Was good, until it lost my rifle and cartridge data. Like Trapper John said in his review, this app was the place he keep his load data and now it's gone. I gave it another try and it lost my new data the very next time I used it. It was unusable when I needed to on the first day of deer season. It needs some kind of cloud save or sync please.

It was good until my data disappeared. I had multiple setups logged and tested. All of that customized data was erased and lost at some point. Stupidly, I did not keep backup records outside the app so will have to spend multiple range sessions to recreate everything. Will likely look for another app to do so.

  3. Jeffery Hansen-avatar

    Jeffery Hansen

Downloaded it to try it out, it immediately wanted permissions to access media and photos. Cannot operate without it says. A calculator is to solve math equations and has no need for media and photos. Bye.

Excellent app. Enter the correct information and this app will put you on target. Boris has always answered my questions promptly & thoroughly. Like anything the more you use it and practice the better it can predict your trajectory. Scope height, chronograph Muzzle Velocity, G7 B.C. or as close as possible, weather for zero and weather each time engaging target if it is changing, reading wind, (tuff part), powder temp and temp stability, barrel twist and twist direction etc. Then do your part.

  5. Benmarine Marine-avatar

    Benmarine Marine

Used this for years not plenty accurate for most practical applications with standard crtrages such as 308win out to 800 meters very user friendly

  6. Dan Kless-avatar

Amazing app. Easy and quick to switch between multiple rifles, and multiple bullets per rifle. Quick and easy tables to use. Can't believe it's free.

Update: Programmer responded with a quick "fix". I figured out how to back up data in case of another software issue! GTG. (Earlier: I really like the program but for the last four months, every few weeks or so all my cartridge data is erased.-- meaning time consumed in gathering data is wasted. I remove the app and then download it again and re-enter all my data ..and I haven't figured out the pattern of when the wipe will happen. I can't trust the app so I am removing it for the last time.)

still the best (free) ballistic calculator I've found to date. I've used Strelok for years without issue and am a pretty heavy reloader of my own ammo. Strelok provides great ballistic info, flight times and bullet drop data. Ive never compared the listed data to a chrony but it's always worked in a pinch or when shooting. I recommend this app or even the pay version.

When I got into long range shooting I downloaded the free version of this app. I did everything in my power to input every parameter correctly velocity checked with chronograph temperature laser rangefinder verified zero distance constantly updated temperature. I was rewarded with my seventh shot hitting a clay pidgeon the first time I shot my rifle at 1k yd. I was on at 1k on my first shot. This is good.

  10. Walter Ballard-avatar

This is an excellent application. I lived in the dark ages where everything was hours of studying tables, wind calls were SWAG, and laser range finders belonged to George Jetson. Now, almost any 'average joe' with a decent weapon and optics should be capable of making shots once only attained by expert marksmen. And it is FREE. The free version only shows sight pictures as determined set at highest power. If that is an issue, spend a few bucks and upgrade to the Pro.
