If I could give this a -1 I would. It is by far the worst app and unit I have ever had. Neither the app or unit communicate, have troubles all the time with disconnection. Called JVC and the solution was to remove the unit from my vehicle and send it in to be checked, with the cost of removal and reinstallation to be at my expense. After paying over $600 for this unit, I'd expect this to work and JVC to be more helpful. Will never purchase another JVC ever again.

This app sucks. But, I think I've finally figured it out. Here's what I did. I updated the HU firmware from JVC website. Then, in your Android settings, go to Accessibility. Make sure JVC web host is on. Now, here's the tricky part. You need to have the right USB cable. My assumption is that you need to use short cable. I've been struggling with the connection issue, but having changed to short (approx. 10cm), the connection has been great. But, I still give it 3 stars because the lack of suppor

My M740BT, my Samsung S5, and I absolutely HATE this app. It's only ever run once and not properly, the app is intrusive and the phone constantly displays a message if you uninstall it that there are no compatible JVC apps on the phone when connected by USB. Very annoying if you just want to connect the bloody phone to listen to some music on the handset. And as others have mentioned, why is this needed when Android Auto exists? And why can't you get that to work on this unit properly either? I'm fairly technically minded and after 4 hours of sitting in my car with the unit draining both the car and the phone's batteries while trying to set up this rubbish I've been reduced to leaving this review out of frustration. Unless JVC/Kenwood update some firmware and some apps I won't be recommending this unit to anybody, it barely has any more functionality than the OEM unit it replaced while these features aren't working.

Terrible, it continually prompts you to do things while driving, minimizes your maps and causes actual driving danger and distractions. Will not let you exit the app will not let you continue without agreeing to pages of fine print all while trying to get somewhere in your car. Not ideal for an app for people who want to drive safer.

only had it a week so far, but really like it. i have a google pixel phone and can run voice, navigation, and everything fine. when i first plug in the phone it does take a little bit to register on the radio but a little patience is not a big deal. I wish u could add apps to it is the only bad thing. I guess i will see hiw this gies as i see all the bad reviews, but for me so far so good and I love it.

Seems like some rokie developed this software/ or JVC doesn't want to spend money. Actually you need to install two app on the phone, Weblink by Abaltec, then JVC smartphone controller software from JVCKenwood. The 2nd software starts the server on the phone. Then you get connected. The product is developed in Malaysia I think, the remote control says so(made in Malaysia). Waze is good, but the screen adjustment should be there as screen doesn't fit in car display. Need some tweaking, my request to JVC is that make the software open-source, we will make it better.

Cannot get this app to work for the life of me with my Galaxy S9 & KW-M740BT. It just constantly says 'disconnected, please connect to a compatible head unit' . The Waze GPS unit that came with my JVC head unit is basically useless until this app is fixed. Absolutely garbage app from what I can tell from the other reviews. Please fix ASAP.

In all fairness, I bought the JVC KW-V640BT and I could not be happier with it. It is a very clean sounding head unit with a lot of home audio features to fine tune the sound. Also keep in mind that JVC did not write the Weblink APP but agreed to use it. The problem I am having issues with is the same APP everyone else is complaining about. The JVC Weblink app. I have not had any connection issues, but the APP is basically useless. The only apps the weblink has that are slightly useful and will display on the screen are the YouTube app and the Yelp app. The map it displays is worthless. WAZE will play through the speakers but will not display and I have to have the JVC connected to Weblink to do that plus I can’t listen to anything else while the WAZE is running. Why do I need Weblink when I can listen to WAZE through the JVC Bluetooth? I took Weblink off of my phone. It was just useless and just took up room on my phone. I can’t believe that some company spent time and money to researched and developed such a useless app and THEN RELEASE IT.

Just find another radio, the Weblink app function is based on a a few apps that must have bought into the app. You cannot add apps nor can you use the system without the JVC weblink even if you use android auto. You will have consistent pop ups when you connect to the usb cable telling you you must download weblink...this is dysfunctional, run away.
