Just updated to new version. Whenever there is an update, I wonder do these App development team does a general feedback check before launching. The CNA news and contents are still very good. But the UI is moving backwards. Old App (You can swipe left to right to read the next article, without going back to the main menu. Now, you can't. I would love to flip the page from one article to the next without going back to the main menu. New App is to make the reading experience better, not worst.

As the saying goes, "don't fix something that ain't broken." The added complexity of this new update makes navigating the app no easier than using the website. Also, i am totally fine with the new ads placement and login feature, but please don't do it at the expense of the content. Sincerely, bring back the "latest news" segment and make scrolling from 1 article to the next more intuitive. Capitalise on your strengths and fix your weaknesses, not the other way around. I know you can do better.

Previously, I was able to click and launch the "Bookmark this: Our comprehensive coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic and its developments" at the end of each news update to view the overall update of the international COVID-19 statistics. With the updated app, I'm no longer able to do so. Error msg, "Can not open "/coronavirus-covid-19". Please advise

Please allow images/attachments to be zoomable, just like the previous version. It's practically difficult/impossible to read those images/attachments at small phone. Ads also become more annoying as it auto expand/resize as I scroll the news and made me do another extra scroll every time. Otherwise, it's all fine. Thanks!

Resubmitting a Poor rating of this so called "improved app" here. Good that Latest News section has been reinstated. But why is it not sorted according to latest first? The same in other news sections. You can no longer flip to next page & have to go back to the main section to select the next news. My Feed section is rubbish bcos you are given very limited options & you can't put in your own. It's a shame the experience is worse than before & the so called improvement is a total embarrassment.

App was good (except that sometimes a large infographic would render the UI unscrollable) until this morning, when it refused to open and kept prompting me to do an update when there isn't any update on the play store. Using Pixel 4a on Android 10. Edit: The update is finally available after clearing Play Store cache. Thanks for the quick response, developers!

Thanks for bringing back the latest news feature. But your developers are doing a lazy way of using android Web view rather than an optimized way. You might as well ask readers to read through Web browser and remove this app. But as what other ppl has commented. If it ain broken don't fix it, You either bring back your previous version of the app rather than this new version. Still 1 star, but if could I will give a minus 5 star instead.

Horrible upgrade. Not user friendly at all in my opinion. Cant believe they didn't test out user reviews first. First, can't even forward article as it defaults back to the app page (including desktop site that defaults back to app). Second, hard to understand where all the news are at because article is all over the place ( maybe new look or just sore to the eyes). Third, ads seems to be the main focus at top. Fourth...nevermind, I just uninstalled it... Too difficult.

The latest ver 4.0.0 looks fancy but the loading time for each article takes longer now and with more and bigger ads. They have removed the swiping function to go back/forth on the articles. Now each time have to exit to main menu just to read next article. Inefficient! They also removed the display option to allow compact view of the main menu without showing the thumbnails. No more minimalistic, clean look but cluttered! Now also unable to select & copy the text in the article for definition!

Thank you for your quick response by adding the 'Latest News' tab in the new app. Could you also include the swiping function to read the next news article? Also do remember to add the ability to click and enlarge all pictures and infographics to see the details. All these features were available on your previous cna app. From 1 star, I will give 2 stars, and will change to 5 stars (just like before the latest update) if all the features I mentioned above are rectified. Thank you once again.
