No maps ?? , Not saving pictures or video , can't change any settings like reset , or ft to meters , WiFi from the drone is why there is no maps I'm sure you could give instructions how to fix this , camera cuts out at 80 meters .,. This app seriously needs a update asap ! People are buying this drone and are stuck with a app which is very very poor , I have heard holy stones customer service is brilliant , they really need to sort this app out asap

People Are using this one because it's the one in the qr code in the handbook.. other holystone products have other apps. Not the same for all holystone drones...but yes, this one sucks

I also think they do not need access to the entire phone for a drone app. When I contacted the developers they basically said don't worry.... right.. Now the app stopped recording video. It shows that it's recording and I see the video stream on my phone. It even confirms when I stop recording that it was successful, but the videos are nowhere to be found. What good is it if you can't record?

I bought the HS510, and followed the instructions exactly to connect my Samsung S9+ running Android 10. I can see, and easily connect to the drones wifi network. When I open the app, however, I get the "over time" message and no data transfer. I tried switching to a static IP, as that was one of the only options available to me. No dice. Contacted the company and was told to update. I already had the latest version. Asked for help through here. No dice. This is extremely disappointing as this was my first drone purchase and the app simply does not work.

Everyone please remember that everytime you turn your drone and controller on you have to pair them. Also, if you are flying in a slightly different area for the first time, you must re-calibrate your drone. I have the HS700D and had problems the 2nd time I took it out. Could not connect it to the remote, no sattelites, nothing. Called support, this is info they told me. I told them it would be very helpful if these statements were in the manual. Hope this helps anyone thats having this issue.

If your $$$ smart phone, regardless of brand , doesn't have enough free memory available that the drone app must use to operate then it's better that it doesn't connect ! Free up space by closing ALL other apps and put anything Google to sleep ( stop running ). Save yourself a wrecked drone. It would be good if the app tells the user exactly what the phone's lacking ie, speed,. free memory , rf bands ...etc.

V3.0.7 won't connect, it just gives an "over time" error which, while cryptic, means the drone is connected to your phone but will not allow the camera to connect or allow you to control the drone from your phone. They broke it good. Revert back to v3.0.5 and it works fine. Don't know how to revert? Google is your friend, then turn off auto updates and stick with the app that works.

Unable to use directions as they are in a language I do not understand. Why require an app with non-English support for English-speaking users? Looks great on my phone. I know I am taking photos and video, but no support regarding where to locate those pics and videos afterward? I want to take advantage of special features, but the instructions make no sense. I would just play around and figure it out on my own if I wasn't afraid of crashing my drone into a tree or some power lines.

As a number of others have said, once you connect to the Drone Wifi (Holystone) wait for the pop up option to appear. Click it, and it will say there's no internet connection, do you want to stay connected. Tick the box so it never asks again, and then click yes. This will connect your phone to the Drone and give you the video feed.Why two stars? It's all in translated mandarin which makes no sense and there's no guide on how to use the app.

I have the hs720. Totally pleased with it. In fact I use an older prepaid Samsung phone to connect and fly. Behaves exactly as advertised. Pictures are of great quality. The RTH, follow me is perfect. Controls perfect. Perfect for beginner like myself. I practice at only the 5 foot level, set flight parameters at minimum and make sure GPS is on, and low speed. After an hour practice took it to new heights. Just make sure you have 7 or more GPS to rth. Also, as the manual says, rth, the drone will rise to 50 feet and then descend. Like all drones battery life is only 20 minutes and 5 hours to charge. Got a free battery from Holystone by writing a review and feedback. Most drones if this features and quality are $1000. No problem with phone memory with 16gb. Use a micross class 10 card for photos/videos.
