!!!BIG UPDATE, READ INSTRUCTIONS!!! Because of recent Samsungs changes, there are more steps required to make this application function again. First, enable all the applications that you want to use with edge lighting in this application. After that, go to Settings / Display / Edge Screen / Edge Lighting / Edge lighting style / Color / Custom color and go into section By text. Here you input all the application names, which you've enabled in this application and select colors for them. After that, it will work because this app will trigger a new notification with application title and it will trigger original edge ligthing effect. If you are not sure, watch this video: https://youtu.be/b28O6wk-J-I As of latest Samungs update of EdgeScreen, they disabled custom colors for notifications. They are overwriting any color changes made by any app. If you want to have this app running well, please do this: Please go to Settings / Apps / EdgeScreen and in top right corner, tap on three dots to show menu an Uninstall all updates. After that, go to Settings / Display / Edge Screen / Edge Lighting / Manage notifications and enable my app. I am currently trying to solve this issue, but it will be hard and maybe I need som assistance from Samsung. ----------------------------------------------- To ensure, that your phone is set correctly, or you have any problems, try this at first: Go to Settings / Display / Edge screen. Here please tap on Edge lighting and make sure it's set to Always. Also tap on Edge lighting style, tap on Color / App color and in top right corner tap on three dots and select Reset app colors. If application is only waking up your display, do this: Go to Settings / Display / Edge Screen / Edge lighting / Manage notifications and check, that my application is enabled. If it is enabled, try to disable and enable it again. NOTICE: You need to have enable Edge Lighting notifications in your mobile phone! Using this applications you can enable edge notifications and customize color for any application installed on your device. Works while AOD too. This application uses Samsung native notifications, not any emulated notifications. It works by translating old, non-edge notifications to new style notifications.

It lights up the edge but only in one color. The s10 has the functionality to change colors for text that shows in the notification title (I don't know if the rest of the galaxys where update too) . If you send the name of the app in the notification title on your app we could select custom colors for each app. It's not ideal but it should work.

This one works consistently with the notifications! Thank you devlpr! Worth it! So frustrated when I downloaded the other one. Lots of bad feedbacks already, just didnt notice it. I have request, if we can have an option to make the light a little longer and thicker, and the choice of color for each app will be applied coz for me it only shows color purpe in all apps notifications. its works somewhat but not reliable. very pissed off that Samsung doesn't care to fix this then I had to pay money to get it to work via third party app. great job getting it to work somewhat. Colors don't work no matter what I choose, also it times out after about 5 seconds. no actual options to increase the width like the phone app options and is there a way to make it so that it stays on until i see the message or app that needs attention?

Unfortunately!!! The app very nice, but there is a problems in this app, when i get notification from messenger i can't open the message while it's lightning!! I must open notification panel and i open the message!! Please try to make it possible when you get message you can open it immediately while still lightning like original from Samsung!!

It was working just fine, every app had their own color but then suddenly every app share the same color. i tried all troubleshooting instructions on app but anything seemed to work. Whenever i tried to choose a color on this app doesn't work at all but if i go to the default edge lightning settings it let me choose but a single color for every app. just got the andriod 9 along with UI. same troubleshooting steps were attemptted unsuccessfully please advice

The new update for the edge screen disabled some functions of the app but the developer responded quickly to my email and gave a temporary fix until the main issue is resolved. Can't get better than this.

Since the Pie update on my Galaxy S9 I can no longer uninstall the Android Edge Screen Updates or make any changes to your App, in other words, he it works, colors are set by default of the Android Pie software. Will there be a fix for this issue soon?

It used to work perfectly on my Samsung S9+ but since the Android Pie update, when a WhatsApp notification comes up, there is only an icon but no text showing up. It looks frozen. Any way to solve this issue? Thanks 😇

This app is great but after a month or so i came across a bug where all apps have the same colour. This bug happened starting early today and can't seem to figure it out.

Got it for my s10. Sometimes it works fine, but sometimes it displays only generic app notification without title and with generic colour. Seems like there is loads of trouble with edge lightning in new Samsung
