The Constitution of India is the supreme law of India.It lays down the framework defining fundamental political principles, establishes the structure, procedures, powers and duties of government institutions and sets out fundamental rights, directive principles and the duties of citizens. It is the longest written constitution of any sovereign country in the world. The nation is governed on the basis of this Constitution. B. R. Ambedkar is regarded as the chief architect of the Indian Constitution. The constitution of India imparts constitutional supremacy and not parliamentary supremacy as it is not created by the Parliament but created by a constituent assembly and adopted by its people with a declaration in the preamble to the constitution. Parliament cannot override the constitution. The Constitution was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949, and came into effect on 26 January 1950. The date of 26 January was chosen to commemorate the Purna Swaraj declaration of independence of 1930. With its adoption, the Union of India officially became the modern and contemporary Republic of India and it replaced the Government of India Act 1935 as the country's fundamental governing document. To ensure constitutional autochthony, the framers of constitution repealed the prior Acts of the British Parliament via the Article 395 of the constitution. India celebrates the coming into force of the constitution on 26 January each year as Republic Day. The Constitution declares India a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic, assuring its citizens of justice, equality, and liberty, and endeavours to promote fraternity among them. The Constitution was drafted by the Constituent Assembly, which was elected by the elected members of the provincial assemblies. The 389 member Constituent Assembly took almost three years (two years, eleven months and eighteen days to be precise) to complete its historic task of drafting the Constitution for Independent India. During this period, it held eleven sessions covering a total of 165 days. Of these, 114 days were spent on the consideration of the Draft Constitution.

Good app but not the best. 1) Please, add title of every article, schedule & amendment in the browing list as it will make very easy to browse articles in the list. Otherwise, user has to open each and every article to find the desired one. It's really cumbersome. 2) Insert swipe left or right feature while reading articles as it will allow users to read articles one by one without opening article list frequently. 3) Reduce animation speed. It's too fast. Make its little bit slower.

Design and tag features are helpful. Below are a few suggestions to make it more user friendly- You can add swipe option to move from one article to another. It's kind of irritating to click back and then go to next article. Also, there are chapters in the parts for better understanding purpose. If possible you can add that also.

I would recommend for adding the feature of external storage in app.Its great overall. It has a problem of occupying internal memory of device so its tough for people using devices low on internal storage and consequently its a drawback. Users are reluctantly needed to uninstall it. So one can feel full after using it if there is an option of external storage. Its a great job by the developer. Its a suggestion by my side because i'm loving it but the only illness suffered is STORAGE. Help!!!

Kindly add feature to search the articles, or a customizable keyword search. The pre defined keyword search is not sufficient. Rest of the app is clean and good. Edit - thank you for your prompt reply and your warm wishes, but I've no plans for more subscribers :) Upgrading to 4 stars.

Nice app; does what it is supposed to. Just two suggestions: 1. It's been more than a year since Article 370 was amended. I thought the latest update would address it but it did not. Please update it. 2. An option to search parts/articles/schedules and their content.

Good and responsive app, but the contents are not up to date. Latest amendment seems to be passed only in 2016 according to the app. No mention of abrogation of Article 370 and 35A. App interface is top class, but contents are outdated.

An exceptional app with no ads. Just perfect. Can use updates with respect to access to. home button in every step since it is quite tedious to always go back to home page. Add a hovering button or a side panel which has similar options as home for easier access

Best UI. Loved more than any other app. But only two improvements needed. 1. Titles should be added in Index in the list of parts and schedules as well. 2. Dark Mode 3. Search option.
