Team...IDK what you did it why you did it but...this app has become almost unusable. We have a new loading screen - neat. We also have constant Critical Error crashes along with it - not neat. Scale it back, get rid of the bugs, focus on core function. Please.

I'm a software developer that's been using Mattermost for work on my Pixel 3XL for over a year and a half now. I haven't run into any major issues with the app. Every now and then it will crash, but in those cases I just close the app and reopen it with no issues. This may happen once or twice a month at most when I'm using the app a lot. Otherwise I think it's a great app that does what I need it to do.

Completely borked for months. All attempts to open the app fail with a blank screen. Pixel 3a. Completely unusable.

Clicking the top left or top right hamburger menus do not work. I need to change the setting so the live chat feed doesn't skip to present when I am scrolled up trying to read past messages. Not even sure if this setting is possible because the menus don't work.

A good start but some super weird quirks. The app refuses to load if Android Auto is connected. The long press menus are weirdly themed and have blurry text (are they images?). No embedded video file player or intent so you have to download the video any time you try to watch from the app. No ability to have read only channels without paying (not even one a-la Slack). Also the biggest one: every time you return to the app it has to reflow (pc vers does this too when u switch between channels).

When it works, it's great. But the bugs are app breaking. The app will randomly cause sign in issues, where you are required to sign in every time you open the app. Even if it's cached. It stays signed in on the server side, and can receive push notifications to your phone. It leaves me with such a bad taste that I don't even want to use the app. It started Jan 2021, and randomly comes and goes. Happens to my coworkers too so I know it's not me.

Overall a greatly functional app. My issue is the scrolling bug. It forces your scroller to the top on launch, which is okay, except for the fact that once additional messages have loaded in, it does it again, which means that you have an infinite loop of scrolling up. Its really hampering my use of the app.

Very difficult and glitchy to set up. You cant just use the app you need to also use a web browser in order to fully set it up. On top of that you need access to your DoD email in order to confirm your email address. For privacy reasons I wouldnt recommend using personal email for anything connected to DoD communications(I use personal email for leaveweb and thats it). If your workspace prevents access to your cell phone or if you have poor to no cellular reception its nearly impossible to setup

Advice: Hire QA people. They're worth their weight in gold. Must be the buggiest chat application I've ever used. It will get into weird unfixable states constantly. If I swipe the drawer open too quickly it half opens and freezes the app until I force kill it, rarely get push notifications, and now the scrolling is broken as well.

Cannot access the app. I keep getting and error stating to relaunch the app, I relaunch and the same issue repeats. I've reached out through the feedback tool, and received an automated email saying I would get contacted w/in 48hrs...it's been almost a week and NOTHING. Would give ZERO stars if that was an option
