The Consumer Rights app is exclusively intended for the Mauritian Market and will allow users to report issues related to consumer protection directly to the Consumer Affairs Unit (CAU), Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Consumer protection. This application has been developed for the citizens of the Republic of Mauritius and for tourists. The application aims to enhance communication between the CAU and local consumers. The app will allow users to send and follow up complaints and it will also provide users with prompt notifications about decisions/news/events made by CAU to boost confidence between the two parties.

Good initiative. However the app is not user friendly enough. Why do you ask for signin or signup details only when completing a report? I tried to submit a report but then, the signup button from the app would not work, hence i lost all progress on my report.

Apps is fake as when u sent complains n after it wont passes as you must sign in n after it cant loging to server .... so worst app n csu is tempraly out due to lockdown so this apps is useless unless you can sent your complain ...plus 185 is alwYs busi ... please fix it let it be annoymously as certain products are doubles there prices.... please reupload a new versions which this times will sloved this issues....n futures common mauritius telecom...

This is one App that I have been waiting for a long time (despite 100% poor inadequate service from CPU in 2013/2014). There are many consumer rights abuses in Mauritius (from dumping to refusing to take back faulty goods even if you come back next day, less than 24h after purchase. Shops like to abuse women more so the son has to take over). The App doesn't tell you if you can report a bakery which has bread on the dirty floor or one that sells cockroaches in its bread. This is usually handled by Sanitary from MoH. Another case is problems with MyT phone and internet. Usually this is handled by ICTA or TIC Ministry. *Clarification* is needed as to what can be reported or if this is a one-stop shop consumer reporting App, i.e. MoC will forward your case to relevant Ministry and they will give you a REFERENCE number.
