Im a music Major and use this metronome all the time. I love how I can set my own tempo by the bpm or by tapping out the beat. I also really like how if I want I can set the time signature and subdivision. That has helped me a lot with baroque performance practice. Sometimes it does glitch out and the different sounds you can set the metronome to will change unexpectedly. However that's an easy fix of tapping them to the correct sound. Overall a good app

App saved me from having to buy an expensive clunky metronome. Installed on every device I have. *Edit 1*: Bought the pulse 2 pack on black friday sale 2019 and a body strap for my kid and I so we can record and learn guitar together without the sound or flashing from the app. From the help the app gave us, I have no doubt the pulse will take us further on our journey. *Edit2* the pulse is the ideal device for reading sheet music. I am glad I bought 2. Really helping my kid and I to progress.

  3. guest-avatar

I like the customization, playlist feature, and the UI layout are familiar and comfortable. But my beef is with the reliability of the platform when playing live. Since the app has no way to automate subdivisions I program them in manually. This means 4/4 ends up being 8 beats with different accent variations for the '1', quarter notes, and eighth notes. Unfortunately beyond 4 beats per bar things can bug out and get wonky (like a 6 beat bar playing back 4 beats - skipping the last two notes of the bar.) They say the metronome is always correct but, whoops - not this time. I've started programming everything beyond 4 beats as a single or double beats, no accent on '1' which works but gets annoying. 4. guest-avatar

Very useful and flexible app! My best friend. I would love if it had some kind of feature where I can alternate between time signatures or write a program for the time signatures of a particular piece and play along with it. As far as I know that's not an option.

  5. guest-avatar

I'm a music tutor and I always find myself using this app and recommending it to the people I tutor. solid 8/10.. That 2 is for some rare and random glitches I get sometimes, but all in all, with all the features it has, it's pretty worth it.

It wont connect my pulse and I give up. It detects it, turns the pulse blue while its connecting then either closes the app or doesnt connect it. I've contacted tech support and they were no help so I guess this is just a wasted purchase. It also wont save the BPMs in my playlist test. Always reverts the songs BPM back to default 120 making the playlist worthless. Tech support said it's a known bug but wasnt fixed as of 1.21. Really disappointed. App was free, the pulse absolutely was not.

  7. guest-avatar

Like the UI! Simple.. much like the real thing. would be nice if it were a little louder.. runs great on my potato phone!! Props to the devs.. has a plug-in for a thing I don't have or know what is, which is cool but doesn't apply to me.

  8. guest-avatar

Terrible. Songs dont save so cant import to a playlist. Everytime I close the app I have to go back in and login and set the watch back up through the tutorial. The wearable metronome is great but the app is not worth the time of day.

  9. guest-avatar

I've tried loads of metronomes this my favourite. I have a feature request though. Could you add the sound that the pocket operators use for their sync pulse so that soundbrenner could act as a master clock for that kind of gear.

  10. guest-avatar

Works Great! I use it for drum practice and I like how it has lots of different sounds to pick from. The default sound wasn't loud enough to hear over my drums so it was nice to be able to pick from different sounds.

  11. guest-avatar

This metronome is powerful. It's more difficult to use than my rockbox metronome, but I haven't found an easier app. It gets updates still because the developers are making metronome hardware.

  12. guest-avatar

Would like to have an accent on the downbeats for subdivided rythms, 8th, 16th, triplets, etc. Would also like to have dotted 8th = (tempo) for x/8 meters. Overall, outstanding.

  13. guest-avatar

Excellent app. If you're looking for a metronome on your phone then this really works. I use it every day for my practise. Recommended.

Does the job. Maybe I haven't figured it out yet, but I would like to have an option for a different metro sound. Like a drum beat or something with a lower pitch.

  15. guest-avatar

It's my main metronome. I really enjoy being able to change the tones of the beats too, making it easier to differentiate which beat.

  16. guest-avatar

Add option of auto tempo increase... Thanks You can still be better.... 👆 the tempo increase at a set interval would make this a sweet app... And wait for my 100 stars if this is included. Thanks developer

  17. guest-avatar

Just amazing. Those people who are new to music Metronome by soundbrenner is going to help you take the first step. Thanks for your work.

I have found this app to be very easy to use. The dials are large and easy to use. The light and clicking sound help with keeping time.

  19. guest-avatar

    The Fap Channel

Please add a sample delay offset or at least being able to use 72.02 ms for perfect synchronization I really hope any of these functions get added soon since this is the only app I've found capable of delaying sound on Android

  20. guest-avatar

Use it like noise canceling headset to cancel out the effects of my tremor. Its not perfect, but it allows me to work and live more comfortably. t

  21. guest-avatar

Having Ableton Link is the reason that I like this app. If it has a bar beat counter it will be perfect. That will deserve a 5 star from me.

  22. guest-avatar

Great app for me whose sense of rhythm was once described as "skechy". Like having a very patient snare drummer backing me up.

  23. guest-avatar

    Kunal Khanwalkar

The only metronome app you need. It also allow you to get the tempo of a song by tapping along to the beat.

  24. guest-avatar

Really is just the best metronome available. Many different rhythms and sounds available and very intuitive to use.

  25. guest-avatar

    Adithya R Upadhya

Much optimisation needed... All the creations added to Song Library is missing all of a sudden!!! Unable to save new creations...

  26. guest-avatar

Great for practice and studio recording. An interface that's easy and stylish.

  27. guest-avatar

    Christopher Messinger

App and watch definitely help me learn rhythm! Me trying to learn rhythm = trying to teach a hippo how to do ballet! So yeah this watch and app helps immensely. It is well designed for my needs too!

  28. guest-avatar

Does exactly what a metronome should, without ads, and has features that you didn't know you needed like loudness adjustment for the individual clicks so you can nail awkward time signatures or just organize your more creative practice routines. Well worth the install time, seeing as that's all it will cost you.

  29. guest-avatar

Keeps bugging on me. When I'm playing it through my bluetooth speaker (so I can better hear it) the tempo speeds up or slows down on its own and I have to stop what I'm doing and change the tempo. I go back and forth and go back to my original number to reset it. I've decided to get a different metronome app instead :/

  30. guest-avatar

Great app. Great watch. My core still won't stay connected. Still waiting on push notifications.

  31. guest-avatar

    Richard Bosworth

Good metronome. A small feature is that sometimes at the start of the repeating set the higher pitched click comes twice.

  32. guest-avatar

My go-to metronome. Simple interface, easy to use, just what I needed. :)

  33. guest-avatar

This app helped me a lot, love it and use it every time I practice. Huge thanks to you guys at soundbrennner

  34. guest-avatar

The Metronome by Soundbrenner is a fantastic App. I used this App even before I purchased the wearable. I found it very convenient to use. On hearing about the features available on the Soundbrenner Core, I was pursuaded to upgrade to the Core. This app works perfect for metronome. But if you upgrade to a Soundbrenner wearable, you have entered into a whole new revolutionary realm. Kudos! To the team. They offer support for all your queries and resolve them. But expect a big delay.

  35. guest-avatar

Good for setting your own rhythm, however the hollow percussive click is slightly irritating EDIT: Increased from 4 stars to 5 stars. Thank you Soundbrenner, but I do not need to email you for help this time, as I have just discovered about twenty options for changing the click. I have now changed it to ride cymbal. Thanks for your amazing product and generously providing it for free.

  36. guest-avatar

Solid. Has weird little glitches every once in a while, but they aren't a big deal.

  37. guest-avatar

When practicing with a shuffle metronome pattern, after a few minutes it will start switching between straight triplets and the shuffle. This has happened with several other beats as well. Sometimes it just pauses on its own. When using straight clicks with no accent, if you switch to the library, settings,or discover tab and go back to the player tab, it will put an accent on beat 1 but it will not show on the accent bar. I love this metronome but these are some small glitches I found PLS FIX:)

  38. guest-avatar

I love this metronome. I've tried a few and this is the best. It's easy to use and sounds good.

  39. guest-avatar

Great app; only complaint so far is making custom songs. If I make one song at let's say 120 bpm, I cant edit the song to another bpm and I tried to delete a custom song, but I need to delete it again to get rid of it, because for some reason the first delete doesnt delete the song. Edit: even when I delete it twice, i need to go out of the song list menu, go back in and delete it one last time, then its fully gone.

  40. guest-avatar

This app is useful and easy to use. I'm going it two stars because they released a version that wasn't compatible with their previous version and to resolve the crashing issue I had to delete all of the work I'd created inside the app. Very disappointing

  41. guest-avatar

Okay for some uses, but it sometimes will throw in extra out of time beats which throw you off.

  42. guest-avatar

Use for ultra slow resistance training rep timing. Perfect, it runs in the background with Tabata timer in froeground.

  43. guest-avatar

As pure metronome this app works well. When it is connected to my Soundbrenner Watch, there are some annoyances. First, when I close the app, then I have to re-enter my username and password at the next start. Second, you need to be online to pair with the watch. Why can't I register once and zhen connect to my watch without internet connection? While I have to be online to pair, this app is useless for me. Third, settings are sonetimes reset or simply ignored.

  44. guest-avatar

Excellent UI. Seriously, it is a balm on my eyes, thank you, responsible for making it happen.

  45. guest-avatar

It controls the audio delay on your device. Fantastic for screen casting to your tv.

  46. guest-avatar

Great app for a metronome but in using it with the Core watch I wished it wouldn't get disconnect as much making the watch show incorrect time. It would also be nice to have a metronome auto shutoff option after a number of bars to kick a song off in the correct tempo live and then stop. A bpm list so you can have tempos for your set would be nice too.

  47. guest-avatar

It's an amazing app, really helps me to perfect my timing on guitar.

  48. guest-avatar

    Chan Souvannarath

Great metronome very easy to use. Everyone should have this.

  49. guest-avatar

A very precise metronome, however, it occasionally needs to be reset so the flashes and the audio synchronize properly. Hint: close your background programs while using the metronome (setting your phone to airplane mode is a prudent choice). When the metronome gets out of sync just close and reopen it. This will usually rectify the problem. If finer tuning is required there's an adjustment in settings to sync the lights and audio. A very good metronome.

  50. guest-avatar

I absolutely love my Soundbrenner Core. It's the best watch I've ever purchased with the fact it has all the musical tools such as a tuner, metronome, and a decibels to warn you of dangerous sound levels in a room. Great job SOUNDBRENNER!

    Ruxandra .Marinescu

Device was ordered in December and arrived in February. Love the entire package. It does what is says. Wish it could automatically recognise bpm cause my band never uses the same patterns and it confuses me. All in all very nice, love it.

  52. guest-avatar

The simple interface is spectacular and easy to use. Exactly what I want in a metronome.

  53. guest-avatar

    Subhajit Goswami

It was the best metronome app before it's last update. Surely it would earn 5 * , but now with the latest update it's not performing well. It gives an extra noise with each beats repeatedly, it sounds like I'm using a delay padel with my metronome which is not quite good. I'm huge disappointed with ur last update. Please fix the issue , apart from that it is the best metronome in play store.

  54. guest-avatar

    Michael Elliott

I absolutely love this app, although I wish that the tempo would keep going without stopping. Because then I would have to replay it again. Which kind of w pain in the butt. Overall, this app is awesome. Great way to organize you song list to prepare for a gig or church. 😀👍

  55. guest-avatar

The idea of the metronome is good, and some good customisations are provided. But there are a lot of bugs that needs to be fixed, like the accent and beats interchange and it gets all messed up by itself. Also it keeps running in the background even when you quit the app and it consumes a lot of battery because of that.

  56. guest-avatar

Like the fact that you can turn the woodblock metronome to a kick and snare.

  57. guest-avatar

While the general functionality of the app is /okay/, actual usability is sub-par. • When closing the app, connected wearables completely disconnect from the phone • When navigating between metronome and other screens on the phone, the metronome frequently resets on the device, visibly desynchronizing. • Wearable connectivity tends to remain inconsistent, often "searching" for a device indefinitely, even when connected moments prior. • Saved beats are often overwritten with defaults… randomly?

  58. guest-avatar

On the good side: The first App I came across that displays the BPM rate of incoming MIDI clock. On the bad / needs urgent improvement side: Forced portrait mode make this app not tablet friendly. Please allow landscape mode. As much as I appreciate the MIDI clock sync feature (I need it a lot), I have to say that "EXT Sync - disable in MIDI settings" popup is really really ugly. It is a waste of precious screen estate and I would much prefer a big display of the detected BPM rate instead.

  59. guest-avatar

Good app but while you play bit long it will get stop in between..I don't know why.

  60. guest-avatar

really nice app works perfectly and it's really good if you need something to practice drums to

  61. guest-avatar

An excellent tool for working professional musician. Many thanks.

  62. guest-avatar

Great app. Very simple and easy to use. I've been looking for something like this. I have tried other apps, but they lock certain features unless you use premium. Would recomendes for someone looking for a basic metronome with a variety of different beat types to keep time with.

  63. guest-avatar

    Juri Castellani

I really like the amount of features! Better then others metronome apps

  64. guest-avatar

I just downloaded the app for the sole purpose of a simple metronome, and I find it very good! I like that there is no requirement to sign up, and the interface is easy to navigate. I also enjoy being able to exit the app/ turning off the phone but still have the metronome ticking on the background.

  65. guest-avatar

    Santiago Flores

Very good app, and is cool that you can pair it with a smartwatch they sell along with abelton link to practice with your band. Though I'm giving it 5 stars there's a 2 changes I wish to occur. Addition for polyrhythm and polymeter support and allowing for a saved song to be a click track instead of a single bar. Though these are both niche needs, it would push this app farther into superiority over other apps

  66. guest-avatar

OK. At first the app was totally unusable, with loads of bugs. Soundbrenner helped me to get up and running, but still there's a timing problem. Tempo is very erratic, which, for a metronome, is a very big problem!

  67. guest-avatar

    Michael Semekor

Lags with other apps opened. Especially when you're online with stuff downloading in the background

  68. guest-avatar

    Jordan Richmond

This app tears through battery use (its 11 am, have barely used my phone and I'm down to 15%) Uninstalling. Also their watch broke within 24 hours. This company is not ready for prime-time. Update: support was useless. The app cant pair with my core and the last core watch bricked and had to be returned. It also took about 15 emails to get a new one.

  69. guest-avatar

Having used various free and paid metronome apps, I am amazed by how poor most of them are. This one is great. It's an easy to use interface. You can set up any meter and easily change the stressed beats in the meter on the fly in real-time. Impressive. Simple.

  70. guest-avatar

It's a nice app but I have found that the rather irritating voice count feature cannot be disabled. Even after deselecting I hear 'one' on the first beat of every bar. Contacted support but all they did was ask for a video. Goodness!

  71. guest-avatar

The app plus the core itself is really amazing. Bugs if any are really bearable. Buying the core is worth it!

  72. guest-avatar

Overall good app. Downsides are that it's quiet (phone at full volume), and there are no options for time signatures above 16/8. It sucks being unable to properly practice time signatures such as 17/8, 19/8, 20/8, and 27/8.

  73. guest-avatar

I like the UI, it's really clean but there are a lot of bugs with the beat and also in the notification shade. The turn off or pause button doesn't actually work. Moreover, it would randomly just stop from time to time and I had to go back into the app to restart it

  74. guest-avatar

Very good metronome. Clear and easy to use.

  75. guest-avatar

I use this app for workouts. Works great for pushup, pullup, squat, and situp tempos. Plenty of other uses too, such as pace timing for running (180 bpm). Easy to use app.

  76. guest-avatar

This metronome is one of the best you can find free on the google play store though it would be nice if it says if its allegro, moderato, andante ex. Another feature I'd like to have had is a way to pause the metronome outside if the app (in notifications)

  77. guest-avatar

Best metronome so far. Very much like the 'flash /w each beat' function. The sounds of the countings cuts through the sounds of the drums and cymbal without being too annoying.

  78. guest-avatar

Sometimes the sounds are wonky but other than that it works

  79. guest-avatar

Amazing app, this is just what I needed to continue practicing!

If you are serious about making music this device will help in the process.... It's as important as having the best instrument you can afford.... It's that valuable...this device is a "must have" working tool.....get one as soon as possible.

Seems to be really good, I'm a bit excited to try it in tonight's practice. (Feedback update): This app is great, it includes a lot of helpful features and you can try it and get the best out of it. Highly recommended!

When I first received the core, it had a defective battery and had to be replaced. The support team was extremely helpful and my replacement arrived within a week. I am so thankful for their help and support so I can enjoy this fantastic product. I am 100% satisfied with the Core and I just want to give special thanks to Rose and Saba for all their help

  84. guest-avatar

Great metronome. The sub-divison and accent options are great. The only issue is that it's a bit glitchy: it speeds up and slow down at time. I sometimes use bluetooth, so test it on and off bluetooth.

  85. guest-avatar

Have issues with the accent note. Seems to Jump Around. While playing 1/8 notes, sometimes it would hit on both the 1 and the And. Hard to know where you're at when the accent note keeps jumping around. Glad I didn't waste my money on the watch.

  86. guest-avatar

Amazing app! Easy to use with great functionality.

  87. guest-avatar

Simple and practical metronome that's free to use.

  88. guest-avatar

What more could you want from a Metronome, speed is easily adjusted, as is the beats/bar You'll obviously need more than this to learn to play any instrument, but if is ideal for keeping you in time

  89. guest-avatar

Works well on android phone but had issues on my Samsung galaxy tablet. It does not adapt to landscape view and has caused the tablet to crash multiple times, leaving to potential hardware damage. Overall a good app.

What an unintuitive app name! It took me forever to search the new app name on my phone. I couldn't. I ended up installing a new app cause I couldn't find yours. I thought it was uninstalled or something. "Metronome" was so simple! "Sounbrener."... Smart move.

Great timing tool for daily practice when arranging or composing music at various time signatures. I would recommend do to the able to product consistent on time.

  92. guest-avatar

amazing app.. a suggestion> can add a timer which rings after every 3 mins (should be adjustable) or so.. so that if someone is practicing they can practice different lines for set timings. can you please add one e en da to the human voice

Great metronome. Easy to use, precise, simple and powerful. I use it very often in my classes to teach students tempo, time signatures and counting.

  94. guest-avatar

Useful app with some cool customization. Occasionally buggy but i feel like it's improved with a recent update. My wish/recommendation: have a setting where you can make the click go silent every other measure.

This app was amazing, there is a lot of customization, and helps me with my music practice a ton.

Different sounds are great. Works well. Tap feature works well. 4/5 because it's cluttered with options for their watch thing. But it doesn't push that device on you so 4.5.

Love it. Super easy to use. Like that can change time signatures and that the first beat of each measure is a slightly different pitch..

I've not been able to find a better metronome app. There are definitely things that could be improved on with this app, but overall it gets the job done with a little error.

Best metronome app by far, and I have used many different ones They continuously update things to make it functional and professional.
