I love the game so 5 stars. However for the last week or so it barely loads. It either freezes or shuts down completely. Sometimes it gets to The main menu and other times it won't get that far. The farthest I can get anymore is hitting daily puzzle. Then freeze or crash. It has been this way since the most recent Android update which I'm guessing is the culprit. Any ideas?

I'm elderly and I have worked crossword puzzles since I was 17 yrs old... In an app, in newspaper and books. This Penny Dell app is the best cell phone app anywhere in my opinion. UPDATE: this app like other apps are using ads that you can't get out of. It's back and forth from the play store to back to the ad....back and forth. 😡. I leave the app totally and restart. With another ad but usually one that doesn't have the bad component. Come on Dell, y'all are better than this....or I hope so.

Crosswords were fine. Hated the same tic toc ad over and over again. The only way to clear it was to actually click on it. No matter how long you waited it would not clear until clicked to go to download site. Pretty piss poor trickery if you ask me. Uninstalling now.

My copy of this app closes as soon as I hit the daily puzzle button. I cleaned out the cache; I also just uninstalled and reinstalled it, but the problem continues. I liked this app when it opened. Please help.

I just installed this app and played the first puzzle. I didn't have any problems, knew the answers, didn't need any hints, made no mistakes. Didn't learn anything new. It took maybe 20 minutes to complete. Would like there to be an option of a timer. Wasn't particularly thrilling, no bells, no whistles, no applause...just straight to the point. Subtle, quiet, non-intimidating, easy to learn for new gamers like me. No great desire to play again. But if I do, I will try a more difficult puzzle.

Going off the good reviews, I downloaded this app less than two minutes ago. Unfortunately, upon opening the app, it was quite clear to me this app was made for those who like the blocky, "Wordart" style. It's very reminiscent of 2007's Microsoft Word. I opened the Daily Puzzle no less than three times, and each time it refused to load. My phone even pulled me out of the app with a lovely "Crossword Not Working". A swift uninstall.

This is most like a regular crsswrd puzzle to me and that's why I enjoy it so much. It's very easy and I love how you can choose your level of difficulty. The only miniscule issue I have with it is that when I first open the app it will freeze and I have to close and restart it. But, to me, that's really not a big deal. That's why I gave it 5 stars.

Good but LOUD. Enjoy the game itself. But before a recent update, I could silence my phone to avoid hearing the ads. Not anymore. So I can no longer play it in public places. Terrible.

Great app. My only disappointment (and surprise) is that without a login option, your history is lost if you have to clear data, or uninstall/reinstall the app (at least with the free version).
