    The app reminds me of Windows 98. The pricing seems magical until you factor in that parking officers (at least here in Toronto) are super aggressive and are constantly giving out BS tickets - and that Communauto has a policy that you can't do anything about them. They immediately pay them in full and bill you for it AND add an additional made-up fee of their own on top. Getting a car for a weekend get-away was $200; a silly ticket that I could easily have gotten thrown out if given a chance ended up being $120.

    In Calgary the actual car service is great. However the app and customer service need dramatic improvements. I started on the Open plan but then wanted to upgrade to the Open Plus plan to save money: you can't do that in the app or on the website! What?! I had to send a message via the Contact form. I never heard back from them. 9 days later I was still on the original plan and I had missed out on savings on 3 trips. I can't believe in this day and age that I can't manage my subscription in the app, causing me to have to contact customer service by phone. Which I did ... and I had to wait over 30 minutes to speak to someone. To be fair, when she answered she was helpful. But she said it would take yet another 3 business days to change my subscription. Hey Communauto, please tell me you are working to fix this ridiculous situation?!

    I have a terrible experience with this application . It was the second time that I booked a car, but when I arrived to the station, I could not find the car and I lost my important meeting. The interesting point is that each time, I have been charged for 0 km distance trip. I called the support team, each time stayed in the line for more than 30 minutes no one answered. I sent them an email, got no response.

    Terrible, I reserved a car 2 weeks in advance, when I arrived the car had 0 battery and could not be used. Calling their support I was put on hold for 10+ minutes with no response. OK no problem, I just booked another car, ubered across the city to get there. When I got there, I could not unlock the car with the mobile app like communauto said I would be able to. So here I am, waiting for their support to pickup. Ruined my weekend, can't even use a car

    Wow, so many negative experiences on here. I'll add to the list. I've been waiting 2+weeks to get my membership approved so far. I'm that time I've contacted them by email twice (no response either time), and by phone 3 times. Each phone call involved a wait time of around 30 minutes, followed by a standard spiel of "most applications are processed within 7 business days but sometimes this is not possible..." blah blah.

    Apart from it not being very cost efficient, I've found this service quite handy and usually pleasant. Except when something goes wrong. Getting support is hopeless.. They also have very punitive policies and fees in small text

    The service itself is good, the app is not. It's pretty slow, frequently has issues with refreshing available cars, and if you need to modify your booking the app will take FOREVER to refresh the list. It also frequently crashes when choosing a car or searching for one

    It took 3 days to be able to subscribe in this nonsense app, because it did not accept my credit cards. I tried two credit cards in few days, but it doesn't work. Thanks a lot the consumer service for ignoring my email, and not giving a damn to the clients! Bravo!

    Very bad customer service. Everytime you call you have to wait for one hour to get an answer. No cars available on the weekends. Sometimes I book a car, but when I go to the location to pick it up the car is not available. The app crashes and shows false data. Too bad we don't have another option I. Montreal otherwise they'd go bankrupt. Not competitive by any means.
