Via is a smarter way to get around New York and Chicago. Take a shared ride in a premium vehicle driven by a professional chauffeur - our revolutionary low flat fare means it's nearly always just $5 per ride! Try the on-demand transit app that is smarter than the subway, better than the bus, and cheaper than a taxi. Use the code "app" when you sign up!
- Via operates on weekdays between 6:00am - 9pm in NYC and 6:30am - 9pm in Chicago ($5 flat fare in both cities)
- Late night service (9pm until midnight) on weekdays in NYC ($7.95 flat fare)
- Ride anywhere within our service area for the same flat fare
- We currently serve Manhattan and central Chicago. Stay tuned! We’re expanding quickly.
When you request a ride, our powerful algorithm matches you with a car going your way. We’ll pick you up on your corner in about 5 minutes. Via makes sharing a car with other passengers seamless and is nearly as fast as a taxi.
Your first ride with Via costs only $5 plus tax, just a few dollars more than the bus. Keep riding for the same price when you prepay. (Prepaying is easy - just buy Ride Credit in your app.) Without prepayment, rides are $7 plus tax.
