  1. Cynthia White-avatar

I get Amazon music free with my Amazon Prime subscription, and I am mostly very pleased. There is a fairly wide selection of music and it is easy to create playlists. I have two criticisms: 1) the music is generally mainstream. There is not a good selection of folk music or instrumental classical music. 2) I used to listen to music on Pandora and I really liked that they gave background on the type of music and the band and performers. That was interesting for me and I explored new genres.

  2. A Google user-avatar

This app is great when it works. But it seems to crash constantly and then it must be closed and restarted . And this is regardless of the network or device that I'm on. UPDATE 3-23-20? Canceled my service today. After the last update on my Galaxy S8+, it greyed out all my off-line music and I can't restore it. Response time when a song, or download is requested, is painfully slow! This app worked well for the first two years. WHY DID THEY MESS IT UP?!

  3. Anya Palmer-avatar

Poor usage! The app is only good for storing and playing my songs. It doesn't have play queue anymore. And the big problem is that when I play a playlist, it goes to a completely different song instead of where I was last time after leaving the app. Not only that, it freezes when I return to the playlist, so I'm unable to play the song unless I select both repeat and scramble options.

  4. Gary Barron-avatar

Good app, however I am having trouble viewing and/or downloading pre-ordered music when the album is released (and singles that are released before hand). Twice I have ordered music and accidentally purchased it a second time. It would be nice to have a place to view and/or download pre-ordered music. I hope that makes sense, if that issue get resolved, I'd be more than happy to give this app a 5!!

  5. Saad Khan-avatar

Love it. Works amazingly well with Chromecast Audio and the catalogue is growing at an amazing pace. Pretty much all my favorite artists are on here now. The software is a little buggy though. If I add music to my playlist from my PC app, it shows up in the list on my phone but the song won't play. I have to add it through my phone app for it to play. Other issue is sometimes I click on a song on the playlist but the next song plays instead of the one I clicked.

  6. Tytus Dolowy-avatar

The user interface isn't really clear and could be a lot more efficient. Also it doesn't show lyrics in every song. And also even though you're listening to a creator it doesn't mean all his/her music is free. To say this it isn't organised in a sort of way you can operate intuitively. Nevertheless it's a decent app and the sound quality is not disappointing.

  7. Grahame Gould-avatar

Edit: it forgets where I was and seems to play the same songs over and over. Fix urgently! Original: There are improvements that can be made. E.g. rating songs. Making auto playlists like Windows media player. Being able to add albums or playlists to other playlists. Add a mood option and ranking to songs. Etc. I have the paid version and am feeling I am not really getting my money's worth.

  8. Berkeley Davis-avatar

Unintuitive and slow as molasses. Freezes and crashes regularly. When using it to control music on my Echo or Echo Studio, it's a constant stream of errors. Safe to say I won't continue using Amazon music after my trial is up. Amazon has so much strength in software development that it's astounding to me that they could have such a buggy app for something as simple as music streaming.

  9. Cloud s-avatar

Amazon music is amazing. it's not like other music apps, it doesn't constantly give you ads. so far with my experience, I've had none. it's a really great music app, and I think you should try it! But I do have one teeny tiny problem. Daft punks song "harder better fast stronger" is missing lyrics. It'll do anything except the few bits where all the lyrics are one sentence. It's fine, because I know that part, it's just a little annoying.

  10. Izayiah Smalls-avatar

Amazon Music is truly an incredible mobile app. It has a wide, unlimited variety of over 50,000,000 Songs to choose from! This is definitely worth downloading onto a device. It also pairs up with Alexa, who is also a product created by Amazon. It allows me to make my own playlists, lets me skip any song that I don't like, and listen to the ones that I really love. Props to Amazon for representing this amazing world of musical superiority. #ThankYouAmazon #AmazonAlexa #🎶Music101🎶

  11. Jason Titchnell-avatar

    Jason Titchnell

It was really good. Until I paid for the upgrade. It started out I could only listen to only what was previously added to My Music. I uninstalled the app. Reinstalled it. And now can no longer open my account. I contacted customer service and they were very little help. Update. The team at Amazon squashed the bug. No more problems. App works great!

  12. Raquel Mancha-avatar

This app doesn't have enough of "my type" of music or like music or song that are similar and it's hard to make playlists because you have to look really hard for what you want and some stuff isn't even available. It should make similar songs and playlists based on what I'm listening and looking for and when I follow an artist it doesn't automatically play any other their music I really like how Pandora and YouTube music apps. It's been hard for me to really only listen to Amazon music app only

  13. Sarah Freel-avatar

App stops playing music repeatedly. This occurs when not using other apps and when no other apps are open (also when they are.) I have tried to sign out, uninstall, reinstall, sign in and refresh music. This does not help the issue. It just stops playing intermittently, either during a song or doesn't continue after one finishes. I can be after 5 songs or after 20 songs. There is no rhyme or reason for it. I checked to make sure I did not have sleep time on. It is off. It also skips like a cd.

  14. Jake Guida-avatar

Some UI kinks that could be ironed out. The HD aspect will keep me using this app as my sole provider, so if these kinks are ironed out I will bump to 5. Example: the expandable menu for songs in the queue should have an option for 0lay next. I don't like having to navigate to the song outside of the queue to select play next. Little considerations like this go a long way.

  15. Kevin Mahoney-avatar

Easily the worst music app I have used. Adding a song to "Play Next" is risky because the button is so small that about 30% of the time I end up accidentally playing the song immediately and undoing my play queue in the middle of a workout. Also, probably 50% of the time the "Now Playing" view just doesn't work. I'll have the drop-down notification showing the song but if I tap on it nothing happens - it doesn't even open the music app. Overall the worst music app by far.

  16. Black Boss-avatar

More Amazon garbage. I pay for prime so it's free. Trying to stream music is a nightmare, you will likely wait 5 to 10 minutes between songs for the app to buffer the music so don't listen to it in your car. At this rate they will never reach the popularity pandora or spotify. As a matter of fact you're better off using one of those than this trash.

  17. John Austin-avatar

It's a very good app. Easy to navigate and find stuff. Has tons and tons of music. My only complaint is that music disappears. This is a digital streaming service so I don't know why stuff disappears. They have more than enough gigabytes to store the music. But music still disappears. If the music that I like to listen to is just going to disappear one day, then why bother paying for the service? If all I'm doing is "borrowing" the music, why not just go to a library then?

  18. Stanza Lone-avatar

My first ever online music app and I regret NOTHING. The features are super helpful and the library of music is amazing. Of course there's always room for improvement but I'm sure the folks in Amazon Music are working on it. I have one complaint though. My downloaded music keeps disappearing. When I try to play it offline it shows 'file is corrupt' and I have to re download it. I've had to individually re-download my entire playlist multiple times in just the last 2 weeks. Help!

  19. Paul Weilhart-avatar

Paying for the high quality version. Sound quality is good but the stations and Playlists offered all play the same songs in similar genre's, so end up always playing same stuff over and over. Can still browse pretty well with android app and Samsung TV app, but android auto version is pretty much useless and is where I listen to music often. So at moment not worth price until app / apps are improved, especially if just trying to play random songs based on a genre or similar artist.

  20. Preference Robinson-avatar

    Preference Robinson

I don't know what's going on with their playlists, but I'm seriously considering going back with Pandora! I'll add a song to my playlist and it'll say "Song already in playlist", then I'll go to the playlist and ITS NOT THERE! Also, music I know I've added to my main library suddenly disappears as well! What the hell? I'm already paying for Prime, the music subscription should be free, especially if it keeps acting this way!

  21. Alexander Mues-avatar

I used to extremely love this app for many years that I have had it. I have loved the fact that I could buy my favorite music and download it to my phone. This way I could listen offline and out of service with no interruptions. HOWEVER, recently there was an update to all the music and app. After that all music downloaded after was good to go but I got a notification saying that I needed to delete my old music and redownload it. I did, now can't download anything. Fed up with it. FIX IT!!!!

  22. M Sims-avatar

I love this app because it's easy to use, playlists, some songs have lyrics, and awesome selection of music. However, every once in a while I can't find a song I'm looking for, some of my songs will miraculously become un-downloaded, and sometimes some of my songs will say that they are no longer on there so I have to re-put them on there. But it's still a good app for the most part.

  23. Aron Philip-avatar

One of the worst music applications ever. The loading time. Man it's so slow. I'm paying for this too, "unlimited". Now several songs and albums going missing, no longer available. WTH?! Desktop app, just horrible. The queue doesn't get saved; it resets after closing the application. On Android, Wifi is fine and I waited more than a minute and the "Home" tab still hasn't loaded. Why can't I shuffle my online music along with those in my device? Why do I have to switch to offline mode to do that?

  24. Pat Carey-avatar

Great music app that I figured I'd try out since I'm paying for Prime anyway. Still learning my way around, but it looks like I'll be able to stop paying for Pandora and go with this. So why only 4 stars?i keep getting prompted to pay for the 'upgraded' version. Other than that, pretty happy.

  25. Peter Archer-avatar

I'm sick of this app. Yes it works good with the Echo family and streaming to my phone is fine but download music and play it offline and it's a whole different experience. The music randomly stutters and crackles! This is not a new thing as many users online testify to so I don't understand why it is so difficult for the developers to fix. Stop focusing on the new stuff and fix the basics first. Customer service no help at all. Different headphones no change. Update: All now fixed!

  26. Dave W-avatar

Amazon's inventory of music selection is as good and maybe better than most. The interface is good and will improve. The underlying approach makes sense. There could be more play lists that match my musical preferences. Algorithms that design music based on personal usage and preferences are limited. This may be good or bad depending how you like your listening history being followed. Over all I like the service and expect to continue with it after the trial period ends.

  27. A Perfect Circle-avatar

    A Perfect Circle

I am bewildered at the fact that there is no way to remove an album as a whole from your music library. You have to go and manually remove every song one by one, it's incredibly irritating. Another problem worth mentioning is artists that happen to share the same name all get put under one artist, with all their albums mixed together. An example would be Ghost. If these issues were to be fixed, I would happily rate this app 5 stars.

  28. 0 0-avatar

As a Spotify premium member I've gotta say... Spotify is so much better, wanted to give this a try but the app design and the features are far inferior than what Spotify offers. You'd think that with all that $$ Jeff Bezos would offer a state of the art product. Well, you're wrong. It's basic af. 😕 Underwhelmed.

  29. Rhett F.-avatar

It is very frustrating to take time to make playlist only to have you change the licensing on a song and it no longer plays. Then when I try to add the updated working version, I either get an error or it says it's already on that list. If I try to edit the list it says theres an error removing the song. Also why are some songs not able to be added to a playlist. I can download and listen whenever but I cant add them to a playlist of songs I like. Some songs always have message try again later.

  30. Harsh Chendvankar-avatar

    Harsh Chendvankar

I've used many of the best music apps on the play store but they all had some issues or things which I didn't like and that's why I changed and downloaded another app but this app, Amazon Music is the best it's UI is a bit different but it has no issues I faced before and also the prime membership is amazing too and I think I won't need any other app for music

  31. Cherie Rayner-avatar

*UPDATE: All the problems I had just stopped for two months. Now they are back even worse than before. When I first reviewed this app I gave five stars. Then three stars. Now down to two.* Used to love this app. I have Unlimited. Since last update it's terrible: crashing; stops music; duplicates playlists. I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice and this time I can't download my music anymore. Not impressed. Thinking of cancelling and switching to Spotify.

  32. Subbaya Rai-avatar

I'm a prime member of Amazon and I really enjoy this app . It streams high quality music but takes time even if the internet is fast. But overall it has all the music. Really good app. It would be appreciated if the buffering time would be reduced because you know indias network is not like other countries.

  33. Kieran Coker-avatar

Amazon has a great selection of songs, at least for my taste in music, with everything I could possibly want to listen to. Where this app falls short is its poor user experience. If you download music you would assume that when you next play it, it'll play the downloaded version but it doesnt! It still streams it, I have lost alot of data usage to this app for no real reason! I shouldn't have to switch between offline/online, which I recently discovered

  34. Paul Cash-avatar

They only want you to use it online. Recent update removed the ability to search my own offline music. Supposedly can filter the search after it's performed but miraculously there are never any results found. Plus I'm so sick and tired of the "free trial" spam every time I open the app. My songs are on my SD card, not in the cloud.

  35. Export TheGeek-avatar

Can't see what's on the current Playlist when connected to a dot, no controls available anymore (or were they ever?) for thumbs up/thumbs down. When you click a new song to start playing it an entire screen pops up just for that song and then you have to click back to go back to the playlist that you were looking at.

  36. Steven Postans-avatar

normally fine but can take forever to load the library, the only way to get it sorted is to exit and go back in. now however i have download all my tracks again and its constantly crashing; why do i have to download again, the tracks were fine? NB: Recently had new phone and lost all my downloads despite copying data across. Had to download all my music AGAIN! VERY POOR. And I've lost the album covers??? Terrible app, very buggy.

  37. Briana Middleton-avatar

    Briana Middleton

The music players itself is fine, but buying songs are a pain. You just can't search for a song and buy it if you try to click on the initial link Amazon will try to sell you on their subscription service. What you instead need to do is click on the three dots on the side, click on shop for the artist, and then it will take you to the real shopping menu. I should not have to do all that on the app nor Kindle just to buy a song.

  38. Linda Coffman-avatar

I don't quite get how to do the playlists. It doesn't give me options to add to my lists or how to do it plus it's false advertising when you say free, even for 30 days, and then charge. And finally, I want to hear what I want and not what Alexa wants or finds on Amazon. I'm a big fan and loyal customer of Amazon but, for me, this falls way short of expectations.

  39. Michael ce-avatar

I have been a Prime member for a number of years, but never used this app. Received a Galaxy tab A during this past holiday season. Much better speaker than any other the mobile devices I've had before. So I got around to giving it a try. Streaming music with this app is very enjoyable for me, and makes paying for Prime a little less of a hardship. The interface was little different than on the desktop but clearly layed out and easy enough to get to all of my music.

  40. Paul M-avatar

Sound quality is excellent. However the android user interface needs a lot of work. Albums are displayed by popularity and there's no way to sort this by using a filter to display by album date, date added etc. Same thing with playlists, a filter is needed. I guess it's still early days and hopefully these issues will be fixed soon. I migrated across from Spotify due to the lack of high res streaming options and the library cap of 10k songs compared to 100k on Amazon Music.

  41. Susan Dykeman-avatar

What has happened! Music continually plays on it's own accord when I'm not even in the app. Very annoying especially when I'm in work & a manager walks past asking " where is the music coming from" I remove songs from playlist but they still play even though they're not in one. Trying to add a song to a playlist is almost impossible. Not happy as I had no previous problems!

  42. Keenan Webb-avatar

The interface is nearly worthless if you don't care about their stations and channels and just want to play the music that you've purchased and actually have the ability to move things from your sd card to phone storage. Some of us don't care about streaming, and this app is horrible for us.

  43. Eglė Kat-avatar

A lot of functionality is superficial and not functional. For example, when searching pressing on recent searches doesn't do anything, so what's the point. The 'radio' is simply a playlist that always plays the exact same songs as well. I do like the lyric feature

  44. Kyle Pierson-avatar

The stations seem very limited and always play the same 20 songs. Also, and this is a deal breaker for me, there is no Start Radio Station based on a song. Music is very important to me, and I know google play music/youtube music will be hard to top but I thought I would give amazon a chance.... it's not even close

  45. John Byrne-avatar

This app is remarkably poor, given how huge Amazon is and how many developers they can afford. I pay for prime, yet this app CONSTANTLY asks me to upgrade to Unlimited. Just their intrusive ads make me consider paying for Spotify It is woefully bad. It hangs every time I use it. I end up staring at a loading screen while it tries to find music that I HAVE DOWNLOADED. The tracks are on my phone, yet this piece of cheap software takes minutes to find them. It is rubbish.

  46. Keith Harris-avatar

The app works fine on my devices. Small reset issues if phone datat is at capacity. 1 minor bug, when you add new songs to an already existing playlist you have you can't play the song immediately after you add it, directly from the playlist that is. You have to play it under the artist or album then switch back to the playlist and play it. Other than that, this app is clean. Only thing they can add is more music.

  47. Manoj Kumar-avatar

I am not able to add music to my playlist which I have created(has about 180 songs). It shows the song is already added to the playlist but the song is not in the playlist and which is frustrating. Also it shows duplicate playlist while adding the song. Not a good experience to maintain the playlist.

  48. Ashley Dodson-avatar

I would be completely lost without this app. I LOVE music! I can't function without it. Haha! Even my 1 year old daughter loves it! This app offers a HUGE selection of music!! I've been able to find EVERYTHING I've searched for and more!! I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND BTHIS APP TO ANYONE WHO LOVES MUSIC!! And it's kid friendly! ❤️

  49. CAC Vidz-avatar

Despite an update this app has got worse with the problems greatly outweighing the positives. I cant give zero stars but I would if allowed. If I have my phone in my pocket the app hangs and stalls continually. Someone sort this out as it is not practical to walk with my arm outstretched holding my phone just so I can enjoy some music. The app is very simple to use and looks great but at the moment is totally unreliable and I'm sick of seeing the frowning "technical issues" little cloud guy.

  50. Joseph-avatar

Once music album is downloaded, works well. If not downloaded, album cuts in and out as service moves from cell tower to cell tower. Thus may be typical of all music applications though. This is beyond my area of certain knowledge. The app. Does pair well through blue tooth technology to my Sony boom box style stereos and my newer vehicle hands free system.

  51. laura stamp-avatar

When I try to add a new song to a playlist it doesn't appear but says it's there, it doesn't play the song I click on to play, and when I take it off shuffle it still plays shuffle and then will repeat the same song a few times, have to keep uninstalling and re installing to get it to work, works ok on my partner's phone but not mine :(

  52. Mind Fracked-avatar

I pay for Prime, Audible, Kindle Unlimited, and I can't listen to download music offline!!! They had me delete, sign out, reinstall, and jump around on one foot! I'm about ready to cancel anything Amazon. Use to be a great company. Sorely disappointed, happens to every business out there eventually. They use customer service for a buzzword, and completely forget what it even is.

  53. Cade Carter-avatar

The HD is amazing! Outside of that, this is a terrible app experience. Key features missing: 1 - no ability to create a station based on a specific song 2 - adding individual songs to a playlist is glitching, I have to add it to my music first 3 - I've had a horrible time trying to add my wife as a family plan user 4 - I don't want my family using my music account as the home Alexa account... Accounts in general are rough to say the least. Love the HD music though. Quality is unreal!

  54. Mike McKee-avatar

It works fine but it is not consistent with echo devices. Songs that are available with echo devices are often not available in this app, which is disheartening. Also, there are many glitches and bugs they really need to work out, especially integrating with android auto, a staple in the modern drivers world.

  55. Richard Owen-avatar

I like to download the music and listen offline to save my internet as I don't have much to use.the music choice is good the quality is good but it just stops or I can't view offline music I have to keep refreshing and cleareing cash going back online and then off so I can keep listening to my downloaded music.please fix PS I have just had a new phone this happened on last phone as not the phone.

  56. Atish Biswas-avatar

Fluent app design will nice collection of songs. My device is pretty old, so most of the music apps gets stuck. But this app works like charm. Any song i searched for, i found it here, so i like the collection. In other streaming service available in india, i couldn't find few songs.

  57. James Skaggs-avatar

I love the fact that it's the cheapest service for music but could be better. For example the app does not work too well with android auto like the album is completely wrong but shows the right info. I wish you could "like" a song or thumbs up it and put it into a playlist automatically. Overall good though!

  58. James Van Steelandt-avatar

Galaxy S9 phone. App would be better if they would get it to mix the music better. I have over 12k songs on my phone and I keep getting the same songs over and over from 1 session to the next. Also it would be a better app if they left it alone once it does work, but they have to keep fixing what isn't broken.

I have been using it for almost three months as a free trial and I still miss Spotify. It's not intuitive enough and the playlists are very poor. It's always difficult to find exactly what you want because the search engine is kind of limited. It's also oriented towards commercial music and it's not helpful at all if you want to discover new artists

  60. Angela Kelly-avatar

Positives: somgs you've purchased on Amazon are quickly accessible, playlists are easy to create, & some "stations" available similar to Spotify Negatives: lot of problems downloading songs for offline use even after purchasing them (whole point of getting the app was to make that easy), songs added with Prime disappear without warning, & app always opens with ad for their "unlimited" music service

  61. Pablo Ramirez-avatar

Amazon music is fantastic!! The audio quality with the HD subscription is amazing! I had apple for years but switched when I found out Amazon had hi resolution audio. The sound is so much more cleaner & crisp. The way the artist intended. I like the user interface better than Apple as well. There are a couple things that could be better. Sometimes the app glitches when connected to Android auto or Apple. It would also be nice if you can separate the accounts play list on the family account.

  62. Yoyin Alake-avatar

Its hard to buy a single tune. Most of the rime you cant get it to download to your device so it doesnt play off line. They are always trying to get you to subscribe to a streaming service with pre selected songs. That is soooo annoying. I want the songs I want. Not some playlist Amazon thought would be a good. idea.

  63. Ben Marsh-avatar

Seriously needs to be updated and fixed. When I try and add songs to playlists, half the time it says the song is already in the playlist when it is not. The only way I've found to fix this is to close all my apps and restart my phone. Making playlists is the most frustrating experience with this app.

  64. Ariel Guerrero-avatar

You know the whole point for the download option is to play music when you're offline like in a plane or cruise, but still requires network connection to play downloads!? I wanted to play my DOWNLOADED music on a cruise one time and it said to connect to the internet to play my DOWNLOADED music. So please guys dont download any music it's just a waste of space

  65. Gavala Chad-avatar

Irritating! I've set it to only download over WiFi which then generates a pop up EVERY time you open the app asking you to allow downloads over your mobile network. Why????? If you give the option for me to only download over WiFi leave me be!!! Talking with my partner about switching to Spotify instead. Sort it out Amazon!!!!

  66. Rob Dwyer-avatar

Quality cannot be beat. Does not have all albums I want so unfortunately I cannot use it as a replacement for CDs. It would be nice to be able to create a station off of your playlist. That would allow you to put all your favorite songs into a playlist, and then discover new music that extrapolates off of your playlist. Also, it would be better if you could select all your favorite albums and have it under a Tab for "my albums." You cannot simply browse a catalog of all of your favorite albums

  67. Sheryl Andrews-avatar

Amazon music is pretty easy to use. I was greatly disappointed to find many of the songs i like to listen to were not available, so i stopped subscribing. If the selection of available music had been more to my taste, i wiuld have definitely given it a top score.

  68. Tyler Starke-avatar

it's alright. i still want a better music service overall, the Alexa integration is nice but needs improvement. overall it's a great app since my music is through Amazon. Updated: 3-14-2020 This application is becoming garbage. I can't even search my music anymore? Randomly songs I've added to my music are no longer available? Starting to question my subscription.

  69. Big Gibbi-avatar

Wow big upgrades with updates. The app actually loads now. I was thinking of giving up and moving to spotify, but the new update cemented my support. Also, it would be nice to see some new playlists strictly for genres such as death or doom metal. Right now it's just an amalgamation of random heavy metal bands, and could be improved.

  70. SUNNY SAMANTARA-avatar

The search & suggestion algorithm very bad. It can't determine the song by it's lyrics, it's a premium app it must do better but YouTube music & spotify do it better, This apps are free and doing job better & when I clear the cache all the download music got corrupted. And why it always wants microphone permission.

Amazon Music is GREAT. I USE this App so much more than I did with PowerAmp Pro(a non-streaming MP3/4 player). Which I paid for, probably 5yrs ago. I paid $4.99, & had2 provide own media files(... But with Amazon Music Unlimited(@$11.99/mth. +3mths free Trial) the content is limitless. Variety is Gargantuan. Kicking myself, for not streaming 5yrs ago. 💪🏾PJH[-O-]✊🏾

  72. Joshua Reed-avatar

Interface could be so much better. Pain in the ass to switch between my music and the store, touch one song and it queues the entire album, dots on the right of listed tracks are so far to the side that you try to hit the dots to do play next and you inevitably end up hitting the track itself which starts playing and interrupting he current song. Love Amazon music, just this app needs a human interface consultant

  73. Erik Stoetzel-avatar

I like how fast you can find songs, but it's lacking in sound quality. No sound equalizing really sucks in music apps, some of us really like better sound not just 55 million songs .. especially Amazon. Variety and quality sound even HD would be perfect. You need to improve the sound quality. I have the older TTPOD music app from yrs ago and it has much better quality sound.

  74. Stuart Brown-avatar

I dislike strongly apps that instruct you to give them five stars in the app store. Rather then trying to give self-serving embedded commands, focus on improving it. Honestly, it's ok. But no great shakes. Bugs you to 'upgrade', and only has a very limited choice of songs on the normal prime membership.

  75. Tamara Singham-avatar

Not a fan of the home page. Interface is too complex. All I want to see is myuaic when i open it up. Too much happening on the screen. It frequently disconnects when I'm trying to control the music off my phone but play through an echo.

  76. Jon Venner-avatar

What a great app. Works faultlessly and is absolutely part of my life. I'd still rather be in a record store listening booth on a Saturday morning wondering which double album or picture disc to blow my apprentices pay packet on but hey, that was then and this is now.

  77. Ryan Oler-avatar

Good music app. The advertisement to upgrade to ulimited is redicoulus. Also the transfer from clound to device does not sync well in instances. Remote downloading for play offline is not clear when preparing for a trip or something. All in all it plays music good. Thank you.

  78. Zachary Pratt-avatar

Pretty good but I keep finding songs that a mismatched from the artist. What I mean is I will play a song and a track that is not by the artist will play and no one seems to care and there no real way to report this. also Spotify seems to have more albums from artist than Amazon does

  79. Belo Belo-avatar

I was a Spotify fan until I tried Tidal. My music sounded completely different. It sounded so much better. Tidal is pretty pricey so, since I am an Amazon member, I decided to try their HD Music Service. They had all my favorite bands & it sounded great. I get a discount for being a member so it is worth it. I am loving it. Keep in mind the HD music files are significantly larger & therefore use more data & storage.

Editing playlists isnt working!! This is the 4th time ive had to uninstall and reinstall this app to get it to update the changes ive made to my playlists! I give it DAYS to do it itself, but nothing changes! You are going to drive people away if you cant get even this little, simple thing right!

  81. MW H-avatar

Playlists seem to desync and cause you to lose the latest songs you've put into them days after you've updated the playlist. It'll realise this later, and duplicate your playlists instead of fix it Songs that aren't downloaded and need to be streamed seem to take excessively long to load and buffer compared to Spotify. You can also search for a station based on any song in the web version, but the app version will tell you you're not connected to the internet except for artists/album stations

  82. Brian Putney-avatar

Horrible garbage app. Add to playlist never works. No Multiple click add options. ( simple add recent played to a created playlist is near impossible.) Voice add never "finds playlist" Download songs? Or add to cloud? Simply want a song added to stream playlist. paid stream service cant get a simple concept. No Click and drag for phone app. lags horribly. Voice command response never even close to voice requested. And forced to download this app to even see "playlist" in alexa app. Shameful

  83. Brian McDowell-avatar

This app is God awful at best. Algorithms need to have their arrays adjusted cuz music you dislike keeps playing. Music you do like will play at least 6 times before a different some comes on. Asking someone to pay for this particular service is a laughable concept considering all the other services that get something as simple as not playing music you dislike repeatedly. If I didn't already have prime I wouldn't even bother. Don't waste your money on this service. It's robbery.

  84. André Fuentes-avatar

I've been pleasantly surprised!! I have had Google play for since the first started operating. And I signed up with this Amazon music just recently so I can keep all my accounts together to consolidate my bills. So far I have been impressed.

  85. Justin Tucker-avatar

My only complaint is now, that music "can" have better quality, if you go with normal streaming and opt out of hi-def there is a terrible difference. Meaning it's obvious the lower quality music has been brought down in quality considerably to keep you from switching.

I LOVE this app compared to Spotify and Pandora. It is a lot faster with downloads and super easy to add songs to a playlist and once the song is downloaded it can be played without using data, can't do that with Spotify or Pandora. I will never use another music app.

  87. TL S-avatar

I enjoy the section of music but does not follow artists I liked. Why ask me what I like then give me Lady GaGa who does not fall into any of the categories chosen. Also the playlist duplicates songs. I may have 10-15 actual sings but it lists it as a new song each time it plays so now my list as of now says I have 106 songs and I cannot delete them.

I hate having to redownload songs after updates. And for some reason I have to do each song one at a time. You say you have an option to download all queued songs at once but I don't see it. And it's annoying as hell to scroll down redownloading every song that's be corrupted after an update.

  89. Gail Greene-avatar

NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!!! songs and playlists self-delete and come back for a very brief time. I did the troubleshooting and STILL the same problem. I'm an extreme music lover and I'm super tired of missing songs or redoing playlists. FRUSTRATED!!!!

It's almost great. 1. Using Android auto it's buggy, it won't restart on the song played before being connected to car. 2. The app won't start from a car screen. You have to reach to phone and restart the app. Safety hazard. 3. Won't fire up from the widget on the screen of the phone. Have to start it with icon. 4. Adding songs offline to a playlist create another empty playlist which needs to be deleted manually. 5. The app does not necessary fetch album art from offline. This app needs work.

Average I switched from Pandora to Amazon music due to purchasing an echo Dot. From my understanding the only way to play an entire album from a specific person through the echo Dot is by paying for an Amazon music subscription. So far it isn't terrible but I've been using this app for about 3 months and still miss Pandora sometimes. Maybe I was just so accustomed to Pandora...... I even held off on writing a review so I could use the app more. I'm gonna give it a few months and fo from there

  92. Paul B-avatar

Do NOT be fooled. Amazon does not let 24bit (UHD) work with Google Chromecast (Audio) - only 16 bit allowed - even though the Chromecast (Audio) does 24bit. This is what I imagine most people need to do, to get it into your hi-fi to enjoy the finest 24bit quality. Allow this to work Amazon and I'll subscribe 😔

  93. Sreeyansa Rout-avatar

It just stops music even if I'm not using any other other app. It just suddenly stops the song. Then I close the app and open the app again . But either the app opens or the app just freezes until I close and open it for the 3rd or 4th time. Very fustrating. Worst music app ever.

  94. Janice Stein-avatar

I started using this with Alexa. Then I thought I could download the app on my phone. Which I could. And I am not disappointed. 😁 I can blackout my screen and utilize other apps and functions while the music plays. Very pleased.

When playing my comedy in my car, if I have to get out I pause it, do my errand, and when I get back it doesn't pick up at the pause but goes back to the beginning? Makes no sense, especially if its a long bit. Kind of annoying

  96. Ben Chevalier-avatar

So many missing features. Can't start your own radio based on the song you're listening to. Can't thumbs up songs while they play. Can't delete albums from your playlist. Just so bad compared to other offerings out there.

  97. Mr B-avatar

Loved this until recently. Now, for some reason it can only see new purchases if I uninstall and reinstall the app! Then downloading the music takes a veeeeerrrryyyyy long time. The problem started about 10 days ago and still persists. Will use another provider for a while.

  98. Analisa Torres-avatar

App is trash. Takes too long to load music over wifi or data. Once it starts playing, it plays about 20 seconds of a song before it buffers. Can't run multiple apps or it buffers every minute and a half or so. Not worth the subscription cost.

  99. Jesse Johnson-avatar

I use to use SoundCloud and Pandora before I became a Amazon prime member. When I discovered Amazon music I deleted my SoundCloud and Pandora accounts and have never used either one of those platforms ever again. Prime music alongside of Prime video are just better for me I use prime for pretty much everything now.

  100. Julie Clergé-avatar

A lot of the songs I've been trying to play in the past two day is not playing and I get the notification that the songs are no longer available... I cant tell if this is an error or Amazon Music doesn't have the licensing to play these songs. It's frustrating.
