Let's you do all the work. Adds little value. Must add each of your plants and their needs to a garden. Does it have a library of varieties to choose from? No. Does it build you a garden schedule once you've done all that work? No. It's basically a diary for each of your plants. Maybe that's useful to someone. Update: added a star for excellent customer service. Still don't understand how this helps with "plant care" - just recording what care you already provided.

Love this app so much. It makes gardening so fun to organize and catalogue. I love the versatility - I actually create different events to document a wide range of activities/transformations in the garden. Two suggestions to make this app perfect: 1) I'm typically downloading the plant photos from the web so the ability to sort starting from most recent downloads (rather than endless scrolling to the bottom). 2) When you search for a plant, the search field hides the first result.

All it's missing is a plant identification option! I really love this app!

I used this app back when it was completely free. Im glad to pay the fee because this app is awesome. Hoping that the ability to share new entrys with my follower list and see their latest entries on my feed. The chat is a cool feature but being able to post and have conversation on post is a better feature. Like if i could share an event entry ,as an example, and get commentary on it.

Like it, I can put my plant event together and remember how each of them grow. Could you please put more flex setup, like color, amount water, what kind of soil etc. can be custermerize so I can write my own notes as I grow orchids the setup is much complex than that several seleced options in the app..

Gardenize is the best app for me, to organize and record the progress of my garden throughout the season. In addition, it's a great app to track what you have planted, and where in your garden it is I've tried and used many other gardening apps, and have found Gardenize the most beneficial due to it's unique features, intuitive design, ability to use with your computer and your smart device, ability to customize to the methods I use to garden, and it's great support, all which I'll discuss below. The main reason I like it is because of it's versatility and potential. It's very versatile because you can define your areas (I have raised beds I dedicate to square foot gardening), define your plants, (any plants including vegetables, herbs, annual and perennial flowers, trees, shrubs, etc), and then create your own events (can be logs, journal entries, photos, reminders, etc). The real power is that you can then associate any of these three aspects with the other ones. You can associate different plants with different areas, different events with different plants or to different areas, etc. Then, when you observe a specific plant, you can see the areas and events for that plant, or when you view a specific area, you can see the different plants and events for that area, and when you view a specific event, you can see the plants and areas associated with that event. You can also take photo's with your phone, or saved photos, and attach them to events, plants, and areas. For each plant, area, or event, there are defined fields which makes it nice to set the specific attributes of those entities. Plus, there's a generic 'Notes' field for all three entities that you can use to add more attributes if you need. This is very nice, since most other gardening apps give you only their own info, and procedure for planting, growing, etc, which may not work with the specific way you garden yourself. You also have the ability to use the application from your phone or computer. The interface is very user friendly on both devices, and syncs very well between them. I've never lost data going from one device to another, and the data syncs quickly and right away when logging into the specific device. The development team has some future plans that are being implemented right now. I'm greatly looking forward to some of those, which will make the app even easier and more robust to use. All in all, this is the most versatile app that I've found for organizing and journaling your garden. [2021-5-26]: Just want to add a bit to my review, regarding customer support. I had a small issue with the app, and emailed support. Support responded within 24 hours, and resolved all issues quickly after a few correspondence emails. It's nice to see and know you will be able to receive support on your phone app if and when problems do arise. I don't quite understand the few negative reviews due to the problems that the users had with their paid accounts, since if they would have contacted support as I did, I'm sure they would have gotten their issues resolved promptly as I did.

Here's what it's missing; there needs to be a section for planning your annual garden, preferably with lists of companion plants. Maybe even a place to set alerts such as a change in your watering schedule or when to to pick up supplies before your seed order arrives. As it stands the app is just a fancy list of what you're growing so you can show it off, not so much a tool for the less self obsessed. It would be more helpful if you could list your plants and then lay them out into a grid.

Reliable, easy and free. I attached multiple pictures to my records. Today, I went to make an entry, and my old version was no longer supported and I had to update. The new free level allows one picture per record. I've never had a problem with the freemium model. Give more, better features to paying customers. But yesterday, I could add as many pictures as I wanted, for free. You already gave that to me. Today you took it away because you want more money. That doesn't fly with me. Goodbye.

Edit from 3* to 1* -- After the update that I was forced to install today, the app is completely unusable without paying a monthly subscription fee. No additional benefit, just locking existing functionality behind a monthly subscription. And no, I don't care to hear about your yearly subscription, either. If you wanted me to buy into a subscription, you should have offered me new features. Uninstalling.

Overall a good app. I tried several apps looking for something that will help me track what is planted where. This was by far the best I found. Lots of customization and info options, and I love that I can define my garden areas and look up what is planted by area. It really needs a plant knowledge database/lookup feature, because it is incredibly annoying to have to enter all the info for each plant manually.
