Jal Mitra

The Jal Mitra mobile application is an initiative to protect and preserve water bodies of Indore City.

The Jal Mitra application has been developed to help the Revenue officers and Municipal Corporation employees who take care of the lakes of the city. The application provides interesting features that help the employees to maintain a proper record of the lake’s information.

With the help of the application, employees can geofence the lakes. This also includes the option of uploading pictures of the lake, along with providing information like the depth, capacity, type and water level of the lake, etc. The user also has the option of adding comments below the picture uploaded. Further, the employee would also record the ‘recharge point of the lake’. This is the source of water for that particular lake.

At any point in time, the admin can add employees who will be able to log in and contribute to the information.

The application aims at becoming a systematic as well as an authentic base for information on the city’s lakes.Its an initiative by Divisional Commissioner Indore Shri Akash Tripathi and runs under a registered society in the name of Jheel aiwam Bhu Jal Sanrakshan Society, Indore
