One of the main things I downloaded it for was trade evolution and that doesn't work. You have to pay to be able to store more than one box worth of Pokémon or transfer from Pokémon bank, which is a bit annoying, especially as it's significantly more than PB costs. It's slow and awkward to use, especially considering you have to use it in tandem with the switch app, but you can't have both open at the same time. And there's the problem that everyone else is moaning about impossible trades.

$20 to keep the virtual creatures you worked hard for years to get. Thanks guys, very cool. App itself is great in concept but the free version is just... Deliberately bad. You only get one box worth of slots for free. Not enough for one game to be transferred. If premium was cheaper, like maybe a little more than bank but not beyond 10 dollars, then maybe. But this is greed at it's worst. Glad to know the company that made my childhood great is also trying to nickle and dime their loyal fans.

I like this app. It's very user friendly and easy to use for filling your sword and shield pokedex. There are some things I would like to see changed/ fixed. The friend trade doesn't work due to location errors, while the two phones are on the same couch in the same room. And I would like to see a filter in gts that allows you to search for trades that are looking for the pokemon you want to trade. Now it's only the pokemon you're looking for. And these lists are flooded with unobtainable mons.

Possibly most importantly, you need to get rid of the options for people to post trades with pokemon that are impossible to receive. For example, people want to show off their level 100 shiny poipole, so they post a trade with it for a level 1-10 poipole, which is obviously not possible to obtain. So their trade remains up forever, clogging up the space and time for those who actually want to make trades. This needs to be fixed as its everywhere, and is very annoying to navigate around.

I think the app as a concept is a great idea, but i think there could be improvements. like i dont really think the premium membership has as many advantages as it could, especially for the things a lot of people use this app for, like trading. I think you should get to do more than 3 random trades a day & 10 friend trades if you're paying for the membership. otherwise its alright. kinda buggy sometimes.

This idea I love on the go trade at any time. The only issues are trying to get to the box I want to use. With having to find the box I want I have to pass both Pokémon bank boxes and if I need to get to box 78/200 it becomes frustrating by the time I've put my tenth Pokémon to trade. But can't complain about anything else. It's the best next step to better gaming.

Only reason to have the app on the mobile is in order to trade with other people, but the GTS (global trade system) makes it almost impossible to find trades. The game is loaded with trolls that offer pokemon and then request super rare pokemon that are impossible to obtain/trade. Right now no matter what pokemon you look up, the only things those trainers want are lvl 1-10 Poipoles which you literally cannot get in any of the games. Really hope they fix this in order to make trading possible

  8. guest-avatar

I was really hoping that they would add more filters this time around. Most request are full of level 1-10 legendary Pokemon that make it frustrating. Legendary for legendary should have been the only way to trade them. Too many impossible trade requests. Please fix this as the app is no longer fun as it was when i first started using it and as other reviews show I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Don't make the same mistake I did. I set up the Switch and Mobile versions of this app near the same time and the Mobile version didn't see that my NNID was attached to the Switch, so it made a separate file for me under the same NNID. EDIT: After a few months of e-mailing support, my issue was resolved. Better late than never, but the hype for this app is long gone.

  10. guest-avatar

I have been a pokemon fan since it first started and the idea they have here is really good, except having to pay for certain things and the most annoying part is when you're looking for a certain pokemon, not only does it still show legendary trades even though you put no legendaries, but they want to trade a pokemon at a level that's not possible. Please fix this issue, it would make this experience so much better for people.

  11. guest-avatar

Great app but.. 2 things.. the gts abd you can barely transfer diff mon speesees and the gts is not but a drama fight waiting to happen. People over there asking for Pokemon that cant be traded at all and the bad part is that Nintendo and game freak are doing nothing about it. But yet they want to prevent us to duplicate Pokemon so we can give to those who don't have any rares. Please band the people that are asking for mythical Pokemon. And only aloud peeps what want to trade FOR REAL!!😒 tyvm

  12. guest-avatar

The free box is insultingly small and the trade system is filled with spam trades that can't be filtered out. Yes, I did I buy the yearly subscription because I'm a hoarder. But it is hard to express how annoying the GTS is when looking for a legitimate trade. Most of the trades that I keep seeing are people showing off their shiny Pkmn by requesting Lv 10 Pkmn that don't exist like a Type:Null lv 1-10. The interface is tolerable, but half the functionality of Pokémon Home is console only.

  13. guest-avatar

This adds an awesome aspect to the Pokémon gaming world, but there are a few flaws. The trading system lacks a few important filters; on-hand requests, shiny filter, or color/location filter for Pokémon that share the same name. Held items don't trade, so good luck with those evolutions. The game-breaker? The GTS is full of impossible requests that take up most of the limited trade spaces, for bragging. The vast majority are "requests" for lvl 1-10 Poipoles. And no, you can't filter these out.

  14. guest-avatar

It's a perfectly working transfer system, I'll admit. However, for the GTS, I really think The Pokémon Company needs to do something about these people that ask for Pokémon you can't even obtain (ex. A Level 1-10 Zamazenta) or a Pokémon you can't even trade (ex. Mythicals). I mean, how can I even complete my Pokédex with all that bs?

  15. guest-avatar

It's bug free and the UI is nice, but they are asking you to pay for services that were previously free without offering much additional value. The GTS is a mess, full of trades that are literally impossible to fulfil without hacking. Additionally, the "exclude mythical and legendary pokemon" option doesn't appear to actually exclude all mythical and legendary pokemon. The wonder trade is pointless, it takes 8 hours to trade 10 pokemon. In SW/SH you can trade 10 pokemon in about 20 minutes.
