Solar System Explorer will take you on an interactive 3D trip through our solar system. Featuring more than 35 planets, moons, asteroids and space probes that have visited them, you'll have a chance to see a different side of our little piece of the galaxy! Surface images of the planets have been re-constructed from photos taken by telescopes or NASA spacecraft. Because few probes have been to the outer solar system, a number of moons have only been photographed from one side, so the missing details have been estimated based on what is visible. Orbital positions and speeds have been adjusted to make it easier to navigate the Solar System and see the planetary motion at human speeds. Interesting facts about each of the places you visit in the solar system are available at the touch of a button. Statistics are calculated relative to the Earth where ever possible because for most people, big numbers mean little. This lite version of Solar System Explorer features standard textures suitable for tablets or phones. For the ultimate experience, try the full version of Solar System Explorer, which includes HD textures additional special effects, and more spacecraft to view, updated graphics, and loads more information. There may only officially be eight planets now, but because Pluto is larger than 200KM in radius, it is included for your viewing pleasure. Planets, moons and asteroids: Sol/The Sun Venus Earth: Luna/the Moon Mars: Deimos, Phobos Asteroids: Ceres, Vesta Jupiter: Callisto, Europa, Ganymede, Io Saturn: Mimas, Tethys, Enceladus, Dione, Rhea, Titan, Iapetus Uranus: Miranda, Umbriel, Ariel, Oberon, Titania Neptue: Triton, Proteus Pluto: Charon Spacecraft: NASA Voyager

I've always had a fascination with space exploration. This app takes me there and let's me get a good look around. I've only had it installed for about 15 minutes, but I can tell already that it's going to be one of my all - time favorites.

It is not that interesting . Too much adds. We are only limited to a small part of the massive universe. It is a boring app after visiting every planet, asteroid or satellite. It should hold more interesting facts 'bout entire universe which would make it far more attractive.

Looked interesting until I was presented with an ad that showed a machine gun sniper shooting down people from a rooftop. Horrible. I don't mind an occasional ad, but this was horrific. Certainly not an appropriate ad for this application. Uninstalling.👎

It's truly a wonderful learning tool, bought back alot of lessons I learned in school. Felt like I took a drive and the stars became streetlights on a road into our vast exploration of space and imagination. Thanks for the ride.

Seriously? Santa? I can't see anything because he is in the way. Every time I click a planet it has a wiki thing that won't come off so I can't see the planet. Stupid ads are there.
Ronald Chong
I totally understand why there should be ads but if they pop up every minute you know the app has to go. Uninstalling.

nearly the whole application of the solar system is on point, information on everything in our solar system, now don't read into the advertising game display it's a small 5sec. clip as for the app? gives you visual time laps in position planets & moons, precise positioning, if there's anything better than this then it will be flawless

Appreciate the effort but not as good as expected. Take the case of pluto, it competely denies the laws of conservation on angular momentum, actually pluto's moon is of comparable size to that of pluto, so pluto shouldn't be stationary about the axis of revolution on moon.

Scarce information all pulled from Wikipedia and an absurd amount of hijacking advertisements, noisy videos, upsetting and frustrating, all the time. Really sad. The graphics are okay but it doesn't compensate at all.
Mobile Mobile
Nice graphics, everything else is appalling. Why does this app ask for my location? Why does it want to access to my contacts? Why does it want to manage phone calls? Very suspicious!
