I see now rewrite 10 has much more than I realized, because they moved the controls around. It is actually a pretty informative app, says 300,000 ships entered, locateable by GPS and map, satellite images, and collected ship pictures, also seaworthy news reports of events. Also work vacancies by job titles, and by cargo styles.

Can't even search for a particular ship all it does is play ads every time you push a button.

After almost any operation, the app launches not just ads but unbelievably intrusive ones that play sound effects at maximum volume. Since my phone is hooked up to my stereo for music, I jump about a foot high every time that happens. Allowing ads that violently take over my home stereo discredits the developer. I could buy the app. That's reasonable except that it's not a purchase made in good faith, but under Mafia-like conditions: I will allow other people to hurt you unless you pay up.

This app quickly went from a 5 to a 1 for me. The app content is great but it began to force notifications onto my phone. Even with the notification prompt unchecked, they still come through. Even bypassing my phone's"do not disturb", they ring out during the night. When the app turned on my screen recorder I uninstalled it for good. Stay away from this thing...

The "near me" feature never works. --Update since Galasoft AK responded: I checked my settings. i have all of the permissions for the app turned on, and i have my location settings all enabled on my phone. I have a Samsung Note 9. It does not work 100% of the time. It says "processing" and then errors out.

One of the best marine trackers I have used others have a delay or need to pay for a full view, but this one has it for free at the cost of ads after a few uses.

Able to see vessels within a 15-mile radius, but it doesn't update outside of this. FindShip does update and appears to have more info and realtime status indicators in a wider area.

Will not give you the latest time or date. if you log in a vessel and check on it HOURS or a DAY later, it's still on the SAME DAY, SAME LOCATION, HASN'T MOVED OR CHANGED.
