My 'go to' every day. Obviously the app can only be as accurate as the forecast but the app itself works well, recognises even very rural areas so that you get your local forecast, and gives you simple, easy to understand forecasting. There are no whistles and bells but you do get the most up to date forecast and weather warnings. That's what I want from a weather app.

The app is ok it's a 50/50 chance as to whether it's accurate. This might just be in the area I living but instance I was due to do so work outside and the forecast on the app was sunny all day with no chance of rain. I started work at the clients and there was heavy rain for the best part of the day. So the following morning I did what the bushman do and looked at the clouds, felt the temperature and guest it was going to be another rainy day. I was right 😁. Use as a Reference guide only

The widget frequently hangs while updating (continuous rotating arrow or 'Loading...' message) and, if I tap to load the app, I get the blue sky with clouds background but nothing else is displayed. It may be waiting for a resource, possibly the device location. The problem mostly arises on my Samsung Galaxy S8+ with Android 9.0 whereas it appears more stable on my S7 and S7 edge duos with Android 8.0. The forecasts differ significantly from my other weather apps and are generally less reliable.

Clear display. Accurate local forecasts. Concise information easily accessible. However, this app persistently fails to load or open, usually once or twice a week. The only way to rectify this is to clear all cache and data and begin anew - not ideal for an app you want ticking over in the background and available at a glance

Couldn't be more wrong!!! I'm going to delete the app and suggest everyone does the same, they might look into developing something that actually works, in fact if they just forecast the exact opposite then they would have a significantly more accurate forecast almost every time. Is this just dodgy software or are people actually being paid for this garbage?

I realise that forecasting can be difficult especially as areas seem to have micro climates that interfere with what really happens. But because a lot of people depend on the weather for their daily lives it really does need to be more cohesive that it appears.

Hopeless, inaccurate, frustrating.... just some adjectives to describe how inaccurate the BBC seems to be at forecasting..... unbelievable with the amount of technology we have now. Weather forecasting was far more accurate back in the 70s where I grew up and they didn't have all this tech then. My advice if you want to know what the weather is doing.... just stock your head out the window 😂

Great! Most of the time! 95% of the time, the app works great. I find it to be about 75% accurate. The other 5% of the time, it crashes or won't load. All I have to do is go into the app settings and clear the cache. Usually. But every now and then, that doesn't fix it, so I need to uninstall and re-install the app. Frustrating, but worth it 🙂

Very poor forecasting. Often wrong. One example sat here with the app saying sunshine and dry all day whilst looking out of the window at the rain and dark clouds. So frustrating whilst trying to arrange anything.

It seems all the focus went into making this app look great and slick to use but zero attention was paid to obtaining accurate weather data upon which to hang all those lovely graphics. Pitifully inaccurate "forecasts" and tardy, incorrect updates to try and fudge over the fact that the app got it wrong in the first place are unworthy of the Beeb. No ads, which is good, but apart from that, and how it looks, this is a miserably poor and unreliable app from the BBC. Worse than useless.
