Rolande B.V. is overtuigd van de vele voordelen van het rijden op vloeibaar aardgas en biogas voor het wegtransport. De transporteur heeft te maken met steeds strengere milieueisen en hogere kosten. Ook het geproduceerde geluid tijdens laden en lossen wordt onderworpen aan een steeds strengere wetgeving. Het inzetten van LNG-trucks biedt de oplossing voor deze problemen.

Rolande B.V. heeft het initiatief genomen om het rijden op LNG in Nederland en Europa mogelijk te maken. Rolande B.V. is een volledige dochteronderneming van IVECO-dealer Schouten. De afgelopen jaren heeft het innovatieve bedrijf gevestigd in Giessen (Noord-Brabant) hard gewerkt aan het mee-ontwikkelen van trucks op LNG en de ontwikkeling en bouw van LNG-tankstations. Dit heeft er uiteindelijk toe geleid dat het LNG-systeem op de IVECO Stralis in de fabriek wordt opgebouwd en deze trucks een Europese typegoedkeuring hebben. Voor het uitrollen van de gehele keten van tankstations, distributie, inkoop, klanten en het voorzien van trucks- ontving Rolande B.V. subsidie van het Nederlandse ministerie van Economische zaken. AgentschapNL heeft hiermee de ontwikkelingen van de infrastructuur voor LNG als transportbrandstof in Nederland ondersteund.

Bedrijfsactiviteiten
Rolande B.V. heeft als core business de in- en verkoop van LNG en Bio-LNG dat voornamelijk wordt gebruikt als brandstof voor het zware wegtransport. Daarnaast zijn er nog de volgende andere bedrijfsactiviteiten:

- Ontwikkeling, bouw en exploitatie van LNG-tankfaciliteiten
- LNG truckrental en verkoop
- Ondersteuning en advies bij de overstap naar LNG
- Transport van LNG voor het wegtransport of industriële toepassing

Rolande B.V. verzorgt in samenwerking met Titan LNG ook de levering van LNG voor andere (industriële) toepassingen. Vooral het transport van Cryogene gassen en het overladen hiervan is zeer specialistisch werk. Rolande B.V. en Titan LNG hebben hier ruime ervaring mee en gebruiken eigen transportmiddelen. Voor het transport van LNG beschikt Rolande B.V. over 20ft, 40ft en 45ft tankcontainers.
Rolande B.V. is convinced of the advantages of running on liquefied natural gas and biogas for road transport. The carrier has to deal with increasingly stringent environmental requirements and higher costs. The noise produced during loading and unloading will be subject to increasingly stringent legislation. The deployment of LNG trucks provides the solution to these problems.

Rolande B.V. has taken the initiative to allow driving on LNG in the Netherlands and Europe. Rolande B.V. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Iveco Dealer Schouten. In recent years the innovative company has established working hard in Giessen (Noord-Brabant) to co-develop trucks on LNG and the development and construction of LNG stations. This ultimately led to the LNG system is built on the Iveco Stralis factory and these trucks have a European type. Before rolling out the entire chain of service stations, distribution, procurement, customer and providing trucks- received Rolande B.V. grant from the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs. AgentschapNL has thus supported the development of the infrastructure for LNG as a transport fuel in the Netherlands.
