I like the app but not the service. Cannot cancel the trial and no response from support.

It seems like I'm paying for the opportunity to view advertisements to buy books. Not only that. The few books I was pitched in the trial were politically motivated trash with no substantive content outside of an obvious agenda. What does politics have to do with raising children or investing?

Never got try it.. but I canceled day before trial... They charged me a day early... πŸ₯΄ Could be because they are located outside of us.. One star for charge Early... πŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Ž

most of the content requires a pricy subscription. but that's not my main gripe with this app. my main complaint is that there are a bunch of mistakes in grammar, spelling, etc in the koobs. a lot of the time the writing is just plain awful. given their main selling point is a bunch of summaries of books (i.e. the koobs), the low quality of the free koobs I've sampled make me feel completely unconvinced that I should pay to access the rest of them.

I think this app serves a purpose but it's not for everyone. People who are not into reading books and wants things straight to the point then this is a great app and worth the 7.99/a month. They don't have much now but I like the variety of categories it had from politics to finance. They take a lot of popular books and defluff them. However I do like reading books and reading the condensed version takes away the author's personality and makes it harder to retain info (at least for me).

  7. Deda Sab-avatar

    Deda Sab

It's timely and financially efficient, one can read up to 14 books a day that may cost up to 200$ in less than 6 hours with only 8$ a month. However, I am a kind of a person who feels an achievement in finishing a whole book, so this concise form isn't for me.One thing though, I wish the downloaded books would be played like a playlist, pulling up while driving(on commute) to play the next book isn't ideal. Unfortunately, I'll unsubscribe and delete because I can't pay for monthly subscription.

  8. Robert Gonzalez-avatar

If I could give a zero, I would. I saw an ad for this app and it gave the impression that it was free with an option to purchase for more. The truth is, the app is not free. You can absolutely get a free seven day trial for setting up a new account, but after that you have to subscribe to access virtually anything. While I appreciate the appeal of this app, I am not paying for you to paraphrase a book for me. The "value" created by this app is overshadowed by the cost. Uninstalled immediately.

  9. Sarienn Horror Narrator-avatar

Not impressed at all. Especially for the cost. Free trial didn't spark any sense of, "I need this app". Can download a book, opt to read instead of listen, and the listen has nothing to do with what you're reading. The books offered are not that eye catching at all. This isn't for me.

  10. reilly waldron-avatar

Been using for a week, not sure how I feel about it yet. I listen while I drive and noticed that if I arrive and turn off my car, when I go back in to open the app back up my book is restarted from the beginning and I have to either consciously look at what minute and second I'm at before closing it or just guess to where I was at. This is frustrating, but manageable I guess, I'll just begin to take note of where I was before shutting down my car, can be annoying if I'm rushing to meet a client.
