Reviews From google play store

Why is it that the app will be working fine on my phone, but then you do an update and it starts acting up? It is constantly freezing on me, it takes me 2 or 3 minutes just to play a song because it runs extremely slow now, and it shuts off while trying to play music because of the freezing. Everything was fine until you "updated" it, and it's been like this for the past two updates. Aren't updates supposed to make the app better?

What's the point of downloading songs for offline play, when it seems to need to connect to the internet before you can get to that section of the app? If I have poor service, the loading circle just spins and spins, never let's me access the stuff already downloaded. It's also very irritating when the app asks you if you want to join their subscription service. Every. Single. Time. You. Open. It. Give us the option to turn that off.

Doesn't work at all with Android Auto. It doesn't offer your custom Playlist and won't play any song requested by voice request. It will only play the last song you might have played prior. So if that happens to be one song, be prepared to hear that one song repeated indefinitely. For someone who has invested his entire music collection/service in Amazon, I feel ripped off that I can't play the music I'm paying for in the most likely use case.

Not user friendly when it comes to making your own playlists. You should be able to go to an artist, click a button that automatically sets up a playlist of every song available on prime so you don't have to do it with each individual album. You should also be able to add an entire album to a playlist individually if you want to. At least on my phone, not every album allows you to add the whole album to a playlist. You have to add each song individually. Editing playlists is a poor interface.

I have recently moved to Amazon Music from Pandora. I did this because one benefit of Prime is receiving this music at no extra cost. I am careful not to accept any of the offers to get "Amazon Music Unlimited". That would cost me $8 a month. Becoming familiar with app I still do not fully understand it like I did with Pandora. Amazon Music is a suprisingly useful collection. I do not like their so called "stations". They are so poor I don't use them and therefore I am not discovering artists.

Was all good until now (must've happened within the past week or so). Used to be able to purchase and download music no problem. Now not only do i need to subscribe with amazon music premium to download the music i purchase, it requires a credit card to subscribe. Well... I dont use credit cards. So i guess i wont be buying my music from amazon anymore

I had this service as a part of Prime before. I quite Prime, but I'm back partly to use Prime Music again. Low and behold Amazon has done nothing to improve its clunky, non intuitive player/interface. It's still awkward to use on a Galaxy. I'm a big guy with big fingers so it's very awkward picking songs from the large sound base I've created. Amazon is EXTREMELY WEALTHY (understatement of the century) and can afford programmers to clean this thing up. Just look at your competitors.

Talk about a big screw you to the people that are perfectly happy buying individual albums (which is more than the monthly unlimited plan). Why would you take away the ability to make playlists? Thanks a lot for adding a paywall for one of the oldest and simplest digital music features! This is stupid. Now I have to download all my music and play it in a different app! You got greedy and you suck!

Without a doubt, I Amazon Music Unlimited has become an absolute favorite app. Why? For one, I have yet to choose an album or artist that hasn't been found in the Unlimited library. Second, I love the convenience of paying for a year's worth of service. Finally, its download feature helps me listen on the go. Overall, I can't think of a better way to spend my money.

Simple, started to use it recently as the trial proce was attractive. I was expecting more music and the app to be less clunky. Plenty of room for improvement and a great service at an amazing trial price of just 99p for the first 4 months. Looks forward to new updates on the app. Doesn't work great with Google home unlike the competitor services.

In comparison to one other streaming service, Amazon music is sorely lacking in good curated playlists. The library is missing some albums. At least one artist page had mixed up two different artists with the same name but from different eras. Apps and website also lack full casting support (eg. to any other device which already supports Amazon music). So Amazon music is ok. But not great.

😠It sucks @ss for it to be a PAID subscription, it should be free🤨!!!!!! It freezes more often than not, doesn't save all chosen songs to playlist when you try to save again it informs you "song already saved" when you look for it in your playlist IT ISN'T THERE🤬!!!!!! I've closed app, uninstalled & installed app many times & problem continues 🤬smh.... I'm going back to YouTube I didn't have these problems with my paid subscription with them😐😁

Getting better with each update. Immediately subscribed to the HD service which has replaced Google Play Music for me. It would really help music discovery of there was/is a random wildcard option to formulate a random list of potentially liked music based on your history. The weekly play list is a good start but being able to select randomly formulated play lists with a button or widget is great for discovery and appreciation.

Love it I just wish I could download music to play on my other music player, I have so many options for audio on it with it's built in EQ. Something Amazon might consider is adding a EQ for the basic edition you try to scam people into more upgrades when there should only be two, basic and paid edition. Thanks but you asked my opinion

I am mostly happy with the app, however a recent update seems to have broken my phones settings with reference to my sd card. Otherwise I'm pretty happy, especially with the ease and portability of my purchased music . 11.22.19 A new issue has appeared. Suddenly, I cannot create a playlist in my own devices from my purchased music. This drops the stars to one or less. Needs fixed.

Overall its been a good experience but still there are many loopholes that need the attention of the DEV team of this app. Firstly, thumbnails of the dwnlded songs gets a bit pixelated. U won't face this issue if u stream songs online. Secondly, there is no option for sorting the self-made playlists alphabetically. Thirdly, in-app swiping actions could have been smoother. (For the Indian version, all the songs under the label YRF are unavailable. This is a major issue.)

I really enjoy the app, and like how easy it is to use. The hands-free option is nice since I don't have a car with bluetooth, just an aux cable. One way I think would improve the app is to make it easier to add songs to offline playlists. I'm new to the app so correct me if I'm wrong, but downloading then sorting (and having it jump up a few times) is tedious. I have existing playlists I like to add to. (: Other than that, schweet!

Been a paid Amazon Music subscriber for years but I am quite annoyed to find out that your latest version now gives people access to thousands of songs/stations for free. I'm here stuck paying £12.99 for HD music per month as you don't even do a student discount on HD yet. Went from just £4.99 for standard music with student discount but now have to pay an increase of £8 just for HD. Personally I feel you should be looking after existing paying members before trying to attract in more users.

When connected to my car's bluetooth Amazon music will automatically start playing which can be quite annoying. Maybe it's a setting that I haven't discovered yet. Amazon music is supposed to be part of Amazon prime yet they want you to pay more $ In order to listen to all Amazon music even if you are a prime member. The free trial was almost impossible to cancel. I feel like I pay enough for Amazon prime I should be able to have all Amazon Music without having to pay even more monthly.

It's a really amazing music app. Has a repository of many songs of different languages and in HD quality. However, when we click on a song, its not displaying the song we are currently listening to. It's showing some other song. Please have this rectified. I noticed in the latest update, some brilliant efforts were made to change the UI, great going dev team :) Looking forward to a more user friendly interface and easy access to the songs in our current playlist... Cheers :)

Thoroughly satisfied except for two issues. Amazon Music has a different version of the Stones live album "No Security" than I have, with many of my favorites from my version left out. Also it can't find the album AC/DC Live. That's discouraging. Update: After becoming more familiar with the app I have learned more about how to navigate in order to get MOST of the tracks from the particular albums from which I want those tracks to come. 4 1/2 stars.

I loved this app but the latest update means I can no longer add my own offline songs to a playlist unless I sign up for unlimited which I don't want to do. If I own the music which is being played from my SD card not via online then I should be able to create playlists as I want. Not happy with this 'upgrade'

Pros: Usually plays music. Cons: Will not resume a song that you pause. It starts the song at the beginning again. Widget does not always update when the song changes. Does not work properly with Android Auto. Does not work with Google Home. You have to chrome cast to the device. I've only been using this for about a week on a 4 month trial for 99 cents. I honestly feel like I got ripped off paying 99 cents for this aggravating app that doesn't work right. Back to Spotify I go.

I have used Slacker Radio for years. I also used Pandora for several months after getting a free trial and then continuing my subscription. To me, when I thought of Amazon, music just didn't even fit with the idea of anything Amazon related. I don't even remember what brought me to Amazon Music. It may have been that they offered a free trial and I was jobless and broke. But wow...I love it!!! I can't believe I have missed out on it for this long! I have enjoyed it SO much more than Slacker!

Use to be compatible with Google home but now won't let me cast my music. I'd rather use some other streaming service that lets me play my PAID content on whatever speaker I want. I also can no longer use my phone to make music play on my echo or echo dot which seems incredibly dumb. Should be easy seeing as it's all the same company

Great selection of music but wish the "you might like" feature was a little more robust. And you cant edit playlists from the app. So im still looking for my perfect streaming service. I will say this one costs less than the Google product and it's as good if not better.

Updated from 16.2.4. Loathe the new format. There is no easy way to close the mini player, and finding the play queue so you can clear it and close the mini player isn't easy either. It is not longer listed in the three dot menu. I can no longer add my music that I paid for to the playlists I created unless I join unlimited. I am pissed The new version no longer supports/plays .3gp files.

No App can get 5 🌟 From my side because it needs to improve Then What in amazon Prime music ? Ok let me tell first don't tell that I need to report or forward to this and that authority from email. Problem faced by me 1. Network Issue : The images are not loaded in even high speed data network on Wifi. 2. Alexa Problem: When I play the music Alexa sometimes get activated Due to the music. It Has Smooth UI and Large collection which is very good. All over compared to other It is Good

Imperfect Android Auto Integration. I understand that there are limited functions ensuring safety. But we need a few important things to go with this app on AA. 1. A better selection of music libraries, other than just our saved and liked music. 2. No option to like or store a song to liked album. Spotify has this. Instantly we can segregate songs which we like to a playlist. 3. Cannot see my own created playlists under the playlist tab in android auto. Very annoying and less used app on AAuto

My songs comes from my sd card, which places it in the offline music. Every song downloaded on that sd card didn't come from Amazon streaming services. I could still use the offline music and use everything offered. Now, you have to pay a good chuck of those features monthly! Why should I have to pay to play my offline music that I downloaded to gain all it's features? I'm highly disappointed in this new update and until that's changed, I'll be using a different app for my music.

New update stinks! I can't create new or edit playlists with songs I've PURCHASED through Amazon! I'm not talking about streaming free music. I bought all the songs I want to put in playlists and can't. I can't even shuffle them. I can't download them. Ugh! So frustrating. Used to be my favorite but I'll be looking around to see what else I can use. I've reached out for help and everything they sent me to do has not resolved the issue.

Sound is great but offline music and especially integration with Android Auto needs work. Android Auto integration is full of bugs (music constantly stops playing and some songs refuse to play) and it's not possible to simply select an album to listen to when playing offline. If these issues are fixed then I would highly recommend Amazon Music HD but as is I don't think I will be subscribing passed the trial.

Playlist Ability LOST . DO NOT DOWNLOAD I've spent 100s if not 1000s of pounds on mp3 they want me to PAY to create new / add to prior playlists for songs I've already bought for use in their player?!?! The option is greyed out!!! DISGRACEFUL - DO NOT DOWNLOAD I have emailed to air my disgust - may this be fixed!

This app has completely taken a turn for the worse recently. My "offline music" with Music Unlimited won't play without an internet connection and either displays "not connected to internet" or "playback error 180" if this doesn't get resolved in the next week I'm going to Spotify

I would have given 5 stars, but for about a month now it's been making a weird noise while the song is playing and then it goes back to the beginning of the song and just stops playing. If I hit play, it will play the song but there is no volume. I have to hit the next button and then it plays fine. It will do this 3 or 4 times in an hour. Then it will play just fine for a few hours and then it starts all over again. I'm ready to delete the app from my phone.

I'm disgusted with this current app. Inability to augment my offline playlists unless I subscribe to unlimited. They say they are working on the issue. I will discontinue use of the app until it us fixed. Until then I'll be using a different app to enjoy the music I own!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Used to have no issues but now music is downloaded to a single folder causing albums to overwrite each other and get scrambled. Album art is also no longer displayed. I sent app logs and detailed reproduction steps and their reply was basically to tell me to shut up and wait. EDIT NOV 22. DOWNLOAD ISSUE STILL EXISTS!!

This is the last straw. I have been buying and playing music using this app for years now and there's always a new problem with it. Now they made it so that in order for you to add songs THAT YOU PAID FOR to your playlists you have to pay to join "prime unlimited" which is absolutely ridiculous. They also removed play queues. I used to always edit and add new songs to my playlists that are over 2 years old and now I have to pay to do that? I'm done with this app. Go to hell Amazon.

We have a family Music Unlimited account, which let us download/stream music through our Echo Dot. We can now longer do this due to Amazon's meddling, as only the Music Unlimited account holder can play music to the registered device. If I want to listen to mine, i have to deregister the Echo and re register it in my name, totally pointless and a waste of time.

I had google play music but once i discovered this app and realized it had more songs that i was looking for i deleted google play music and switched to amazon music. It has everything i was looking for and it was cheaper than google play music. Absolutly love it. Best music app i have ever used. Thank you amazon music for being so awesome.

Frustrating that it keeps starting playlists and albums etc on first song. I used to love the app but even my kids are getting fed up with it now, telling me to get new songs or a new playlist because they here the same songs on the school run. It used to continue on the song you last listened to adding variety but going to the first song is frustrating.

I've only been using this app for a couple of days. I paid for a special price for the next four months to have unlimited music. The choices of music is great. I'm able to make playlist and there isn't any music so hard that I haven't been able to find. The only issue that I've noticed is that it pauses for half a second while playing music. It continues right afterwards so it's not really a big issue but not something that should be happening with payment for unlimited.

The app needs work. The music available is pretty good, but the app is inconsistent between my devices (which are both the same os and manufacutrer). Also, it is maddening to have 2 of the same album listed and not be able to delete the duplicate. For what I pay for the subscription, it ought to work better than this. I may go back to Apple music.

So so, so far. I have Amazon Music for in home, and I thought that on my phone I would have the same hands-free experience. Not so. Amazon, why can't I search for or request music only when my phone screen is unlocked and the app is open? It works with Android Auto, yrs, but not with voice activation when the screen is off. Fix this.

Coming from Spotify to Amazon music unlimited. Amazon had a feature that allowed you to see all of the previous albums and songs you've listened to. This is something Spotify has cut back on and I was ready to praise Amazon on having this feature. But now it only shows the last four albums you have listened to with no option to see more. This is an important feature for me my review will be one star until fixed.

Used to be 4 stars. Now music stops playing randomly. Then when you try to play it says no internet connection even though I can stream video or surf the web. Very pushy for subscription, but if the music service I pay for via my prime membership is intermittent; why would I pay more? Every update makes it harder to use, keep hiding or changing locations of stations/genres, etc.

As of 18/11/19...have to say something about the way the app has changed..Play queue?.. have I missed something?..all I did was use bluetooth ear buds! Ive spent 2 hours if not more of my time trying to figure out WHY songs double up if not quadruple! Uninstall..install..and THIS was at the instruction of Customer Service!.. Now I see we have two or more lists..the one coming thru my headset was the play queue..which I eventually found myself and cleared.... why were we not told of the changes?

I have been using this app for a few years now and everytime there is an update it doesn't really seem like anything has been fixed. My major issue with this app is the music player widget. It doesn't seem to sync with the app. And when I press play on the widget, after not listening to music for a few hours, it doesn't play. I have to go into the music app itself. So what's the point of the widget? Also, songs sometimes stop playing in the middle and the app closes on its own.

Very clunky app design and home page , signed up for 90 days free and I'm being charged £10 a month for 3 months then £15 after that . Yeah the album's may be in cd quality or higher but with no way of playing them higher than cd quality on your main hifi system I can't see how I can benefit using aptx Bluetooth as no support streaming via WiFi over internet like Spotify and tidal !!!!! Think Amazon needs to rethink this app seriously to attract people from other streaming sources !

I like that I have access to Amazon music and the new HD and Ultra HD, however there are a lot of glitches. Even though my music is offline it still takes a minute to pull up. When I want to play a certain song sometimes it will skip to a different song. And some artist or albums aren't available that might be on another streaming site.

I used to really like this app. Sure, some songs didn't have lyrics, but that's very minor compared to the recent update, which now disallows you from even adding a song to an existing playlist, creating a new playlist, or even rearranging the list after you shuffle it, which I do/did frequently. Seriously, Amazon, grow yourself a brain and go back to the previous version! I shouldn't have to pay a dime just to add a song to a playlist! Forcing users to pay to do that is nothing short of theft!

Amazon Music search engine isn't smart. For example, if you are searching for the 'Phil Collins' but instead typed 'Phil Collin', your search will come up with no result. In other words, you have to know and type exactly what you are looking for otherwise nothing will be found. You can't add a whole album to a playlist. The app is a battery drainer in a way that Google Play Music isn't.

All my offline music that I had downloaded suddenly needed to be redownloaded to be played. That was inconvenient but not a deal breaker. The real issue came when I went to redownload them. I keep getting an immediate error as though its not even trying. Now my songs aren't available offline and many of the songs already on my phone before I downloaded this music app were never able to play here either. So Im going to uninstall unless I can play my songs again.

I subscribed a couple of years ago and canceled because of how bad the app and overall user experience was. So I decided to give them another shot when they recently offered 4 month trial for $0.99. I can tell you that it isn't even worth that much. It's embarrassing how bad this app is compared to other subscription music services. Constant crashes, songs just deciding not to play, playlists refusing to add songs or save edits.. just all around terrible. Will not be renewing once my trial ends.

A lot more work to do on functionality, it fails in many areas especially in integration with other manufacturers and the device options, not what I've come to expect from Amazon and unless things improve dramatically by the time my trial period if up I shall just return to Spotify which for me is perfect if a little more expensive. Alexa also doesn't perform well other than very simple commands.

Generally good app. Recently though I've had albums that I've downloaded for offline listening bring greyed out, with no way of fixing them other than downloading the music again. Also some of the UHD songs don't play at their full bit/sample rate. New issue where the the app is complaining that the SD is read only, no issue with the SD card though.

Too much to improve. 1) album art delay on displaying. 2)necessity to be online to listen to DOWNLOADED musics. Why? 3) some musics are not playable. Either they skip, stops randomly, no music os played, only the sound of cassete player when the tape used to stuck (i am not paying for an 80's experience). 4) Amazon unlimited should be applied for exclusive versions only. Release at least the Studio versions of our favourite artists.

Great collection of music however it is nigh on impossible to download an album for later playback unless you go to artist then find the album and then download. If you just go to the album and download it just does nothing and sometimes you can't get to the album through the artist so you just can't download it as it hangs and does nothing but says it's downloading even though it's not. Also when you tap a song it just plays that one on repeat rather than moving to the next once it's finished.

I've been using Amazon Music for playing for my offline music collection on my phone for the last few years; one of the great things I loved about using the app was the customized playlist option. Now apparently after an update, the playlist option has been regulated to only Amazon Subscribers, this is very disappointing. Couple that with the annoying barrage of advertisements about subscribing to Prime, I am greatly considering purchasing music elsewhere. BRING BACK THE PLAYLIST OPTION.

The new update is TERRIBLE! Both on my amazon fire kindle and on my LG-K 10 phone, the app won't let me access my playlists or make new ones! Well then, WHY DOES THE SETTING EVEN EXIST IN THE FIRST PLACE?! It stalls and takes way too long to load, more than it did before, and I am outraged. Congratulations, amazon, you killed Amazon Music and it died a horrible death!! 😡 Fix it now, before the vein in my head pops

Audio is choppy, the app doesn't load sometimes. Offline music feature is the worse because it doesn't load without connecting to the internet. The same app on iOS is so much " better". By "better" I mean working like it's supposed to be. I'd give it a zero if that was possible.

No live Rush and no compilations. I'm already missing Tidal. This is a 4 month 99cent trial so that might have something to do with it. I'm trying to take it easy here with my rating being this is a trial but, this is supposed to be unlimited so I'm getting worried.

It's ok BUT..if you want to play HD music through an HQ AV system, forget it! I have Amazon HD music on my phone & PC but there seems to be no way if getting true 192 24bit to my Hifi system without buying additional hardware. If I am expected to pay a monthly fee I also would expect Amazon to make it more accessible to reproduce the music on a system whereby you can truly appreciate the sound!

With the new update you can no longer create your own playlist offline unless you are signed up and charged for unlimited service. So basicly you pay to listen to the music that you already paided buying the albums songs. How are you to make a song list unless you spend time staring at your phone which is kinda hard when you use it as a option to radio and your job is to drive for a living!!!! Really Amazon not a good idea to do this!!!!

Perfectly fine audio quality and selection of music, but it's seriously glitchy in so many aspects. Forget trying to reorder songs in your play queue without it screwing it up. It tends to be unreliable, and when you do manage to move something, if often thinks it's playing the next song, while still playing the song it was playing before, which means you literally can't play a certain song in your play queue without clearing the whole thing. A few other minor issues

It was fine normally, but when I got my own amazon account, it immidately switched to that account, which had no songs. When I finally got back on that account, all of the songs were gone, just they were all on 'online music'. I tried to download them, so I could listen offline, but it just said 'song not available' and went off and didn't download it. It was saying 'downloading' but didn't actually download. Basically, it doesn't work anymore. Can anyone help and say what I could do?

I have been an active user on amazon music for 4 years since I got my samsung galaxy phone. Just recently though they updated and now I can hardly do anything besides just listening to the music. No making playlists or adding to playlists or many other things unless I upgrade to unlimited music. This makes no sense. I'm just trying to listen to my own music which 99% of I didnt even buy from Amazon. I think it is really stupid and irritating that I would have to upgrade and spend more money.

I like it so far...I mean I would just stick with Google play however with Amazon I get deals buying stuff online plus I get free 2 day shipping, I get access 2 amazon prime video &music unlimited, drive, photo etc..I don't get a Google app 2 watch shows and movies...YouTube maybe but you have 2 pay extra 2 watch stuff without advertisements.

I used to be able to go through a small process and download my purchases on the website, but i was forced to download this app just to download songs that I paid money for! That's bullcrap, I'm never going to use this app for anything but downloading music that I bought; I don't want to be forced into downloading anything because a company is greedy. Bullcrap, Amazon, that's greedy bullcrap.

I have changed my review! I use to have 5 stars for the app but now that they have started charging for half the songs they are barely holding onto a 3. I have learned to not listen to any one song too much or they will move it over to their "limited" side. I already pay for Prime but that wasn't enough.

Sound wise, with Hi Def audio (cd quality and higher) Amazon has hit the sweet spot! I've tried Tidal, Qobuz, Primephonics and Idagio and listen mainly to classical music but with the Amazon Music HD subscription (also BTW the least expensive for HiRes). This streaming service and app sounds the best to me. Granted to fully appreciate it you need at least good Bluetooth headphones with Aptx or AptxHD or a decent speaker(s). The app may have a few bugs but it seems to be continually improving.

The app is always running even when i am not using it! It drains my phones battery very quickly! If i didnt have Prime, i would have deleted this app. I still might if it continues to drain my battery like it has been. It only started draining my battery fast since the latest update. U update to fix it and end up wishing u hadnt done it! I wish i hadnt changed my music listening app from Iheart radio to Amazon Music. U might pay a bit more, but your battery doesnt die from having it INSTALLED

Real problems with online/offline playlists. Why does it make the distinction? Spotify doesn't. Don't know what the developers were trying to achieve but now I have some downloaded playlists that don't show in offline? Just a mess. Fails to sync playlists across devices. Doesn't play the song you select. An utter shambles of an app. Disgraceful for a company the size of Amazon.

Much much better then youtube music. And .99 cents for 4 months can't be beat. I can download for use in app or buy. Large selection of music. After my first month I'll have to see if I have to redownload songs again... my main complaint against youtube. If same thing happens here I'll remove a few stars. Stay tuned.

Wish it was more compatible with side loaded audiobooks making it a quality all in one media player. It's missing the ability to hold the location inside a track, the ability to skip forward or back 10/30 seconds within a track, and the ability to listen to a track at a faster speed. As a music player it work fine. It's pretty standard, but I think it'd be better if it was a one stop app for all my listening needs.

The sound is great and it works well with my Sonos system. However, when out and about the app is almost unusable. It intermittently pauses when running in the background or when I open other apps. If the user experience doesn't improve for the last month of the trial, I'll go back to Spotify.

Used to work perfect but recently it keeps on showing all my downloaded songs unavailable because "SD Card was removed or it cannot read it and hence reinsert SD Card" (The sd card is in the device), hence making me clear app data and download the songs again and again. The problem is occurring every few days. Please solve the issue.

This app used to be very good and i liked it a lot, however there's recently been some some bugs that have been messing up the experience. I've been trying to play a specific song but it skips right over it to the one after, if I hit play next for it or let it get shuffled naturally it just skips that song. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app as well as restarted my phone. Nothing. This isn't the first time I've had a bug like this but they were always manageable until now.

Amazing audio quality, great selection. However it's literally not allowing me to play explicit versions of songs. I select the unedited album and everything, the profanities are even in the lyrics. But all I can listen to is censored versions which is terribly annoying. Hoping they fix this asap. Will update review when fixed.

I am a paid unlimited user. I should not have ads on an app I am paying for monthly. Edit: Also, I feel like the sleep timer should be more accessible, I use it more than a lot of the other functions in the app and it is not even on the top of the settings list. For it to be so low it would make sense if it was a setting that is kept on, not saying that it should be.

Great! Love this App. I find it more organized than most app I have used. When you search a particular artist, you get mostly songs from that specific singer. Other apps give you a song here and there with a bunch of other artists who play similar style, Amazon music is more focus. Some things can improve, for instance when I search the same singer for a second time,I may not want to hear songs from the previous search. It would be nice to have new songs from their repertoire. Overall I'm happy

The music sounds great but the UI leaves a lot to be desired. Amazon needs to either buy Spotify or steal their ideas and implement them. Where is gapless playback? I read where its supposed to work automatically now but it doesnt...just tested on Pink Floyd The Wall and KISS worky. Also, please make it where if you save an Artist, you can actually find the artist later and browse their catalog. I could care less about being notified when an artist releases something new. Come on...

Great app, a few snags. Many choices. Soundtracks from movies are even an option. There are a few problems that can be fixed by clearing cache and storage. Every once in awhile the current song playing won't change when you choose a new one, or a playlist won't shuffle all of the songs. It might go through 20 and then loop. Sometimes bringing up the Now Playing at the bottom lags really hard. Doing mass movement of songs is difficult through the app whereas it is easy in the web browser.

Had some issues off the bat ,not being able to download music (error 200) . The technical team were fast to help out. In the end it seems if you already have the app downloaded and Start a new subscription, you need to delete and download the app again . After this it now works perfectly

Definitely has problems. 1. The app will push the song name, album, etc. (metadata) for the first song, but never the next or any others. If I hit shuffle then it will show the metadata, but never when I let it play to the next song by itself. 2. Music sometimes randomly pauses. 3. The offline music won't load when no data is present... so kind of useless.

-1 star for lack of sorting options (especially not being able to sort an artist's songs or any playlist by alphabetical order). -1 star for not being able to play downloaded music without first being connected to the internet. -1 star for being glitchy (songs sometimes skip every few seconds regardless if they have been downloaded).

Warning: do not download! This NOT A FREE APP! Amazon is a rip off. They now charge you 6.99 for creating playlists of your own song that you already paid for! You can no longer upload songs. They continual to change their policies so end up paying for every little single. Their have NO customer service! If they mess up on a download or discharge you. Too bad. THEY DO NOT CARE! There are other apps that are free and better.

Well, all my downloaded music is greyed out and no longer accessable. I spent hours building a music selection and it seems none of it is available with a Prime subscription. Edit; after writing about my issue I received a reply. In it one option to fix this issue was to remove and reinstall. This worked and I'm back to rockin my tunes.

You have to get unlimited to be good. Half of the songs I downloaded I can't play anymore. But you can bet that I can't listen to an entire album from a band that I downloaded no more than two weeks ago. You have to pay the extra 7.99 a month to make it feel worth it. At least with Spotify I have a good chance to listen to a song that I want to hear.

Loved the app, loved being able to organize the songs I bought off amazon into playlists. Cant do that anymore though?? Just went to make a new playlist and got a popup saying I have to buy into their premium music service if I want to make playlists. I liked that all I had to do was buy the songs and download them for offline listening, I'm not paying monthly to do that!

Albums are missing, albums shown as hd audio but has 1 or more tracks in only cd/mp3 quality, albums not sorted in an order like original time of release, albums and singles not being separated, repeated albums, albums having multiple versions of the same track in the same album, a song you've selected can sometimes be the wrong version and search results are not always accurate. If you want hd music go with Tidal or Qobuz as this app is a mess.

Great service but the price is a little steep.especially when you consider that when you stop the service all of your downloaded music and a lot of the music that you had access to goes away immediately. It seems like they would offer some sort of a way to keep the music. Since we are paying 9.99 monthly.

Hi. Great app. Wondering if you could move the search text input box lower. The experience is, tapping the magnifying glass icon is at the very bottom of the screen. Then, the input is at the very top, which I have to tap to bring up my onscreen keyboard. It feels weird for a thumb-dominant user like myself. Either that or how about the keyboard comes up by tapping find, and text entry is ready. Thanks!

Every time I shut off my phone or my battery dies. All my music I have down loaded will not play until I get back on line. So if I'm in a dead zone or if my network is down I can't listen to my music. And this latest update sucks. I pick a so g to listen to and it will make its own choice. Who ever took over the choice making for Amazon Music . Is horrible at their job and you need to be replaced this was once a great fine best music app there is and now you have disgraced it.

Lots of music that I had forgotten, now bringing back a lot of memories. I find it a bit of a pain navigating around, maybe it's just me ? On 90 day free trial at present, is it worth £7 a month, well the amount I use it. 7 days a week 5 to 6 hours a night, yes i think it is.

By far my favorite music app. Most of the issues I had in the past have been resolved or refined. Only issue is I would love to be able to save a song in a created playlist without the song being forced into the "my music" playlist. It would be nice to be able to make a playlist like "kids music" without the song also getting into general population.

when trying to skip songs on the lock screen, it will only work sometimes. at times i have to unlock the phone and get into the app, instead. also, skipping songs is slow even when i have them downloaded to the device. Please hire people who can code an app properly. This is a multi-billion dollar enterprise.

Horribly designed, difficult to navigate. If you select a whole album to repeat, half the time it will only load one song, then repeat that ad nauseum. Want to find a song you played a couple days ago? Too bad. Only the very most recent songs appear in "recents", and somehow it's always the few songs you DON'T want to hear again. Just a totally crappy, invasive app, constantly bugging you to upgrade to Unlimited. Really bad. Try Media Monkey instead.

Started the family trial of the HD music service and I can say I am very pleased. I was a Tidal master subscriber, and when paired with my Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones I think that the audio qaulity on Amazon is better and clearer in detail than Tidal. Also has a far better collection of playlists and radio stations and it is easier to navigate than tidal. I will be extending my subscription. Can we get an app for Andriod TV though so I can stream from my TV?
