Require rooted device, won't work otherwise

Important notice on Android 6.0+:
When you perform a reboot to recovery, the system dialog would incorrectly state as performing a factory data reset. Please be assured that this app would NOT factory reset your phone and it is purely a visual bug. Hopefully Google would fix it in future revision of Android

Features:
Power off
Sleep (Screen lock)
Reboot, soft reboot (require busybox), recovery, bootloader
Screenshot
System menu override (experimental)
Quick setting tiles

Languages:
English
Russian (contributed by Виталя Борисов, thanks!)
Brazilian Portuguese (contributed by Lucas K., thanks!)
Simplified Chinese (contributed by Matsuri, thanks!)

Notice:
Screenshot may not work if you have "mount namespace separation" enabled in SuperSU

Installing as System App (technical read):
On Android 4.3+, you can freely choose whether to install our app to system. Running as a system app would grant us extra permissions to invoke some protected functions (like shutdownreboot) via the Android API. Otherwise we'll fallback to root shell commands, which could be slower depending on your device. However modifying system would most likely hinder your ability to receive an OTA update

If you do opt to install as system app, you'll have to remove it from system first in order to uninstall completely. You can do so by opening the config and clicking "Undo system app installation"

You can find the source in the GitHub repo at https:github.comnkming2power-menu, bug reports should also go there

App ChangeLog

  • - Add Simplified Chinese translation (contributed by Matsuri, Thanks!)
  • - Improve Android 8+ support (adaptive icon, notification channel)
  • - No longer having two entries in the launcher
  • - Visual updates
  • - Bug fixes and other improvements

Good. I recently rooted a tablet and I hated the default power menu, so I installed this app, and it is much better then the default. recommended. I'm talking like a robot. Although when the "override system power menu" option is turned on, sometimes it can fail to appear, or the default menu will show up, and swiftly close, followed by this menu.

After complete set up, I double checked settings. One of the last is for this app to replace stock power menu. I checked it and rebooted. It did not replace the stock power menu. Otherwise it function is as described. I don't like floater buttons which this provides.

Standard features work perfectly on Rooted S4 Mini 4.4.2. Did not test Experimental options

Look this app is (to my knowledge) one of the only ones that trigger a proper reboot instead of forcing one, and just for that it makes the one I currently use, but it has one annoying thing, because I don't give it access to storage it always displays a message about that because of the scrennshots... just get rid of that message unless we click on the scrennshot button, or better yet make some settings so we can disable/enable buttons. Thanks for your app and effort. :-)

  5. Daniel Gunn-avatar

Works as described. I installed it in android x86 because it was running in a virtual machine and I had no way of powering it off otherwise. I would recommend this app to anyone looking for a powermenu app.

The only reason i use this app is because my phone power button is broken. The app does what it says, it did work for me. 3star would suffice, perfectly balance as all thing should be.

Looks neat but cannot be used with just a remote control. If you're looking for a way to power down or reboot an Android TV Box this is not it.

  8. Mikhail Kiselev-avatar

All you can dream :-) It replaces default power menu (by long press of power button)!

instead of working it is giving me sudo root access failures alerts in infinite mode. it sucks

Works as intended. Any chance you can add 'reboot by Magisk' or allow for customization?
