Suggestions 1) add a gray font on the black background in night mode. White text on black shines too bright and creates too much of a contrast to read at night with lights off. 2) Folder system of Instapaper is good. I could keep my leisure read articles in one folder, work related in one and news ones in the third. Please enable the folder feature in pocket too. I won't even have to use a bookmark manager 3) Add underlining feature. While researching it's good to have 2 kinds of markup tools

First of all, I love Pocket, if I had to choose the top 3 apps that I would have on any device I own, Pocket would be #1. But now, coming to more serious details, I believe that you guys should integrate the percentage feature. What I mean is that alongside the time required to read an article, you should also input a feature that allows the user to see what percentage of the writing has he read or what percentage remains to be read. Articles listened to should when opened show the end of it.

May 2020 Lol this still hasn't changed. Open the app and look at it. There is no way to add a site manually. How about a big plus sign? Or an Add button? The icons are still unintuitive & unlabeled. Click on a link you've saved. What's that pocket-looking icon at the top? Oh look, I just archived my link and it's gone. I didn't notice the Undo dialog before it faded away. Where did it go? You'll figure it out. And now you have to pay a subscription to keep an offsite version of your links.

I've been using Pocket for many years now. It's one my default apps in any new device. It allows me to storage important news I want to read later; even to keep a Diary of my brain storms, so I can go back to them by syncing on any device. The interface for reading without the annoying advertising it's one of the best features, in such a way that most of the articles I want to read I just add them to Pocket with 2 clicks and I prefer to read them from there. I recommend this app 100%.

Tl;Dr - Realiable, Versatile, Informative. Pocket is an amazing app. It provides a place to bookmark different things on the Internet while formatting it to improve the readability of the articles. I have been using this for the past 5 years and store here all the things I find interesting. The recommended articles are also a great way of knowing about different things and give a curated list of high quality articles on various subject. Overall I'll give this app the highest rating possible.

I love this app so much! It's a blessing for when you don't want to open your browser or go through your bookmarks for the millionth time looking for that article you wanted to read but put it off for later. This keeps everything saved, organized and gives pretty good recommendations too based on what you usually read. Thank you for this app :)

  7. Matevž Krajnik-avatar

    Matevž Krajnik

I started using Pocket more and more in the last few weeks, as I come across a lot of interesting articles on the web, but don't want to take the time to read them straight away. It works great with the Chrome extension. I would give 5 stars, if I could hide the articles I've already read, since I don't read them in the same order as I save them to the app.

  8. Diego Quiroga N-avatar

    Diego Quiroga N

App is very hard to use, it is tricky to create tags, you need to go to an article to create your tags (if I want to create tags BEFORE to save articles, it is not possible) , it is impossible to add a simple (copy-paste) article from chrome (android) or another android app to your pocket without extensions Edit: I did not know "share" option on google app (android) to save articles (Instapaper teached me), you need to create an tutorial of how to use the app to avoid bad users experiences

  9. Ivan Kostka-avatar

    Ivan Kostka

I have been using Pocket app for many years now. I love its Share feature, its estimated time to read a piece, that it's cross-platform, and so much more! It's my default app to saving stuff to read later.

  10. Kaye Hamilton-Smith-avatar

    Kaye Hamilton-Smith

My husband and I have been using pocket for several years. We save news or interesting articles for the other to read. I save recipes and trad them to find what I want when reading to cook. It is well worth the subscription price for us.

The best text reading app in the market. They have an awesome collection of articles which is updated daily. Thank you so much Team Pocket .

I will recommend this app to anyone. I love the idea of saving in on place the sites I choose intersing, and reading in another time. You can organize by clasifying by themes. I'll feel loss without this application.

  13. Agne Serpytyte-avatar

    Agne Serpytyte

Essential app! It's like a small library of your articles to read or to keep. I have a stack of 500 WIRED articles and slowly going through them. Good to have a place to read offline without distractions.

  14. Ayanda Gamedze-avatar

    Ayanda Gamedze

No complaints here. Does exactly as promised, and no sneaky ads (or, if I've just stopped noticing them from using this app so long, no ads of annoying frequency). Really neat.

  15. Gary Griffiths-avatar

    Gary Griffiths

The best app I've ever not paid for, I have it running on my phone, my tablet & on two computers (desktop & laptop). Never had a problem with & it sync's brilliantly on all platforms.

Great app to save and more importantly discover articles! It's a shame the collection of articles shrunk greatly, I used to be able to scroll almost endlessly but not anymore.

  17. Alex Stone-avatar

It was quite good but the reader mode is getting worse and worse, it removes text that has any styling randomly (on scribblehub for example) otherwise for storing links is ok

  18. Вячеслав Лось-avatar

I was dreaming about app like this and even was planning to design something like that, but fortunately I've found Pocket. The best app for articles reading maniacs.

  19. Alan Helfer-avatar

    Alan Helfer

I have been using this app for years, on multiple Android devices. I simply wanted to be able to save important web pages so I could view them offline later, as the app advertised. It worked sometimes, but was extremely inconsistent and could not be relied upon to actually re-display pages when I needed them most, that is, when I had no internet connection available. Other people might find a use for this app, but don't expect it to save articles reliably for offline viewing. I've found that these days the "download" icon in Android's Chrome browser works very well for this purpose.

  20. Catherine O'Sullivan-avatar

    Catherine O'Sullivan

Pocket is simply fantastic - It allows me to save content I discover so it doesn't distract me in the moment - It is such a pleasure to then set aside time to consume what I have saved

  21. Magnolia Namaskara-avatar

Love it.💖 Lets me save articles before news feed reloads and save helpful hints, etc. Easy to use. Can archive once done reading. Really useful & helpful!

  22. Jowell happy adams-avatar

    Jowell happy adams

Is an amazing app but after a page is saved to read it, and later you decide to listen to this, you can not start in an selected paragraphs, you have to swipe up and move it forward manually, and swipe down again, you just can pause without swipe, you can not see the words that you are listening to being highlighted on the screen, and the screen doesn't scroll down automatically at the same time you listening to it, it could be really helpful

  23. Jay Labay-avatar

    Jay Labay

This gives the best platform to read long articles free of clutter. Plus it allows you to save those articles so you can go back and reread or reference it in the future. In addition the community gives so much of interesting relevant articles to learn or to just be entertained.

  24. Desert Zuki-avatar

  27. Don Camp-avatar

    Don Camp

These people are really pissing me off. The app is filled with upgrade nags that show up on just about every screen. I didn't mind it when there was just the one, on the main reading list screen, but now it's on every article, in the add tags dialog, and it follows along every time you touch a link. I've used Pocket since it was called Read it Later, but now I'm about done with them. I'm looking for an alternative that doesn't intrude on EVERYTHING I try to read!

  28. Pratik Giri-avatar

  30. James George-avatar

    James George

Throughout the day I come across so many articles on Google's home feed or Reddit, etc. I want to read them all but don't always have the time for it right then and there. Pocket app helps me save these articles for later reading. The function to read the articles to me as if it is a podcast is pretty useful as well. Very minor issues with aesthetics or how the app handles certain websites and pictures would be my only gripe.

  31. Edgar Galustian-avatar

    Edgar Galustian

There is an issue with typing tags via the mobile keyboard. Often the delete key stops working at a random character position (in most cases after space). In order to fix the mistyped tag I would have to cancel it and reopen the tag-window again. The app functionality is not being limited by that, but it occurs almost every time. Overall I'm very happy with the service you are offering and would have instantly rate it 5 , but find it right to rate it 4 , just to give the issue some value.

  32. Venkat Ramakrishna-avatar

  35. Linden H-avatar

    Linden H

Bookmarks articles from everywhere, syncs seamlessly, and allows me to dive back in where I left off at any time. Pocket makes it so much easier for me to spend my commute time learning. My only wish is that I could mark a new article as archived from my browser's "share" feature, the way the desktop browser plugin does.

  36. M-avatar

The reason why I'm giving Pocket a bad review is that a long time has passed (8/16/19, which they responded by mail) and they still haven't fixed two major issues: 1) You CANNOT increase Font Size in highlights window, only the article font, which translates as uncomfortable reading 2) You CAN ONLY highlight text, but CANNOT ADD your own notes, like Instapaper. For some, this is just whining, but hey, the premium service is not cheap and these features can really boost productivity.

  37. Jessica Seal-avatar

    Jessica Seal

This is an exceptional app that needs better organization system too many thoughts and ideas to add in this description but one simple one might be some general tags or rather, categories, as well as custom tags. I'm lost for any and every android user.

  38. Marcus Fringe-avatar

    Marcus Fringe

Phenomenal program used to store and share images through other programs without issues. It's great for its intended purpose as well, allowing you to download article versions of most webpages so you can read them either at a later date or simply without ads splitting the information through long scrolls. Note that often times if a site has poor formatting for mobile view your article view either won't download or just look weird.

  39. wani adil-avatar

I'm using this app for a year now. Its good. The only thing annoying is any notification from any other app, stops it from reading the article and then it starts reading from the start again. Also there should be different voice options. Hope this problem will be addressed very soon. Still four stars from me ★★★★ :)

This app is indispensable. I have never reviewed an app before, but this one I cannot say enough about. It saves everything including videos. It cleans up. It reads the articles. It sorts them, archives them., and shares and distributes them...all quickly and simply. Indispensable!!

  41. Bill Crews-avatar

ALMOST PERFECT FREE READER. MY READER OF CHOICE. Web clipper is almost instantaneous -- gets ALMOST everything. Very readable typeface -- allows choice of 1 serif & 1 non-serif font, option to buy others. Mode light or dark. Links within app to Web pages WHEN LINKS ARE CLIPPED. That's about the only rub -- not all links are clipped, and it doesn't let you know when they aren't. But a GREAT READER.

  42. Greg Walters-avatar

    Greg Walters

Clean interface presents saved articles in a tidy, easy-to-read format and gets out of the way. Sorting and organizing articles is simple. For me, Pocket is the solution to the challenges of reading longer articles on the internet, especially when I read something across more than one sitting.

  43. Xuân Hùng Vũ-avatar

    Xuân Hùng Vũ

I've found out that the listening function is not available for Vietnamese as it always says "No internet connection". However, when I turn off Stream Best-quality voices, the Text-to-speech engine works fine. For English articles, turning on Stream Best-quality works, but it's kind of interrupted at the first 3-4s of the articles. I hope you could improve the Listening function, such as it can auto turn off Stream Best-quality voices for non-English articles so we don't have to do that manually

Until today's upgrade, it was a great 5-star application. After upgrade, however, the articles from newspapers such as "Wall Street Journal," "New York Times," and "Washington Post" can be opened in the Full Web View ONLY. With the articles opened in Web Viee, Pocket no longer reads the articles aloud and does not let users to make and save highlights. Please fix this problem asap, return Pocket its 5 stars! I use Pocket on Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus and I am a Premium Pocket subscriber.

Could use some more article browsing features, but it's great at what it does. Newest update has diminished the function of the Discover feature, where it lists articles I've already seen and is basically useless for daily browsing. Step backward.

Pocket provides a wide range of articles from a plethora of genres. I particularly like that the length of the articles is described in terms of how long it'll take to read. The design is user-friendly and functional. I also like the option to flip pages rather than scrolling as I read.

  59. Marianne Law-avatar

Pocket is my go-to filing cabinet of information. Quick and easy to find saved websites and information. Easy to use, and I couldn't be without it. I used to print out everything on paper, and had papers unorganized and everywhere! No more mess! Thank you!

  60. Luiz Freitas-avatar

    Luiz Freitas

Works great, but it bothers me that I can't read the article immediately after sharing it. I need to open the app first instead of having a link to take me to the article directly. It seems intentional, as this is the behaviour in the chrome extension.

Indeed it is a best app to store your weblinks and articles online. Very easy to access. However, if a feature of categorizing the links either by labeling or creating lists of topics would be very helpful. Waiting for the feature to be added. A star in rating pending for that.

This app is amazing. It's so convenient for when I find a news article and don't have the time to read it but want to come back to it later. It integrates with the share menu really nicely and the reading view is amazing.

Great for reading articles that you've saved before. It's difficult to include your interests or manually search for articles but will start recommending similar ones to topics you've read before.

It is superb, but it doesn't support RTL.

After one of the latest update I have big problem with sync. E.g. if I delete something on one device, I'm still see it on other. I deleted or archived same things multiple time.

Functional with a great UI. Doesn't overwhelm a user with unnecessary alerts and information. Does exactly what you would want you pocket to be - store/save things you didn't know you had :-)

A great app but the support for external website links such as YouTube is awful. The app should just open the link in the proper application instead of trying to load some broken article or in-app reading view.

I have used this app for years. It's great for saving important articles which you may not find later down the track.

This is an amazing platform for someone like me who opens many articles and cannot afford to keep more than 20 chrome tabs opened up. This makes the article reading experience so much fun.

It's great for reading web articles anywhere and anytime I want. I enjoy the fact that I can categorize my article by putting different tags on them. L

This app is great for offline reader like me. In fact I could still read my favorite articles everywhere and also listen as well. Thanks developers, this is a great idea for me.

The best app out there for seamless and ad-free reading. Extremely pleased to the performance. However confused over the difference it stated price for Premium when bought from web and app. Otherwise love it. 😊

The new popup that takes over the whole screen when you add an item instead of the one that would just appear at the bottom is really annoying. Very nice service otherwise.

Unable to tag articles on Samsung Tab S6. Have to type one character at a time, then highlight the field again to type the second character and so on...

Absolutely love this app, being able to read with or without internet, on the go, saving articles for later.

This is the best app to save and read articles from anywhere Have a lot of features for articles But its not that good with videos, posts or photos I wish if developers can care with this things and make some integrations like Facebook or YouTube... Etc
