Reviews From google play store

Started the trial and I must say it's not looking very good. YouTube music has this feature where you can switch between video and just the song, which is a pretty neat feature. But the video and the song is mostly different versions of the song. So when I add a song to a playlist, youtube music then just chooses randomly between those options to play and it is infuriating. And then I can't skip that song while I am driving as YouTube Music doesn't have a car view. Going back to Spotify.

This app was cool because I could just listen to the songs i wanted to whenever(even with the ads) now the music just stops for no apparent reason. Ads play but there's only a black screen the the song doesn't play. Hope this isn't some stupid "glitch" to get ppl the pay for a subscription. If it is it's only missing me off. Why would I pay for something that doesn't work?

I personally really like it. The random song feature is great because it picks out songs based on your most recent song search and it's a great chance to learn about new songs. It's a better Spotify, but only if you can afford Premium. And the only reason I say this is because you have to pay Premium to listen to your music while you phone is off. If you can't afford it, stick to Spotify.

Works as advertised. I'm using a cheap (Tetra) Android phone with limited data plan. I use the app at night to download my playlists on wifi then I can listen to them all day on bluetooth without killing my phone's battery. App has frozen at startup 4 time in 3 months. I closed it and restarted the app and it worked fine. Have never had an issue with playback or downloading. I feel like the $13.50 a month for music and video ad free is a great deal. Can store 500 songs on my phone, delete them when I'm burned out and load different ones. Each download is stored as one file so if you download an album you can't delete just one song off of that album, you have to delete the whole album. But you can make a playlist with only the tracks you want then download that. Downloads are very easy to use once you get used to it. Also Android System Clock syncs with this App so you can wake to music of your choice.

This app has a great aesthetic and vast library of music, however, I'm finding the only way for this to be somewhat of an option is to pay for a subscription, fortunately there are student and family deals but it is still quite pricey. YT Music is failing to be a competitive service, this is mainly due to the system itself; it relies on videos sometimes (foreign or indie music) where the artist is the channel and it's just a big mess. Also, the hotlist needs to be replaced by something useful.

As a free app the search and locate is very good. It is rear that I can't find the tunes from the era I'm looking for but sometimes you need to be a little creative in your search phrase to find them. The playback quality is generally very good. I don't like that I can't stop ads that I've seen multiple times and I'm not interested. As a previous YouTube red subscriber I miss some of the paid features but I refuse to be blackmailed into re subscribing at double the rate I was paying before.

Downloaded this because after an update YouTube no longer had the cast button in the app on my phone. The convenience of just being able to throw music to the TV after a night out was brilliant but you can't do this in this app either. It's not for me I'm afraid. It will probably stop me using YouTube altogether on the TV as it takes so long to search via TV remotes for what you actually want. I also don't see why I have to purchase a chrome cast just to be able to have that ability as well.

I Love my YouTube Red premium service!!!! I am a music junkie and I listen to my YouTube music every single day, for hours at a time!!!! For only $10 a month, it can't be beat!! And the music it recommends is always on point with my taste.. I have been a Red subscriber for years now and I don't see that changing anytime soon!!! Any time I have any issues, they are on it and fix it swiftly!!! Can't say enough about how satisfied I am!!! I recommend it to people all the time....

This app is so unacceptably glitched. Everytime I close and re-open the app, the UI just gets stuck and the only way to bring it to normal is by completely closing the app and re-open it. This is completely unpractical and given the time it was released and the subscription cost, it is quite annoying that these minor glitches did not get fixed.

I've been using the app for more than a year now and I have a couple complaints. I hate the applications new icon, it looks bulky and stupid on my home screen. I liked the old simple circle. And the number of times that the app has stopped to ask if I'm still listening is super annoying. I'm not 5 years old YouTube, I know there is music playing in the background while I'm working and I'd rather it just kept playing.

I like the fact that it works like a background music player and that i can save mobile data and battery with it. But the recommendations are worse than the ones on the original app. The playlists are almost always the same and I feel like I'm disliking songs for nothing. Also I would like the option to close the "live performance " menu.

Unable to swipe and skip songs, can't seek while in android auto mode. Not tablet optimized at all. All activity linked to YouTube (playlists, likes etc.) Top lists include weird local songs in German, French or whatever the local language happens to be. Overall I'd say the product owner should be fired and replaced with someone who cares about making great apps.

The app still lacks some basic features such as repeat song/playlist. There's no need to make the app act like a YouTube playlist. Apart from this lack of basic functionality, I might still switch back to Spotify as it has far superior features (most played songs of the year album, far better recommendations). Install an addblocker extension to your browser and do not switch to this service; that'd be my recommendation.

Not being able to sort songs in play lists is a basic feature that is sorely missing. Also missing other essential basic features that any music streaming service in 2019 should have. How can I listen to only songs by an artist that I "like"? No option to like in other competing services. I really want to like YouTube music but they aren't there yet.

Worst playlist management in any music app I have ever used. For example: Got a playlist running. Stop it. Start another one (using the "shuffle" button). Plays one song and goes back to previous playlist. If you start the playlist without "shuffle" it seems to work. Just one of many "bad UI" examples. App not so great but music selection is really good...

Casting music is an awful experience. It doesn't start the new playlist when you hit shuffle, it just adds one song to the last thing you was listening to instead of playing the playlist. You can't switch between groups/speakers from the app. A lot of songs unavailable. And a lot of albums removed from my downloads, not even sure when or how.

After a year, this app still deserves 1 star. Google Play Music is far better still. Let's break down the problems. Still very clunky. Combines the randomness of youtube into playlists. I don't want my music library and my YouTube history together. I don't want cover songs and other "related videos" in the way of my music streaming. This is not a pure music streaming service. It's trying to be more than it needs to be and somehow still doesn't do enough. I will still stick with GPM.

When we're all forced to use this instead of Google Play Music it will be one of the worst decisions Google has every made. The auto generated playlists/radio are just dreadful for discerning classical music listeners. If you're able to transfer all of my GPM history, preferences, likes, stations and album collections, AND the superior algorithms which create classical radio stations and playlists, well... Ok, then. I'll happily accept YTM.

Really not a nice complete experience. Too many bugs when casting to a tv (Sony x900f) can't have the "shuffle" and "repeat" options while casting... Plus, can't chose between videos or song while casting.. You need to uncast, then choose videos, and then cast again. Then you'll see the videos on your tv BUT eventually(after few songs) it stops to shows the videos and goes back to just playing the sound with no videos.. How?? Just how can it be so difficult to make it work with YOUR products?..

Cool app for music and I like how it's synced with my regular YouTube account so I can easily access my playlists when using either app. Have to give it five stars because the library of music is seemingly endless, regularly updated with new releases, and provides me with a soundtrack to jam out to whether at home, at work, or on the move.

It's an okay app... I don't have any problem with it yet. The playlist is good. But using it with Google home is kinda weird experience. Spotify can use the app to control what's playing on the Google home. But ytmusic just play the song on the Google home and I can't use the app to control what's playing, It just not in sync. I can even play different song on Google home and on the app. Weird......

App is so buggy. I still use this instead of Spotify because I pay for YouTube red anyway. A few bugs 1) the song download system doesn't make any sense. Songs I listen to often will randomly become undownload and some others won't change. 2) if you save a playlist you can't delete songs from it and add your own 3) you cant shuffle from a specific song only from a random song 4) sometimes the app won't open up and start. I get around this by holding the app and press it start offline mode.

I really enjoy this app and feel like it's highly underrated so I'm going to leave five starts, but there's two things that annoy me. If I go to a song sometimes and press and hold it won't always allow me to go to that album, I have to manually search that album. Another thing is (personal experience) I listen to a lot of Eminem but when I search his album Kamikaze, it doesn't even show up in the album section. I have to go to his channel and select it there. Please fix these issues.

on a side, tons of music, so it's nice to have on the other side : . can't use it in background for not premium account (-1 star) . very huge battery drain (-2 star) . on my pixel 2, my whole battery disapear in around 4 to 5h. it may be amplified by previous point conclusion : i will no longer use it, at least until battery drain problem is fiixed

This app is incredibly worse than play music. Starting radios will consistently play the same batch of related songs and takes 20+ skips before you get something a little different. Even after setting your preferences. I do not have this issue with play music. The app also likes to close randomly when playing over Bluetooth. The interface is okay but overall this is just not better than play music and it is laughable if intended to replace play music in its current state.

I subscribe to this service only because it is bundled with YouTube premium but this service is so problematic that it's not worth the hassle. Both music discovery and offline functionality--core features for any music service--are atrocious. Playlist searches by artist name tend to offer only "best of" lists rather than proper mixes, artist "radio" playlists can't be saved for offline listening or added in bulk to custom playlists, and offline playlists randomly become unable to play.

This is a great app, and the smart downloads ability works perfect. I always get the music that I like. However, I'm very disappointed that this can't be used on Wear OS... I switched to YouTube music because it is the default music app on the Pixel 4, which typically means that Google is phasing out Google play music and replacing it with YouTube music... Google, please add the ability to control music from YouTube music on Wear OS! Also, the developer email is not valid...

I've been using it for about 2 years. I love every bit of it. I used to have a Sirius XM subscription until I found YouTube Music. I love that I can literally listen to anything I want whenever I want and most anything I could want to listen to is there. I also love the way that YouTube Music pairs similar artists and music based on what you like and listen to. I've found quite a few new artists I like and now listen to because of it. It is definitely my music streaming app of choice!

Widget is there now so the rating goes up, can anyone at your side start updating the "whats new" field when pushing a new build to the store, would help so we don't have to do that sherlock everytime an update happens in order to know whats up. Also, please try and fix the random pausing of the player while connected to any bluetooth device, headphones, car bluetooth, anything that has to do with bluetooth, it just randomly stops playing after a few songs and you need to press play again.

This is by far one of the most unique platforms for music. You can basically download any music or audio from videos you find on YouTube. Being able to download play lists and so on. However, I find it quite unfortunate you cannot search in your downloads for specific tracks. Minor, but actually really annoying especially when you have near 1000+ tracks to go through.

So many genars to choose from at anytime and the ability to create multiple playlist for whatever mood I'm in. The only downfall I c is that it pauses too frequently and this is a little aggravating when I'm at the gym. I would love to see a pic for that, maybe build in a activity mode that we could select. As a side note i use the free version and the ads are acceptable.

I really enjoy my YouTube Premium but I wish they would just add a sync download playlists. I have two duplicate playlist (music1 - music1.2) when I want to update my music playlist with the new songs I've been adding to it I delete playlist (1) and redownload it. Now all the old songs are already downloaded in playlist (1.2) so (1) will just add the old music and only redownload the new songs. No need to redownload a playlist just to update it. Or a person can wait 3 weeks for YT to sync itself

This app is so frustrating. I've been using it for at least over a year and it hasn't improved much, which is just terrible and discouraging. I actually keep forgetting I have it. I'm certainly not looking forward to when Google Music gets switched over to this. Google Music is a far superior app than YouTube Music.

Not all youtube videos are there, per month cost should not more than 30₹/month, right now it is 100₹/month. Video pinch does not work like youtube. i can't find many videos that are easily available on youtube. Everthing works OK, as we all have history and subscriptions with youtube, so it knows more than us... please add lyrics option within app so it will be more entertaining and useful.. I think they should just make background play available on youtube instead of making this app..thanks.

At first, before the update, it didnt auto shuffled all of my songs, but after the update, the playlist would always be on constant shuffle, and there is no "off" switch for the shuffles. Overall it's good, but latest update for the auto shuffle made it disappointing to use when wanting to play the songs in order. For if you do, you'll have to rechange all of them around. Which grows quite annoying overtime lol.

1st, while playing a song it will either cut off or the stuff in the queue is already in the playlist. 2nd the recommendations are completely off scale to what I like listening to, or are already in a playlist. 3rd, the ads. They take too long and I don't really want to pay for something in an ad or pay for something to get rid of them. 4th, The ads come up every song. It didn't always go like that, Before one of the updates I would get a 5 second ad every 5-6 songs now its every song 15-2 mins.

This app is cool and all but it is terrible at allowing you to browse music. The new release section is limited to maybe 7 albums/EPs/singles and a mix and the same for every other category. The "Hotlist" is only videos and that too is very limited. The endless playlist plays the same songs over and over and it's so hard to discover new music after you've exhausted what's offered or if you're not interested in what's offered.

I've tried to like this app, but it just doesn't hold a candle to my preferred music app. I used it for maybe a month or two, trying to train it to my musical preferences, but it just kept suggesting the same stuff over and over. The one feature I do like, the mixtape feature, is a great idea but I'd like my mixes and radio stations to not repeat artists too much. For some reason it thinks I really like this one particular band because they come up every other song in every mix. Play is better.

I mainly use this for offline listening and I just noticed that it is consuming so much data even though I'm playing an offline playlist. It turns out that downloaded music is tied to a playlist, song1 is present on both playlist1 and playlist2, downloaded it on playlist1 but not on playlist2 so everytime I play it on playlist2, it consumes data. Filtering songs by artist or album does not work. You can learn how to implement things by using Spotify. I cancelled my spotify for this lol

The UI STILL bugs out EVERY DAY, meaning I'll have to force close the app. It also rotates just by slightly tilting/shaking the phone, unlike any app I've tried. Some albums are available when searching for them, but not through the artist page. When listening through mobile data, it'll almost always use the lowest sound quality even though I've set it to medium and can easily stream HD video. The radio and playlist functions have improved slightly.

I'd like an easy way to view lyrics for whatever song is playing.(like Apple music) Album art images sometimes dont change between songs. EQ settings don't stick between opening and closing the app. The EQ stuff is really getting annoying now. Why on earth does it feel the need to try stream an album I've downloaded? When it could just play it offline? That's really daft. Why are you playing me songs I've disliked when I use the "offline mixtape"?

Still exploring features but the roll out of new features and updates never cease to amaze me. Love the new download options. And love the huge collection of content. Offline really saves a lot of time and $$ when it comes to beneficial needs of your everyday personal use. Only small problem I have on my Android, unlike the YouTube app, is the inability to search for songs via my downloaded list offline. Which I'm sure will be fixed. App Highly Recommend!!

The app is definitely promising, but it still lacks a lot of things. Why can't we arrange the songs alphabetically, searching for songs makes it very difficult for us. A one click download option should also be available in the playlists, having to press the additional option for every song to download it takes a lot of time and effort.

I installed it, opened it, and tapped 'Sign in'. Nothing happened. I tried several more times with the same result. Closed and re-opened the app, same problem. 1 star, as I can't even sign in! Edit: Was finally able to sign in after restarting my phone. App is slow and I'll need more time before I can give an accurate review. 4 stars for now.

I'm currently using Google Play music. YouTube music still cannot match the amount of artist that Google Play music gives you access. Alot of what I'm talking about is underground dance music and rock bands that are not main stream. You can't find them on YouTube music but Google Play music you can. So keep trying Google. If it wasn't for the free YouTube premium I get with my Google Play music subscription I would have left it along time ago for Spotify

Been loving the app till here recently, I'm not sure what's happening but the app wont load anything and it freezes, close app restart back to the same problem, hit library goes to a blank page, hot list blank page, home loads 6 album covers but cant scroll. Please fix or something somehow. Paying to have this amd it's not working for 2 weeks now is ridiculous.

App has potential but needs work. Good quality videos and music but the toggle switch to change between the two ain't consistent. While casting (app not available on the Android box) the toggle don't always show, sometimes it comes back when you stop casting.. sometimes it don't. Sometimes when you switch a song to video the next song may switch back and if you replay the the one you just switched it may or may not be back to song as well.

There are 573 songs on my playlist and is only downloading close to approx 400 songs. The rest are stuck at Waiting 0%. Already cleared download and re-downloaded the songs. Downloaded more songs on second attempt but still did not download the entire playlist. Shuffle and Loop function doesn't seem to work properly. I can't see a way to filter or sort the songs by artist/album/year, etc. I don't think premium is worth it at this time.

It's good, as long as you buy the premium. The premium will allow you to "download" things and play them without connection to the internet. Notice how I quoted download. You cannot download music to your device, though I wish you could. It's the only reason it's getting a four out of five. If you do not buy the premium, there's a little window that comes up and interferes with apps that you may play. I do recommend it, though.

Says I downloaded 766 songs, but it seems there is just a liked song playlist and some of the songs don't even play, even when I'm connected to WiFi. So it's been really horrible. Which sucks because it use to be such a great place for music, now it's frustrating, taking up space and giving me nothing back, seriously makes paying for premium absolutely pointless. Very unhappy. I don't know if it's the recent update or whatever but please go back to how it was because this is just the worst.

Love it! I find it easier to navigate than Amazon music. However, it is a little pricier than Amazon. I would rate 5 stars if it were, say, only $5 - $7 per month. Instead of , I believe I pay $11 and change per month after tax is added in, to use this app. So, I will be getting rid of either youtube music or prime music before both of them re-up again. Price, will be a huge influencing factor for me....

It is worst. I am supposed to use the free trial but is not accepting my debit card number. Second, since I skipped free trial, I thought I can play songs when phone is off. The good thing is just, you can get your favorite sounds on youtube and play it there. But ovetall it's a flop👎

I can understand that as a new service YouTube Music doesn't have as many playlist recommendations as Spotify's, but why is it that the UI feels sluggish? Especially when maximizing and minimizing the play now interface, and it sometimes pauses on me when switching apps Also sometimes I got notified by my phone's battery saver that this app uses quite a bit more battery and made my phone pretty warm. So this app isn't yet optimized, FIX THIS

The app crashes all to often. I often to listen to music on my commute home. While listening to music the app will randomly stop and the app will close. This is infuriating and distracting. It is also impossible to filter by genre or organize your music without making a playlist. I am disappointed with this app. Its only saving grace is the clean look and the huge library.

It's frustrating that the app doesn't have an 'offline mode' option. What's the point of being able to download the music but when your mobile data is on, the app still uses the internet to play the music (which you've downloaded)? We download the music so we could listen to it offline AND to not having to use our data to stream music everytime!

So I exited out my YouTube video (when I was listening to music) and the ad for this popped up, and finally decided to get it. In the ad it promised that you could leave the app without the music stoping. Which was right for a while but now it dose not do the same anymore. Also it took forever just to find the artist in the begging it sucked. I wish they had a search bar. Overall, nice app just sucked you can't get the music out the app.

Attention music lovers, this app is great even in the non premium state because it helps you discover more of the music you love. After a while you may notice how some of the songs you like simply won't load, this seems to be a measure to help push you to find more songs and new stuff that you'll enjoy. Stick with it and see for yourself how much new stuff you may like instead of listening to the same ol' songs over and over, don't be afraid to listen to the suggested songs and playlists.

Music quality is not good for certain songs. Loads very slow even for downloaded songs. Song just keeps on playing even when I get a call. Very annoying and dangerous cause need to pull out the phone and switch apps to pause the video while being on a call. Most of the movie trailers that I liked in YouTube gets listed under my liked songs and wasting my download space also plays in shuffle. Shuffle, repeat should be easier to access. There should be an option to download music's that I like!

I have already been using this app in premium version for 8 months and I'm actually so upset that your app still have some bags. For example: I have a lot of downloaded songs in playlists, and sometimes all the songs in playlist becomes [deleted video] if just one of the songs in the playlist was deleted. So I have to find this song to solve this problem. And the second bag: when I change "bass boost" or "surround sound" in equaliser, it doesn't save the next time i open the app. Please fix it)

We're actually getting used to use youtube apps. And the youtube algorithm is really great. But unfortunately, we don't see a quality of youtube algorithm here. I need to make a playlist everytime i want to hear a different kind of song. Because youtube music didn't give me a good recommendation of next song. And then, please give a group/set of type of songs, such 2019 top songs, pop songs, etc. So, we can play a song easily

This app is ok for streaming music. I like this over some other music apps because it takes songs directly from Youtube, so a lot more of the songs that I like that are more obscure (such as video game OSTs) are here. The one thing I hate about this app is how some songs from my playlist will switch from working perfectly fine to saying "Song Unavailable" whenever you try to play it. Even if you downolad the song it won't work. I only still use this because I haven't found an alternative yet.

The app is great and all but there is no track history. If you forget to like the song, good luck finding it again. Also the video feature is kinda dumb. If I wanna watch videos I'll switch to YouTube. Also I think you guys could take a page out of SoundClouds design for how you can move back and forth in the song by just sliding the bars left and right. Lastly please set the switch to portrait mode a manual thing. I keep having to turn off auto-rotate.

I think the service is pretty good but I'd like to organize my playlists from A-Z or it'd be nice to have a download all button for my liked songs. Another issue I have is having to shuffle everytime I play a song. I'd easily switch if these issues were solved. Thank you.

If you plan to kill off Google Music in exchange for this app, you'd better improve this app a LOT. YTMusic? Where are playlists? How did you make such a nice, easy to use app with Google Music and such an ugly, difficult to use app as YTMusic? I'm really disappointed, and I sure hope a lot of improvements are made in the UI and in functionality, or I will be switching to Spotify.

If this is supposed to replace Google Play Music this is off to a very bad start! Using this app you have to start completely from scratch. Even after linking your Google account, none of your already established playlists, music or anything else you've setup and organized is in this app!

Its just not as good as Spotify. But premium affects YouTube so it still outweighs just paying for Spotify rather than YouTube premium and YouTube music, but it would be nice if your UI was as clean and smooth as Spotify. Make a page for browsing music, finding playlists, make the library cleaner, remove the recently added, its an eyesore. Make it so we can listen to music that's downloading like Spotify does. Make it so we can listen to all our downloads without opening an album, that limits us

Hppy with YT music. it has topped all the other major streaming platforms which I have tried in terms of interface and general usage. I appreciate smart downloads more than anything else. I want to see the ability to search within folders which have been "smart downloaded" for instance, if I have enabled smart downloads and my "Liked songs" have been downloaded, I would then go into the folder and see a button to search within the folder, this would merit YT Music 5-stars

This app is complete garage. I don't know how you can force people with subscriptions to move over to this by completely neglecting bugs on Play Music. This app doesn't even have the basic features of a music app like I don't know loop a set of songs. I try to get pass that by creating a playlist with the album on it multiple times but you only pay the first 20 or so songs and then just decide that I'm done listening and stop playback. I'm finally ready to switch to Spotify.

YouTube Premium is trash for 10 dollars. Here's why. 1) the app will still periodically pause your music to see if your still watching (like Netflix) this increases about 3 times more when you go back to a non paying account. 2) the music you download is not actually yours to have. The channel creator can take it down and that favorite song is gone forever. 3) $10 is alot for something that was free. 4) the channel creators are what made YouTube. So give them more power. More money.

Unable to add music from specific artist to my playlist, or even play music from specific artist radio, even with $11.99 purchased plan. So I'll go ahead and use the free version for all that. Playing music with my screen open is fine, that's the only positive with the payed version, playing music with your screen closed. Plus customer service sucked when I called to try and verify why that was happening. She had no resolve.

I'm sorry but a music app should be able to play in the background without paying, the right way to go was to add a background mode ON YouTube for us to be able to play our favorite podcast/music or anything else that are not available on (for example) Spotify, this could be a feature for premium and would give another reason for me to buy it. YouTube music is just a dumb rip-off of Spotify on it's current state

This app is amazing because you can listen to your favorite music with any interruptions, but the thing is you only get a free trial for a month which is disappointing. What if someone doesn't have money for that kind of stuff? They're not gonna wanna waste money on an app for music! Or maybe they will... but that's not me.

This app is amazing, it's basically you tube playing in the background amazing app you don't need to buy things in order to play music over all amazing app. The only down part about this is that my music started to pause and play and then it sounded weird but it was soon fixed after.

One star cause this is made by google. Please consider following features. Ask to clear current queue or keep the queue when select something to play, a lot of times I'll "accidentally" clean the queue. Lyrics or maybe live lyrics support. Better radio and podcast support. Artist clipboard shortcut support. Go to Now Playing when entering from notification.

Downgrading my review. For a while this app worked great but they've gone and broken Chromecast playback again. This is the third or fourth time this has happened - to start a new playlist you need to disconnect from Chromecast, start playback and reconnect. Features continuously break - the team behind this app really needs to work on maintaining quality.

This app is great but it would be really nice if you guys created a feature to search for songs within an account's library instead of only allowing to search for songs online. It's very buggy right now tho, when the swipe up and down is made while playing a song...additionally, this app's icon after installed looks really bad, please fix these things in order to look and be better than spotify

Meh. YouTube music is okay. I think there needs to be some improvements to the app and service. Whatever algorithm you're using to generate playlist tailored to "me" (I think it's called "Your Mixtape") needs to really be improved. Those playlist so far are typically play 3-4 artists with a few random artists in between and it plays very similar songs. Boring. Some features from Google Play Music need to be rolled over such as swipe to change track. "downloaded music" does not play offline.

Really like this app. Easy to use and gives me what I need. Can find music for workouts. Easy to arrange music for dinner parties. Ads are a way of life. If having to deal with an ad is your biggest problem in life, then you are extremely lucky. This app is a gift. Take it for exactly that. Thank you for this app.

Nice app with potentials. The ability to download music easily and it works really well offline is it's selling point. But more works and features needs to be added. The ability to search for music offline doesn't work. It falls really behind in creating playlist and there are no music category by Genre ( similar to Spotify). Ability to sort offline music by artist, Genre , album etc should be added. And it needs lots of User experience work, especially the ability to link to album on click.

Adds are just to annoying. Almost one ad after every music played and sometimes i get 1 small add that i can't skip and after that one big one that i can skip after 5 sec. This isn't fair. Also please remove the damn "Try 1 month premium" it is also too annoying. If i select that i don't want to try it it doesn't mean that i must see it after a couple of minutes or the next time i open the app. Thanks for Opera that it has built in ads blocker on desktop :))))))

Very stagnant development. It seems like Google is not sure what to do with this app. There's not a lot of integration with other services. If you search Google for songs and albums, it will give you direct options to add or play them in other music streaming apps but YouTube Music itself is awkwardly missing.

This app has been out for 4 years and you still don't have the ability to continue where you left off playing with Android Auto. That has to be one of the most basic features a music app needs to include. Google should be embarrassed at their inability to deliver on basic functionality in their product.

Can't set as the "default media player" so controls won't work on maps. This makes absolutely no sense for an app that is supposed to replace play music as Google's streaming service. Also the lack of an identify what's playing feature at the press of a button is another annoying step backwards from play music. Can't understand why these basic features that already existed are so hard to implement.

It's great but missing a few basic features such as lyrics and Google Assistant integration (cause when I ask Google to play a song on YouTube music it plays it on YouTube and I can't set the YT Music app as the default music provider on the home app) that's all I can think of right now. Oh and it doesn't support Wear OS which is strange because YT music and Wear OS are both made by Google, i guess Google has better things to do.

I would say it's better than Spotify India as many songs are unavailable in Spotify such as of Iron Maiden, Theory of a Deadman etc. But when it comes to user interface Spotify is much better. The shuffle is predictable which needs a better algorithm to play songs at random. HOWEVER THE BIGGEST UPSET IS THAT THERE IS NO WAY TO LISTEN TO SONGS LIKED BY SORTING THE ARTISTS. Every liked song is put under one playlist and there is no way to sort them out according to artists.

Great app, best for music at great rates... Suggestion to the team is, if you could, please shift the "connected to Chromecast" text from centre of the album art to top or bottom. It, covering up the album art is annoying as I frequently cast to Chromecast audio and love the otherwise great UI. Also an option to view video on phone while casting audio to Chromecast audio would be cool! And stop casting just by dismissing the notification (currently notification cannot be dismissed while casting)

There's a need of upgrading the captions feature. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who tries to see the lyrics of some song and it's not available or when it's available is not in the language I'm looking for. I believe the app is not recognizing the language of the songs available, and it's really disappointing to have a dead pointless and feature that doesn't follow its duty. That's all, in the most it's a very nice music streaming app.

Moved from google music to this app. It's not there yet in terms of features and overall functionality. A few things that at simple would be listing my liked bands in alphabetical order, not in order of when I added them. Another would be that if I subscribe to a band it also adds it to my regular youtube. So now when I go to YouTube I have a ton of subscriptions to the bands I like which is fine, but now the people I like and subscribe to in youtube get lost in the mix.

Support email doesn't exist, and it doesn't list existing playlists when I try to add the tracks and it only has the option to create a new playlist. Otherwise a good service where you can find pretty much any track in existence and I chose it over Google Play Music.

This is the most glitchy app I have from Google. Sometimes the homepage won't show up so I can't repick. The buttons don't work on it. Even restarting the app sometimes keeps the issue that I need to restart my phone. It's been more of a recent issue.

**Lyrics support would be a great to have.** Alongside I would like to have add to playlist button right next to thumbs up button. And to have stop timer for the player. It's a usefull feature for many. **I wonder if it is possible to have song info regarding scale of the song, chords used for guitar and types of instruments that are used in the song.** App's integration with YouTube Videos and Playlists provides great satisfaction. Amazing playlists.

This app is awesome! I'm not sure if it is or isn't, but if you could, I would like this app to be on the Samsung Galaxy Apps for the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active as I have a Note9. I would also like 320 kb/s music streaming. Otherwise, amazing app! Edit: Now that I'm on the S10+ and received an update, this new YT Music icon looks terrible. The first icon should have been kept from the beginning because it looked the best. Please change it back!

There's sooo many songs that will not play, even the ones that I've downloaded, I can look them up and watch the videos but it will not play the just the song, it really only does it to the songs I wanna hear most, that makes me very unhappy, It was good till I switched phones (galaxy s9+) and then updated the app, now I'm really disappointed

Love it, t youhe fact that you finally can get only music results instead of results from all of you tube. U can message, invite, send media, however I do wish that u could minimize the app on the screen and still be able to do other things as well as listen to your music. It shuts off or glitches when it does happen to work properly.l

it only plays pop and the music is up to a high school level of musical context and quality but no better. it's just shallow-minded pop and it's the same songs over again. no matter how I set it or what I request it only plays the mainstream junk you can get on the radio for free and I want a music service so I can avoid that junk.

Absolutely disappointing, i expected that you could exit out of the app and the music will still be playing but it didn't, i really don't know the point of making this without the music playing after you exited out of the app, i mean its what i came for i thought that this app will be great but guess not. Really hope this is a malfunction and not an update to the app if it isn't please fix this quickly

Good.. Need lots of improvements #1: Include option for Lyrics (like Apple Music and other platforms) #2: Better layout for music selection and control over music playlist #3: It should be easy to navigate to ones own listening history as a recently played playlist (Generally people listen same songs in a period over and over again) Suggestions and playlist content is good... Really catches the mood.. Cheers

Clean app. The darkness is soothing. Nothing to say about the availability of music, this is YouTube afterall! Only two things could be better. Bring some charts or playlists according to genres and moods. That makes discovering new good songs easier. And the 2nd thing, improve the recommendations, they are a bit repetitive. Whatever I play, autoplay brings same songs again and again. Otherwise, great app.

Really love this app. Only giving four stars because I wish we had the option to search through our downloaded songs only instead of searching through everything. I have over 700 songs downloaded. Sometimes I want to find a specific song but not leave my downloads, especially when I'm underground.

This app has everything you need to hear any song! I've even looked up old old singers who my parents listened too and YouTube Music had it! I have so many playlists, all my music stored nicely and it's my go too when wanting to hear a particular song! Outstanding app.... Oh and it doesn't glitch like most I've tried or have limits. It's very user friendly!
