I really am grateful that I can adjust my watering schedule wherever I want and without having to deal with the old way at the controller in the garage. However, just as the old un-smart controllers were had absolutely no intuitive layout and logic, Rachio's smart app has the exact same problems. If I want to run one schedule twice each day, I have to make TWO schedules. When I turn off the automatic seasonal adjustments, the Rachio adjusts the schedules anyway. Their terminology is also loose. When they speak of soaking my lawn, I interpret that as there's going to be a ton of water applied to my grass, as opposed to their meaning which is to turn off the water and let it soak in. I had patches of grass dying left and right for the better part of a year before I was able to figure things out. I'm still trying to catch up with seeding the lawn to make it look good again. It really took a lot of work to get it to where it was easy to deal with.

I have used the first generation Rachio for several years now. I have never had any problems with it. Not even one, now that I think about it. I have replaced our router several times over the years and had zero issues connecting this to any of the major brands, (Asus, Linksys, etc.). When Rachio implemented the water saver system based on lawn type and weather reporting, I easily saved enough money to pay for the system.

It allows me to test my sprinklers without running back and forth into the house. The ability to post pictures of each is own make it much easier to tell what you were doing and when. Google voice integration is also very nice if the sprinklers are going off late at night and I can't sleep I can turn them off so I can get some rest.

I love this sprinkler control. My water co allows watering every 3rd day, and I could never get my old box programmed correctly. I could program for every 3rd day...just not the correct days. I purchased this system based on a recommendation from a neighbor. I was super easy to install - I installed and set up in about 15 minutes! And super easy to set up for my watering schedule. Love my Rachio!

This is a really useful application. especially if you need to monitor remote locations. much easier than running back and forth to the garage or yelling at my spouse to turn on a different zone when I'm fixing something. still learning about the best way to set up a garden or other special zones.

Tracking soil moisture levels, recent and predicted rain fall the zones run based on an algorithm to make sure everything gets the right amount of water to grow.

Very pleased, easy to set up, satellite view was a nice touch to document zones (would like to see a way to document valves), able to photo zones for visual reference. Helpful Hint: if there is a skip that you agree with, cancel the skip THEN do a "user skip" so the system can't override it. Recently the system did a saturation skip then canceled the skip and ran a zone even though it had rained! I hope my plants won't drown as the landscaping is new & the soil is clay. The app is convenient. Love being able to do short runs to check for and adjust drip heads. Love the intelligent features based on weather and seasons. Needs work on sensing and saturation.

Would love an option to add on a day not scheduled! Give me that 5 stars all day long. I am talking about a scheduled run. I want to click on a day and add a scheduled run! Otherwise wouldn't do it any other way. Screw the old time clock and rain sensor! This is how it should be done in 2021!

I love the app and the options to fine tune the water schedule to my needs. However, since a recent update, they have taken out the Thrive button in the app. So now i have no way of marking that I've applied Lawn Champion so it can adjut the watering schedule as needed. So the app still shows that it needs to be applied and that my nutrient levels are low. Please fix this Rachio. Once fixed I'll change my rating.
