Pinkt is an Android app for the Pinboard bookmarking service. Pinboard is a fast, no-nonsense bookmarking site for people who value privacy and speed. Some examples of what I'm currently unable to offer are Bulk Edit and better pagination support for people with a massive amount of bookmarks saved without compromising the filtering capabilities that Pinkt currently offers. Great app. Finally perfect android implementation for the best bookmarking app. Edit: there is a bug: if your search term includes a space then the search doesn't work. Many keyboards will add a space at the end of input. Have reported in the app. Re-edit, developer corrected bug, 5 stars again.

Fantastic app, thank you! Feature request, it would be great if there was a way to open a "random" bookmark. There is an official bookmarklet that lets you do this, but I'm not sure if you can do it from within the app. Regardless, a very clean and functional app. Thank you!

I failed to login. "Oops something went wrong" was not helpful in diagnosing the problem. I'm a new pinboard user. I have no idea if the problem is client side or server side .. Update: it looks like it's a server-side issue then. Thanks for the super fast reply and for the coming update. I hope I will soon want to update my review to five stars ...

This app does so many things right, with plenty of settings options making it quite flexible. I highly recommend the app, but have two medium-sized (for me) criticisms: In Pinboard, tags are case insensitive, but not in Pinkt. I like to have tags begin with a capital letter; when I add a tag to a new Pinboard entry, I type without capitals. It's not only easier, it lets me know right away if the tag already exists in my account, is slightly different from an existing tag (which I probably should use), or is a new tag. It would be great if Pinkt worked the same way. Also, I sometimes include cut-and-paste quotes from a webpage in the Description field, adding more as I read the page. But in Pinkt scrolling through the Description is difficult if not impossible when the text exceeds the space in the Description box. A fix for this would also be much appreciated.

When saving a bookmark, I'd really like to be able to enter tags and a description. Right now the app saves silently and I have to switch away from the browser to Pinkt, find the bookmark, edit it, show the description, and only then can I properly tag and describe it. Other than that, no ads and open source! Will keep an eye on development!

The UI visual is slick, but it's too slow for some critical operations like saving a bookmark. I suspect that the app waits for the API response before showing the activity's content. Don't do that if you are doing it. I'm going back to pindroid for this reason - Its UI is dated, but it isn't slow.

Up until today I was using PinDroid, but this is much better. Nice simple UI, especially dark mode. Does all the things you'd expect. It seems to have successfully fetched all 42k of my bookmarks and is uploading new bookmarks properly. Search is also surprisingly snappy. I appreciate that the app tries to grab description data from sites. One small issue with adding private tags, which might just be me and I will email about.

Everything I asked for got implemented! Legend! The popular bookmarks page works great; there's even a setting to edit tags and descriptions before you save popular bookmarks to your personal collection! EDIT: Thanks for responding to my "C++" tag bug with an update! I can confirm the tag gets displayed properly now, but when I filter for the "C++" tag, it also includes bookmarks tagged "C" (that aren't also tagged "C++").

I absolutely love this app! It's intuitive, super fast (thanks, new update!) and very, very pretty, with a fairly unique UI. And it gets updates often, something I appreciate a lot. Literally the best of its kind!

First impressions good... I like the API method of connecting to the service. Would like to see the 'popular' bookmarks open to all not just my own that are marked public. Nice looking app. (edit, 5 stars to encourage new users to try the app, thanks for the response)
