It seems that on a Android 9 system, you need to keep battery optimization off for this program. On my new Pixel 3, after a couple of days, the system Adaptive Battery decided the Auto Screen Saver battery should be limited. After that, it stop working. What I had to do was: Tap Apps & notifications and then Advanced and then Special app access and then Battery optimization. Make this app “Not optimized.” It seems to work now, will report back in a few days if still a problem.

hey, i find the app great, it makes us independent on tha various ambient display implementations and due to the better choice of screen savers / watch faces even looks better. what i observed is that while it works still flawlessly on nexus 6 PIE nitrogen OS it causes UI crashes (intermittent but mostly on wake-up) on Oneplus 6 nitrogen OS PIE. have to mention of course that it was working perfectly well on any device i've tried on OREO Roms. it goes without saying that if the little glitch mentioned above could be ironed out i would appreciate it ;) in case you need further input on the matter just let me know.
