I really love the app's simplicity and the interface. However, I would not be giving it 5 stars as there are 2 issues i believe should be worked on. These will mainly be based on the widget function. 1. I dislike that while my tasks are sorted by due dates on the app, but on the widget it is random, it makes it hard for me to use the widget as I have many tasks in the widget. 2. I hope the widget can enable a darker color choice and provide transparency setting to fit different backgrounds.

I love this app! It really helps me stay organized! I always had a to do list on paper, on the fridge, but this is so much better. I can edit it and keep it neat and bring it with me on the go. I love that it syncs between my laptop and my phone, too. I also like adding dates and times to some of the to do items. It's easy to use and it really helps me keep track of my priorities.

  3. Evan Smith-avatar

Great app for managing tasks. A few downsides: 1) Can't see tasks in Google Calendar when accessing from your phone. Makes it hard to schedule. 2) When deleting a re-occuring task your only options are to delete it the one time or every single one of them ever. Just like with calendar events, there should be an option to only delete future tasks and not remove the past ones completed. 3) Re-occuring tasks don't show up in your task list until the day of, so it's hard to edit re-occuring tasks

  4. churvachurva-avatar

Love the app's UX :) clean and straight to the point, pleasing to the eyes. Suggestions: 1. Hope the notifications that would appear on the phone would have more options when the tasl comes up (e.i. move to another time, focus, etc. instead of just mark as done) 2. Wish there was a framework to oversee the whole tasks for the day from the different 'lists' from work/personal/ one look at 'my tasks' or things to do today... If I'm not mistaken that these are not yet incorporated. :)

It boggles my mind that the tasks created in the app STILL don't sync with the Google Calendar on the Android device. As much as I'd love to use this app, until this is made possible, I'm stuck with creating tasks in Google Keep, whose remindes (again, mind-bogglingly) DO sync with both Google Calendars (meaning the web version and the Android version).

  6. Sam Liveson-avatar

    Sam Liveson

The widget is beautiful and simple. I like having a list of things to do to look at whenever I have free time. But it's silly that you can't sync the task times with the Google calendar app. Tasks need to be merged as Reminders in Google Calendar, or the Task calendar needs to be available in the App version of Google Calendar.

3 features that would make me move from Todoist: 1. A cleaner interface for "today" list so that once today's items are done, can look blank, gives great feeling of completion. 2. Ability to set a recurring due date based on completion rather than a set rhythm, e.g. if I set repeat on Monday but I want it done every 7 days and I actually do it Tuesday, have the next occurrence on Tuesday. 3. Three or four levels of priorities within a list.

  8. Gary Hughes-avatar

    Gary Hughes

Getting more and more into this app, but it still needs a few extra features, such as being able to share ones's to-do list with other apps, etc. I'd also like to see a prioritizing feature so that to-do lists/items can be ordered according to their relevance and importance, other than simply being dragged to the top of one's list, which is only way to currently prioritize items. Maybe colour coded or a starring system introduced. Hope this is useful for potential future updates.

  9. Laurence Gonsalves-avatar

It used to be better. They got rid of multiple layers of nesting, which I used all the time. The new version "helpfully" offers to corrupt your old data. The fact that tasks disappear instead of getting checked is also a major downgrade. The completed tasks view seems to place tasks in random order, and so there's no clear way to see what I did each day. (Also, on desktop the new keyboard shortcuts are absolutely terrible.) Multi-account support is also broken: if you "share" (eg: a web page) to Tasks it places the task in whatever Google account you'd last used in the Tasks app, and there's no way to move a task from one account to another. So you end up with work tasks in your personal task list and vice-versa.

The app is great, but would like a few more features. Ability to sync with calendar, reminders, and have more sublists. Either way, the app is very satisfying. I just go back and forth between this and keep notes, which has more features. But this is great for simple daily task lists

  11. Bob Becker-avatar

    Bob Becker

I'm only using Google Tasks because other task apps don't fire notifications properly using Android Beta 3. However, GT has a MAJOR flaw that makes it uncomfortable to use. Repeat tasks do not show up until the next due date after completing the last one. In fact, the task may not show up until some random time the day it's due. Pretty scary to use; doesn't feel reliable. Future tasks DO show up properly using the calendar app in Chrome on my PC. Please extend that function to Android!

  12. David Mallen-avatar

    David Mallen

For me, there should be a way to sort completed tasks alphabetically this is particularly important for repetitive tasks like groceries where you buy the same things over and over again. I like to go to the completed tasks and just tap on the grocery items that I need now. But it's too difficult to find what I'm looking for in my lengthy unsorted list. If the list were sorted alphabetically I would be able to find items quickly.

  13. Wendy Dillard-avatar

    Wendy Dillard

This app is good for listing minor unimportant tasks. Using this for any important tasks can be a proplem because there is no pop up reminder that lets you know the task is coming up. You have to manually check to see what tasks need to be done, which if you have the time to continually check your list it works. However, if your busy doing something and an important task needs to be done you will fail to complete it because there was no alert outside the app to let you know it is coming up.

  14. Lucas Dondo-avatar

    Lucas Dondo

It's great! It's really simple, and I love it, certainly it's way too simple... There should be some "Advanced features" to customize some options/features. It would be awesome if it could be integrated with Google Calendar. Maybe the SubTasks could follow the same due date (Makes sense to me and I bet also other users/potential users).

  15. Johanan Joysingh-avatar

    Johanan Joysingh

Good clean interface. But it still feels like the bare bones of a good task management app. There should be an option to see all tasks across lists together. I think this is a pretty basic requirement. This functionality shoud have been ready when the ability to create lists is introduced. Takes so much time to load these lists too. Such a hassle. Should one wait for this in hopes that it will be heard or look for alternate options. I don't know. For now I'm hoping and waiting.

  16. Kimberly Johnson-avatar

    Kimberly Johnson

Cant do without. Syncs seamlessly with my gmail, shows up in my sideview. While looking a my laptop I can simultaneously see things I'm adding to my list while on my cell phone. I cant go shopping without it. And I can easily jot down random to do tasks as I think of them instead of scrambling to find a scrap of paper so I don't forget.

  17. Seyedali Hosseinizadeh-avatar

    Seyedali Hosseinizadeh

It's a little bit confusing at first but you get used to it. For improvement it could have some pre-defined lists like short-term and long-term lists, or today's list. Also it could use labels in addition to lists, as what's designed for google contacts. In lack of labels, you have to assign each task to only one category and this can't help covering all the user's needs.

  18. Timothy Williams-avatar

    Timothy Williams

Great! But overly simple. Needs a serious overhaul with many needed bells and whistles added. One example could be a Location Reminder ability. This capability is a function that is already in the Google Keep app. Just add that bit of code from Google Keep to Google Tasks and voila. Though you could make one change to that bit of code. It would be extremely useful if a user could set up a text that would auto-send when a specified gps-fence set up for that reminder had been breached. TBW.

    Matthew McClanahan

Wonderful app and really helps me avoid the bulk of carrying journals everywhere. I have adult ADD and task-keeping has always been a challenge. I use Tasks a lot because I can jot down ideas, set reminders, categorize, and check things off. I use my G-calendar all the time, so this keeps everything on one device. And syncs everything in one. My only recommendations are to have colored options, priority indicators, and ability to list by priority, etc. vs having to manually organize tasks.

  20. Anna Luna-avatar

    Anna Luna

Works better on Motorola phone than Google Calendar for notifications. This app pops up individual push notifications that are harder to miss than the ones that come up for Google Calendar. This app could be improved, however, by automatically giving you the option to set a time for a notification. I have to click too many things to add a notification. Also, if it synced more seamlessly with reminders on Google Calendar and Gmail, that would be helpful.

  21. Ángeles Pintos-avatar

    Ángeles Pintos

The app is fine and I was glad to find that it's part of the G Suite, so I can sync my Reminders from Calendar. Just 2 suggestions: may you please add features so that the tasks I add on my PC in Calendar appear here? Also, please upgrade this app for teachers/students to be able to plan & organise lessons/hmwk better. Otherwise, the Tasks app becomes unnecessary & I'll download another, broader, one. Thnx in advance!

  22. Andrew Roche-avatar

    Andrew Roche

I think this app is great. The ability to make tasks from email is indispensable. Two potential areas of improvement include: 1) ability to see an "all tasks" option which shows all the tasks from the different lists and 2) enable the widget to sort tasks by due date. If Google were to do this, I would up my ranking to five stars.

  23. Hannah Cookie-avatar

    Hannah Cookie

As someone with ADD/ADHD, this app is great for me. I can mark things down that I want to remember and then set a time so that the app will display a notification. This allows me to keep my focus on where I want at a certain time without fearing that I'll forget the thing that popped into my brain.

  24. Erica R-avatar

I am trying to use Tasks for all my routine and current project next actions. I like how you can set reminders and how you can drag items in the order you want them, as well as nest them. I really like the simple checkbox feature. I do not like that you cannot delete the Default list. I'd also like to re-arrange lists (like you can drag items within a list). And I'd like for there to be an advanced function of selecting several things from disparate lists to make a "today" to do list. Thanks!

  25. Alissa Kerner-avatar

    Alissa Kerner

Pretty good! I would prefer to be able to use it directly in gcal, like it works in the browser version. I always click the calendar and want to select the time before writing my task, it's just the way we're used to doing like in many other calendar apps, but Tasks is different

  26. Garret Quinton-avatar

    Garret Quinton

Syncing and streamlining? FLAWLESS. I love using the widgets on Android so I can see the tasks for all my lists and accounts at the same time. However, there are a few possible improvements: 1) I wish I could share my tasks from one Google account to the next, for teamwork and personal efficiency reasons. 2) Google Tasks may benefit from adding a few of the features of Asana, like assigning tasks as well, or a postpone button. 3) I also wish tasks could use voice, & location based reminders.

  27. Taylor Merkel-avatar

    Taylor Merkel

Generally plan my whole life on this app and love its utility. My only suggestions would be enabling a shortcut for creating multiple tasks on the same day (like on desktop, where you hit enter from a task that already has a date), and grouping subtasks together more intuitively (i.e., checking the parent task gets rid of all subtasks, all have the same date as the parent task by default).

  28. Alex Cull-avatar

    Alex Cull

This is an amazing app. I use it everyday. Why one star? Because Google Assistant doesn't have support... And it is the one piece of my 100% Nest/Google Smart Home that drives me up a wall. Reminders and tasks have different purposes, and I wish my Google Assistant (literally) understood that.

  29. Keenan Browe-avatar

    Keenan Browe

A nice, simple enough To Do List app that still gives you decent options for organizing and sorting through your obligations. Feels and operates how you expect a Google product will. Not a project management tool, in that it wouldn't be great at tracking your progress on things, but you could just enter a description for yourself in each task that says, 'When this is done, make a new Task for [next step]'.

  30. Jonathan Coakley-avatar

    Jonathan Coakley

It's a great idea to have tasks separate from everything else to help keep from other distractions. I put the widget on my home screen on my phone so I see it every time I unlock my phone. However I think there needs to be a few improvements. I need dark mode on that widget, and a slider to configure transparency of the background of the widget so that it integrates with my background image. I would also like to see better integration with Google calendar. Like with recurring reminders.

  31. John Stinson-avatar

I just switched from Toodledo as the new Toodledo owners seem to be disorganised and struggling. I was concerned that Google Tasks is too essential and it wouldn't have enough features. (Priority, Tags, Location, Specialized recurring dates (every 2nd month etc.). But I've found by using multiple lists and the "Full Screen for Google Tasks" extension, I have been able to make it work. And since I mainly use it to keep myself organised, Toodledo was overkill. I love the integration with Gmail and Calendar.

  32. Natasha Kettlewell-avatar

    Natasha Kettlewell

Great start. Good interface, intuitive design. Would love a few features: 1. Option to view all tasks from different lists in one location/page. Ability to order via date. Maybe a page for 'today', 'this week' etc. 2. Further integration with Google calendar - option to view tasks with a time can be viewed on calendar schedule - like an 'event' or under an event 3. Heading/sections in lists to seperate tasks

  33. Randy Steel-avatar

    Randy Steel

What I would expect. Better than Outlook which does NOT support a task list on the Outlook mobile app! (Dumb dumb dumb) Plus.... you can access your Google email, contacts, task list, AND calendar, from any computer you log into. Including all Googme apps like photos, files, videos, etc. Can't beat that!

I love that I can integrate my Google Reminders and Google Tasks with my Google Calendar! That's critical! So bravo to Google for that! But I don't like (1) that I can't alphabetically sort my Task lists, (2) that my mobile Google Calendar doesn't show Tasks at all (yes, there's a mobile Google Tasks app, but being able to see Reminders and Tasks in my mobile Calendar is critical for good productivity). Fix these two BIG issues and I will upgrade my rating from 3 to 5. Just say'n.

  35. Jessica Fraser-avatar

This app is super simple and quick to use. It has the option to add more details about tasks and set a time and date for them to be completed by. You can also create separate lists and create sublists within tasks. Overall a great app that does all I need it to!

  36. Terrence Newman-avatar

    Terrence Newman

Fairly simple and straightforward. Screen doesn't rotate on my tablet from portrait to landscape when I use a keyboard with my tablet. App remains in portrait mode, meaning it's appearance is sideways as I type. Not the end of the world, but less then first class for Google.

  37. Caleb Thomas-avatar

    Caleb Thomas

The biggest thing missing is collaborators. After that, one more level of subtasks would be fantastic. An equally nice option would be to have repeating tasks that are able to have subtasks. Everything that is in the app already pretty much hits on exactly what you would want in a checklist app

  38. Mariesa Dale-avatar

    Mariesa Dale

Tasks doesn't just mean stuff a user needs to do. It has a lot of other contexts as well - lists of items to remember for later, things to take when packing for a trip, places to visit, things to research, grocery items that need to be remembered. Consider these use cases please rather than the myopic one you currently do and please update features and language.

App Version: Specifically the widget. I recommend adding the *option* to have the widget as "view only" so that you can view tasks but not accidentally check them off as you swipe through the screens of your phone. Desktop Version: Allow the Gmail Tasks bar to expand to fill more than 20% of the screen. A lot more. Like half. Or the whole thing. Either that or bring back the full screen tasks.

  40. Randy Dunster-avatar

    Randy Dunster

I can create lists for everything, set reoccurring tasks and set reminders and due dates on certain tasks. I can move items from one task list to another to group similar tasks. I love that I can pull a task out of the completed task list to save time rather than create a new identical task. Very well thought out and simple to use. Overall this is my favorite task list app ever!

  41. april bidwell-avatar

    april bidwell

I'd give it a 5 if I could only have one thing. The ability to make a couple basic lists. That'd be BEYOND PERFECT (hint-hint). I love the ease of creating tasks, and then further defining the task is great! As easy to use as it was to learn to use. Highly recommend this app to anyone looking for a super simple list maker/organizer.

  42. Rajiv Kothari-avatar

Has potential to be improved greatly by adding collaboration features. Specifically, need to add ability to assign a team to a task list, assign a specific task to one of the team members with ability by assigned owner to update status, send auto generated reports on task list to team members etc.

  43. Fleep Chelly-avatar

Can't change starting day of the week. Can't change list order. In sort by date mode: Please make the subtasks graphical, enable reordering, move the repeating icon next to the task and show time. Some repeating tasks disappear and some (?) appear again, they're not in Completed. Please make it so the order of repeating non-timed tasks (when finished and appearing again) doesn't change. Please add a today and timed section, one for all lists, and an option to make the notifications sticky.

  44. Carlton Cameron-avatar

    Carlton Cameron

Just started looking at the app really. It's a little unclear on list title and to listing the tasks for that title. Also maybe I just need to play around a bit more but it doesn't seem to have a bulletin or enter key for the next task to go down. It could be because I'm in details for the task but even so details I should be able to jot points down?

  45. Harvey Andruss-avatar

Works. Great integration with Goggle Calendar on web app, but really needs it here. 5 stars when that happens. Why important? Time blocking. Put an event that spans 2 hours in your Calendar, drag your Tasks over that event. Different colors. So easy conceptually.

  46. Paddy Maltap-avatar

    Paddy Maltap

Reliable list manager which synchronises easily with other family members, so we can all see what's needed to be done(packing lists for holidays etc.). Could do with an easier date "to do by" section and sorting of lists could be more expansive, such as alphabetically, by date needed and by date added. Other than that, great app

Good app. Requesting few improvements 1. User should able to move task from one list to another 2. User should able to duplicate his selected tasks in other lists then he can able to change different target dates for them 3. In task details user should able to attach images, audio or video 4. List can have sub list 5. User should able to assign the task to other user. Thanks if these features are included in this app.

I think it was 'calendar' first that infused in me an idea to track down my reminders and pending tasks periodically and since I have started using Tasks, the same experience-to-change has further ignited and enriched to a certain extent. I think that People should not only see dates in calendars but they must put themselves to various rigorous imprisonment to subdue criminal activities n behaviour. There may have been missed opportunities earlier but the clock pendulum is finally oscillating.

  49. Parth Kamdar-avatar

Web app has integration with calendar and gmail whereas android app is just a basic tasks only version. Why would there be no interaction between gmail app, calendar app and tasks app on the phone as well? Google always talks of making things simpler, why would you miss out of these things for mobile app then? The sub tasks such have a nested view, its quite confusing as there is no nested view. Also there should be a a button to set priority level for task.

So I want to store using Google Calendar and Tasks. I would give this five stars if there was a way to view tasks in Calendar. I've tried looking up ways on the internet to perform this but nothing is working. I have both apps, but they don't appear to sync.

  51. Gabrielle Asgarian-avatar

Very user friendly! It would be cool to have other options like a grid-style to do list (for example I have the same ten tasks with respect to seven different students, so it would be cool to have a grid of task v student and be able to fill in the grid as I complete the tasks rather than making separate pages for a task list per student)

  52. Kam Desai-avatar

Can't function at work without this app. The Gmail integration is amazing as you can create tasks straight from an email and later click to see the associated email with the task. I wish the add to tasks button wasn't buried in a weird menu and it was an actual prominent button like spam or archive.

  53. Sattya-avatar

I like its simplicity, fast loading and integration to google platform and calendar. What i miss: >Tags (highest priority) >shortcut key to notification bar >Attachment option. Hope will google can take care. I don't want to download another app for the overlapping services.

My favourite featues: It's simple, intuitive, you can create subtasks, export to Google Keep, multiple lists, and arrange by date or custom. You can even mark emails in Gmail as a task (love that feature). I've tried many to do apps and this one just works great!

  55. Jen Seret-avatar

Integrates seamlessly with Google Calendar. I wish I could see my tasks in one list on the given day instead of having to open each list separately. Otherwise, I find this app far superior to all the other free apps built to sync with Google Tasks.

  56. Kirsten Malin-avatar

    Kirsten Malin

I wish that it would rotate to landscape mode. If I set a task for every 3 weeks, but I don't mark it done the day it's due, the next instance is on the wrong week. I'd like it to be every X weeks starting from the start date, regardless of when I mark it done. Recurring tasks disappear when I check them off. They only show up when they notify me the next time. When a task is done, I want to see the next instance with the next due date so that I can plan ahead. I like the interface and subtasks.

Useful productivity app to keep track of tasks. Options are VERY simple and easy to use but not limited. One possible feature that I would like to see is maybe a calendar view or the ability to sync with Google calendar. Great to do list.

Dramatically better than all the previous pitiful task options google offered in the past, so great job, but lack of widget themes and options makes it bad. One of the obvious things to put on a home screen is a task list and the current one is terribly basic and ugly, doesn't even shift the color scheme to dark if the app is set to dark. Google really continues to astound with incompetence when having basically unlimited engineers and resources cant compete on app features and substance when cometing against apps from 1-3 man foreign coding shops essentially working out of holes in the wall....

I always wanted a reminder for my tasks and this app is perfect for this job. I get to choose the date and time for reminder as well. Or if it is a repeated task, I get to choose it's occurance ( weekly or daily). Since this is based on internet, I can view my list anywhere by just logging into my gmail account. However, I feel this would be even better if this app is synced with Calendar. All in all, this is a very useful app. It is advised to use it and then judge it.

Minimal, clean UI, Syncs well with Gsuite of products especially calendar and Gmail. Well done. Feature requests: - Subtasks should only be visible inside the main task - Dont allow to complete parent task untill all subtasks are done - Add images and other rich info into the task for context - Specify time duration for each task. (Similar to a calendar invite - Allow to plan time estimate) - Recurring tasks should be visible in advance (option to hide if needed)

Luv my google apps. I think they make great apps. Can't get away from them...luv them! Luv my google tasks..does exactly what it says. I don't know what I'd do without it!! Saves me a lot of memory that I don't have...they are the best!!

Very easy to schedule a lot of things with due dates. Keeps everything in a list that is easy to keep track of, and it tells you what is due or happening today and tomorrow as well. Not everything needs dates, either; it is also good for keeping lists of other things without dates and checking them off when completed. I find it much easier to write my homework in this app and keep track of it instead of relying on an easy-to-lose planner.

I love this, I just wish I could could designate different colors to my lists, like the different calendars. That way I can distinguish between different task lists when they're spread across my monyhly calendar. I would love to make one for my budget, school, home tasks, etc... and not have them all look the same on my calendar, since due dates are applied to many of my tasks. Hope Google hears this!!! This change would earn my five stars, but for now it remains a four.

Pretty easy to use once you start trying to use it and figuring out all the settings. Love the fact that I can set recurring todos, do them, and they disappear until the next day they are scheduled to. Helps me manage the stress of having an incredibly long to do list always staring me in the face and minimize the amount of overhead for managing the Todo list. Also love that I can view the Todo list in a browser on my laptop or on another device I have the app installed on. Solid app.

Great for organizing tasks, syncing between devices is great too. Only reason I give it a 4/5 is because the desktop webpage has been removed and only accessible from a sidebar on other Google apps (or through separate chrome add-ons), and that it's not possible to nest sub-tasks within other sub-tasks. These two things would complete this app.

Nice interface and very simple to use. Integration with google calendar is very convenient. It would be great to have an hourly within time window option such as "Every hour from 9 to 5" for reminders I need during the work day.

What a poor excuse of an application to track tasks. Recurring tasks don't show in app once you have completed on a particular task date, yet show if go to a pc and access calendar via browser. Why no integration in calendar on mobile or showing date of next task for recurring tasks in app. Come on Google as 3rd party products perform better than this.

I use this app daily within Gmail and it's become my favorite planner. Easy to use, effective. It's not perfect, which is why no 5-star rating as it is difficult to align text as I like it within a task. That said, it is still very helpful. I also like I have it on both a desktop and my phone. B+ grade. 4 stars.

Pretty great option that is cloud based and trans-device interoperability. It could improve by building in end dates for repeat tasks like daily tasks. Tasks should be searchable as well. It should be easier to get Google to make a nee task via voice command.

I'll use it but.... As everyone will point out, task view in mobile calendar is still not supported. Tasks with subtasks can't be repeated. Tasks with subtasks can't be collapsed. And the killer, tasks can't be shared or assigned to others and the progress tracked.

The best thing is that it is the part of Google, so everything syncs automatically and some other similar benefits I get. The worst part... After creating a few lists and putting my tasks into each of them, I was not able to reorder them according to my preference and later I had to do it all again. I suggest you to check other to-do apps and learn from them. It is a very basic issue and I wasn't expecting it. Kindly resolve the problem and I will change my rating/reviews. Waiting for the reply!

Pretty good list to remind you what you need to do every day. But it needs a lot of work such as connect to Google calendar and google time. May be connect to other apps so that this app could do more then just add lists.

So far so good... a pop-up asked for a review within 6 minutes of install, hence 4 stars. Simple to get started and my expectations are low- I think I want a lot of functionality but the other productivity-type apps I've downloaded recently remain unused. So, compared to the s**tshow I had going on 10 minutes ago, this is good.

I'm very happy with this app. I use it on my phone and desktop daily to keep me organized. I really appreciate how it syncs easily and quickly on either device. I keep it open as an integrated feature in my Google calendar since it conveniently shows each task on the day/time I choose. I also sort my tasks by lists/projects. The improvement I would recommend is being able to color-code each list so that I could clearly see that on my calendar view.

This app is really easy to use. My one real negative is that's it's not quite as easy to share lists with other people. Also I don't think seeing the number of things is useful for me but I can understand it. I mean if I use this app continually I'll have thousands of completed tasks and that number will just stay there showing me I've got 2,364 completed tasks. Not useful.

I thought that it was a good start, but it lacks things that other apps already have, like putting it in a timeline format or just visualizing your schedule. (Googlr calendar does this, but its too much things for me). Also, it wont let me move the tasks, and if i change the order via sorting, it hides the subtasks

Good but not very The program is simple, but not convenient in everything. There is not enough transition to the program by clicking on the list name on the widget. The program does not recognize the entered phone number, so later to call it after pressing. And some other.

Very helpful app for keeping track of tasks and to-do items large and small, near-term and far. Would be improved greatly with the ability to re-order task lists in the same way that tasks can be re-ordered within lists.

Fairly simplistic, more features would be nice but it gets the job done and has good integration with other google apps. Its nice and very polished, but due to limited features, I'd only recommend for people already immersed into the google ecosystem.

Tasks has significantly increased my ability to stay organized and on task. I am a big fan of how Tasks integrates with my calendar. I need to figure out how to make the reminders easier to use though. There is not a function in the app to drive me to check it beyond the notification based on time and date. This is the best app I've used for task tracking so far.

This is a very well put together app. I have been using the widget on my homescreen and quite enjoy it. You can check off items right on the widget, scroll your list, add items and switch lists without needing to go into the app (read: a lot less gestures and taps.).

It's great to have Tasks synced across devices and calendar. Clean and easy GUI. App works well. Docked a star because subtasks just show up as normal tasks; they should stay under the top task and have an indent or something to show that they are subtasks.

Redundant to Google Keep. Either eliminate or integrate it. Doesn't make much sense. Google Keep can do much more. You can collaborate or assign tasks, embed pics and recordings, set reminders based on either date & time or location. This app only has the ability for subtasks and is a little more integrated into Google Calendar and Assistant. It feels like it is missing elements that could be fulfilled with combining Keep.

Really simple and well designed! On Android this is the best way to do quick task reminders. Also, I really love the Gmail and Calendar integration that allows you to quickly create a task from either of those two apps. It's not quite as effective on iOS due to the way notifications are setup and not being able to set it as your default app for tasks/reminders.

  89. Chiizuu--avatar

I'd give it a 5 star but when I'm on the computer, I have to access Gmail in order to get to Tasks, it would be really convenient and time-saving if you did the same with Keep and I wish that you could minimize your sub tasks just to keep things clean

The lack of intergration with other Google services (like Google Calendar and Google Assistant) make this an extremely hard app to recomend for anyone tied into the ecosystem. While the Gmail app (on desktop at least) integrates this somewhat adequately the lack of ties elsewhere to Google software really let's this app down.

Hey Google, be more like Wunderlist. You're lacking in some serious to-do list functionality. I've had to migrate to Microsoft because of it. Seriously, how are you going to monetize my todos if I won't tell you all the things I need to purchase, repair, wish I had?

Very good Task App. Sync through devices is awesome. Tasks can be scheduled (once or repeating), saved offline, subtasks, descriptions, great integration with Gmail. You can create tasks from emails and access the email directly from such task. And so on. The web version could be like keep with cards. We could toggle between side bar and dashboard view.

Like with a lot of these FREE google utility apps it is not as feature packed as large todo apps and systems but I think that Google doea a good job at selecting and implementing the essentials slowly. At the same time the integration with the rest of the G suite has been AMAZING, especially with the calendar. If I had to ask for a feature in tasks it would be the ability to see tasks from all lists in the same view so that I don't have to switch back and forth to know whatsup. Good job so far

Great UI/UX (one of the best at Google), minimalist, quick & easy to use, works with gmail & gcal. Only problems are that it doesn't work with Keep, subtasks don't work right with dates & unnecessarily limited to one level, etc, but other than the integration & subtask issues, the rest are not important. But please make the list drop-down come off the displayed name at the top. Others also keep tapping the list name and get nothing. About the only non-intuitive aspects of the UX.

Awesome productivity app. I shifted from keep to tasks as this was rolled out later. It's a better To-Do app compared to others. Few improvement points: 1. Tasks to set based on priorities (bonus- priority based color coding) 2. Allow collaboration mode as provided in keep. 3. Options to view all list under one page(good to have as sometimes I miss to check tasks for less important list)

A pretty minimalistic app that gets the job done. The only setback that I feel is bothering is about the sub-task. If a sub-task is added to a main one, the subtask is created as a new task in the list but does not hang around with the main task. However, when the main task is opened the sub-task is seen under the main task creating a chaos in the list view.

  98. Kevin Govan-avatar

TL;DR: Super basic, mostly useless for advanced planning of real world to-do list. Wish it was better because Google ecosystem sync is nice. No control of reminder times like in calendar. Can't use subtasks & repeat top-level task at same time. Can't add repeat back to a task after removing it, it's stuck showing a crossed out repeat. Can't add subtask to task after removing repeat and vice versa. No sorting by date. No priority assignment. No dates or reminders assigned for subtasks.

I think this app has a lot of potential. I like how it is integrated in the suite, but am a little annoyed with how hard it is to find on the desktop (web portal) version and that it is only in the side pane. Why not have it as a stand-alone app from the google menu. It would make organizing and managing task so much easier.

I do like the app it helps me a lot but one thing I think you guys should implement is having your Google calendar app and your Google tasks app to be integrated with one another that way when I create tasks they will pop up on my calendar as of right now I do not know how to do that or if it's possible.
