PCAPdroid is a privacy-friendly open source app which lets you track, analyze and block the connections made by the other apps in your device. It also allows you to export a PCAP dump of the traffic, extract metadata and much more! PCAPdroid simulates a VPN in order to capture the network traffic without root. It does not use a remote VPN server. All the data is processed locally on the device. Features: - Log and examine the connections made by user and system apps - Extract the SNI, DNS query, HTTP URL and the remote IP address - Inspect HTTP requests and replies thanks to the built-in decoders - Inspect the full connections payload as hexdump/text - Decrypt the HTTPS/TLS traffic and export the SSLKEYLOGFILE - Dump the traffic to a PCAP file, download it from a browser, or stream it to a remote receiver for real time analysis (e.g. wireshark) - Create rules to filter out the good traffic and easily spot anomalies - Identify the country and ASN of remote server via offline db lookups - On rooted devices, capture the traffic while other VPN apps are running Paid features: - Firewall: create rules to block individual apps, domains and IP addresses - Malware detection: detect malicious connections by using third-party blacklists If you plan to use PCAPdroid to perform packet analysis, please check out the specific section of the manual. Join the PCAPdroid community on telegram to discuss and receive updates on the latest features.

This app is absolutely amazing! Takes all the work out of setting up a proxy for captures. Would love an option to save connections. Definitely a 5 star app!

Really buggy. In the time I used this app it crashed like 5 times within the span of 5 minuites. Opening the app filter brought up the apps but the names were corrupted. When the app did work, it was very slow and unresponsive. I can see that there would be a good product here, but sadly it's just broken :(

Extremely useful application, the developer is fast to respond and working on updates to improve the app to make it more user friendly. You will not find another app like this for non root devices which is key.

Really impressed with this tool. Does exactly what it says without any added ads or buy me options. Would like to see an option to save/export results. Other than that this application is spot on. Thanks Devs!!!

this is really cool, sharing hotspot I can analyze all the traffic from test devices. not to mention that python script in your gitbub to use Wireshark !!
Thomas Reynolds
Since there is no Wireshark for Android this is a nice alternative. It captures pcap files that can be viewed with Wireshark on a PC.
Ali Saleh
Does what it says. Very Useful. Suggestion: Add a pcap viewer section to allow opening and viewing the saved pcap files.

What an amazing app and it deserves more then 5 stars, Very useful application for people who wants to know what's going on in the background of there phone and what application does how often it connects to the internet and where. It's just what I was looking for and this app gave me the information I needed. Thank you so much for creating such an amazing application.

Better than what I was expecting! I really needed to see UDP traffic more than anything and boom! This app does just that (and more)! I'm even surprised the app doesn't default to hiding itself from DNS lookups and what not. Impressive!
Faizan Iftikhar
Fantastic app. Needed to find out which URL's an application was connecting to for a project and it did the job perfectly.
