Not quite what I am looking for but, to be fair, what I am looking for may not exist for one reason or another. If the mobile data switch in this app did what the WIFI data does, would be perfect but it is less work for me to just flip down the taskbar and turn it off that way.

Works flawlessly, tiny, clear and elegant interface! Most of the neg reviews are due to Android restrictions after 5.0, so it HAS to be a widget, (installs by long press on blank area of home screen, tap widgets, scroll all the way to right, drag to home screen,) and NO app can change mobile data directly-the best ANY can do is take you to the mobile on/off screen. So the neg reviews are problems w Android, not the widget.

For everyone who cant find it. Go to your widgets. Also it will open the data setting menu to turn it on but it the quickest one I have found and android does not allow a 3rd party app to change the phone's data off and on. This is much quicker than actually going into the settings. It does turn wifi off and on with one touch

It replaces one swipe and 5 taps with 3 taps. The installed size is the smallest I was able to find, 276kB. It is a widget, so you have to hold down in a home screen blank area in order to position it. As others have mentioned, one tap to turn off mobile data is not possible with Android V5+, and this app does the best it can with that limitation.
