Really buggy when watching video. Ads play very well every time and then the live video more than often crashes. If the video stream does load then it often gets stuck in a loop or just hangs. The Open is THE greatest sporting occasion and deserves better. Better still would be to get live coverage back on the BBC where it belongs.

A bit clunky - you "click" at the top to filter the view but at the bottom to select the actual filter - and not really suited to portrait viewing on the phone eg need to swipe across to view an individual's full 18 holes. Like the radio coverage option although it does seem to require a v good signal or it becomes a bit in and out. Generally the European tour app is easier to use for keeping up to date.

Rendering on this app is really, really poor! It's like the developer only has a 12pt font in mind! I'm talking about viewing this on a large screen (6.2") in either portrait or landscape mode. The scoring section is basically useless... Such a shame as the best golf championship in the world! Not the best app however!

Confusing to have the 9 and 18 hole scores coloured as though they are a birdie or bogey, if you must do this, do it a different shade so it's distinguished. Need a filter for alphabetical so you can find players instead of scrolling through the whole leaderboard to find them! Basically you need to download The Masters app and copy what they do.

I selected my favourites and when I check the leaderboard, or scoring, my favourites don't appear first. I have to scroll down through all players to view. What's the point of selecting your favourites. Too sunny to sit inside watching the box!! So my phone should keep updated with the App.

2021 update: still a piece of garbage. The only video stream that works is the Rolex commercial. All you get after that is another screen shot for- you guessed it - Rolex. Why is it the other 3 majors and the Players can make usable apps, but the open cannot? This app is unusable every year while the other majors continue to exceed expectations. Frankly, the open should lose its status as a major, and it should be given to the Players. It's a better tournament anyway.

Very average. You would think The R and A would manage this better. Unclear scoring. No difference between bogey and double bogey in col. Or the split between nines very unclear. Compared to masters all and PGA tour app. Very poor. On masters you can see all individual shots on each hole. On Pga tour app you can see where each shot has gone on a hole map. Very poor quality

I tried to sign up and it was supposed to send me an email to confirm so I could watch live. However, no email. The when I go back to try and sign up again, it says my email is already registered.

POS that only shows 'Something went wrong' when trying to watch live stream. Get plenty of Rolex commercials with no problem though. A manufactured bug IMHO.

Would love national flags in portrait view. Maybe replace favorite star with flags. I'm sure you could program click n hold to select favorites or something like that
