This review is based off experience with using the app for a window AC unit. Core functionality works, you can turn on & off the unit, change mode, fan speed and temperature. As other reviewers have mentioned the timer functionality does not seem to work... unless you change your phone's language to Chinese. Only tested with English and Chinese, but when set to English you can almost set a timer, some of the buttons have no text but the sub-menus do, so it's pretty easy to guess what you would be setting. However, there is no "save" button in the top right like you see in the app screenshots on the add timer screen. So, if you want to set a timer, remember which buttons you have to select by their position while still in English, change your phone language to Chinese, add the timer and click on the top right button which should've been there in English, switch your phone back to English and then confirm that you have set your timer correctly. You will have to do this for each time you want to edit the timer or add another one later (or didn't do in bulk). You can toggle the timer on and off in English though. It's up to you to decide if it is worth it to go through this to set a timer, but if you do remember the way to change the language on your phone back to English. Back to the review, there is also a lack of widgets/shortcuts for specific functions, all I could find was a widget to turn on and off the unit and a shortcut which opens the app to the unit's settings. The lack of proper app testing and lack of quick toggles is disappointing, but I think there's enough functionality to make it barely to 3 stars, but it could definitely be a LOT better.

Timer has been broken the entire 6 months I've had this. Its got blank buttons and no "finish" button, only "cancel". They clearly do not care enough to fix it. Waste of money since I only bought this to be able to set it to go on at a certain time every day

Negative 5 stars!! Another spam company now has my email address for nothing in return to me the customer!! Right from the start the unit doesn't follow the directions to bring up EZ or AP modes by pushing buttons 6 times. So I'm out of luck I guess, I'll just stick with the damn remote. Removing this app after my review is locked in.

Doesnt work at all... Cant find the AC unit. Instructions are, maybe not confusing, but tedious at very best. Not worth my time. Just going to return the unit.

*Update 6/27 STILL not fixed timer after Months now 🙄. Now 1 star. Shows where their at with customer care & support.* It would be fine if it wasn't for no screen at all showing up in the timer section on my Galaxy s20+ making it impossible to set any sort of timer or start/stop time. Even if you could guess at what the options are, it won't allow you to actually set it. Im writing this review hoping it might get noticed and fixed, especially since there are no other app options for this AC.

Timer section of app is blank and unusable, so no way to set timers to turn on or off as was advertised it was able to do. Unable to actually sync with Alexa as advertised as it shows false temperature readings, showing 163 degrees, rather than 74, and unable to set true temperatures or get anything programmed accurately to properly work. None of their big selling factors to the unit and app actually work.

The TCL app is very basic and the timer option doesn't work at all. Third party apps (Google Home and Amazon Alexa) are even worse. The Home app only allows on/off controls but the voice assistant works beautifully. Alexa app allows for temp control but the parameters are illogical. It showed my current temp as 163 when my A/C was set for 74°F.

Why advertise this app in the manual when it does not work. I never could get it to find the air conditioner using both methods. Fire the idiot that included anything regarding the app in the manual. Waste of my damn time!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure it would have been user friendly if only I could get it to connect to my 5k BTU window unit. Sitting here pressing the 'Display' button six times within six seconds for, like, twenty minutes. It would beep twice, but no "CF" on the display. Oh well.

Instructions don't work. I press eco key 6 times, as I have no display key. The device is tcl wifi enabled. Wifi light is on. Eco key doesn't show CF or any change.
