Now with ads - don't download or update! Went from 5 Stars to 1. The "UI update" just added ads and another step before you get to you email. I recommend no one downloads this app. It used to be useful, now it's an inconvenience. I'll look for another solution, I suggest everyone else does too. Developers need to understand that you can't just put ads on user's phones.

This app is WONDERFUL! I use an LG V20 and it has a sort of downlevel Gmail widget that doesn't work whether the badges button is pressed or not (in notifications whether for app or in the Oreo "notifications" slot). And this one does!!! I like to look at the screen and see if I have new emails. The Gmail widget doesn't do this and Unread Badge does!!! Gmail has tons of permissions that are unreachable and Unread Badge has only 2. What's up, Google? WONDERFUL.

I've been using this for a while with Nova Launcher. I have a set of navy icons that sit in the dock. But I can't use that special GMail icon & also have an unread count indicator. This makes it possible. I changed the style to match other icons in Nova. Still works in Android 11.

Simply does not work. "With one click, it directly opens the Gmail app..." Not in my experience. After adding widget to home screen, all the widget does is open the help files, which ironically offer no help, other than how to add widget to home screen. Uninstalled.

Poor app. I have multiple gmail accounts and what accounts I post or set a notice for the app sometimes works but too often reports of mail is in the box when there is nothing there. The total number of emails as tokens for quantity also is not accurate. I paid for the top product but don't waste your money. They won't refund it anyway after you see the short comings of this app.

it's great and does what it's meant to do! my only problem is a personal one in that if you're also the type to care about your homescreen aesthetics, it doesn't let you customize how the counter looks like.

First the I tried this,I gave 1 star and a bad review, but I gave it another try several years later, and now it works great, finally have an icon bubble that tells me my amount of incoming gmails,I haven't experienced any ads when I use the icon to open Gmail, and I'm always happy to rewrite a review if it warrants it,and this does, great work Devs, keep it up 👍👍👍 I may even buy the pro version,I'll give it a week and see how it goes,if all is well then the pro version wil be worth the investment

Worked well until Oreo update. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still doesn't seem to work. Tried reinstalling a few more times and now seems to be working again. Update. Stops working intermittently on my Android tablet. Have to restart tablet and all is well for a month or two. Slightly frustrating. No problem on my phone though.

This works perfectly for Gmail. Thanks a lot! The Android 9 version has an issue (or rather, Samsung has not customized it well) due to which apps that show Unread Badge count, such as Gmail, Whatsapp, FB, SMS etc., show an incorrect or Zero count (or, after I open and close an app, the count simply disappears from the Home screen, though I have not yet read the email or Whatsapp message.) This app has restored the correct Unread count for Gmail. We never know when Google and /or Samsung will take their bug seriously and set it right. Therefore, can you PLEASE design similar Unread Badge counts for Whatsapp and SMSes too?

One day in 20 this app will work. Or if I open it and then close it the badge number will appear correctly. Very sporadic. It's a shame...
