It took about 15 hours after I liked my preferred music for it to register in "My Soundtrack." Before then, it was playing pop hits, which was annoying. It's sometimes a little buggy when running in the background. But it's great value for a music streaming app, and I have been enjoying it after the first 15 hours. I also like the lyrics feature. It would be cool if they brought that to more songs!

The app is super glitchy... So many times I add a song to my playlist only to see that it's not actually there, which is a pain to resolve. Also, songs in my library constantly keep becoming "unavailable", despite the fact that it's still part of Amazon's database, but I get no notification whatsoever. Strongly considering getting a different music service that knows how to function properly.

Still can't download music after a year. Ridiculous. Music freezes at 20 seconds into the song on every song and I have to skip a couple seconds manually to get it to play again. Some albums will not load and therefore I can't listen to them at all. Some albums (that I don't have added) show there are less songs than there really are and I don't get to listen to the full album. I can not wait to switch to another service. Amazon is garbage and gave up on the quality of their products years ago.

I've been using spotify free with Shazam, love that app duo. I also have Amazon prime, I thought well why am I not using it? I'm paying for it right. Shazam can't send music to it. It needs Apple ID, I have it, I don't want to use it. Just a huge pain to try to set up. Not interested in wasting time, I would rather waste the money. Searched for a couple songs and didn't find them. I'm disappointed I like having all my services in one spot

Terrible. It literally will pause, change songs, tell me I'm on the wrong profile when I'm not. We PAY for the family plan. Its so bad we are canceling it and going to spotify. Once you think the problem is gone it'll continue three times as much. Save your money or go to spotify. They don't have this issue. I don't do subscriptions and for this to continually be a problem. I'm over it.

    1. Amazon music is my primary library. 2. I used this all the time on the iPhone. 3. I recently switched to Android. 4. The Android version of this app is much worse than the iPhone version. This is slow and the UI is less intuitive. Sometimes I have to touch the download button for an album many many times before it begins or recognizes my action. Dear Amazon, please improve this. Signed, longtime Amazon music fan.

I love the Amazon Music App and the selection; I am usually very happy with the mixture of music it creates for me. I enjoy my ad free, skip all I want, on demand music. I guess I'm just not an Alexa pro yet, or Alexa is stupid. It's an AI so I don't feel badly for name calling in this instance. She has a hard time finding my spoken playlists. I also have Sirius with Pandora and Spotify but I have not been able to integrate them with Alex. Overall, I am happy with Amazon Music.

Critical bug: Random albums are often missing most tracks in the track listing. For instance, when playing all songs from the Artist page, bringing up the playlist, and then selecting "Go to album" (for the track that is currently playing) shows the problem in these problem cases. Since displaying the track list from an album is the only way to see the track ratings, it's really annoying when tracks are missing. This problem doesn't happen with the desktop and web apps.

Like the application for listening to music and the price is reasonable for different people and their various number of users and devices. I like the fact that you are able to switch to online and offline only so I can control data usage. YouTube Music is what I was using but it was easy to use a lot of data if you don't keep an eye on it. The difference between video's and audio is a big save alone. Also I think it's easier to switch to different profiles for my whole family.

It makes me happy when I tell Alexa to play Charles Mingus or Muddy Waters, Jimi Hendrix, etc. because she sounds like Tina Fey to me, that makes me very happy. The only time that the streaming sucks when I try to play the highest fi when I'm in an area that doesn't have good service. Being a prime member makes things that much easier. Somehow I feel like Skynet is taking over, though.

I have to be honest, it is a great app. But when I try to listen to music offline after I've very clearly downloaded it, sometimes it will say my music has expired. What does that even mean??? I should still be able to listen to music because it was just working. Please fix this!!! I don't want to sit in awkward with a bunch of strangers for an hour for just a bus ride.

Wanted to listen to all time low by monster. Found I couldn't listen to it or buy it. Found I could only subscribe to a monthly payment OR acquire with a third party and add to my Amazon music library manually. Amazon, as long as this is a thing I won't be buying any songs from you. You're not even going to get the money i would have paid for All Time Low because you wanted to sucker me into a monthly subscription. I get the potential value for some customers. Just not for me.

Just started using it yesterday and so far so good. The voice activated requests are pretty cool, save alot of time over typing with sausage fingers. Previously, used Spotify and it seemed like more and more artists were blocked. Probably 8 out of 10 that I tried last night. I'm giving Prime music a test run, liking it so far! Also not cutting out in my truck, older model, no Bluetooth.

I have previously had a great experience with this app but now it's not letting me in. It says there is a "user error" and crashes before I can hit any buttons to do anything about it. This is the last virtual music store I have left! Youtube music only lets you listen to things but not sample them because you can't buy music on it. And people are saying it's bad for playing offline music. And Amazon actually lets you close the app.

  15. Austin Massey-avatar

I listen to music on this app every day. I like being able to pull up almost any artist or song I can think of and add it to my library. The app works most of the time, but maybe once a week it will freeze or act sluggish. This is more often than other streaming apps that I use. I do not like the way the navigation seems to like to drive you towards the store when you want to look at your own library.

  16. Robert Hardy-avatar

App comes with prime but is very painful. Won't stop asking about unlimited. Hate it. It kept using all mobile data when playing offline songs. Amazon dropped my favourite songs . Very poor handling of offline playback. Even when playing offline songs it seems to resume playback as an online song. This consumes huge amounts of data. If you disable mobile data then it just stops playing with weird exceptions instead of playing the offline songs. I can't figure out how to buy individual songs.

  17. Shelby Mansfield-avatar

I've never even written an app review before, but.... This app needs some serious glitch clean up! I've had a Pixel for over a year and used other streaming services, but nothing compares to the poor quality of technology that comes with this app. I HATE IT. The only reason I haven't deleted this app is because the service itself I like the most out of all the other music streaming services.

I've been using amazon music for years now. I've never had any problem with it all this time. But for the past couple of weeks it's been awful. Offline music won't play for 5 mins without being a headache. It would play for a few seconds and would stop and keep loading forever. It expires every day (sometimes even in a couple of hours) and I have to keep refreshing it till it loads again first thing in the morning. It's really frustrating now. Moving on to spotify...

I use different music apps on same device, same location, same wifi. This is the only one that keeps on cutting off. THIS APP IS NOT TO AMAZON STANDARDS THAT WE ARE USED TOO. EMBARRASSINGLY BAD. The interface is a mess. If Amazon's website was as messy as this music app I'm highly doubtful it would be popular. The selection is good though but that doesn't say anything about the developers. With this experience I wouldn't be getting the upgraded version.

  20. Hernan Salgado-avatar

I've all my music in Apple Music & it's not the greatest for Android for "obvious reasons" and was hoping Amazon music would be. It is mediocre and most of the time when I am playing music it stops the track to "load" or after the song is done playing I have to manually force in the next track. I've only had it for a few days and I am under a trial promotion, however I think I am going to cancel

Never can sync my Amazon music between my phone app and desktop app. Have to recreate all my playlists and sometimes redownload or repurchase songs to have them on both. Frustrating. Other than that, I like it. UPDATE: Whatever new, update was done wiped out most of my downloaded music, which I can't get back because it's been moved to Prime Unlimited to force people to pay more. All of my playlists got jacked up. NOW, this app won't even open for me. Uninstalling will wipe all my music.

  22. Pandora Maximov-avatar

    Pandora Maximov

Fantastic music selection, all the songs I could ever want. My problems: When creating playlists, you need to close the app down first, to play the songs in the order you want, otherwise it just plays whatever it wants, and I no order you have created. My other issue of late is that when I try to play my music offline, it says my music library has expired, and that I have to go ONLINE to refresh my music. Every. Single. Time. This is why it is an OFFLINE playlist. So that I can play it OFFLINE.

  23. Angel Gutierrez-avatar

    Angel Gutierrez

Very basic features, feels like I have to use workarounds for things that should be built-in functions. For example, why is there no download all music function? You have to make a playlist and put in all your music into it one by one and then download the playlist, or download each song individually. Such a pain for what should be a basic function. Also, the recently added list and others like recently downloaded on the landing page never work. I click on them and they are just blank.

  24. Derek Shaffer-avatar

    Derek Shaffer

I like this service. They've got a pretty decent library that was effectively a sunk cost for us since we're already Amazon Prime customers. So given that is effectively free, I find it provides a better experience than Spotify's free service. Unfortunately though, now some of the music is only available through the upmarket offering, "Music Unlimited", so if I'm going to consider paying extra for either one I'll have to re-compare the premium offerings.

  25. Kyle L-avatar

    Kyle L

I like it but it has flaws. The latest update made the auto play feature not work any longer even though it is selected on. And on lots of artists, when you browse all songs from an artist, for example you'll see they have 70 songs available. But when you hit play, your playlist is now only 20 songs, and this happens quite often. But it is easy to make and save playlists, stream it to your alexa device etc..

Worked fine for a long time. Then over the past month it seems to continuously have connection issues. Will be playing a song and then it just stops mid way through and never finishes buffering. Sometimes the app just flat out crashes. I tried everything I could think of to fix the situation. reinstalled and it seemed like that was the solution, till yesterday. Now it continues to do what was previously mentioned. Will start looking into other services if issue continues. Waste of money so far.

  27. Tom Prosser-avatar

It was going great until yesterday. I recently bought a couple of albums from Amazon and based on those the "my soundtrack" feature came up with a whole load of songs in the same genre, that I'd never heard but I liked. That was great, better than Spotify in fact. But yesterday for some reason it stopped playing those and now plays a load of mainstream pop that I hate. Even if I hit the thumbs down on each song it doesn't get the message. Why has it done this?

I use this app pretty much all day, every day. Every so often the app will crash for no reason. Today it will only play a few seconds of every song & then switch to the next song. I am connected to the internet, I clear the cache constantly, refresh my music, force stop the app & restart my phone & it's still giving me issues. I refuse to pay for something that I can't use. I see from the comments, that I'm not the only one. Please fix your issues.

  29. Alex Farley-avatar

Very glitchy, slow app. Will occasionally tell me I need an Internet connection for music already downloaded to my SD card. Sometimes takes 30 seconds to a minute just to load. Often puts songs out of order in album playlists. Doesn't always pick up playing music where I left off. Can't say I recommend but hey you do get a limited subscription to songs at no extra cost w/an Amazon Prime membership.

App keeps crashing. Songs will play for 20s and then will stop. Had to restart app every time and then it will work. Protcast will stop playing every 8/10mins with "playback failed" popping up. Takes forever to edit playlists. Remove the song from it and ut will appear back next min. Really annoying as I pay £10 for this. Thinking of switching to different apps.

( 1) Please update your music player design and have a look to others, they are updating their player to look more beautiful and creative but you guys still using an old Design player. ( 2 ) Instagram story share is not available. And talking about this we are paying a huge amount & if the company don't give this kind of useful & famous option, so this is really bad.

  32. E. Martino-avatar

    E. Martino

Hard to find whole albums, many of the songs are "cover " performances. Advertises over 2 million songs, but, does not share that many are not the original artist. There are songs of original artist, but, the truth is that they are only available if you pay a monthly subscription fee. This is written in the tiniest print. If you accidentally select one, you are automatically billed. Very disappointing. App is very difficult to use.

  33. Sam A.-avatar

Used to be good. UI is now basically adware for Unlimited. Songs will be randomly removed from your library because - oops! You'll have to pay an extra $8/mo to listen to it now! Or, because the version on a different album is now the "real" song. You'll just have to redownload! Furthermore, when a playlist encounters one of your removed songs, instead of skipping it, the whole app stops. Downloads frequently glitch since last update requiring the app to be restarted. Spotify, anyone?

  34. Rogelio Altez-avatar

    Rogelio Altez

Mediocre, the sound quality is really good but that's the only good thing I can say about it... The interface is not user friendly. When streaming the music jumps from time to time, like a broken record skipping seconds. You can't add to the queue when streaming, sometimes it just desynchronizes and the phone won't control the music on my echo or Alexa enabled soundbar... Support sucks and knows nothing. If it wasn't because Spotify doesn't work well with my echo, I wouldn't use Amazon Music.

  35. Chris Mac-avatar

My favourite albums are suddenly disappearing. Used to be really impressed with this app, but now it seems like my favourite albums are being pulled on pretty much a monthly basis. I could deal with that when it was just one or two albums, but now it's getting ridiculous. Every time I switch to the free version of Spotify.. guess what...there it is! But not available on Amazon Music. I've cancelled and switched back to Spotify. Really terrible these days to be honest. Not impressed at all.

  36. Feliz Joy-avatar

Every since I updated the app a month or two ago, the thing hudt stops playing. Wish I never updated. It is not my internet connection. When this stops playing, I switch to YouTube to play music and there are no issues with YouTube. Amazon, please fix your app. I never had these problems before the update. I paid for most of the music I listen to on your app and I am seriously considering not buying any more of your MP3s.

  37. Nathan Moore-avatar

Big selection of music. Lots of playlist options. Good price. 3 or 4 months ago would have given 5 stars. Now app is a hassle to use. Despite solid wi fi connection, plenty of space on the phone, and trying all the suggestions from help forum, app is still sluggish and misbehaves. Trying to accomplish any kind of editing on a playlist is incredibly frustrating and time-consuming. Even trying to get the music to play can be a hassle. Sometimes in the middle of a song, music stops andappshutsoff.

  38. Joel Pearman-avatar

It doesn't work with android 12. My purchased music is never shown in offline music now, and it just stops playing for a second about every 10 seconds when the screen is off. It's always been way behind on basic features like putting together playlists, and the app itself is a mess, but it always worked before.

  39. Adam.J. Music-avatar

I Can't say I use this app more than my Spotify...that would be a big fat lie. Maybe its bcos they got here 1st? I find it annoying how every song has to be selected individually for it to be 'searched' not giving me a 'good artist jukebox selection' like my other app does, for this reason I've failed to connect with it... Maybe I'll try again or just delete it, altogether.

  40. Wayne Coltrane-avatar

Searching for new and saved music is difficult. App is extremely hard to use compared to other online music services. There's a slight improvement in sound quality on some selections but not enough to put up with the poor functionality. Will probably cancel at the end of the trial. I've stayed with this service for almost a year hoping it would improve. However, recent updates to the Android App removed the ability to sort my library by genres. Customer service is a disaster. AVOID THIS APP!

Amazon Unlimited Music has come a long way since it first started...any song I can think of and" Bam...there it is!"...only prob guys is that oft times the lyrics aren't always in sync with the song ...and I wish that every song had available accompanying lyric feed..also more of a musical genre offered in your 3D selection....but overall I am extremely impressed....and the App keeps getting better and smarter....5 🌟hey do you think you might have visualations like on a music media app🌌🌃

Song titles and album art sometimes don't match-up with what is playing in the queue, have to clear the queue and re-add just to know what will be playing. If I try and buy an album through the app, 99% of the time I get an error along the lines of "something wrong on our end"; so the purchase option is useless in the mobile app, the artist and the user both lose-out. Honestly, Xbox Music was better than this trash. You can do better, Amazon.

  43. Samantha Hill-avatar

I use the free version, and its its not worth it. It won't play several of the songs and after about 20 sec of any song it is buffering, for lack of better description. This just started recently so maybe its an update issue, but I can get other streaming services to work where this doesn't so I am almost positive it isn't my service. I spend a lot of money at Amazon and just not gonna pay an extra 8 a month for this full service. I had good luck before this last update though.

  44. James Anderson-avatar

The Amazon music service, in general, feels like something being discontinued or, at best, a bait-and-switch tactic to sell subscribers on the Unlimited service. It is extremely difficult to get to on the desktop and, desktop or mobile, the music I want is usually available only on Unlimited. It is free with the Prime membership, but adds very little value.

  45. Rebekah Stanley-avatar

What a mess. The app doesn't store half of what you download to use in offline mode. You have to make playlists three different ways to get just one of them to show up. Everything seems to be a jumbled mess in the past few months. Nothing is where you used to be able to find it in your song history etc. Not sure what Amazon changed, but not a fan, it's a totally unfriendly user experience now.

  46. Lee Bunczk-avatar

Pros: easy to find and add. Cons: Not all songs even old ones on app. They withhold certain songs/ albums to get you to pay more money for music unlimited to get them. No other option like a one time purchase for a album or song. Sucks. And if you don't keep the subscription for unlimited, you lose all music.

  47. Casey P-avatar

This app reminds you of a virus or pop up. If I close something on my phone I expect it to stay closed. NOT open back up whenever it feels like it. I can be streaming on my Netflx with my earbuds and all of a sudden there is the last thing I was listening to. I shouldn't have to go find the kill button in my settings. Their customer service suggestions were to pause my music, didn't work. Turn my Bluetooth off. I use my phone for more than music Amazon.

  48. Phillip Mitchell-avatar

    Phillip Mitchell

They really need to go back to the drawing board on this app. If you use the app to play music through your echo dots the music will sometimes mysteriously stop playing after a few songs, especially if playing an album. Or it will stop playing the album, and then start playing some other random stream. And then there are times you find the album you want, hit play, and the app will decide to play an entirely different album.

  49. Daniel G-avatar

Cons: Sound quality is noticeably not as good as Spotify when streaming, even over a fast WiFi connection. Often disconnects from an Amazon Echo when casting. Pros: You can download any song without having to add it to a playlist, like in Spotify. Also, it shows all the artists that you have songs from under Artists, unlike Spotify, where you have to "follow" the artists for them to show up. I love my Echos so I keep trying to use this app, but honestly Spotify works better.

Every year I renew my membership to Amazon music. I feel trapped and committed to this service. No more. This slow glitchy app that constantly takes forever to load a song is the worst. Once it starts playing a song it's okay, but if it takes ten minutes to start playing on my fifteen minutes car ride, it is useless to me. Not to mention the many times I almost get into an accident because I'm messing with this stupid app just trying to get it to play something. I can't wait to switch.

4 stars only because of it crashing when trying to listen to music and searching/adding songs to my music & Alexa popping up at times for no reason interrupting the music . Other than that it's the most used app on my phone. With music being one of my passions in life as one who plays & listens, music has never sounded better to my ears even SD songs sound better than ever & HD/UHD is absolutely amazing with a growing number of 3D too. Another complaint is pulling top albums from their catalogue

Would've not given this pitiful excuse for a music platform any stars. Absolutely fallacious. Music never plays. My playlist sits there. Can't listen to it. Fix this application immediately. Not professional at all.

I would give less stars if possible. Search suggestions are not great at loading up and often not the artist you've searched for. Also, my favourite artist is listed under the wrong name and has random tracks assigned that aren't recorded by them? They clearly dont care and now I cant even download as an unlimited customer. I pay the max per month. Always an error. I was told by support to uninstall and lost all my playlists and cant redownload. It's a joke if an app

Longtime app user here. Within the last month, this app's performance has gotten much worse. Downloaded songs play fine one minute when I'm offline. Next minute, they're all gray, for no apparent reason. Error message tells me random things, like I need to refresh my music (nope, just did that), that the song is no longer in the catalogue (nope, I can see it plain as day), or that my subscription has expired (nope, wrong again). I'm out. Looking for a new app now.

My problem is consistent download for offline listening and cumbersome nature of making playlists. I need to download for my gym workouts and it is a slow and painful process. I have tried to find a better way on Google/YouTube nothing out there to help. I can pick songs and listen to whole albums online but I am not always Wi-Fi'd.

Was a decent music app until lately. Whenever I start up the app, it stops the first song at 30 seconds. Once you skip the song and go back, the app seems to run fine up until you close it. It does it every time and for $10 a month, you would think the app should run as smooth as possible. If this keeps up, I'll find another place to spend my money and listen to music.

Still unstable, requires frequent reconfigure. Unable to play more than 10 songs from a list. The songs played are randomly chosen by the app. Can not longer play the channels I listened to in previous version of app. Complaining to customer service is useless. They just tell you to clear your data or reinstall the app. This does not fix the problems with this app.

I don't understand how this app is so bad. Used to be pretty good, but not anymore. Incredibly low and clunky, it buffers on songs you have downloaded, to the point where it actually faster to stream songs than listen to downloaded songs. It deletes and dissappears songs you have purchased. It's gradually become unusable.

This app and desktop app are total garbage, plain and simple. The actual service is really great with a wide selection and good pricing. The biggest disappointment of this app is its lack of basic features. There is no way to sort search results, Amazon decided that 'most popular' was the only option you need. Even the most basic music players let you sort ALPHABETICALLY along with other actually useful criteria. The UI is not great and hitting the back button will sometimes just exit the app completely even though you're several layers deep. You have to manually hit the X or back arrow in the app's UI to actually go back to where you were before. Also, if you exit the app in this manner it just dumps you back to the home page when you relaunch so you have to search your way back to where you were before. Playlists and current queue are really buggy, they often play in reverse order so you have to manually drag everything back into the right order (assuming you even know what that order is because there's no sorting options). Stations are only as accurate as the decade of music you start it on, Duran Duran doesn't belong in a Bob Seger station (even though I do like both artists) and some of the suggestions are downright bizarre and jarring. Android Auto integration feels like it had about two weeks of work put into it and then released. You can't search, period. No pop up keyboard, no voice commands. If it's not in your recently listened, playlists, or purchased tracks you're SOL. Selecting a recently listened album will usually only return a handful of tracks from that album. There's no repeat function, only shuffle. Items don't show up in your recently listened list until days later, and that list is only a couple dozen items deep which barely covers half a day of listening. There are probably way more shortcomings and bugs but I haven't used it enough to find them and probably never will. If the price gap between Prime HD and Tidal weren't so large I'd have switched already, but I probably still will if things don't improve.

If I play one song 10 times, that will come 10 times in recently played list which is simply foolish, illogical and irritating when I play recently played songs list. It's just common sense that one song should appear once in recent songs list. Also, music stations created by Amazon are pathetic (I am talking about hindi song stations here). Who create those lists, hats off to that person. That person choose worst songs to create these stations.

This app worked really well on my old tablet, but not for my new Samsung tablet. I've downloaded my music onto my sd card but everyday the app tells me that some of my offline music is downloaded on an unavailable sd card. I like the library, so much music available. What I don't like is it's very annoying to set up and manage your own playlists, can't move the order of the songs around, if you want to remove a song from the list, it deletes the song from all of your Amazon music. It keeps saying songs not available in my list, but the songs are listed as available when you search. It's super frustrating when I get a new phone as none of my downloaded music transfers over, and I have to start all over again.

If the app would consistently work it would be great, but Amazon seems so intent on pushing the streaming side of its platform that for the last few weeks it's been impossible to buy music. I've used this app for years, and will continue to only because my music collection is in their cloud, but I'm constantly amazed that a company as big as Amazon cannot manage to put out a fully functional app.

It has a great range of music. I've had no troubles finding the songs, and albums that interest me. Though I have, on rare occasions, had the app shut down when I pause a song. I think Amazon Music is pretty great. It's pretty easy to navigate. You can download songs for offline use, the membership doesn't cost that much, and you get some cool song recommendations and a discovery playlist I think is cool. You also get your own personalized station that I find to be very intuitive when it picks new songs for me to listen to. One of my only complaints is when you're listening to a station/playlist you can't add songs when it's in list/playlist form.

Songs will randomly restart or skip to a different song altogether. I clear my cache everyday, multiple times, to no avail. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times as well and it's extremely annoying when a song will restart 5 times in 2 minutes. Didn't so this before the latest update. I tried playing offline only and it does the same thing, so Its not my internet or phone. If this continues,I will cancel my subscription and find a better music app.

A little buggy and the lay out isn't great for playlist. And it forces you to try to listen to music that it wants you to hear not what you do. But the auto play is descent once you have a library built up. As well it dose not have a lot of smaller producers that other music apps would.

This app works ok on my android device as long as I'm streaming online content. It gets very wonky in offline mode. App constantly crashes. It will completely freeze in the middle of the song. It takes forever to "think" when starting a song. Cannot believe that out of all of the music apps out there that Amazon (one of the biggest companies in the world) has one of the lousiest music apps and they want to charge people for it. Sound is good for the most part however sometimes the audio output level is too high causing distortion. Amazon... really??

There is currently no fix to undo any accidental thumbs down on songs. You either have to know the name of the song or like enough of the same artist's songs (if you know their name) and hope that eventually the algorithm brings up the song again. This is really frustrating, especially if it's on a new song that you want to hear more of. Please add a thumbs down list so we can undo mistakes like that!

Decent, it was my replacement after Google Music was in it's death throws. I miss some of the features Google Music had like starting when connected to bluetooth. I also miss the endless stations, a lot of the the "stations" are just play lists. The app is also a bit buggy when first staring, I try and use a widget to start playing the music, since it doesn't when I get in my car, and it's usually an exercise of futility. Amazon Music is a music streaming app where you can listen to music. You can make playlists, listen to stations, and it even gives you a suggested song list! I love this app, and if you download songs you can listen to them without intenet. the only flaw is that there is a bug that it completely stops my music in the middle of a song, and if you could fix that I'd appreciate it very much. 😁

i love Amazon prime music, the Google play app works well, not so much the native Amazon devices, since the last update it took a dive, gone is the on screen volume, forever synching, slow response. Why? updated, stop begging me for five stars, you're not getting it. I hate software that nags, and the armies of programers who's mere existence begs for useless updates only to keep them employed. Going back to Amazon music, the search engine sucks. Which I plan on unsubscribing after this. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because of the music selection. Other than that, not a good experience. I've been using this app for YEARS to purchase music. It's not very user friendly now. I don't care about podcasts, playlists, creating stations or unlimited listening. I just want to buy music. They make it very difficult to do that. Too many steps. The home screen is pointless after a recent change. It's not intuitive at all. For example, you've just added podcasts to the app but WHERE ARE THEY?? I can't use the search function as I don't know any podcasts, I just want to look through what is available! I can't filter playlists or new music by genre anymore either. I don't love the app design. Feels a little shoddy for the premium service. This isn't the end of the world and I feel like it's gonna inevitably improve eventually. Hoping for sooner than later or I'll just stick with Spotify. I can't say I love the little things like not being able to view an artist's albums by release date only by popularity...weird move. Yes sounds good, but with caveats. I have an android phone capable of 192khz playback but the app strangles playback to 48khz. Tried everything. Connected to an external DAC which acknowledges 192khz connection but the Amazon app still says device capability 48khz. There is no way on android or PC to pass bit perfect audio to a DAC. Both go through the operating mixers. On PC the exclusive mode does help but still not bit perfect. Amazon needs to sort this to keep its subs to HD/UHD service.

If you're on the fence between this and other music streaming services, I've used Apple, YT Music, and now this. This is the best to me, period. Apple would not work properly with my android device, (galaxy s9+). It was as if Apple didn't want to properly support android devices. Most music I like is not included without paying for the premium subscription which is ridiculously overpriced. The app is never accurate when it predicts what I might like. I've used this app a long time and with each update it gets worse. I don't like how the library screen is bars for artists, albums, etc. It worked much better at the top. If I want to listen to an album under the 'albums' bar, it never loads correctly and will only play the first song. The artists is a mess where one album will show as more than 2 albums. This app has devolved into mostly useless garbage over the last month or so. Most of the time it cannot make it through an entire song with either stopping/pausing randomly or flat-out crashing. The streaming library might be a good deal, but this app is both buggy and obnoxious. It very frequently, when asked to play an album, starts to do so but then just repeats the first song endlessly. If I then find the album again, and click on the second song on the album, it can play the whole album starting with that song. It also can't search reliably for albums I own or otherwise have already in "my library"; it finds unrelated music, or tries to sell me another copy. And it constantly bombards me with ads for a free or discounted "introductory offer" on an upgrade to the (falsely so called) Unlimited library, which turns into an upgrade at the regular price if I click it (executed if I click one more time without reading it carefully).

This app is great for making playlists and listening to basically any music you can think of on the spot. That said, there are tons of bugs. For example, if I click to add a song to my music by mistake and then try to add the song to a playlist, it will say the song is already in the playlist even though it's not. You've got enough money!!! This app is an utter and unmitigated disaster. If you download a song as an mp3, you cannot play that song in this app unless the original file is currently stored on the device's SD card. Who thought that was a good idea? If that is a feature rather than a bug, I have no use for this app. I can use the rinky-dink media player that comes preinstalled on the device. Good app but recently pausing intermittently, force stopping in the middle of a song, or not being able to move through the menus. However when working does the job. The negatives are that when downloading a album it doesn't download in album order which is annoying. Exceptional music, but I wish that it didn't add albums to the same list as individual songs when adding to my library. Then I have to wade through all of the albums selections before I get to a few songs I'd added from other artists and with my collection, it takes hours to wade through on the phone

Awesome catalog of all genres. Two things that kept me from giving 5 stars, since the recent updates it takes longer for everything to open. This occurred with my older phone and also with my newest phone. Second issue is I cannot delete songs that is no longer available or I have to do the three steps to remove every song. Amazon music is much better than others. Keep up the good work.

More music than you'll ever need and as a music lover of some 50+ years, I need more than most and tremendous value for money at £7.99pm. One word of warning though, unless you have compatible equipment, that is equipment that enables 24 bit sound streaming (usually only higher end sound systems), don't bother upgrading to Amazon Music HD as you won't notice any difference.

The downloaded songs get corrupted over and over and over and again and again, and there is no particular option for me delete them all together to download again, even the refresh option does not do any good work, for each single song I need to click it and then it will show it is corrupted and then it will download, the music app is just not what it is supposed to be.

I'm so so annoyed with this app. First of all, I can't find all of the songs that I want. But that's only some songs and I can let it go. But I spent hours curating perfect playlists with hundreds of songs and the songs just vanish from the playlists. It happened once, and I thought I might have done something. But now it has happened again. Good thing that Prime Video has good content. If this was a standalone app, I'd have let go of it long ago. I'd rather pay for Spotify that struggle here.

Everytime I try to check out an album in the actual store section, I get a message about them having trouble on their end and to try back later but that's all it will keep telling me so I can't buy music from there... I tried uninstalling it and then reinstalled the app and still have the same problem! Its very annoying cause this used to be were I would purchase all my downloads.

The interface is terrible. It's slow, counter intuitive, and buggy. You'll try to play one song, but get another because the song you tapped on stopped existing. The streaming may randomly stop. I sometimes need to close the app and open it again just to get it unstuck. Why is the (+) icon not a menu to add to a playlist? With Spotify, Google, and a bunch of other established music apps with a better interface, WHY did they design it like this? Why?! Despite all this, the audio quality is good.

Android 11 update now can't play music on phone not downloaded from Amazon. This is a problem when even purchased music also goes to the music folder and Amazon music can't read it either. Co-workers have same issue. So it's not just me. Maybe we all need to look elsewhere.. Also, uses battery even after stopping like no other app does. Needs work. Amazon, do you read these? Thanks

I really want to like this app but the constant playback errors I get when listening to podcasts is inexcusable. I've done everything from redownloading the app, clearing the cache, reducing the quality, using WiFi, making sure it's in the latest version, etc. Nothing fixes it. It can be 10 seconds or an hour but eventually it will randomly pause, stop playing the audio, skip back when pressing play, drop the podcast or just close the app entirely for no reason other than "playback error".

I originally gave it 4 stars, but have to amend it due to it being unusable now. It stops after playing a few seconds of a song. I have restarted my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled it many times. Won't stay working. Considering what Amazon Prime cost, this is totally unacceptable. I will have to reconsider my membership.

This app is trash, which is surprising for amazon. It cuts off randomly and never saves the spot, and messes up the app when it does. Multiple times an hour and even if downloaded. I finally found someplace else to listen to my things. I can't interrupt my work to keep resetting the app and then finding my episode, then looking through it to find where I was.

I used this app to listen to try to listen to podcasts. The problem I am having is that playback just stops. It will play for a few seconds then stops. I restart playback, it will plat for a few seconds then stop. Doesn't matter if I am streaming or trying to listen to a just stops. I have restarted the app, reloaded the app and restarted my phone but nothing seems to fix the issue.

I am a new user so I think this Music App has a lot more to offer than I have explored. I have enjoy the personalized music stations. But I really like that it will keep playing while I am on other Apps multitasking. And that if my playlist runs out then it will continue to play similar music choices. And I enjoy some of the playlists that they have created for me even though my music tastes are widely scattered.

I LOVE this app, but it isn't flawless... It has a lot of bugs and features that are SO Annoying, like when I'm connecting to my Amazon Echo, the song I was listening to turns off and a whole new song comes on that has nothing to do with what I was looking at, searching for, or anything like that. It freezes a lot when I'm playing a song and looking for other songs to listen to, then I have to reboot the whole app. But sure, it's cool.

S9nce it updated yesterday it wont go through a full playlist. It plays only a few songs then goes back to the beginning, or it stops the song half way through, or it repeat it over and over. I have to close the ap down and go back to it and then it doesnt always work. Its very frustrating.

I absolutely love Amazon music. It has a wide range of artists and albums. They continually add new albums when they get released. What impresses me is that they have a lot of artists/albums that I listened to when I was a teenager back in the 80's. Plus I can stream Amazon music through my Alexa devices. Which allow me to listen to exactly what I want when I want without issues, commercials, or delays. If you're a music lover then Amazon music is for you.

update-the update they pushed has still not fixed the issues anyone else still having the same issues Used to work great i have had nothing but issues since the last update of purchased music not showing up in the music library, downloaded music not showing up in the library. I dont use apple products at all and i don't just steam my music, i like to support the artists, Amazon seriously has dropped the ball recently with their music downloads.

I love this app but since a month or two ago it tends to stop playing the songs jm listening to and then also tends to play a different song than what i select. I have all my music downloaded so not an internet issue. It even does it when im using internet or mobile data. Thats my only complaint. Other than this, everything else about this app is great. Please fix these bugs in your app. You have released 2 or 3 updates since it first started and none of them fixed the issue.

This is getting to be useless. Nagging screens to make you upgrade, unable to edit music, even the music you get from amazon has incorrect tags so you're never organised. Offline music takes ages to load and play, the list goes on. Utter garbage. So bad I download my songs and use a better music player from the android store.

Constantly freezing/buffering and never recovering songs or playlists. Loved this app until these issue's appeared, annoyed me enough to give it 1 out of 5. Even when you close the app and reopen it, it still won't connect for another couple minutes, massively frustrating. Its not an issue with WiFi or Mobile Data connection!

Almost every song that I search, or every album, no matter how obscure, is easily found on the app, and I love that I don't have to worry about misplacing my account, like my Walkmen. I can just plug in on any electronic device, and listen to great music. I absolutely love it.

Good music app really enjoying the music available. However it's a shame when listening to your favorite music though it doesn't show the video its just the album cover in the back ground the listeners should be given the ability to choose if he or she wanted to watch the video clip or a static background.

It actually got worse they kept popping up with unlimited subscription like it was Required. One day it even had just enough lag to charge my debit card faster than my bank had ever processed any transaction in the history of banking.... Good for some songs but the second they can replace an instrumental with a Casio keyboard they do it .... If you want real brass find a YouTube channel

The amazon music service is fantastic, but this app is a broken mess. Constantly freezing and doesnt load songs unless I restart the app, and even then it takes a few tries. The only thing that keeps me using this app is the ultra hd music and I already have a vast amount of music on this app. The Spotify app puts this to shame. The search function is pretty poor too, singles and ep's arent listed as albums so they dont appear under the artist. Edit - It is even worse now. 0 stars.

An outdated interface... App is really easy to use, but unfortunately lacks some basic tools. For instance while listening to radio, pressing 'play next' does nothing. Hard to manage playlists. Recommendations are 50/50 hit/miss. In the app description it's advertised about music hd. But this is not available to me. Search function needs a total overhaul. Compared to Spotify this app is ~5 years behind. Sounds quality (unlimited) is slightly better than Spotify, way better than YouTube music.

Some songs are not there and also not easy to find. And some times some songs are not playing . Also if I searched for a original version of a song, it shows some other cover songs as preference. Its really annoying. Also try to do some efficient and user friendly UI please.

Since a recent update, I am unable to view albums contents in the store. Tapping on an album to view the details just reports that there is a problem and to try again later. Has been doing this for two or three weeks now. Used to be great, but recent updates have broken the app.

After using so many music apps. I can say straight forward, that this app provides the way better soundquality of music. I really love the clarity in the sound. Like i am listening the FLAC quality. Best ever music app, best part you can also create your own playlists , which is not available in many other apps. Thanks amazon for such amazing app.

Music selection good, quality good, I just hate the layout though. I don't like how if I put an artist it also adds them to my saved artists. I don't like how I can't just click on an artist logo to go to them. I also have trouble with songs missing from albums or them being out of order. Sometimes hopping in and out of the album fixes it.

Many bugs. While connected to echo Dot, the music isn't in sync. Cannot change volume of echo Dot. In offline mode, can't find the music folder selection option. All my recording get played suddenly. No option to like the song. Sleep timer is in settings which should be right in front of the eyes. Highly non friendly app. Please learn from Spotify atleast.

It's not working perfectly sometimes it's automatic off the sound and you need to push again to work. But sounds it's normal and I don't like the face of apps. If you want to use international singer I don't know why the name of singer it's katakana. That's singer it's not japanese. Why not in english because all japanese can read english as well

Skipping Like a CD. So Annoying! Just started this week. I even downloaded some playlists thinking it could be an issue with my WiFi connection, but there is no difference between streaming and offline/local music. All songs are skipping like a CD. I pay a plenty hefty monthly fee for the unlimited plan, so this is extremely frustrating!! I see from other recent reviews, that I am not the only one. PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!!!

This is an incredible app! With the proper skills we can play Amazon Music on all of our Bose SoundTouch Speakers (individual or as a group) using Alexa. However, there are several drawbacks playing from within the app: FIRST. you can only cast to individual Bose SoundTouch speakers and not a group. SECOND, you cannot control volume on the connected casting device. A problem when on your phone and can't use phone volume buttons. THIRD, had to uninstall/reinstall app to work with Bose.

music plays fine but podcasts cut out every few minutes with streaming issues. sometimes it restarts on its own, sometimes it doesn't. When I close the app after listening to a podcast and reopen it, the app reopens to the last song I listened to instead of the most recent thing including podcasts that I listen to. I have to close the app a lot due to to the streaming issue above. It happens over WiFi and data so I can't get any relief. Music playing is fine. Go elsewhere for your podcasts.
