Love the app! Contacted support with a technical issue that was my fault. I received a very fast, professional reply. So far. I really like the app, and it may very well replace the desktop IRC clients I use (and I have several on both Mac and windows). Thanks! Would also like to thank the folks that posted reviews that helped me decide to buy the app, and the developer that replied to those reviews where someone had issues. That made me feel like the developer was very involved, and that turned put to be true.

There are no free IRC apps for Android with this level of functionality. What most IRC users will enjoy is it has a working GUI for most IRC functions, including mIRCs familiar Window for changing channel parameters, modes, and topic. This just means you won't have to do it all by hand with the commands directly, and don't have to retype old topic entries to update them. It could only benefit in further development by adding a script engine for automating certain tasks like in desktop clients/NS id sup/etc.

Overall a very functional and full-featured IRC client. Has a few kinks to be worked out, and I would prefer support for a lighter-colored theme as it would be easier on the eyes in my opinion, but still easily worth the money. You will not find a more complete IRC client for Android, paid or free.

If you're an avid IRCer this is the client for you. It's constantly being worked on, with new features added and bugs fixed. It looks great on a tablet (my xoom) as well as my crappy phone (samsung blaze). It has all the features you would expect an IRC client to have. Now if there was a way to format notices and include some Oper commands, that would really put it leaps and bounds ahead of the rest. Also please add a command to allow me to kill my former EFnet admin at random times. xoxo Seriously though, if you think IRC is SRS business, this is the client you're looking for.

Very, very nice interface. When scrolling, it randomly and annoyingly selects text as you scroll past. There doesn't seem to be a way to search channels based on text in the channel name or topic like in the best clients. Other than these kinks, it's a solid option.

and I've tried them all. My only issue is theres no themes and if a server sends black text theres no way to read it without selecting text. This needs to be fixed and not worked around.

Seems like a decent IRC client. One question, is there a way to filter out JOIN/QUIT messages? If not, it would be very cool to have it.

  9. Peter Mello-avatar

    Peter Mello

This client has all the features I've ever wanted in an IRC client for my Android devices, and it sports an interface that truly takes advantage of a touch-screen in ways I couldn't have imagined. It appears to be in very active development with new features continuing to be released and bugs being fixed as they are reported.

  10. Justin Martin-avatar

A nice, intuitive interface, but there are a few UI quirks. I've somehow opened the user list, and now I can't close it. It takes up a significant portion of the screen. It also seems like the input boxes don't respect input settings, such as auto-capitalisation. Channel switching is also a bit klunky.
