It used to be a cut above the rest of the gay apps, now even basic features are only available to those who pay a rather exorbitant 15 dollars a month. It's Grindr with a global feature. The free aspects of the app have been diminished over time, it's completely unrecognizable from the app it started out as. Updated 10/5/2021: I noticed in a recent update that you now have to be a paid user to appear in the global section. Dropped from 2 to 1 stars.

Great for escorts. I've literally had guys, on multiple occasions, say "I'm an escort". You report them and nothing happens. Same profile still there with the message still there. There's no adequate response to this review cause it couldn't be clearer the guy is an escort — he literally said it. And yet reporting it never does anything at all.

For the last month or so I've been having issues with never receiving notifications for new messages randomly. I'll be actively conversing with someone and then suddenly stop getting notifications. Not always, but often enough that it's frustrating.

Exceptional App... I would consider this the best gay dating app that is live today. I have several, and there is no match. Scruff has beautiful features, is run by professionals, and caters to everyone. I have also recently changed my mind about Scruff Pro. I think it is more than worth it. It sounds like a heavy price tag, but considering how difficult it can be to meet other gay singles in this country, state, city, I would shake the hand of the creator of this app any day. Thank you.

Unfortunately it no longer runs correctly on Chromebook. It used to run okay, not always mirror message with the phone, but now the app on a new Acer Chromebook shuts down each time it launches, even if deleted and reloaded from Google Play.

First, the app won't let you use a photo as your profile pic if it deems it "too sexual". For example, if you are in your underwear..even if you crop that portion out it STILL rejects the photo. I doubt I have to point out the irony that this is a sex app. Second, we can't state that we don't do drugs because the app blocks any words associated. I get not wanting to promote drugs but since you can't even say the word, expect to be asked often if you get high a lot by any people who use drugs.

App can't send messages to save its life and the things they lock you out of becuase you don't pay is disgusting. They even argue that the global list isn't paid only but the app clearly says pro only for appearing in the global list. This company is money hungry and gross!

Good luck getting a good feel for this app before you have to pay for it. Chat history, photos, anything you've shared gets locked down immediately. If you need to reference back to anything it won't happen until you forked over $15. Much better apps available with better trial periods and features that make subscribing worth doing. This app is shooting for compulsive buyers.
