Nice app but the commands like "new line' or "period" are not executed and instead printed as dictation

It's simple. It uses Google's great text to speech engine and has a customizable dictionary. And, as gravy, it leaves the keyboard on so you can make quick corrections without turning off speech recognition. While it seems like any dictation/speech to text app used by its developers regularly would include these features, this is the only one that does. Bravo. My only complaint is that I can't pay for an ad-free version.

  3. Thomas Corn-avatar

This app is very buggy and unstable. It does not have any auto save on a timed interval and instead on exit. The app will crash after you dictated to it for too long, and then you will lose all your unsaved work. Chances are, you will not be stopping talking to manually save your work, so it is likely that you will lose all your progress in a note. I would not recommend.

It seemed to pick up the majority of my speech, though I think it needs to have a separate English choice for Southern slang and accents. This software is superior to the pre-loaded Android app in this. But everything I dictate is presented to me in triplicate, making it useless. Even then, I expected it to operate by overriding the keyboard's mic button, so I could dictate without copy and pasting. That makes it too clunky to be useful even if it didn't multiply my what I say.

Absolutely awesome! Both the Android app and the PC browser version work Wonderful! Excellent! The best I have ever seen. I would highly recommend this to anyone. You can very easily copy all of your Speach-To-Text to anywhere on the web, Android, or your PC. It is a Flawless Gem!

Recording worked once in twelve attempts. In all other uses, it recorded only random words or suddenly stopped recording all together. It often missed gaps of ten to fifteen words at a time, or just sat, active but not recording for five minutes worth of talking. When text was written down, it did not save and I lost fifteen minutes wor th of work. To give you an idea of voice recognition technology, I am a teacher, speaking English, and the failures were this bad. I would not recommend this app to anyone.

It doesn't distinguish what is actually being said. It puts in random words, skips in and out of recording your voice. Horrible app don't bother. I got the paid for version thinking it would make a difference, no such luck. Just don't bother if you want to record longer than one sentence because it won't work very well.

really good speedh recognition! we are using this app on our phones to talk to my hard of hearing dad. one suggestion - clearing the page to start a new note should be made easier. the back arrow at the bottom right is too close to the ad button.

This App is cool and a Time saver in theory yet I am experiencing dropped recordings and lost work. Anything in settings that can help me .o think I tried everything. I love the email feature as I talk in all my notes and email them to myself but I'm wasting time..is there an update? Fix the kinks Boys!!!

A speech texter app is supposed to be hands free. You must tap screen to start voice recognition, tap again to send (there are No voice commands), tap to select app to use for sending, tap to choose recipients, tap to execute sending. That's NOT HANDS FREE.
