Used to achieve its promised task as Tom Tom Speed Cameras, ie camera alerts. Very useful in overlay mode. Since the update, 1. it is currently refusing to run on my device, 2. It has used 1 gigabyte of data, over a period of 28 days, used twice daily for approx 3 hrs total travel time. (I'm guessing the app is downloading map data ALL the time.) 3. The alert box (fixed bottom left) blocks other functions on screen - it should float, not be fixed. Overall... Very disappointed Hendry C

  2. Darroll Walton-avatar

This is an edited review. My last review was 1 star after an update: It appears the developer has listened. The clunkiness has now gone and the app now automatically opens and the last selected overlay. Back to the great functionality the app had prior to the previous update. The app is essential for those who travel a lot or even those who travel occasionally. Allows you to know where speed cameras are in unfamiliar places and let's you know what speed limits are on roads you travel. Brilliant!

  3. Simon Waite-avatar

Nice addition to Google maps nav with overlay mode. But the new version means with have to confirm every camera everyone we pass it? I know we can ignore this, but there's not even a way to clear the notification quickly. Previously a couple taps will do it. Now that bottom right corner of the phone screen is out of use for too long. Average speed cam warnings are stuck there for ages!

Very happy with the current version ^^ Pro's: - New, clean and easy to use interface - Very high quality navigation - Overlay mode is the best for car radio, when you only want warnings about camera's and speedtraps -------------------------- Con's: No way to move the overlay mode's "warning" box around the screen on android car radio

  5. Bram Tops-avatar

The original intent of the app (show/warn safety cameras) has taken a backseat to... showing some kind of map??? We have other apps for that! Maybe amigo has use cases for some, but it's something different than the original app. Give us back the original app please. Per developer request some pointers: - Allow app to start on the current/max speed screen. - Remove permanent large "tap here for overlay" text. That thing is bigger than the Report-button. - Make warnings on that screen the primary (largest) element. - Allow for visual-only warnings for non-immediate situations (slight speeding, speedcam when not speeding, etc). - Allow use of HSP bluetooth profile. One plus though, the design language of the app is already much better than its biggest contender (flitsmeister). Keep it up!

Update: I loved this app but I had a lot of trouble looking for an up after horrible rebranding. I was looking for TomTom but it was nowhere to be found. Apparently the app name and icon style was changed completely. Not only that but the default camera notification sounds and settings were all changed. I was not able to rely on it any more. I am never going to be using it as the main navigation app - there is Google maps for that.I can still use it in overlay mode, but the app never remember

Hello Thank you and Replying to your reponse: Model is G3311 Sony Xperia Android 7.0 Kernel 3.18.35+ Language English I like this app. I have one comment however : I used this to navigate home. I had to deviate from the route indicated by several miles to avoid roadworks. The navigation voice then stopped and was not able to do a route variation to get me back via the altered route. Is this an algorithm issue?

  8. Barry Sumner-avatar

This updated version (downloaded 25/2/2020) is all I can ask for, offers real time full screen speed limits on a dark background as well as providing maps. Thanks it's appreciated. User update. I have this version of the app installed on an iPhone 5S with latest O/S and Xiaomi Mi A2 running Android 10. Both phones give an alarm when the car hits 30 MPH in a 30 limit, however I need to reach 48 MPH in a 40 zone before the alarm sounds. Does anybody else experience similar issues, if so at what speeds.

  9. Paul Elmes-avatar

Great App. Two problems:- the sound is quite muted even with the app volume on full, secondly when changing from map view to overlay there is no sound. Samsung Galaxy S9 plus. Thanks for the reply, all done and working fine. Sometimes will not acknowledge Mobile Speed Camera Areas.

  10. Dean Crawford-avatar

The app STILL has a problem of remembering voice install data from the cogwheel menu of the google text to speech engine options after 5 minutes or so.The recent update has not solved the problem of the app remembering voice install data chosen from Google TTS options on my phones settings.only remembers chosen voice data briefly then returns to the default female voice.

  11. j-avatar

Previous version, before Amigo, was more user-friendly and accurate regarding speed limits. Op for improvement : split screen (favourite) , and/or able user to change location of big square when in overlap mode. Positive: very good on traffic info.

  12. Benlor-avatar

All round good app. Seems to work well. Would be good if you could change the type of vehicle in the sat nav to a car with caravan or truck as the speed limit for them is less. If it did I'd probably pay for this app.

  13. John Raynard-avatar

Not as good as previous version where you had verbal warning of exceeding speed limit please include in any update. Now after 5/3/20 update when exceeding speed limit there is no change in colour of speed band to go with no verbal warning as on previous version

  14. Calum Young-avatar

Removed features in update. I use the avoid motorway feature on my motorbike as on a CBT I'm not allowed on motorways but with the new update this feature is gone meaning I've now wasted the money I spent on the year subscription.

  15. Lee Farrell-avatar

No longer works on my Xtrons car stereo running Android 9, it sometimes starts with a blank map then just closes down, i also no longer get the option to send crash report, great app when working.

  16. Peter Benda-avatar

works very well indeed except it is coming on all on its own sometimes even when auto is off when I don't need it. Not a major problem though.

  17. Sorin Stegarescu-avatar

Can't get a GPS fix, any other app is able to. I guess that sums it up. OnePlus 6 Beta 34 Changed my phone to a S20+, same problem after numerous reinstalls and toggling different settings

  18. Rich ie-avatar

Lost all the great functions of the original speed camera app since amigo appeared....all speed info is tiny and app doesn't work with Google maps like it used too.....either bring back the camera app or it going to be deleted......

  19. Kalim Khan-avatar

Incorrect speed limits. Last update was the worst and the most dangerous ever as it does not allow the user to move the distance pop up on the screen. It occupies the bottom left of the screen permanently making it literally impossible to see that part of the screen in overlay mode. This update must be reversed because before it was possible to move that pop up anywhere on the screen. Reply 1: You should check that with highway authorities regularly as I don't know the names of all the roads.

  20. Jared Kirk-avatar

Since the major update it no longer works. The map doesn't load and the speed limit doesn't display either. Fairly useless now.

  21. Philip Smith-avatar

Good for German built cars that don't show speed cameras. Also reminds you when in average speed camera areas, tells you your average speed so far. Brilliant.

  22. Matthias Gober-avatar

2 out of 3 times the notification type change from voice to alarm. In the settings it says voice is not available. After an app restart voice is available but needs to be set again. This is very annoying and renders the app almost useless because "alarm" doesn't provide speed limit information when a radar box is being approached. This needs to be fixed asap!

  23. Stephen Adams-avatar

Haven't gone on any proper journeys to check it out fully. but on my local commuting to work an back has informed me about all the camera on that journey with voice so maybe all good now cheers guys will update after longer journeys when use ave speed camera etc

  24. Hans Moser-avatar

The recent revamp of the app made it worse. Before it was simple to use. Now it seems you tried to build something with too much functionality, but lost track of the simplicity I loved before. Just as an example: When the phone connects via BT to the car, before it was really simpel to change the volume of the app, so that you can listen to radio, but still hear the informations from the app. Now it's a pain. Quite frankly, the functionality is still great, just miss its previous simplicity.

  25. Andy Young-avatar

The upgrade is so full of bugs. First, when it indicates a camera with it's distance, it stays on screen for the rest of the journey. Second, the voice choosing section says there's no voices..and the FAQ says it is an issue with the phones settings..IT IS's the app. Then they mysteriously come back. And lastly, when you switch from the map screen to the speed display, you can't scroll back the other have to put it in overlay and then press one section to get back...hardly safe

  26. Stefan Parkinson-avatar

The app has been ruined by the change to this new AmiGO format. The old speed cameras app was simple but brilliant, this new iteration has overreached itself. Average speed zones are no longer accurately measured. There is far too much verbiage when reporting the locations of speed cameras. At least give users the option to decide how much we want to hear, for example, I don't need to know how far the camera is away because I've already selected when I want to be informed.

  27. luca selicato-avatar

Dears The navigation panel doesn't show the distance to the destination, it only shows the estimated time. How can I fix that? Thanks

  28. Sam Sung-avatar

I don’t like the new user interface. The interface uses too tiny icons, too small numbers and requires too much attention. In the earlier version of this software, reporting a speed camera was easy. There was a large button at the top of the screen, that could easily be pushed. With this new version of the software, I first have to press a tiny little icon in the upper right corner, which is very hard to hit in the moving car. It then brings up for more tiny icons, of which you need to choose.

  29. Karl G-avatar

I mostly used this as info of what the speed limit was when I'm driving in unknown surroundings, but since the update it never seems to tell me what the speed limit is anymore, just what speed I'm driving, as if it doesn't know or can't connect to a database to find out. I re-installed the old version to see if that would still work but it was now useless compared to before too. It doesn't even know main road limits here It doesn't do the one thing I installed it for anymore so removing it.

  30. Andrew Buckner-avatar

Very pleased with app. I use it only for the speed camera alerts, with my phone in my pocket or glove box, so not worried about seeing maps or overlays. Only one complaint though: the voice warning of approaching cameras is now far too wordy. Would it be possible to go back to the previous more succinct one please? I find the "beep" option too short and now the voice option too long.

  31. simon gicquel-avatar

Very easy and simple to use, I normally just have the speedo showing but having the choice of screens is good. So far only 5 camera's out of 100's have been wrong. Would recommend it . Since the update (early 2020) GPS signal loss is less frequent (going through tunnels etc) which is helpful. The information for the speedo is better and there are more tweaks in the app.

Great to see TomTom making a come back... Been using the application and noticed a few things that need improvement... 1. There needs to be an option to be able to turn off the route voice guidance, but leave all other warnings on... the voice gets annoying after a while. 2. Regarding the voice pack, there seems to be no distinction between, MILE and MILE"S", 1 Mile and below is stated as Mile"s", when it should be "Mile" (that's just my OCD kicking in)... 3. When recieving a call (Skype, WhatsApp, or Regular Call), the application runs in the background, but is no longer visible, rather than the GPS application remaining on the screen and the active call moving to the status bar, so the display treats the GPS application as primary (somewhat like other competitors GPS apps). I find I have to unlock my phone again to see the screen again. 4. There needs to be a way to access the settings page while a route is activated. Currently you need to exit the route to make changes. The above is what I have found so far, hope to see some improvements in the next release... EDIT: Some more things I noticed... 5. The mileage left to destination is not displayed, it should be displayed as it is the only other number we typically look at (other than ETA) on long journeys... 6. Alternative routes, Amigo only gives one route, We should always be given alternatives, despite the fact that it may be further in distance... I know Amigo is free, but so are the other 2 competitors, and the they typically offer most of the features above... Hoping to see Amigo be as good if not better than the rivals...

I loved the previous version which lit up the whole screen and was great in my peripheral vision as I didn't need to look at the screen to know if I was going to fast. However it updated overnight without my say so, and now I really can't stand the hard to see tiny circle. Have to really concentrate on it to see if I'm going over the limit or not. It used to be great in my car and on my motorbike and I had recommended it to all my rider friends. Pleas bring back the old version.

  34. Michael Potts-avatar

I've been using this app for ages. I find it very useful where speed cameras are concerned, but as a sat nav it's a bit limited. If there's a way to add a 'via' to the route, I haven't found it. I preferred the previous version. The mapping looked better, it oriented itself faster, and the bottom of the screen told me the name of the street I was in, rather than asking where I want to go. Still, it's a free app that does the basics. Thank you Tom Tom.

  35. Simon Goldsmith-avatar

New app now back to working well and I find overlay mode really useful. Link to car Bluetooth means I don't have to remember to turn the app on when driving to get the warnings which is great. Great value too - no ads and accurate traffic info. Average speed reporting through known average speed monitored areas is also really helpful.

  36. Daniel Murray-avatar

I would prefer to go back to the old app. The new app constantly disconnects from my car's Bluetooth. I have it set to autostart when it detects my car's Bluetooth, bit because it disconnects from my BT, it keeps closing and then opening the app as I'm driving, which causes Google maps to keep going into picture-in-picture mode. It should just stay open, and not have to reconnect just because the BT disconnects. Also, the notification of speed cameras is not as obvious as before, which is shame

  37. Mikael Storbacka-avatar

This was an great app until latest update. The simplicity/clarity of the app is compromised for a new design. The zoom in/out function has been removed, so you are locked in a view where you can see the cameras/warnings maybe 500m in advance. The alerts and the camera icons are not as visual as before. The volume settings is now hidden in a sub-menu, earier one click. Night mode is a nice add, but otherwise the new design have made this app lose its focus. This is now just a navigation app.

  38. Ene E-avatar

Why does the app keep asking about speed cameras I've already confirmed? The old version used to remember when I had confirmed them.

  39. Justin Gaughan-avatar

It's ok, but lacks many features. At present it's not worth leaving Google Maps, or Waze for.

  40. Keir Menace-avatar

New app is good however it has introduced some problems: 1- Verbal warnings are far too wordy. "speed camera. 30 miles per hour" is succinct and how i remember the old app. Any more is just irritating. 2- in landscape mode the arrow icon is off centre which is really annoying and distracting. Can we have the option to hide the "where to?" box please 3- i really miss the full banner for warnings in overlay mode. Please bring back. Pro's The map is fantastic particularly in night mode 👍

  41. Mike Goode-avatar

Just experienced the update. A massive improvement. The warning ⚠ sound is back hurrah. I'm still to test the accuracy of how intuitive the warning sounds are to the speed limit. But yes a great improvement. Thank you. Below is my old review The previous version would sound an alarm at 4 mph over the speed limit. Now I get a warning at 5 to 7 mph, The reading of my speed is taken from the App (not my Speedo) can this be resolved please ❓ The App worked great before it became amigo !!

  42. NAFIJ KABIR-avatar

This app does not show the correct speed limits in some areas of the UK, I got flashed by a speed camera as the speed limit was 20 mph, but I was following TomTom Amigo which was suggesting the speed limit was 30 mph, so, upon relying on this app I was diving slightly faster than 20 mph. Never rely on this app! Always have your eyes on the road! Waze is a far more better app than TomTom Amigo!!

  43. Darryl Hughes-avatar

Just upgraded to Amigo and it doesn't work for me in landscape! If I could flip the speed and warnings it would be better. Guess it's portrait or nothing 😪 Edit: I can view it horizontally but the Speedo is so far to the left of the display I can't see it where I put my phone. Also in navigation mode the tiny speed overlay is completely obscured. If I could flip the Speedo to the right of the display it would work fine for me!!! Btw I am in Australia and we are right hand drive.

  44. Pavel T-avatar

2 issues you've got to fix : 1) I can't dismiss the pop up symbol which worked in the old app. 2) The app asks me always if the same cam is still there which is pretty annoying; the old one asked me just once, just 1st time I went by. [end] This isn't an issue, I got used to it but I liked the large red area popping up in the old app; if it's your inner autopilot driving, the large red pop up really attracted your attention. BTW, I use only overlay.

  45. Carl B-avatar

Sorry guys, the blue tooth functionality seems to have taken a backward step. I like the Navigation but I get a second or two of the voice before it cuts out, which makes it less useful than before. Edit: The problem only occurs when no route is selected, this is how I used to use the old app - as there was no satnav ability. Now I get correctly read out warnings. These are great on my motorcycle, as I run audio only. I would write more but out of space.

Loved speed camera absolutely hate Amigo. For god sake why add maps. I want to glance and see what the speedlimit is ie its about an inch on screen. Its now so small I have trouble seeing it when I'm stationary let alone driving. And now I have to deal with data usage for maps I don't want or need. The car has sat nav I DONT WANT MAPS. .Now I have to find a new app. Come on guys add a setting to switch maps off and just show speed big & clear. I give you a clue, it's your old app.

  47. Karel Krobath-avatar

The UI buttons are too small, this makes the app hard to use, especially if it is asking for camera status. 1. In overlay mode the dialog buttons "cam still there?" Are one third of my finger. 2. To switch from overlay mode to full size there is a question dialog for "open app" or "rotate ...". @dev Please be aware, that the app should be optimized for drivers, who are actively driving a car with eyes on the road... And not on tiny buttons and multi step dialoges. The functionality is great.

  48. Stuart Murray-avatar

Not as good as the old Tom Tom speed camera app that I previously had. The speed camera, average speed zones and traffic queue overlays are now a small box rather than the large overlay which covered the screen on the old app and were much more eye catching for driving. I use this app as an overlay on Google maps which I use as my sat Nav. Re. dev response. You've misunderstood. I have no use for full screen as I overlay the app. The new overlay design is poor imo when compared to the old app.

  49. Craig Galley-avatar

The new update is dreadful. It's a complete overhaul of the UI and looks terrible. The sound effects are worse than before (seriously, a panic-inducing high pitched noise for a jam WHICH I CAN SEE, and a soft dull thump for an actual speed camera?!). I use the app on top of Google Maps, and you used to be able to load the app and it would automatically go to overlay mode but now it doesn't. Can't even see the visual alerts anymore. Do not update if you have the old version!!

  50. Lee Bladon-avatar

I preferred the old, simpler version and don't need the SatNav functionality. The most annoying thing about the new app is that it always uses my car's bluetooth audio instead of the device speaker, which it is set to use (in the app's settings). If this isn't fixed soon I will have to uninstall the app because it makes hands-free calls unbearable with all the interruptions.

  51. E.M. Jones-avatar

Downloaded the latest tomtom amigos yesterday but there was no map on it. I Uninstalled it. Tried installing it again this morning and it was just the same. Gave up. UPDATE. I had a sudden flash of inspiration this morning, I realised that I had Blokada ad blocker installed on my phone. I disabled it, downloaded Amigo again and everything is absolutely fine. So there we are, Blokada ad blocker allows the whole of Amigo to download and install EXCEPT the map. I've now uninstalled Blkda

  52. gixerloon-avatar

Sorry but the previous version was better, as i could overlay just the speed camera warning over google maps. Which i use daily for work, this newer version doesnt seem to have that ability. The older version uninstalled its self from my phone, thought id try this new version and its a backwards step for my usage, im affraid. Since my review, ive re-,installed Amigo, snd been testing it and actually find it better now.

  53. Chris B-avatar

The old speed camera app was ideal for me as it gave an audible warning when the speed limit was exceeded by 1 mph. The new app although it has many new features does not seem to give an audible warning until one is nearly 5 mph over the limit. This is no use for me and there needs to be a setting to adjust this margin.

I only use the floating speed camera warnings - 3 major problems comparing to the perfect old speed cameras only app: 1) data usage - 800MB per month!!!??? compared to old 150MB. 2) floating proximity square window does not float (bottom left corner), 3) you can't adjust speed camera warning sound or volume. Devs should be fired for not even porting all the basic features from the old app that you forced out of my phone (without my consent). Data amount ridiculous.Fix it!

I actually like the new app as the overlay can still be used and the reporting button onscreen is great but there is a problem, what good is a sat nav when it can't find anything smaller than a town. I can't use the search to find any of the smaller places and it's hard to find them on the map as the name places disappear when I start zooming in. After a reply from the TomTom team they explained you need to know the road name you're going to already, basically this is an address finder only :(

  56. Ovidiu Vint-avatar

Bad uppdate. No more strong sounds for speed cameras . Need to be fixed. Update Jan. 2020 Question for Team TomTom: if you see so many people complaining about new app why you still try to give us this uppdate? You know that have bugs and problems but you push uppdate for everyone, not fair, keep it back in development mode and leave the old app . Why you don't do a separate app? I refuse to do this uppdate.. .😤😤😤

This app needs serious attention. It can't locate simple places like Seatruck, Irish ferries, Stena line and "P&O ferries" Dublin. Also why can't I pick a point on the map manually & have an option to drive. 1 🌟 as it is not much use until these features are added or I might as well just use Google maps. |PS| Stop marking roads as fixed when they are not in the map reporter. I have reported missing roads, 🤯 that's right folks missing roads that older versions had & are missing in 2020 maps. 🤡

  58. Stewart jrg-avatar

Ruined! Worked beautifully in its old iteration but now it warns me of nothing since amigo. What have you done? Do the warnings only work if you're using it as a sat nav? My reply to the reply. Obviously the respondent from TomTom failed to understand what I was saying. I did nothing to the app other than allow it to autoupdate and now it doesn't work. As a result I've switched to radarbot which does give warnings.

Ok, Tom tom speed cameras the first one witch disappeared I don't know why was much better, this one is ok, but it distracts me from the road often when is asking about the cameras also when you cannot make the average speed display to move up or down is only in left corner, is messing up with my navigator as I use a different one, is the best to detect cameras but not for navigating not yet at least, also overlay mode it could be better if when you touch you can have "X" option to close it

  60. Dmitry XOMYT-avatar

A big disappointment. Since AmiGO. 1.No more an option to turn app off from Overlay Mode directly. (-1*). 2.WhereTo doesn't find a thing. Any address, town, country. Really flawless connection, GMaps flies (-1*). 3.Automatic turning on when connected to certain Bluetooth devices does not work (-1*). 4.Really strange behavior - tells me when I'm speeding, but not a one "danger zone" has been signaled (-1*). SO, Speed Cameras (the previous version) was worth 5+ stars... This one is useless. ((

  61. Phil-avatar

excellent accuracy. in screen option is great. camera alert needs to be louder Update - used to love this app and used it all the time. Recently it simply no longer works on my tablet. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no joy. Why change something that worked perfectly well? Very disappointing.

Great app - I use it whenever driving - BUT since the update the information shown when using the app in overlay mode is displayed behind the overlay so is mostly obscured and therefore unreadable. I sent an email with screenshot of the problem to the developer several weeks ago, but no reply or acknowledgement so far. Once this problem is solved, my rating will return to 5 stars.

  63. Reimo Kukk-avatar

It's just to quiet and I can't hear it before speed cameras like I did it with the old version. All possible phone volumes are turned to max level and of course the app's one to. I miss that loud strong PEEPING sound so much!!Please ad it back with the next update. The old version was 100times more foolproof and very effective. Can you sell it to me so I can delete this new one please! Cheers!

  64. Brian Merritt-avatar

Youve made all the effort in making the overlay speed customisable but why have the actual speed camera popups and traffic indications pop up in a completely different area to where the customisable overlay is (always at the bottom of screen)?! They are also impossible to swipe away causing it to block an area of the screen I don't want any popup to occur. Please fix this and have it the way it was when all information and popups are together.

  65. Garbage-avatar

You completely changed this app about five six weeks ago, you have updated it again in the last few weeks the sound is now too quiet the warning sounds used to be very loud now they are just too quiet. Also there is no point me keeping an app that won't let me touch lower left part of the screen due to your app when there is a warning.

  66. Rich-avatar

Genuinely can't believe this is free, I was looking at snoopers and road angels but thought I'd try this beforehand and I'm not going to bother with the aforementioned. The loading on Bluetooth connection option is perfect for the car and after an average speed camera zone it tells you what your average speed was. You can overlay it with other apps too including Google maps if you prefer. A truly fantastic app and full credit to TomTom for making it free.

  67. marek-avatar

Usually I do not rate apps, but after the last big update I stopped using it. Sound notifications aren't loud enough and user interface is terrible. I liked possibility to have just speed limit on screen, but this option isn't available anymore. I am not interested in nav system, I have a car where is included.

  68. YB Cosworth-avatar

Not very good. Having had the original TomTom speed camera app which when overlaid on google maps was fantastic I find this one when using full app to be unreliable and unstable. Every time the charger or engine is switched off the destination is lost. There isnt an option to add "via " locations and there isnt even mileage to destination given. Ive gon back to use the overlay on Google maps to highlight cameras and black spots but it isn't as good as the old one.

  69. Wreaford Ray-avatar

Great app. Free camera alerts, traffic alerts ,stationary traffic. Really great

Love the new updates recently, thank you Tom Tom. The new overlay with both horizontal and landscape options is much better as well as the new GPS feature. I can't wait for it to have more of the Google maps features such as access to contacts so you can put a contacts name instead of having to look up the address. The road safety and warning feature on this app is the best thing about this app. I use it every time I drive.

  71. NDA 4077-avatar

A nice new look but I'm afraid as a speed camera app not so nice. The previous layout had a large one touch button for reporting speed cameras whereas with this new layout you have to navigate a menu to report speed cameras meaning it absolutley cannot be used whilst driviing and therefore less people will report cameras. I also preferred the simplistic view of the old app, yes nice update but I want a speed camera app not a navigation app.

  72. Peter Barras-avatar

Following update to TomTom AmiGo (from TomTom Speed Cameras) NoNE of the funtionality in this app works- not the speedometer, not the map routing, nothing. It is a joke - their developers have ruined an excellent app. Btw. Its not me or my phone its you as Waze and CoPilot work as before on the same device. Update Ive been sent developer conract details without any associated message. If you think im spending time helping you to debug your app or guessing what information you want THINK again.

  73. daryn saxon-avatar

New update...14/02/20 location permission settings worked a treat thank you...... Still hoping a landscape mode is achievable so the curser is centralised. Navigation mode needs a dedicated speed camera button as it's to fussy to report and the camera warnings back to the amber/ red warning band as that was a unique/ clean design. Larger font size and show the road your on in bold letters. I look forward to future updates. I'm using the widget but can't use the navigation the way it looks ATM.

  74. Henry Watson-avatar

The old app was better - but recent updates have improved it a bit - particularly overlay mode. It still won't open by default in speedometer mode, and warnings could be clearer - but it's getting better. The grammar isn't great though - "speed camera in half a miles" (instead of half a mile).

  75. Phil H-avatar

App just crashes when you open it. Have re-installed and it still occurs.

  76. Chris CC-avatar

Before the recent update this was one of the best apps on my phone. Since the update it stopped working. Ive uninstalled it, reinstalled it cleared data cleared cache all required permissions given. To be sure its not my handset ive attempted an instalation on the followig android devices Blackberry motion 8.1 Nokia 7 9.0 And a Samsung 9.0 Had no joy with any of these phones and no help from customer service. Sad to say ive deleted the App :(

  77. Cyril-avatar

App doesn't work. Nothing happens after I press on "count me in". I googled and found out that this is a known bug.

  78. Dave Griffin-avatar

Massive kudos to the Devs for restoring the original alarm chime, thank you. Recently though I've been having an issue where it either doesn't start when I connect to my car or else shuts down mid journey, which didn't happen before. I've turned off battery optimisation and even turned off doze via adb but it still seems to close without reason. Any ideas would be welcome.

The "update" no one asked for. Like buying a car at the car dealership, and over night you switch it out with a boat without asking. If I wanted another generic navigation app I would have downloaded one. A shame really, it was a good clean functional traffic warning system before. Edit: stop pretending it didn't change. Your old voice warning was short and on point. Your new version uses a pointless, two sentence storytelling mode. It's a traffic Hazard now.

  80. Milos Milic-avatar

You started as a speed camera app, but AmiGo ( btw, great name) has so much potential becoming a next big thing and giving Google Maps run for its money. Comparing to regular TomTom Go, routing is on par ( did some side by side comparison), I would like to see more online content like pois, 3D objects, and please make possibility to "drop pin" navigation, hate to type address. So far, completely unexpected, but a real gem from TomTom. Can easily see this as my daily driver in future! 5 stars!!!

  81. Wout Cam-avatar

Amazingly friendly to use and does a great job on the speed traps. A bit barebones at the moment but does the job for navigation and speed warning. I would recommend some additional features like 'estimated time to leave', 'multiple routes', 'comparing routes' etc

  82. Phil Jenkin-avatar

It has some nice features, like start/stop when linked to vehicle bluetooth, but is missing basic settings such as ability to individually switch off verbal navigation directions and camera alerts. I like to know if camera approaching, but don't want continual stream of 'turn left at next junction'.

  83. Reza Sotudeh-avatar

I had previously given the app 1 star. However, after a few driving hours more and tweeking the settings, I can confidently award the app 5 stars. Users need to go further into settings, compared to the earlier version, to enable or disable the functions they were familiar with.

Not an app for speedcams. Sure, it does that, but it has fully featured navigation now.

  85. Faraz Ahmad-avatar

Only reason I am giving 3 stars is inability to dismiss/move certain notices in overlay mode like camera

  86. Pau DriftMaster-avatar

New overlay s*cks Can't be customised and now closing it is a pain. Also takes longer to open as it opens the app first. Now clicking it opens a small menu making it even more of a hassle to close the damn thing. And who decided to make the yes and no buttons even smaller? If anything make them bigger Update: The little window that pops out to indicate distance is now fixed and cant be moved. It's on top of the recenter button on maps

  87. Craig Watt-avatar

Not as good as speed cameras, I've used the older app for a long time without issue and it suited my needs. Since the update to Amigo the speed warning is too small it hasn't picked up average speed zones and no cameras, such a shame as the old app was perfect the way it was.

  88. Sam S-avatar

Latest update has ruined this app. Its now harder to see warnings, speed, average speed, basically everything useful. The pictures seem to have also been designed by a child, and are terrible. If I could roll back to the last version, I would.

  89. Giles B-avatar

Great app, the option to close the app from the overlay mode is now back :) great work guys

  90. kjm 1955-avatar

The volume control needs to be locked into the phone master volume, if used as a overlay with Google maps it gets complicated with 3 different sound volumes. P. S. You should not have to use your finger on the phone while driving to report a driving incident, voice should be used.

  91. Craig Haughan-avatar

Just started using this app but so far so good with warning me about cameras. I'm using it with google maps. One question though does this app still notify you if you are on your bluetooth phone?

  92. Zaki Qaddoureh-avatar

This App was very good before. But after the Last Update, the Speed Limit for Many roads especialy at the Main roads and highways it is Not accurate and Many of It gives Open Speed Limit. This is much confuzing and missleasing to the Driver. I Wish to find someway to Return to the previuos version.

  93. Mike Frizelle-avatar

Oh no - Another good app spoiled by the latest update! Map now almost unreadable (esp nighttime view); no colour change on speedo view; STILL cannot link to my car radio via Bluetooth. Roll back to previous version, please!

  94. EngSco 4-avatar

Very happy user of old version. I been using the new version for few months but I can't adapt to my needs anymore. I though this may change with some updates, but no. Purchased new A70 phone recently and is even not working properly. Vary disappointed :-(

  95. Colin Kay-avatar

Great BUT... the panel indicating speed cam a) is stuck in bottom left screen. It should be movable. b) it can't be flicked away as in prior version. VERY annoying as it blocks text entry and other important icons. PLEASE FIX THIS or the next review will be two stars

  96. Boultervision-avatar

I loved the old version it did just what I wanted. E.G. speed and speed cameras. I do not need the sat nav part this addition has ruined the best app for drivers. If you are not going to revert back to the old version can we have a new one I know call it speed cameras that would be great

  97. Abd-avatar

No voice support,it says choose one of the voices installed in your device,I had to install it from Microsoft but the voice disappears every time I restart or shut down the phone.. B.S..

  98. Gopal Harlow-avatar

Crashes on load. After update. With I could have old app back.

  99. Tony Wheeler-avatar

Great app but one request for the new UI. I use the floating display over Android Auto. It works nicely but can you please enable an easier way to subsequently exit the program? I'd ideally like to see this app auto-start and auto-exit with Android Auto.

  100. Michael Waite-avatar

So I just left and uninstalled the beta (out of frustration) only to find you have been out of beta for a while. Thanks for that! Great communication! Now to see whether you fixed the issues that were evident in beta.
