I love the concept of this app! However, I have had some difficulty of placing ppl in the groups. More importantly I have to send to a lot of people at one time & I am LIMITED to a certain amount of characters. All messages are not the same, so i need the ability to send one message instead of two. This is very important for the accuracy of my information being sent out to group. I would appreciate if we could have 500 characters jus like this Rating is allowing for feedback. Thank you very much

  2. Erin E-avatar

app This is a great app! I would have given it 5 stars of there was a way to contact parents in the same way so you don't have to know tons of numbers or give out your own. It could have an opt in option so only parents who want to be contacted would be. Group chat capabilities would be great too so parents could organize things for the teachers like birthday gifts and retirement parties, etc.

  3. C jv-avatar

apk The one thing I have to say is when you post a message to let's say your whole class, you are limited to how long the message is. This is very inconvenient. Many times I need to send a longer message with pertinent details, it would be nice if Remind could make that unlimited like when you message and individual parent. I'm not sure why individual message are unlimited, and group messages are limited.

  4. Nancy Yarberry-avatar

login This is a great way for teachers to quickly remind students and/or parents of items needed or meetings. Our Cheer Coach uses it to remind them of which outfit or items needed for class or events. She also let's us know to check for an email. The Special Ed teacher uses it to remind kids of missing assignments or meetings. Parents get copied on all messages.

  5. Janet Church-avatar

cost It has been very difficult for parents to send me pictures of their child's work papers. They send several and only one comes through. And when I try to go back I keep seeing ads and other pages that I don't know why they're there. I'm putting yes it meets expectations except for this part that I just said.

  6. Janet Schultz-avatar

download I really like this app. I just wish I could have more characters for the announcement posts, but I understand that it has to be limited to remain free for my parents and me. I have used it every day for remote learning and feedback from my parents has been good.

  7. Melissa Godwin-avatar

by remind101 I would like to be able to enter contact name as I see fit, Such as "Suzy's Mom Alice" or "JP's Dad Byron", but there is no way to do that. So I have to access a parent name/student name document when I want to message individual people. Also, there is no way to access phone #s --EVEN THO the app is phone # based! I have to look at my phone # list to call a parent. They only let you use a VERY small number of characters. I wld pay for upgraded features but it is a NEVER AGAIN for me.

  8. Amber Williams-avatar

I love this app! It has made school to home communication much easier and quicker! It is also easy to use. I only wish I was allowed more words when making a whole class announcement.

  9. Allison Walbridge-avatar

Great way to keep in contact with teachers and staff at school! Can send messages and pictures if needed to your child's teacher. I imagine it's very helpful for mass messages for teachers and other staff! No complaints 😁

This app can be a little frustrating at times. If you want to look up a teacher from your children's school you can't. I'm also sure everyone in the whole class can see what your saying to teacher. I think you should be able to have that option if you want to ask the teacher a question about your child/children you should have that not have everyone in the group see what you are saying.

  11. Rose Santos-avatar

I like how everything is organized, only issue is when you have a teacher with multiple classrooms. The messages mix, but it isn't too bad.

  12. Colleen Messinger-avatar

I love this app.. the communication between my child's teacher and I is amazing.. Especially during this covid stuff, her teacher is able to send me messages so I am up to speed on my child's progress with school.

  13. Simon Anderson-avatar

A very helpful app for appropriate communication with students. Plenty of limitations and bugs, but I'm still pleased for the most part.

  14. P Bright-avatar

I use this with a club I help advise, and it is very helpful. It allows me to communicate with 1 or all of my members easily and reliably.

  15. King Vilme-avatar

Very decent app but there's certain limitations if weren't there would make it better. Limitations on characters in announcements is stupid. Being unable to see people's phone numbers that's you imported earlier is ridiculous because if you lose the number and you want another way of reaching the people you will not be able to. And they need to make the number of participants you can put in a class A lot higher.

  16. F. Sanders-avatar

Great for sending out messages to large groups. I really like see the delivery report immediately. Just needs to be easier to join for those who are not so tech savvy. In addition, I wish it had the capability to save drafts automatically. If you accidentally touch something, everything is gone! Thanks.

  17. Rachel Siegel-avatar

Can't upload videos of routines or plays from a game, only 9 people per conversation (when you don't want to do an announcement), no calendar available to mark events and set reminders, difficult to navigate communication threads when part of many groups, and there is not an easy way to share documents (you have to take a picture and then upload that picture) you can only upload one picture at a time. I have used much better apps but this is the only one approved through the school district.

  18. Star Weaver-avatar

Helpful keeping in touch during traditional School Attendance AND Remote Learning. As parents, my husband & I LOVE this app. Makes keeping in tough with teachers so much simpler.

  19. Jerry D. White-avatar

The app would be useful, but the grouping is not always consistent and it isn't easy to make certain changes. Basically, it needs to be more user-friendly.

  20. matt vargas-avatar

It is nice to use as a basic chat app with your classes, however it is EXTREMELY limited. Videos cannot be shared or uploaded, which to me seems like the very first thing you'd want to have for your class. Announcements, which are how you talk to your whole class, are limited to an extremely small number of characters, voice messages are ridiculously limited to like 15 seconds.

  21. Kathleen Oquendo-avatar

Constantly freezing. Messages do not go through right away. They idle sending for a long period of time. Can not delete conversations.

LOVE this app! It keeps us up-to-date with school assignments, is easy to contact the teachers and simple to use! Definitely an essential app to have if you've got a little one in school. So neat! The only thing I don't like is you cannot use special characters and I believe you can't insert emojis into the messages because I keep getting an error message when I try to. Other than that, it's a great app.

  23. Monica L-avatar

It doesn't notify me consistently, the teacher missed messages from me as well. I know it's not my connection because we have high speed internet at home and data while out. On top of that the app is confusing, unclear, and not user-friendly, and I'm actually good at figuring out new software! I wish our teachers didn't use this app. It makes it tedious to try to contact them and I cringe everytime I have to open this app.

  24. Tina Luvsjerry-avatar

Its amazing. I dont know what we would have done without this app when all the schools closed and we had to start the digital learning for my 1st grader. I am not good with computers so we had alot of problems setting up the distance learning, and because of REMIND, my daughters teachers were all literally a text message away. Would give 100 stars if i could :)

  25. Veronica Benitez-avatar

    Veronica Benitez

This app is good, the only negative that I find is that it has a character limit and I have to send 10 messages to get my message across to parents. Option of taking a picture of a longer message is not an option for me because I need the parents to be able to get the translation to Spanish language and images are not translated. In my case, as many of my coworkers, it is very time consuming to send multiple cut short messages that sometimes don't make sense because of word choice due to limite.

  26. Jennie S-avatar

This app is horrible to set up. When first installed, it wouldn't let me sign up, only log in. But I couldn't log in because I never created a password. I finally just logged in using my Google account even though I didn't want to. This automatically generated my name for me in the app and put my full name as my username. When I changed it in my account settings, it still showed me in my classes with my first name not "Mrs X" as I wanted. I'm going to look for another app to use. This is garbage

  27. Jennifer Laster-avatar

    Jennifer Laster

As a teacher I love this app. I just post the code on my board at the beginning of the school year and ask my students to join the class Remind. It is so simple to use and is great at communicating back and forth with my students and noone knows personal numbers and it documents everything sent back and forth between you and students for safety purposes.

  28. Kendra Shepherd-avatar

    Kendra Shepherd

I miss the old weekly paper notes from teachers, but this app is very easy to use and helps us keep up with what's going on.

  29. Kara Meyers-avatar

Really great way for teachers to communicate with us parents - I'm always up to date with everything going on in my children's classrooms and aware of upcoming due dates and events!

  30. Janet Price-avatar

Great communication tool between you and parents. Except when trying to post needed pictures, I always get the "timeout" que. Really frustrating.

  31. Sarah Michelle Sullivan-avatar

    Sarah Michelle Sullivan

This app is horrible! I have tried countless times to set this app to no avail! As of today, I still have not been able to use this app! The teacher's have tried countless times to send invites and vice versa! Despite my efforts as well as the efforts from the teacher's at school this app has been a complete failure as well as a disappointment! Apps such as these are vital during these uncertain times. Communication is a must for parents & teachers! Its a shame this app is not more reliable!

  32. Caroline Ballou-avatar

    Caroline Ballou

once you input the student phone number, it disappears and you don't have access to it anymore. If you choose to use remind but your students don't, you have to find another way to connect with them. I recommend you maintain a separate list of numbers so you don't run into a problem of not being able to communicate with the students.

  33. Jessica Miller-avatar

Easy to use and teacher response time is not long at all. Would like to see some improvements where you can see your childs classwork, grades, assignments, attendance, notes, class schedules with contact info for each teacher, etc. Basically an educational student profile with all of your childs info, etc. What i described is similar to parentvue but remind could make it way better than parentvue and the current remind app!

  34. A. Wright-avatar

Great way to communicate with students and parents! I love the translate feature. I have a lot of ELL students and families. I am able to create a message, and translate it to their native language to send messages and it is super beneficial..a whole blessing.

  35. CV Play and Grow-avatar

    CV Play and Grow

A great way to stay connected to my classes, provide basic assignments or send links.

  36. Ash T-avatar

This is not helpful it won't allow me to go back and select student. There isn't a back button on the page. I've tried closing the app and reopening but it's stuck on the same page asking me to put in a code for a class when I didn't receive a code, or find a school or start a class. And it's also saying my daughters teacher can't be found but my text messages say that Im signed up and her teacher will be able to communicate with me through the Remind app. Very disappointing.

  37. amanda fuller-avatar

Best school communication app, hands down! My kids have several different teachers, and the teachers use several different apps. This is the easiest to use, and understand. I love that the teachers can message me privately, or the whole class together. They can send photos of what the kids are doing in class, or links to things. I have been using this app for the past 4 years, but with Covid-19 locking down the schools, I have come to realize how amazing this App truly is!

  38. Trinity Ocampo-avatar

I use this for school to contact my teachers, and because of all thats going on my teachers make calls on remind but i never get notifications until it shows that they had called me a few seconds ago. I use my laptop for this and it doesnt show anything i dont own a phone so my laptop is my way to contact teachers and the stupid thing dont work

  39. Christopher Johnston-avatar

    Christopher Johnston

Works well. Good way to communicate with teachers. Sometimes it is slow.

  40. C Pratt-avatar

I absolutely loath how you cannot erase year old messages or classes. It just stays there forever even though its inactive.

  41. Calvin Williamson-avatar

    Calvin Williamson

Love this app. Keeping in touch with my child and her teachers is a plus while being away at work. I recommend every school to use this app. User friendly too

  42. Tsuyu Asui-avatar

Very great for school, but one key problem: If I were a teacher, I would want to delete old groups or messages that aren't wanted. Unfortunately, there is no way to delete messages or groups. It is great, near perfect for school communication, but I just wish there could be a way to remove conversations. Other than that, its a really great app!

  43. Trevor Schoenen-avatar

    Trevor Schoenen

Will not say sent when I send a message, I have to reopen the app to see that. Then I will get messages from my phone messages, but they will not show up in the app. Unfortunately certain people in my life use this, so I have to as well. Just use a darn group text...

  44. Dianne James-avatar

No problems at all. Always got messages and I was always able to send messages

  45. Ivy Myles-avatar

I absolutely love this app! I'm a high school student, and I have quite a few honors/ college classes, and I do lots of extra-curriculars. This app is super helpful for day to day balance as well as communication on competition type trips. This has also been helpful for me, keeping track of my new online courses, since my school has moved online for the remainder of the year.

  46. Amy Quinones-avatar

Very easy and helpful for my child to do work from home and teacher/parent involvement is great.

  47. Jill Damm-avatar

I love Remind and would give it 5 stars if there wasn't a character limit on class announcements.

  48. Marietta Rocha-avatar

I love this app it has been the best way for me to communicate with my childrens teachers along with other messages coming from the office.

  49. Lauren Johnson-avatar

The platform cant decide from one day to the next whether or not it wants to work. I have reached out to support about issues with this app and was pretty much told to screw off... I dont recommend that anyone use this platform for any purpose.

  50. Santonika Sanders-avatar

    Santonika Sanders

I like this app because I can communicate with my students without giving my number out. However, not all notifications push through. I at times don't see a message until after I actually receive one and open the app. That's frustrating because my students work on their online work outside of class and need me to unlock things. I'm also sad that we are limited to 100 members. It would be nice and very beneficial if new messages were pushed to the top so they're seen easily.

  51. Valerie De La Rosa-avatar

    Valerie De La Rosa

I love this app. I've never had any bad experiences with it. This app makes it easy to communicate with teachers, upload photos, and participate in links given. During this time, I'm able to go back, and review what plans needed to be done throughout the day without any problems. Very good app!

  52. Heather Dalton-avatar

Nice, easy way to send announcements in a group. Sadly, the app notifies me I have a new message but for some reason doesn't want to refresh and display the new message. Usually closing out and reopenning helps but today even that didn't work.

  53. Ginny Brewer-Boydston-avatar

    Ginny Brewer-Boydston

I use Remind for spur-of-the-moment communications with my university students. It works perfect in these kind of situations. My only complaint is that part of Remind could be geared toward college and university students. For example, the icons are clearly geared towards primary and secondary education. Unless I haven't figured out how, which could be the case, I would love it if things like the icons could be personalized or have more options that could be for college-level students.

  54. Michelle Jackson Simmons-avatar

    Michelle Jackson Simmons

I have used Remind for several years and it is an awesome way to connect with the families I serve without giving my personal information. I am able to share information in the families primary languauge instantly. During the Corona Virus Pandemic it has become the best tool to update families on where to access food as well as share other pertinent information. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

  55. Amy Redinger-avatar

As a parent, I enjoy being able to use Remind as a way to easily communicate with my child's teacher! Very helpful.

  56. Gail Smith-avatar

Awesome! It always allows me to communicate and stay connected with teachers and the outside world! Have had no problems with the app and have been using it since my son is in kinder who is now in 3rd grade, along with my other littles who are in school. Makes all the information easily managable as everything is sorted out and in one place!

  57. Rebecca Pessa-avatar

I love this app! I am able to connect with all my students at once. I also coach, and Remind makes it easy to contact my athletes and parents with any updates and information in one simple announcement... my team group includes 103 participants! I cannot say enough good things about this app! I don't know how I survived without it before!

  58. Breanna Scroggins-avatar

    Breanna Scroggins

There are a lot of times that a notification from the school district shows, but when I try to see the msg in the app all I get is a blank page. This can be a real problem because weather related cancellations & early release msgs are sent thru that account. Also, would be nice if the app could be saved to my sd card rather than the phone memory.

  59. Pyro Soo-avatar

My experience with this version and the apple version were completely different. When i am typing the last few messages is hiding behind the keyboard. Not only that the app doesn't really send me reliable message notifications, yku can expand but if it's longer than the first line it won't show, it also doesn't show if they're read. Messages don't appear when the notification does. It's a very frustrating experience and I would like it if it were fixed.

  60. Krissy Murray-avatar

This app could be a lot better. If you are in multiple different groups/classes, it doesn't allow you to push text notifications on which ones you want. You either get notifications via text for every single group you're in or none at all. Super annoying as I don't want nor need texts to be pushed through for every group I'm in! When you email tech about this or anything else, they're super unhelpful and won't actually address anything you asked about . Truly wish I didn't have to use this app!

  61. Amber Silverschatz-avatar

I have been using the Remind app for almost three years now . It is great how I can keep up with all of my childrens football/softball/basketball coaches and their teachers all in one place ! The app is easy to navigate and does exactly what it was intended to do . Keep everyone informed , easy access to speak with whoever you need and a great reminder !

  62. Alexander H.-avatar

This app is good at reminding you to do your work. However if you want to turn it in and send a picture of it, Remind just crashes. I spend way too much time trying to send my work than I deserve. Edit: Sending videos and reasonably long voice clips isn't an option.

  63. tarra dow-avatar

Love this app it's the best way to keep in touch with your child's teachers and stay updated with your child's work and homework everyday and if you ever need to speak to one of there teachers right away well with this app there on click away I love it the most because as a busy working mom or three kids one in highschool almost in college and another moving on up to the highschool you know this is that time you need to be on top of everything and anything so they excel.

  64. John Shaul-avatar

I LOVE THIS APP!!!! I'm a youth pastor & we use this as our primary communication with our students. The REMIND platform makes all communication accountable & teachers don't have to worry about students sending inappropriate content to our personal cell phones. Also no more group text/SMS responses "blowing up" my phone. I also appreciate the feature that allows me to set the hours that I'm available/unavailable to my students. Boundaries!!!! Yes!!!!😊😊😊

  65. Adriana Mac-avatar

As a teacher, I love the fact that I can message my parents and staff without the need to go directly to the app. Super reliable and easy tobise.! Only downside is that in my classroom announcements, I can only text certain amount of words.

  66. Novlene Rickaby-avatar

    Novlene Rickaby

Love this app. It's a great way to communicate with my sons teacher and for both of us to stay informed and updated.

  67. Avery Watkins-avatar

I love this ap! It is so easy to stay connect with teachers and is a fabulous tool to remind teachers or parents of all class activities even when there is closures. Its a quick reminder for assignments, etc. Easy install. All parents and teachers should use this!

  68. Amy Rice-avatar

Love this app. Makes communication with my son's teacher very easy. Easy to use and understand. I wish that every teacher would use it!!! UPDATE: Second year using this app. I STILL LOVE IT! Communication is so easy. I'd highly recommend this app to anyone who is part of a large contact group. You are also able to send private messages.

  69. SOGOLy Jafarieh-avatar

    SOGOLy Jafarieh

Perfect for teachers to communicate with their students without having to exchange numbers or information. I use it for announcements and reminders for due dates and tests. Can separate and organize the classes however you like, by subject or period, and message multiple classes or certain students from different classes at once.

  70. mav massey-avatar

Another poorly written app!!! Try and reset your password and the text it sends with a confirmation code do not work. As usual for this type of company there is no support just a web page with a form that does not work. If you registered with a phone number the support form will not allow it. Stay away! I will be contacting our school district on this and recommend dropping the usage of this service!!

  71. Adriana Colon-avatar

Ever since I joined this app to communicate with my children's school as well as their childcare provider it has been such a phenomenal experience. Especially during these times where we are experiencing a quarantine and communication is key to continue educating our children. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I love this app so much.

  72. Jessica Miller-avatar

The character limit makes things very difficult when doing announcements. I would definitely pay more to not have a character limit. But that does not seem to be an option as an individual only as a company or entire school.

  73. Geo Peterson-avatar

I love being able to connect with my sons teacher by sending a simple message without having to call the school and wait for a call back. Remind is so much easyer.

  74. Dawn Korzekwa-avatar

This is a nice app for being able to privately connect with teachers and other parents without having to give your phone number out to everyone. We've been using it for quite a few years. There's a lot of things I wish the app would do differently like with some of the notifications. However it's definitely good enough for 4 Stars.

  75. Beth Bianchini-avatar

Used for school and dance class. It's nice to have messages in the appp so reminders and other communication doesn''t get lost in my email box. If it's a remind message, I know specifically that it is something related to schooling/classes.

  76. Julie Robledo-avatar

Its an incredibly helpful app, however it is incredibly frustrating how slow it is to send messages to teachers. Even with my own personal data, with good connection, it takes really long. I hope they fix this, or the whole purpose of communicating with teachers fast is not happening.

  77. Fred Haemker-avatar

This app is CONSTANTLY glitching. I use it to remind students of assignments, to bring materials and now recently for the work from home due to school closures. Every step of using this app has been a nightmare. Both phone and computers have bugs galore from creating classes to posting announcements for students. I am avidly searching for some other app because this is another headache. I would advise against this app at all costs.

  78. Levi Tronnes-avatar

Great classroom tool especially during distance learning...however, I feel it is just limited that during this time of COVID-19 and the challenge that it presents to educators that you are unwilling to expand character counts on Remind as it is a necessary tool in my life right now to keep in touch with a portion of my students!

  79. Amanda Rogers-avatar

Remind has made communication with families so much easier, especially during the stay at home order. I'm so glad I had Remind already set up at the beginning of the school year, it made this difficult transition to remote learning just a little more palatable.

  80. Tonantzintla Chacon-avatar

    Tonantzintla Chacon

Great tool for classroom and individual communication, and easy to use. Some Spanish speaking parents find it a little difficult as user interface is English, but the directions in multi-languages helps!

  81. Palmer Mena-avatar

Great application for keeping up with students. Wish there was a more seamless way of organizing participants in the list. Has been a great communicative tool used with students through virtual learning.

  82. Connie Decher-avatar

Lowsy I can't get it to work. When it sends me the code I can't get back to the boxes to put it in and went thru this mess at least 10 times and finally got the pad set and it said it isn't valid for this several times and I keep having the same problem. This process is not anywhere near user friendly. It is totally frustrating. I cant even give it 1 star

I wish messages within Announcements could be longer....also would like to be able to send video clips to students. In that regard, it's a little limited unless you post a link. All in all, app is helpful and works well.

Extremely helpful to stay in contact with the teachers and benefits the students.

Great way to communicate with teachers and have reminders and updates for school.

I would appreciate if you don't delete my rating again. There is no way to delete past conversations and was told by developers there will never be a way to hide them nor delete them. I belong to 2 classes yet I see at least 10 whenever I go to check the notifications (because they don't work most of the time). This app therefore is completely unnecessary since I am forced to use sms anyway.

I love this app. My sons teacher is able to send us info with out a bunch of notes that you know kids will lose. She also was able to let me know how my son was doing throughout the day when he went back to school with a broken hand. We are able to communicate easily a out any questions we have. I wish all teachers would utilize this app more.

I liked class dojo more. This app is not as user friendly to me. You should be able to enroll/join in your child/children's classes through their names and birthdate instead of codes from every different teacher. It'd just be easier if I could join all his classes at once with his information. Positive note you can reach out to another parent in your child's class.

All in all its a great app for my children's teacher's to send out messages an reminders on. I do have some issues with trying to get a few of the teacher's who have sent me invites to their class to join. The app tells me that the teacher or class can not be found but i talk to the teacher an have them send the invite again an it does the same thing. Even tried to uninstall an reinstall the app an it still continues to do it. I need to be able to reach the teacher or them reach me its difficult

This app is amazing. It is a great tool to keep in constant communication with my son's teacher. Even in this difficult time I am able to keep in contact with her and she sends educational videos I can use to help my son to retain and further his learning.

I love the app. It helps me stay in contact with all of my students and vice versa. Text messaging is much easier to use and get a response from students and parents. Plus, students don't need to share their personal phone number with me to use it.

Great to communicate with students and parents as a group of directly with one individual, it's great that one may share docs, date and time stamps in order to keep a long as well as the history

Super to communicate with, doesnt give enough characters for announcement, says it's not connected to internet a lot ( have to resend messages). Can't always find folks I know are in class.

It has been a great app to keep in contact with all of my kids teachers, including the gymnastics gym and music conservatory, both school bands and our overall school district. I can use it to text them directly and has come in very handy when planning field trips and class parties!

Not a great app! You cannot delete any old messages. I still recieve updates from when my student was in junior high school. He's a junior in high school. It's frustrating honestly. Not a great app at all but I gave it one star only because this is the app that my student's teachers are using.

As an app, really poor mngmt options, but good for communication w/ lg grp. Non-existent message mgmt as a classroom non-owner. eg: can't set default view; can't display only classes with new/recent/unread messages (any would b nice); can't sort classes in "Messages"; can't remove classes I've left, frm "Messages" (3 kids, my view is soooo long, it's difficult to find class I want or review what I may have missed across class). Well, I couldn't figure out how on my own nor find info in "Help."

I have 3 boys in different schools. This app helps me keep in touch with all of the teachers in one simple place. Every school should use this. My high schooler also uses the app to get important test dates and study reminders from his teachers. It's a great way to communicate without having to exchange numbers.
