Protect yourself, protect others. eRouska remembers other eRouska apps you have met. When a user is infected, he/she can easily and anonymously notify others about the risk of infection. eRouska is the official exposure notification app of Czech Republic, developed by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with NAKIT (National Agency for Information and Communication Technology). In the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic, the app aims to notify users, who are at risk of carrying the virus. Based on the history of exposure to other potentially contagious users, the app gives instructions, how to proceed to minimize spread of the epidemic. However, the app is not a medical device and is certainly not a substitute for a doctor. The app is based on Bluetooth Low Energy technology, which is designed to be especially energy-efficient, and it doesn’t collect any geolocation data, including GPS data. The app is developed and released in full compliance with Exposure Notification API Policy requirements, fully GDPR compliant and doesn't collect and directly process any personal data - any data that would identify the user or his mobile device, such as their name, address or telephone number. eRouska is able to determine that contact has taken place between two users without knowing who those users are and where the contact occurred. The app is a part of Czech Smart Quarantine concept and a valuable tool in the fight against COVID-19 epidemic. Every single user increases its overall effectiveness. Probably works, but when I'm home it keeps sending notifications telling me to turn on location services and bluetooth. Got annoying after a week. Edit: I know that in order for this app to work, it has to have access to location and bluetooth, BUT 99% of the time I'm at home where I don't meet infectious people. I won't use the app unless there is a toggle for these annoying notifications.

I installed it and wonder, how the Bluetooth detection works. I believe, that there is no function in API that would measure distance between two devices, also I strongly believe, that each device is unique and so information as signal strength can be misleading in calculation of distance. Please let me know, because I am really curious. Otherwise I am happy with the app. It would be nice to know at least when the contact happened, so you can know if you were outside or inside. Thanks.

App should alert on risky encounters more clearly. It would be better if it could also tell you the time, duration and intensity of the contact. I think it is worth sacrificing some privacy for that. The definition of risky contact was emailed to me and written as comment. This definition should be clearly written in the app. (Risky contact is defined as 15 minutes with person closer than 2m from you)

I'd be much more content with the app if it would show me also number of my encounters with other people using the app (even when they're not "dangerous encounters") so I could see I'm not the only one using the app. I'd like to have that reassuring feeling "yes, it has a point having eRouška installed!".

Good improvement, but there's no way how to check that the installed application is working ok (bluetooth is fully supported, data downloaded and how often etc.). I'd expect a log showing last successful data download (including time), next data download schedule, when I met last neighbor, how many neighbors I met since app enabled, when I met first and last positive neighbor, how long time I spent with positive neighbors... Possibility to start/pause downloads by hand would be also nice.

Doesn't tell if it's running or not. The BT batt consumption maybe improved due to change in underlying tech and I assume the changes in the way it works is because of Google requirments. But the app design doesn't show if it's active on background. On android 9 and up there is Google notification when Bluetooth is off. That's how to test if app running. On Android 6,7,8 ..NO such notification. Also NO system log showing any sort of activity as it was in vers1. Chinese phones kill Google Apps.

I always thought this application design could be really helpful so I yet don't understand what was the core problem with previous version and what has changed now. Anyway I miss the collected data table. This transparency behind actual functionality of the application was really nice so why did you removed it? Thumbs up for the news tab, on point.

Can't change language of the app to Czech, there's no settings to do that. My phone is set to English so I can use some apps properly, and I am able to set the language in other app's settings... Also it shows some white notification on top, without any text (or with white text, who knows, it's hard to read white text on white background). Even though the app has some bugs, I am giving it 5* because it's a necessary app in these trying times.

I'm now getting notification of risky encounter almost everyday day, but in some days I don't remember any situation which met the criteria less than 2m more than 15min it would help a lot to get time of the encounter to be able to consider if situation was really risky or it's false. It would be also great to get actual info about restrictions in the region i'm currently in.

I live with an infected person who is marked in the app for 4 days in a shared apartment, we both have this app installed and Bluetooth turned and so on but I still didn't get any notifications. Also, in the past I got notifications for 10 consecutive days about risky encounters but I was just at my home and didn't meet any people. For me it just doesn't work properly therefore I don't see any real benefits using it.
