The upgraded app is terrible. I have to enter my email and password every day to get my local news or "My List" of shows. I keep getting messages every day that "my session has expired. Sign in again." And on top of that I keep getting asked daily if I want to upgrade to Premium. CBC should look at Knowledge Network for a soft-sell, comfortable, easy-to-use app.

I'm fairly happy with the free version of the app. The number of commercials has increased and I'm okay with it, but the problem is commercial volume.. can we not, in this day and age regulate the volume to match the show. Suma come flying in way louder. My biggest peeve is a recent update seems to have put a session timeout. Is even logged me out during a binge session. Logging in all the time annoys me. Can we not have a keep me logged in option?

The only good comment I can come up with is there is a good amount and varied content. Now the bad. Continually having to sign in, increasing add breaks, unreliable video quality (I do have high speed internet so this would not be the cause), poor menu layout etc... I doubt the experience would change with premium, other than the removal of adds. Would not recommend if the content was available elsewhere.

The frequency of ad interruptions is audacious. Its really ruins the viewing experience. I'm all for watching some ads if the product is free after all but this is just too many. And its the same few ads over and over. Sometimes even the same ad twice in a row. I've grown to recent the advertisers. I coukd go on about other inconveniences with the interface too. This app is a chore to use and I look forward to returning to any of the many other streaming services.

I keep being signed out of the app. It does not preserve login session and now I am completely unable to login to another phone with my account at all CBC is great, the development team who works on this app needs a lot of improvement. It is just constant issues. Every single update seems to break something new. Get it together.

Another update required. With only more of the same happening. Latest 5 commercials three of which were the same. Previous viewing history deleted! Still not impressed! App leaves a lot to be desired. Poor navigation while viewing. trying to scroll back 30 seconds takes you back to the previous commercial break & forces you to watch 4 more. Which really wouldn't be so bad if you had more than two. Same 2 commercials back-to-back is frustrating at the sixth repeat

Horrible experience. The show is interrupted every 5 minutes or so with commercials that don't load and just freeze the app. Same thing happens if you try to jump forward or backward in a show - it will try to load ads and freeze. I have yet to watch an entire episode of anything because it keeps freezing.

Buggy on the phone. It doesn't always save where you were at. You can't skip 10 seconds backwards or forwards. When trying to find where you were at, it makes you watch long ads every time you move... Make sure you write down the exact minute where you left what you were watching.

The shows are fantastic and the app is easy to use. The only negative points are it freezes every now and then (not very often though, just once in a while) and I can't stream it to any of our TVs. If I was able to stream it I'd be happy to pay monthly fee because the TV shows are worth it, it just sucks that I can't watch any of them with my husband unless we both huddle around my phone. If the app had a streaming option I'd be giving it 5 stars.

Every forced update makes the app even more unstable! Every time I try to watch an episode it freezes after a commercial break. And then if I try to get back to where I was before I'm watching 10 of the same commercials over and over! Getting to the point where I'll just wait till the show is on another platform or rent it. 😒
