Top Hat Soaring is an easy-to-use glide computer for soaring. In general we want Top Hat to be "as simple as possible, but no simpler." We've also added support for US task rules and one of the ways we've simplified the interface is to allow the user to set their nationality -- this way, when creating tasks, only the options for their country are shown, making the process faster and easier. This includes TAT, AT and MAT tasks.

I am a fan of Tophat as We installed it on a Kobo in a club glider. It works well and has a very user friendly interface. Just does not work on my moto g5 android phone it freezes up on startup. Requires a patch for the orea operating system.

I've used both XCSoar and TopHat. I prefer the TopHat interface. It seems a bit more intuitive. I run it on a GOFLY Project V4. In my opinion, If you are a glider pilot who uses club ships or who is even thinking about an inexpensive portable GPS / glide computer for any reason, you need to look into getting a GOFLY Project V4 and loading TopHat onto it. You won't believe how great the combo works for so little cost.
