It started off as great, but after some months or so, some glitches such as: 1. My recordings being way off beat to the song and I can't fix it either because it's only until 20ms. 2. Latest glitch was that my voice sounded very glitched and messed up. It didn't even sound like my own voice at all. 3. Song lyrics were sometimes out of sync to the song's beat. Please fix the bugs as this is a great app, but a lot of technical glitches.

Dont get this the wrong way, I have nothing against VIP services in apps, but when the VIP service is near necessary to use said app, we start to have problems. You should, AT THE VERY LEAST, allow users to start and sing solos without having to pay a monthly fee that is more expensive than a premium subscription to Netflix! I don't really know why I'm writing this, since they will never read this, much less change it.

I normally LOVE this app but as other reviews have said the most recent update has made it impossible to record anything. It has made it so distorted it sounds like I'm using a voice disguiser. I have a paid subscription and this is simply not acceptable. I use a Samsung galaxy halo and checked my microphone and speakers to ensure it wasn't my phone, it's not-- its the app. Please fix this!

It would be pretty good if it had at least a limited amount of free songs. It's pretty stupid that you have to sing with complete strangers if you aren't comfortable doing that just to get a song. Or to pay what I think is pretty steep for an app price. There are like 3 songs in my free list that aren't twinkle twinkle little star and the wheels on the bus. 🙄 I understand making the majority cost money but you are making plenty off of ads and the people who actually use the app regularly vip

I like this app a lot. It's fun to do karaoke this way. But ever since the latest update, I can't properly record with my bluetooth headphones. The song skips and stutters the entire time during recording, and my recording sounds choppy and messy as a result. I have tried to record while connected to Wifi or while having strong signal with and without bluetooth headphones on--it only messes up with bluetooth. I haven't had this problem before and would appreciate it if it was fixed.

The people make it fun. I hate the weekly charge, and it's far too expensive. There also needs to be ability to edit a song by clipping the beginning or end if you mess up singing. There also needs to be goals like achievements. And being told "I sounded awesome" on every song regardless of my points isn't helpful to aid in improving my performance. Perhaps unlockable features like an animated avatar that performs the song sung, or earnable props for the stage the avatar sung on, plus lighting.

Highly disgusting app. Initially I was able to sing many songs for the invites I got. Now, after the recent update I'm unable to sing any song. No song gets opened and even if it does there occurs, lots of problems in the recording. The recording gets crumbled, distorted, very noisy, sounds like male voice. I tried the latest update, it seems there is microphone problem with Samsung Note 7 FE on Android 9. The new version on Samsung Note 3 is working prefect. The microphone records my voice, but playback is noisy and horribly distorted to listen to. I tried different headphones, both wired and wireless, but same problem. The same works perfect with other apps, so check and give us a new update, not sure if this problem is specifically related to Samsung 7 series running Android 9. Thank you.

If you are an android user this app is no good for you. They favoured iOS users big time. That means if you buy a VIP as an android user you WON'T be able to save your live jams and you WON'T be able to use cam filters and you WON'T have the same sound studio! Long story short : there's absolutely no reason for you to buy VIP status as an android user. It's a waste of money!!

After updating smule to the latest version, there is major issue recording songs. When I try to record a song, the playback sounds rusty and drags like a stuck gramophone or tape. i used to have this with my iphone 5 a few years back. It was all good (voice quality) byt now that I'm using a Huawei android Nova, my gosh! Like I'm singing under water! The voice no matter what handsfree or headset i use, not as good as those with iPhone. Why? What's more, as a vip user i can't even save my recording unless i upload to FB video first 🙄🙄 this app is really going downhill. Thumbs down.

I loved Smule. I've been using it for years. Was my no.1 favourite app... until last night. After recording a song the playback of my voice sounded so horrible...the distortion made me sound like a demon and I have an angelic voice. I was excited for this app, but after spending some time and money on the Smule app I find the user experience frustrating to say the least. The app is clunky and freezes on multiple occasions. Making the user experience sub par. Which needs to be fixed promptly. I'm also not very keen on how much echo I hear in the headphones while singing, but that's not a big deal. The biggest deal is being able to actually use the app flawlessly every time. Until the bugs are fixed, don't waste your money.

Okay, so since this happened to me multiple times, i felt the need to report this problem. Everytime i update the app, the timing of my recordings doesn't sync with the song. I used to sing in the exact timing, but when i listen back, my voice is either too soon or too late. It doesn't go along with the track as sung. Just doesn't work on this device - For some reason it picks up audio from my earbuds and records it, leaving horrible feedback in final recordings. I've tried this app across several different Android phones with the same earbuds and this happens with half of them. It's just a critical error they need to fix. Also, I've been on this app for two years now and as time passes the greedier they get. I pay a subscription but still get bombarded with ads and requests for more money. Gross.

UI for Android is full of bugs. Once I enter a livejam I can't exit it. Can't change my profile picture. Favoriting a recording does nothing. Sorting songs/recordings by most popular doesn't actually work. At the top of the list are items with 1000 or 200 views, and you scroll down and find items with 7,000. Sorting means nothing. On top of everything, $9.99 a WEEK? Way too expensive.

It's a fun app but definitely not worth a whole ten dollars for the VIP package considering the app is literally ALWAYS crashing. It also favors apple users so if you're on Android, you won't see all of the same features as you would on Apple. Overall I will not be renewing my subscription but I will still have fun on the free version of the app.

Dear Team, I have been using the premium version for quite a few months and it was all fine.. However for past two days I am facing issues, as in the vocal is not matching with he music and I when checked the vocal match had option in nano seconds which was working perfect but it now has only till 20milli seconds which is still not okay... Am a decent singer and can match the vocals and music better but this is now an issue for me.. Pls advise asap else I have to cancel subscription..

A good app... But a few more features to make it better! Developers, please add a pitch control and tempo control setting.... Sometimes it is difficult to match the pitch. A few other karaoke apps have it. When you are having a subscription based model, and your app is probably the best, I think these features should not be difficult to add. Many will switch to apps like starmaker otherwise.

I'm so disappointed, I've been really loving smule and have been singing with the app for months on paid subscription, and since moving to an updated Android device I've had multiple issues. Songs no playing at all...unable to record as it will not start. Bad sound when using Bluetooth speakers and its just not the same experience. Its more disappointing because of the timing, when we really need music to lift spirits! I can't afford the VIP apple version, however it works perfectly on my ipad!

I am a long-time VIP and I think Smule would be better if: 1️⃣ The app features/functions on Android can be as GREAT as the ones on iOS. I have played Smule on both, turned out that I lost multiple great functions I used to have on iOS when switching to Android. For instance, the flag feature 🚩that I found really useful! Also, when I playback my records, the speed of my voice tend to be delayed most of the times eventhough I sang really well-synchronize with the music. 2️⃣ Price is too costly

When I first started back in October it was amazing. I went from no followers to 400. I took a break for a couple weeks. Came back on and now no matter what I do I sound like a robot.. or like I'm in the Grand Canyon with an echo. Thought it was my phone or my headset so I got a new headset. Tried it on my son's phone. So... The android experience on here is veeery... Let's just say mediocre. Back when I used this on an apple device, it was nice and smooth. But now, one my of main problems is that when I hear the echo of my voice while recording, it's incredibly delayed. I used to listen while I sang to detect voice cracks or mistakes, but now it has to be muted, and I must have one earbud out. Also, you can't rewind to certain parts of a song mid-recording like on apple stuff. Bluetooth is glitch-addled too.

The app was working just fine for me until yesterday. I tried recording a song and when I played it before saving it my mic acted up. I tried recording myself using other apps and I sounded fine, so there must be something wrong with your app. You can hear my voice in the background of the recording, but over my voice is an awful sound that covers up my voice. On Android, currently am using Note 10+ .. the recording doesn't sync with the music at all, no matter what you do trying delaying and speed it up in edeting. As others also pointed out that we can't re-sing portion of the song as we used to do on IOS devices. Its ridiculous that we need to re-sing the whole thing all over when we just missed up the very final part of the song.

I loved this app but now I am so disappointed. Its VIP Subscription is not renewing by my phone number as it used to. I was anyhow paying more than everyone else because I subscribe through phone. It's Rs 300/- for one month. My Visa card is not acceptable for subscribing, no other mode worked other than the Vodafone billing. Sheer disappointment this month that it is not working. On 4/29 there was some update that makes you sound like a robot demon. Now it's 4/30... No acknowledgment from smule, but not all users have the problem, so it seems like they aren't even worried about it... I loved this app back when I was using an iPhone with the function of bookmarking spots so we can go back to the checkmarks to redo that part. I was sad to see that after coming back to Smule using an Android, that that function wasn't available for us. It would also be nice if we were able to download recordings.

I am using the version 7.1.3. I logged out of my account for using the app with another account, though my previous account from which i logged out was created by my phone number. The problem is when i am trying to login my previous account there are only 3 account creation options, including facebook, google accounts, and email,. But there is no account option related to phone number now. I want to know what is the solution to this. Otherwise the app is fantabulous. Thankyou.

A fun community of singers and lots of songs and genres are represented. The "sing with the artist" features can be fun. Since the tracks are all user provided there is the occasional poor quality instrumental, especially if you're looking for a kind of obscure song.

In order to really have the full experience you have to purchase it... You have to duet all the time! Unless you get your credit card out to buy!.. Not fun nor affordable.. I dont nor want to spend money every month to sing one to 4 songs solo!. Thanks but no thanks.

The new version is slightly better in terms of bug (fail to save collab and sometimes closes song while singing).The register option seems to be missing? Only login options were available. The user wallpaper seem to not detect other 3rd party app and only the default version?Would be better if there were a logout button and the possibility of rewinding parts with certain duration

My favorite feature of the app used to be the tune bars that would help you to quickly know if you were singing off key. Even if they weren't available in most songs. Lately, those are being REMOVED even from songs that used to have them before, why would they do that?

Poor interface user experience on Android. I wanted to utilise App to sing during the lockdown. Was willing to pay full subscription fee yet the app is unintuitive, disappointing. Please improve for all customers so everyone can enjoy a great experience. More development for a better UX would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Stopped working. I've had this app for years, and for the last few months it hasn't worked. I have the latest version of the app, I have contacted the developers and sent a video of me opening the app, selecting a sing, it loads to the start of the song but then freezes. Nothing happens. They have not come back to me.

My singer dreams come true through this app. If I like to sing any song which is easy to sing . Very great app. I am getting more comfortable and confident through this app. Also I need to update my timings. If I sing today it shows 7 days before. Pls I need correction about this. The whole app itself works pretty good however this recent update made my video lag way behind from the audio. I'm using the Google Pixel 3 with the headphones that it came with that plugs into the USB-C port. Only reviewing because of this issue and I hope it gets fixed pretty soon because I love using this app.once it's fixed I will leave a higher rated review.

Hi, I do have serious problems in Smule recognising usb-c microphones on a new Samsung S20 plus. I have tried different mics and reinstalled Smule, still same problems. It works for while then drops connection. Again will work if I restart thr phone but only for a short while. There are no prblems with other applications, it is smule specific, please make it tight

I have been using the paid VIP version for more than a year, this app dosent allow to download the songs we sing... But atleast it could be postes on facebook videos...with the recent update they have stopped it too... Now only a link is posted and people have to go to smule webpage to hear the song. This is disappointing if you are planting such restrictions on the users then better we switch on to some other apps like starmaker..which wven allows to download the songs. Very Bad feeling cheated

This app is great. I wish I could afford it for every week, but I want to save some money, so I will resubscribe when I feel like karaoke! I would suggest a "Voice Lessons" section, where you can concentrate on getting a certain pitch and volume, without creating a whole song.

It's taking so much time for you guys to figure out and roll out an update. All other karaoke apps like eg star maker is working fine with the new type c earphones of galaxy s20 you know. I'm quite disappointed... it was working totally fine for the past several months... and then randomly today... it will let you listen to a song and then when you to actually sing the song with the duet partner it wont let you sing with them... I have been using this app since 2012 and i didn't find a single prblm with this App I'm really having fun by using it. Bt frm last 2mnths I'm facing the prblm after i sing the song when it comes for uploading its taking too much of Time i dnt understand Y this is causing really a big issue in uploading. It's writn uploading can show bst and fst results in strong wifi/internet conditions and my wifi and Intrnt is very much strng, but still its causing issue. Pls fix it and i want a quick action.

In 10 plus mobile I couldn't record songs. Smule should solve this issue. My subscription fees waste and Eagarly I purchased my mobile Note 10 plus, but due to not supporting this app/some issues occurring I really upset. Now I forget my singing styles I lost my beautiful polished voice because of Smule Software side problem with the note 10 plus Samsung mobile.

I think, Smule only have concern to Apple users, Not for Android users,Coz it was Working fine, when its was Released,But after the update around year 2018, The Recorded songs are not landing in properly,its seems all perfect while Recording but after Recording Its not in proper, its all happen coz of the app update, In iphones its working fine till now, but for Apk its finished, Now am not using smule in Android, but its sad about dat,I googled, so many of Apk users face issue, & no Solution

Its fun and all, but apple users have a way easier and more fun experience, especailly during collabs because they can: skip through the songs to the parts they need to get to and delrte their parts really easily. Android users can't to any of these things and a lot more, also VIP is way too over priced :((

This is the best app for singing songs, but after the update of app, the recording sound is very awful. It records just noise rather than singer's voice. Please fix this issue as you receive this review so that I can take subscription for 1 year.

The app is ok but there seems to be a lag time with some of the music. Be careful i couldn't cancel the subscription from within the app. They sucker you in with one free song after that you have no choice but to subscribe.

To tell the truth smule has been great for the past years,right now it just not working well for me,at first I thought it was my headsets now it getting worse my recording turn out like in a robbot voice so speedy which is so irritating have tried reinstalling it and install it back,,please do something i really love this app

I have problem with the audio right now, my voice sounds awful. I've tried to fix it but i can't,. Sounds like I'm singing inside a tin can. Accompaniment is ok, still the same, the voice is the problem.

Absolutely awful!!! You need VIP to do a ton if stuff, a lot of songs are locked, and there is one HUGE problem: the audio!! The audio is quiet and very low quality when you record your voice. Deleting this app.

Does not work well with Android. After 2 years of subscription, the dev team hasn't responded with any help or fixes for the hundreds of Android users not being able to use the app. Microphone issues, mic not recognized by app, and recording lags..Such a waste of a good app with bad support.

Still no way to log out without completely uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. They have in app events all the time. This app has been around for over 5 years now. It is just LAZY to not implement a way to sign out/login within the app.

Too many error messages to deal with nowadays, after you try to save gives continuous error messages in my 1 phone, i tried to change the phone now it is giving lip movement mismatch, frustrated. Every time clearing cache and data, rebooting but nothing works. 😖

The video/audio gets stuck during the session. Especially when you've had a great session and it does that, it pisses the hell out of you. It breaks the whole point. Hindrance while singing is the only thing you don't want during a session. I hope you fix this bug.

Its good if you're using an apple phone, but if you use an android (S10+ current phone), the voice feedback is delayed. Makes it confusing and hard to sing with the music unlike when I was still using an Iphone.

Doesn't work with Samsung s20+. I am VIP member and just got a new phone. The song doesn't start when you try to record. Once you hit start the song just won't move. Not sure if developers loook at this feedback but I will be cancelling subscription.
