Updated review: For some reason the app is no longer accurate, and the Minutecast often shows info that contradicts the main weather forecast provided. It used to be so helpful for knowing when to walk my dogs, but not anymore. Old review: Best weather app, full-featured, accurate, and the minute-by-minute forecast is fantastic for deciding when to walk my dogs on a rainy day. My only wish would be to have a better variety of widgets.

  2. Alice Seidner-avatar

Worked well until a week or two ago. Deleted app. It took several tries to reload. App kept freezing. Working now except for weather alerts. It says there is one but does not show what it's for. Update: downloaded update and banner for alerts now shows. Added 1 star. But please remove the white from place names on the map. That was not an improvement. It makes them hard to read. Update 5/3 Alert banners are gone again! And hate the huge ads in the middle. Lost a star.

Great app, but the widget, the widget appears to have a bug, the weather is right, but the day isn't, for example, it tells me that tomorrow will be raining, but it tells me tomorrow is Monday, when in reality, Monday is almost over. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, checked every setting, everything is set correctly.

  4. Laura Jennifer-avatar

2 complaints... With my Galaxy Note10+, the app doesn't start by itself, I have to go turn it on manually every time I restart my phone 😐 ; And (2), the temperature in the Taskbar never updates itself. It's set on 30 min. frequency in Settings and all permissions/background data are on on my phone, so what do I need to do for AccuWeather to update??? 🤔

  5. Robert Zielfelder-avatar

Have used for years. Other weather apps do not seem as consistently accurate. The weather is always subject to change so the long range forecast of course are purely estimates. However, with that said I like having the feature as it shows potential future weather for planning events. Overall, a very good program.

  6. Cath Davies-avatar

Overall nice layout, but lacking widgets. Compares well to competitors Dark Sky and Today Weather. Better than Today Weather in 1 respect, that it shows rainfall volume - I find this really useful: 50% chance of there being 0.5 mm rain is a different prospect to 50% chance of there being 5mm! The app falls behind others on choice, style and customisation of widgets. Dark Sky and Today are streets ahead. Also, I really don't like the AccuWeather branding on the widgets, there's no need for it!

This app is amazing, I love it it has so many features that can help you prepare for the weather ahead. I love this one feature we're you set it to a certain temperature and precipitation and it'll tell you when you need to bring a coat and umbrella. I also can see the weather in other parts of the country where my relatives live. Best weather app I have had.

  8. Mike Ackerman-avatar

As someone looking for a replacement for Dark Sky (RIP), I started using AccuWeather and decided to do the in-app purchase to remove the ads (why not support the developers?). My issue is that I am still getting banners across the bottom for FourSquare suggestions. I don't want them and don't care. I'll be moving to Today Weather so I can keep using AccuWeather as a source without having to have the FourSquare garbage in my app--besides, their dark mode is AMOLED friendly anyways.

  9. Ethan L-avatar

The weather of my area is so inaccurate and it doesn"t provide the detailed radar forecast either. The frequent, unexpected heavy rain we have in Feb-May 2020 screwed up lots of paint works we have. Today, After the rain started in the 10 minutes, the status of the weather changes from Sun to Rain with Thunder, just now, when I click update button twice. This is typical. Totally unreliable app. It used to be better than this when they started their app.

  10. joe7327-avatar

Doesn't always find my location, and its glitchy. Sometimes just wont work. But it is accurate. Update as of 1/9/20. I drive a truck for a living, so weather info is important. This app doesn't automatically update my location. I have to do it manually. I even tried uninstalling the reinstalling. Always have location enabled, so it should update my location. This needs to be addressed. As of 4-25-20 location problem still not fixed.

  11. Jana Wood-avatar

It is ridiculous how inaccurate this app is.....not sure where it originates from but it needs to be evaluated for accuracy. Sun shining brightly and it reports it is raining.....and vice versa. Am going to look for another app which at the worst, has some accuracy. This one came on my phone and will,be installing. On the positive side, it does provide us with many laughs. April 16, 2020 This app is getting more ridiculous every day. Says it is 86° and the high for today is 75°? What the hell

10/19: This use to be a pretty great weather app, to the point that I have kept it, for quite a while, even after trying many others. Recently, it has gone down hill. I'm not sure what is going on. I thought maybe it was my phone, but I see others saying the same. I quit getting automatic updates and it isn't staying current on my location. AccuWeather is dead to me. I gave it a 2nd chance 3 months later, and after 8 hours, it had still not automatically updated. FYI: 1Weather has been reliable -- 5/20 Update: I'm trying it one more time, and I'll update again later. I tried the beta version and the notification bar icon wasn't showing the temp, which is half the reason I used this app, but the full release seems to be working the way it should be.

  13. Kathy Hendrix-avatar

I really enjoy the detail this app provides. Today's user interface is the best so far. The information you are needing is quick and easy to find. Predicted temperatures are extremely accurate. Ads do NOT get in the way of what you are doing and annoy the user as in so many other apps! I am disappointed that this ow only provides 24 hours of weather in detail!

  14. Hank Moody-avatar

InaccuWeather should be it's new name. It USED to be pretty good but sometime within the last few months it became very inaccurate. Currently the App is saying rain now and for the next 2 hours. But it's warm and sunny and there isn't a cloud in the sky. This bad weather reporting has become an increasing regular occurrence.

  15. Kay Alexander-avatar

AccuWeather is always spot on! I can plan my day and week ahead of time. By viewing the allergens on this site I can prevent any unexpected issues. I've been using this site for many years and prefer it to other apps because of its accuracy. Thank you to ALL who work on it, it effects my life every single day!

  16. Rodney-avatar

Whoever decided the placement and size of the ads, should b smacked in the face by whoever wants to smack them!!! This used to b the best weather app available, but now it seems like ur ads r more important to u and it gets worse with every update. I can find the news on tv faster than the radar loads and seldom knows my location although it's set to high accuracy. The app from a year ago was probably the best. IF IT'S NOT BROKEN, PLZ DON'T FIX IT!!!

  17. James Muller-avatar

I already had the paid-for ad-free version, used it a lot. Today some of it stopped working. Usually that means an app needs upgrading, so I installed this. This version wants me to pay again. It works about the same, a bit slower to show maps because it tries to show more unnecessary detail. It lost my list of locations. The hourly and daily forecasts are different, will take some getting used to. None of these are major flaws but I am disappointed and may revert to the older app.

  18. Dan Dippold-avatar

for the last several days ads are popping up halfway through the daily forecast and halfway through the hourly forecast ..its extremely annoying up at the top of the page as always are fine but these ads that pop up in the middle of the forecast are so annoying that I'm going to look for another weather app if this continues... It is extremely annoying with all capital letters and 15,000 points...

  19. Mary-Ellen Simas-avatar

Not sure what happened. I used to love this app. Now I'm getting constant notifications about things that I have no interest in. I shut off notifications but ot doesn't help. Also the location is always wrong now. I keep fixing it but that is a pain. The ads are a pain. Way too many now.I want my older version back!

  20. Ver Argulla-avatar

Not quite like the excellent ios app. I've been a long time users of this app on my iphone and when I migrated to android, I find the experience of the app to be very inferior. Gone was the easy access to minutecast and the clear graphs which you could hover and compare real feel and precipitation hourly. It still has that but doesnt show the numbers clearly and appear to be approximates. Hope the devs can make it look exactly like the ios app.

I had a different weather app on the phone even though I follow all of 6ab c 's weather people on Facebook through my tablet. Since the Accuweather app was available on my phone, I opened it to see what it was like. It is much easier to navigate and get the information I need and gives me more information than my previous app. Keep up the awesome work. Love you all!!

  22. Rebecca Rockich-avatar

    Rebecca Rockich

I used to love this app when i was a mailman. I knew right down to the minute when it would rain or snow. But they've changed it so much, always for the worse, that i don't even like it anymore. To me, it's very hard to read and the ads cover so much of the screen you can barely see the weather info. The only time i use it anymore is to see when it's going to start raining/snowing. I really liked it. Now i miss it. It's also hard to find what the severe weather alert is.

  23. JW Anello-avatar

Special weather alerts pop-up but if you don't read them immediately, the alert is lost. They do not show up within the app or the gadget. Also, if you have multiple cities being watched, you don't know which city an alert refers to. If the information in these Special Weather notices was important enough for you to send, then they are important enough to save within the app and to indicate what city they are referring to. The alert should not disappear until I chose to delete them.

  24. Asif S-avatar

I keep getting advertisements for Trojan brand condoms. This is very irritating. With all the Google Analytics that the apps collect on me, this is the only app that spits this onto my screen. Please... Get it right. Until this recent turn of events, it was quite a good app. 3 stars for the annoying ads as of late.

  25. Kim Sims-avatar

Smart looking app. Well laid out. Unfortunately, it doesnt provide constant temperature notifications when configured to do so. If it is set to show temp, real feel or current conditions, there is nothing displayed in the status bar. This is always a requirement for a good weather app.

  26. Eric McDonald-avatar

I've used this app as my main weather app for years. Bugs seem to be getting more prevelant. It's to the point now that I'm officially switching away. A couple new bugs lately: When clicking on alerts in my notifications, then go into the app from the special weather statement, it crashes. Moving the radar around for more than a few seconds, it crashes. I came back, still broken: It seems the previous bugs are fixed but now hitting the back button in the full screen radar crashes the app...

  27. Wendy W-avatar

It's great! The only thing is, I switched phones recently and now I can't get my favorite feature, which was rain drops on my screen when it rained or snow on my screen when it snowed. If there's a setting for that that I don't know about and can turn it on, that'd be great! Otherwise, it's my favorite weather app, it's very accurate, and informative.

  28. Dan CRAMER-avatar

This used to be a really good app. Now it's little more than an ad delivery service. The forecasts have become general, and cover a very large area. If you turn off permissions for it to snoop on you, it nags you and reduces unrelated functionality. The ads just keep getting bigger and more intrusive. Might just uninstall one of these days.

  29. Coleen O'Hanley-avatar

    Coleen O'Hanley

I paid for "AccuWeather Platinum"--it's right there in my purchase history--and it was always ad-free after that, and gave at least three weeks of forecast--but now I'm getting ads, and to unlock weather longer than a few days out, it's asking me to pay for it. I uninstalled and reinstalled, with the same result. Isn't that illegal?

  30. Joshua Oberg-avatar

I have only been using this weather app for one day. First impressons? I like what I have exerienced so far...After two days I can say that I would like the ability to set which screen is the first to come up when I open the app. It always comes up on the "Daily" screen which I do not use very much.

  31. Nic Curl-avatar

I tried the beta app for a few weeks. It is seriously lacking. Please do not push that out to everyone. The hourly forecast doesn't let you scroll through each detailed hour report, so you have to close that hour you are on and open the next. The opening homepage of the app takes you to the 60 minutes rain gauge. I want to see today's weather not scroll past ads to see that information. I was able to opt out of beta and get the old app back, for now anyway.

  32. L K-avatar

2 stars is for the beta, wouldn't let me leave one once I uninstalled it. You removed the feature that allows you to hold your finger on a place in the map and it would give you the current weather. I use that a lot. AMD the map no longer pin pointed your location. Why I'm back to this version

  33. Alan Fidler-avatar

Radar is the most useful tool in a weather app in my opinion, I use it more than any other feature. This one lacks two things, the retention of the zoom setting but more importantly a slider that allows the user to move forward in time by an hour or so. Really what use is Past Radar in a weather app? Predictive radar is far more useful. I have tried around 8 apps so far to replace Dark Sky, who sold their souls to the dark side. This appears to be the closest to actually providing something close to the notifications my previous app did. Two things would massively improve this app for me. 1. Display the today screen section without me having to scroll up to see it. 2. Give us a better radar map which retains the zoom in scale we choose and has a slider at least an hour into the future. This app could be brilliant, at the moment its just good.

  34. BluesStringer1955-avatar

Works Well For Me I've had this app for a few years now. I bought the version that turns the ads off. As far as I know, this app has never caused a system hang. It gives me the info I need in order to stay prepared and safe. There's not a huge choice of widgets. I've used the same one for years though, S I don't even look to see if there's new ones anymore. It's got what I need and does what I need. Can't ask for more than that.

  35. K G-avatar

I get that it's a free app and ads pay the bills, but there are more and more with every update. Since the last update, I feel that ads that are now popping up in the middle of the page are more visible than the actual forecast. I have used it for years, and downloaded to every new device, but I'm finally giving up... searching play store for a replacement.

  36. Kim Miller-avatar

It's a great weather app. Very detailed. However, when I check the weather, I want to know 2 things quickly. What's the temperature/precipitation now and what's going to happen over the day. I'd like it to open to a default screen that includes the day's low and high and chance of precipitation along with current temperature. I don't want to have to switch screens and scroll through a table of data for the information. This seems like a pretty basic thing that's been overlooked.

  37. Jesse Reynolds-avatar

I was slightly disappointed when I received notice that Dark Sky had made the decision to limit it's user base to Apple products exclusively. Then lo and behold I set out in search for another app I could depend on to give me the information Dark Sky offered. After sampling several apps, AccuWeather in my opinion is the best alternative. Excellent support, spot on weather info and an easy to navigate interface. I highly recommend AccuWeather, give it a shot and make your own decision.

  38. Colin Gordon-avatar

Terrible. Accuweather was once head and shoulders above the rest, but now, the view given is very poor. Oh for the time when selecting a day provided an hourly view that allowed the details of the hours to be displayed in the same screen. This current version seems to be change for it's own sake. Should have left well alone.

  39. K N-avatar

Never been a fan of AccWeather app. As another Darksky user 🤬🤬 I've been looking for ages. I need a weather app that gives accurate realtime rain warnings. This could be the one. I'll keep checking with Rain Alarm which is spot on. Hopefully AccuWeather will be my daily go-to. 4 stars because the Widgets are limited. A bigger clock please. 👍👍👍👍

  40. Sarah Lieto-avatar

it's a pretty accurate app for determining the weather. However it gives me notices to let me know things are going to happen and when I click on the notice it brings the app up and the notice is gone. So unless I read the notice from the teeny tiny little notification that I get to try to determine what the app is trying to tell me I have no idea what the notification is for. I get into the app to try to find what the notices it doesn't exist anywhere. Please fix this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  41. Becky Knox-avatar

Not very accurate, you're getting 2 stars cus of the ads and not being very accurate, you don't need ads to make an app Free. Nor charge ANYTHING for people to experience the app ad free, it's all an excuse to get people to use an app. I prefer the radar of my local news app, also I don't live in Cape Neddick Maine. I don't like how you can't choose "*Future* on the radar and can only see *Past* so I use the radar with my local news app getting alerts I don't care about and can't shut them off

  42. Jeff Moore-avatar

Wrong frequently compared to others using iPhone apps. I ride a motorcycle to and from work frequently and have been caught in rainstorms due to trusting forecasts from this app. I do live in the PNW so I know it's not the easiest to predict what is going to happen, but it really bothers me when iPhone users have a better idea of what the weather is going to be like. I don't like apple. They can S a D!

  43. Andrew Croft-avatar

Had weather bug for many years, over time it became so full of glitches and lately just crashed after 2 seconds. Switched to Accuweather and I'm so glad I did. The radar is so much smoother, accurate and doesn't have to reload everytime you move locations around on the screen. I'm still getting used to the UI. But so far I love it!

  44. Jono Martin-avatar

This would be a really good weather app, but the primary thing I want it for is the widget. The widgets have not worked for a long time; they stick at "Loading your weather...". I contacted Accuweather about it again yesterday and they told me, "We are aware of the problem that you are experiencing and are actively working on a solution. Unfortunately, at this time we do not have an ETA for a resolution." The problem is that they've had this problem for a long time. It makes me doubt they are actively working on a solution. Disappointed.

  45. Sean Carter-avatar

Solid weather app with lots of features and a good radar view. -1 star for sending the equivalent of feature nags on your 'severe weather alerts' notification channel. That's little better than those 'Severe Thunderstorm Warning' ads on Instagram and YouTube, and I'd really prefer not to mute that entire channel, in case there is in fact a legitimate severe weather alert and not a 'hey, did you know our app could do this?' nag.

  46. gladys ross-avatar

This app is almost always spot on. If it misses it's only barely a miss. If I wanted anymore it would be if Barometric Pressure is rising or falling. I go elsewhere for that when I'm feeling achy. Been using this app since my first smart phone. Many, many years ago!

  47. Megg Masquerade-avatar

    Megg Masquerade

Great app. Gives a wide range of information which is more often than not accurate. Has "real feel" temperatures, "real feel shade" temperatures alongside the true temperature. Gives wind speeds and interactive features to allow you to update what the weather is like where you are. Gives you allergy information, uv index, humidity, radar maps and "minute cast" which gives you an up-to-date 2 hour window for rain. Allows customised alerts/updates and you can change the unit measurements.

  48. pgrayharley-avatar

The widget on my homepage doesn't refresh rhe temp. I have to tap it open to get current temp. It works on my other cheap phone fine. Go figure but its a bit frustrating. Id like to know the current temp without opening the app all the time. The app SO many times is inaccurate. It has said rain when the sun was out. Does anyone read these posts? Do you care? I can't email them. It rejects my password. What password does it want?

  49. Celia Burkhalter-avatar

Im constantly checking weather in many areas where family and friends live. Accuweather is the best to give me the information that is within 5 minutes or less of actually happening. I appreciate having access to Accuweather on my phone as I do not have cable, satellite or internet where I live in the country. Thanks for keeping me up to date!!

  50. Ica Cherry-avatar

This app is great. Each morning AccuWeather report is already on the screen waiting for me; I'm able to see the forecast for the day or the week ahead so, I'm able to plan im advance. A report is sent to your phone every 2/3hours. If the weather is about to change (bad/worst) it immediately will send an update.

  51. Dirk Aydlette-avatar

So far so good after giving up on Weather Underground. (What the hell happened there?) Good customization, graphics, accuracy. Would like one little tweak WU offers which is an outdoor activity notification that tells you the next best time to do that thing you like. Pretty handy.

  52. George Little-avatar

Please update the charts to show when the low temperature will occur, either the beginning or the end of the calendar day. Right now it looks like the low temp always occurs at noon each day at the same time we also reach the high temp for the day. Otherwise this app serves me quite well.

  53. paul wilkinson-avatar

Not so Accuweather! An example on how bad it is. Yesterday I tweeted accuweather clear blue skies all around me. The same blue skies that were there all day yet the app said clouds all day including the hourly. Really poor. Didn't even update when it was obviously wrong. Far from the first time either.

  54. A Google user-avatar

The radar uploads a little slow. I prefer this over tv weather. I just wish it followed the most accurate forecast which comes from Europe. Europe's data and computer models are more up to date and more accurate. This needs to have a current updating radar at all times. Emergency services Ambulance, Police , and Fire departments use this and need up to the minute radar to keep ahead of tornadoes etc.

This morning your app is telling me that it is raining outside and it's 34 degrees. It's actually brightly sunny and closer to 40 degrees. This is not the first time this has happened! UPDATE: This morning it tells me it's 40 degrees, with Heavy Snow, and rain ending in 17 minutes!! WTH?? I AM SO OVER THIS APP!!! Delete time!!

used to accuweather ontv. i like this ap. easy to use & pretty accurate. I am getting tired of finding Wyomissing, a suburb of Reading on the ma ppl in place of Reading. They are not the same place and I am a drive away from that suburb. The map should read Reading!!!! I am in Reading. I am closer to Mt Penn borough than Wyomissing!!!!! Just because Wyo has money foes not mean it is the main place around here. So change it!! This is READING, PA, not Wyomissing.

The new update shoves ads in your face every five seconds after being on a screen. We know you need ads to maintain a free app, but leaving it on the bottom was just fine before. The ads are also not revevant content. The previous version of this app was significantly better. I am switching to a different weather source due to the agressiveness of advertisements here. But thank you for ages of being my go to weather source

  58. Mike Paulson-avatar

I recall a previous incarnation of this app you used to be able to set one location as the standard rather than using your GPS which drains the battery, even when you only have one location identified you have to select it Also the current and near future weather forecasts are rarely much better than me going outside and taking a look at the sky for myself. The projected rain for example, for my area is generally inaccurate

  59. Tony Vangel-avatar

1st AW is my most accurate weather app Disappointing (and new beta also) is like an engineer designed this. Numbers, stats, but no flow. Apps that offer AccuWeather have a better design than AW. Now a rush to replace Dark Sky the beta is loaded with more stats. And feels patched together in a hurry AW should be working on this constantly. This is the entire issue I have with AW. Never a leader, just responding. Such an excellent outfit. Outstanding customer service.

I prefer this app to most of the others out there. Accuweather is simple to understand. It's also pretty accurate to my area. I can find the pollen levels, precipitation levels, wind speed, whatever I'm looking for, it's very easy to navigate. I recommend it to anyone.

  61. Linda Duva-avatar

Please include sunrise and sunset times in your daily temperture. You did this in the past and then discarded it. When you send Weather Alerts and I go to click on them, they disappear and do not come back. Please fix these two issues as soon as possible. You have failed to fix the issues I identified and if they are not resolved, I will drop your service. 5/2/20

Discovered this App through a friend because he was excited about certain fearures that it had which I had been looking for. So I downloaded it and found it to have even more features that I hadnt even considered. And on top of all that, I spent the first 2wks comparing information across apps and found the forcasts to be more accurate more often with this one! So yes, I highly recommend!

  63. Maggie Splotz-avatar

Love the radar. I live in storm/tornado area. I can keep tabs on what they're doing, especially when TV goes off. Also I just like their forecasts each day, so I can see if I need a coat! Love this app & have recommended it to others! Thanks!

  64. Capt.drcheese-avatar

Radar is the only useful portion of this advertising app. I have never been alerted to severe weather until .5 hours after event, but this morning was the final straw. This worthless app woke me up at 4a.m. to warn me of the impending doom associated with "low humidity". Don't waste your time.

  65. Ray R-avatar

Accuweather says it's sunny (all day long) and I've been watching and waiting for that to happen and now it's almost late afternoon. Not first time. Accurate? Not in the least. Looking out window is more accurate. I don't even want to talk about the real feel temperature. That's off as well.

  66. Laura Bortz-avatar

I love this app! I landscape and base my day off it's predictions. The radar is especially accurate; I know I can stop working and wait, and in 10 minutes the rain will be gone! One minor (but annoying) defect... there is a glitch that tells me the high temperature for today is 78 degrees. In the morning it correctly displays the current temperature and real feel; however even if it's the middle of January and it only reached 48, it still says the high is 78. Not a huge deal, overall I love it!

  67. songstress250-avatar

I live in Madison, a suburb of Nashville. I have to continually search in order to get my local information. We are a large metropolitan area, and our weather varies, sometimes significantly, regarding rain, temperature and clouds. Very disappointing. I like the app, but, given the effort it sometimes takes in a pinch, it's burdensome.

  68. H. B.-avatar

Can't select weather station or even see what weather station is being used, which makes the app utterly useless during times like now, when the app is telling me that it's 49°F and in fact according to both my car thermometer and every other weather app it's 77°F. I'm pretty mad I just paid for this.

  69. Charles Heath-avatar

had a competing app from a well-known weather channel on television, it always had something going wrong/crashing. I am very satisfied with this weather app,and AccuWeather's commitment to making it as right, as right can be. Keep up the due diligence.

I have to have 2 locations. The previous location was in KZN. I moved to Pretoria. I cannot change some settings as they immediatly revert back to KZN Currently the ads in the app are just totally annoying. It's almost impossible to see the weather at a glance. I absolutely abhor ads in the middle of something I try to read.

  71. Pete Poorman-avatar

This has long been one of my favorite apps, but the latest (March 15 2020) version is awful. Lost all my settings, MinuteCast no longer works (just a white dots showing), disabling weather in title bar doesn't work, and no longer report for current location. Adding insult to injury, the ads are now super-intrusive. I've uninstalled on two devices. So did my spouse. I'll try it again in a week or two, unless I find something else that's satisfactory.

This has a more area centered weather versus some apps that show weather over a large area. The radar is based on minutes, not half a day. It can tell you, rather accurately, when rain will start and stop. Where I live we have a micro climate, meaning it might be sunny all across town, but we have rain. This app takes that into account. You have no clue how helpful that is if you work outdoors. All in all, a very good app.

  73. Ken-avatar

What a nice looking usable companion for my widget that came on my very awesome and beautiful Motorola Moto G Power. You don't get a more useful app than AccuWeather App. The ads, in the free app, are useful & not intrusive and the app is the best out there that gets the job done. Very well made app and to the point weather forecasts without the clutter. Thank You developers that worked on this app. Do I get my premium AccuWeather app now?

  74. Gordon Lee-avatar

Only feature I like is Minutecast and Radar although Radar seems to not render correctly on occasion. Hourly forecast is useless. As I write this, Minutecast says rain for the next 2 hours and Radar is showing rain for maybe 4 hours but Hourly forecast says it should be cloudy for the next 4 hours.

  75. EJ Espinosa-avatar

Purchased the Platinum version years ago and it seems it was combined with the free app. Contacted developer to restore paid status in the free app for no ads, additional hourly data, and daily forecasts. Still one of the (if not the) most accurate weather forecast app for Android.

  76. Tamara Kelley-avatar

I've been using this app for years, but starting to look for an alternate app now because of all the half-screen size ads that are popping up in the middle of the different screens. There are ads already at the bottom of every they have to now take up a whole half screen?? So not necessary.

  77. A Google user-avatar

Don't know how to delete towns I don't want anymore. maybe later i might revisit them & want to know, but irritating that all the places ive cheched out stay on my screen! New ads are totally annoying in the way of hour by hour readings. Who convinced you that would be good for your app.? Your app isnt improving. Just getting more annoying ads. I will delete app if you charge me extra to take adds off.

  78. Sean Keoghan-avatar

After unexpectedly using 2.6 GB of mobile data in less than six days, I need to give this app such a terrible rating, because that amount of data usage is completely unnecessary and could cost users a significant amount of money depending on their mobile plan. This app ordinarily used well under 10 MB in a month, so this usage was very surprising for less than six days.

  79. Anthony Evans-avatar

Pretty awesome app so much so that in the first 5 mins I paid for no ads. Only problem is the app seems to freeze here and there and I have to close the app and reopen for it to work. Not a huge issue, just hope that it gets fixed.

  80. M B-avatar

The 1/3 page adds in the middle of the "Now", "Hourly", and "Daily" tabs are obnoxious deal breakers. Please be sure to notify me after you've fired all those who thought this was a good idea - maybe then the app will revert back to actually focusing on weather instead of adds. Shame on you.

  81. Joyce Atteberry-avatar

This weather since recent updates does not work as efficently as before. The weather data continues to be accurate but the efficient way it used to work seems to have become very inefficient ease of use for average consumer is not there. Now as March 19 there are so many pop up adds, games it is difficult to actually check the hourly weathet. Frankly the app is worse than 6 months ago. This app used to be predictable could count on as accurate now😲😲

  82. Rick Zotz-avatar

I've been happy with AccuWeather for a few years, and have recommended it unconditionally - until this week. The latest releases have broken location detection and widget updates. If/when this problem is fixed, I'll bump my rating to five stars. If not within a couple of weeks, I may drop AccuWeather for another app. The clock is ticking...

  83. Elisabeth Chapman-avatar

    Elisabeth Chapman

Real rating: Close to 5 for the forecasts. But, this week, about a 1 because of the new, very interruptive ad format. The forecasts are good! The new pop up ads in the hourly and daily forecasts are extremely annoying! These are new for me the last two days (March 7 & 8), and I'm very disappointed. They really interrupt the use of the app.

  84. Ellen Peter-avatar

This used to be my go to weather app...until today. First I opened it up this morning and all my cities had disappeared. Then I made the mistake of updating. Big huge ads filling up middle of screen and videos playing which are using my data...I know you have to advertise, but in the middle of everything?. I'm giving one more week for things to change then I'm uninstalling .

  85. Amanda Hopkins-avatar

Pretty good & the alerts especially welcome, but ads unbearably intrusive - & T&Cs don't seem to state what the no-ad payment covers (though I might have missed the information: it's a long document). This app is specifically called "AccuWeather Winter", so how many AccuWeather seasons are there? Is the stated cost one-off, annual, twice yearly, four times per annum? If I pay, will I need to pay again in a week or two for a "Spring" version? Why is the answer not plainly and obviously shown?

  86. Lynne Cooper-avatar

Like so many of the current new reviews, I'm disgusted with the huge ads that appear in the middle of the page with a lot of flashing, movement and bright colors, making it hard to read anything. And the ad seems to move around as well so when you scroll, half the time you wind up opening the ad. Very disgusted. Sorry this is the tact being taken because otherwise, this is a great weather app. Would purchase no ad but can't find if one time 3.99, or monthly pay.....

  87. Bobby Krick-avatar

I dont like this new update. You've got all of those stupid adds popped up in every section of the app. From the now page 2 the radar & every page in between there are adds stuck in the middle of the page. Very annoying. I want a quick look at whats going on or what 2 look forward 2 later in the week & now you have 2 hop around adds 2 see it. Very disappointing. Im not happy. It was way better before. I say get rid of all the adds or lose users like myself that just want see the weather. Thanks

  88. Erin Davis-avatar

I love a lot about the app but for some reason the pollen counts are way off! I use pollen counts to determine when to take my allergy meds. Accuweather has been listing tree pollen in low/moderate range for weeks. Every other website that I look at say high or even very high. Wondering if maybe the pollen reports are based on historical trends rather than current pollen counts.

  89. Esmail B-avatar

I like it overall, esp the "Looking Ahead". But 2 suggestions: (1) Is is possible for both side-scrollable graphs in Hourly and Daily tab NOT to reset to the left-most position every time you switch from temperature to precipitation? Sometimes I've scrolled to the right, and want to see the corresponding temp or percip at that time/date, and it zooms back to the start :-/ (2) for side-scrollable graph in daily tab, please consider having 3 letter abbreviations for the weekday (e.g., Mon, Tue, etc) I'd be super happy to update to 5 stars with those interface fixed, so I'm hoping ... Thanks!! Started using this after Weather Underground app imploded.

  90. Ed S-avatar

It should be called inaccuweather. It hardly ever seems to be right. Don't include items like "rain will start in 8 minutes" when it doesn't even start to rain that day. You are supposedly forecasting for my exact location, yet you are not even accurate for the county. Finally, don't expect me to pay for an "upgrade" to get a two week forecast when you are typically way off on 1 week forecasts!

Recently i have let my phone or provider of my service already loaded on it. I just down loaded Accuweather because in my experience with them its always most accurate and dependable site for weather. I've told many friends and family over the years about it and they all agree and are believers and depend on this weather app

  92. Bonnie Murphy-avatar

I find it very accurate, more so in recent tornado traveling not far from where I live. I tracked the storm by Accu weather radar to know where to drive to get away from the danger during the evening hours. Thanks much for this app. Bonnie M.

Accuweather perhaps saved our life 3/2/2020 when a tornado hit our home just before midnight in benton county tn. We live in a rural area where there's no siren or shelter. I had an alert on my phone 8 minutes before it hit. We gathered our dogs etc and drove to a safer place a few hundred yards away. We heard it pass by a couple hundred yards away. And could see the tornado when it would lightning. If not for the warning on my phone we could have been injured or worse.

Used to be able to have more than one location listed and deny app location privileges, but now it will go back to the first listed location not the location chosen in settings and set before closing. I do go back and check it periodically. After a phone restart it is likely not to be on the setting it was on before the restart on my Samsung Note 10+.

Ridiculous, I have the premium version (that I paid for) and you still get forced adds in your weather report. No thank you, I paid for it to get rid of adds but no, the money is never enough, got to make more even if you screw your customers.

Just Now, All other weather apps say it's sunny, light winds, and near 60° already. I look out the window and I see a storm coming. This ain't Hawaii. It's the central valley in California. AccuWeather had it pegged on the nose. Even showed around when it would rain later today. Not sure how The Weather Channel gets their info, but I'm deleting it now.

Not accurate weather at all! It has said sunny and clear for 4/28 in Oklahoma and our local news station has been saying baseball size hail and 80mph winds this afternoon for 2 days now. Weather Channel agrees and your app still says Sunny with no mention of storms? I've seen many other mistakes but this one could put lives in danger if they only follow your app.

  99. Betsy Snyder-avatar

This app used to be wonderful until you put ads the size of King Kong on the page..Now if you try & tap an the day listed underneath the ad, you get the next day. Ex. tap Saturday & you'll see Sunday. What a mess they've made of this. I've uninstalled & reinstalled which didn't help, so the next step is finding a new weather app.

Not sure why, but after the middle as started, after the last update, my times on the hourly time is messed up by anything from 1-2 hours off, you need to fix this. I would prefer that you take out the middle add. If you had asked me before the new update I would have rated the app at 5 stars.
