This is such a great tool! I am a volunteer English teacher and this app is just what I need to help the students of my class. With it have been way easier to show to students that having the same alphabet does not mean you will pronounce the same sounds. The app helps us (Brasil Portuguese speakers) to learn many sounds we do not have in our native phonetics. I am glad for this app.

Good morning, I'm trying to use the app but when am in the app doesn't work. There appear the differents kinds of material to practice, but when I try to begin for example in "short vowels" it's empty. My device has the latest update of Android and doesn't have problems or something that can't allow to work fine. ¿Can you help me? it's a nice and fun to use app. But if you don't have good internet connection, you may get bored and pissed easily. I highly recommend to anyone searching for a transcription teacher. Also helps to improve accent. But it uses data to practice.

It's a good app that will help you practice the vowels sounds. The videos are explained in British accent, so the name of the app is kind of misleading. The videos should be in American accent. It is a good app though

It's clearly NOT American pronounciation, but BEnglish. Example: ago is pronounced sth. like egou in American, here the egeu from British English was shown/taught. Checked with/Source: OALD. Sadly this makes the app highly unusable! Can't afford to learn the wrong pronounciation and transcription, which could cost me the exam. As soon as this is fixed, I would redownload. But for now I will just delete it. Cheers bro

it has some mistakes: the short vowel listed as /e/ should instead be /ɛ/. /ɔː/ and /ɜː/ play the sounds for /ɔ˞/ and /ɝ/, respectively, which is likely a mix-up of American and Received pronunciation, especially looking at the examples, which contain what would be correct in Received pronunciation, but with clips that play their American equivalents. the first two diphthongs are also incorrect.

having the same problem that others are, app installed normally, opens fine, but every category is empty. this might be an issue with the newest Android build? I've had other apps stop working since then haven't been updated to account for the newest Android os.

The app is really good and it can be quite helpful. However, it's definitely not American but British! The word transcriptions use the British IPA symbols and the sounds taught are British.
