Meet PAI (Personalized Activity Intelligence), a smarter way to track all different types of activity and keep your heart healthy.

Backed by science, PAI is associated with reducing the risk of cardiovascular and other lifestyle disease mortality.

Note: This app works with Fitbit, Garmin, and Polar devices.

"PAI is the best example yet of how wearables can turn data about our bodies into tailored, actionable advice—and hopefully longer lives." - The Wall Street Journal

THE UNIQUE BENEFITS OF PAI
• Focuses on the one thing that matters most to your health - your heart
• Helps you understand the health impact from all physical activity (not just steps)
• Takes years of scientific research and simplifies it into a single score
• Provides you with a personalized weekly goal, 100 PAI, that reflects your unique profile and characteristics and what you need to maximize the impact of your fitness routine
• Keeps you motivated and your heart healthy

Do more of what you love with PAI. Whether it’s yard work or your favorite sport, catch with the kids or CrossFit, PAI helps you add joy to your days and years to your life.

PERSONALIZED TO YOU
PAI (Personalized Activity Intelligence) helps you understand the health impact of everything you do on your heart and provides you with a personalized goal, designed to improve your heart health.

The app translates heart rate and personal profile data (taken from Fitbit, Apple Watch, Garmin, and Polar devices) and translates it into a simple score that tells you if you are active enough and provides a weekly goal.

BACKED BY SCIENCE
The Personal Activity Intelligence algorithm was developed by the Nobel Prize-winning Faculty of Medicine at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and scientifically validated using data collected from the HUNT Study, which followed 45,000 people over 25 years. Research studies showed that those who maintained 100 PAI or more over time reduced the risk of cardiovascular disease mortality by an average of 25% and extended their lifespans by an average of 5 years.

YOUR GUIDE TO IMPROVING YOUR HEART HEALTH
It’s never too late to start! PAI will give you a personalized plan to get you on the path to improving your heart health - tracking your progress as you go. Start with a goal of 30 PAI and move up to 100 PAI which is the ideal goal to achieve and maintain the best cardiovascular health.

FIND OUT YOUR FITNESS AGE
PAI takes your profile and combines it with data from your wearable device and calculates your Fitness Age. This is a quick and easy way to understand if your heart health is better or worse than it should be for someone of your age.

MEASURE WHAT MATTERS
It’s not the number of steps that count, but how much heart you put into it. That’s why PAI counts all activity - as long as it gets your body moving and your heart pumping. PAI works for all fitness levels too as it’s personalized to your unique makeup.

Great concept, but has room for improvements. Last week I was on extreme stress and as a result I got more PAI score! I think developer need to consider increased heart rate due to a physical activity to estimate PAI.

This app does not work consistently. One day it will pick up readings, then for no apparent reason it won't. It's a bummer.

Support Wear OS or get off the Play Store dadburnit! This project looked so promising, that I installed it before realizing that Wear isn't supported. Considering going forward Google, Samsung (Tizen) & possibly some Fitbit will be combined into Wear 3.0 ? I can't imagine a better OS for you to port into (if you want a widen the reach of this app)

Wish I could give it zero stars. The PAI app no longer supports the MIO Slice, so I downloaded the Accurofit app and used that. Wasn't happy with the change but at least it worked and wasn't a total loss. Now that I have upgraded to the latest Motorola RAZR the Accurofit app will not connect to the MiO Slice. Very frustrating and I'll stay away from PAI and any device compatible with it or Accurofit (NCI Technology).

The app was working wonderfully until yesterday, when all of a sudden it won't synchronize with my tracker (Amazfit). I had to disconnect and reconnect it 4 times before I gave up I'm having an automated function work "manually". Now it shows my PAI scores but it won't show any data of my heart rate. It became pointless overnight, which is really too bad.

Been waiting a long time for Fitbit compatibility and its lived up to expectations. Love the new app that allows you to view PAI Score, VO2 and cardiovascular age side by side. Brings reality to the notion that simply counting steps is a good gauge of cardiovascular health. If you keep and maintain 100 PAI score daily you will feel the effects.

Sucky. I got a MiO slice and it says to connect to this app so I can receive notifications on my watch. You don't even have the option to connect a MiO slice once you're in the app. How stupid is that? So now the main feature I was excited for is useless and you all "have no plans to add the compatibility for MiO slice" that's janky.

I've had to uninstall and reinstall this several times to get the date to update in the app. I LOVE Pai as a fitness metric, but man, it'd be nice if there were an associated app actually on my actual Fitbit - it might sync better that way.

  9. Pam Kozu-avatar

There is great science behind this. I so want to use this but even though my Garmin connect synced somehow it never picked up my heart rate data so never gave me a score. My friend synced right away with fit bit.

Was referred to the app so I installed it but couldn't even get it set up. Tried to synch to my Fitbit when prompted and got repeated error messages no matter what I did. Couldn't get past it so Uninstalled the app...very bad experience.
