Installed it in my Vu Globe Android tv. It doesn't work at all. Poor support from Netflix as well.


JFC this app is ridiculous. One day it works fine, the other day it's tvq-pm-100 (5.2.5) all the time. We're subscribing because we don't want to pirate your movies, make a reality check and fix your silly drms.


Most shows just don't load past 25%. My internet speed as tested in the app is 78mbps. All other apps on the tv and Netflix on other devices are perfect.


This TV version load movies really slow compared to the mobile version. Plus it didn't play in HD most of the time. I side-loaded a mobile version to my Android TV, and everything works flawlessly.


After the update the app not compatible with my TV !!!!!!


Why don't you use the regular Android App as a base, and create a new view for Android TV. That's what Plex does. It doesn't make sense to have 2 apps. Twice the bugs. Plus, this one get far less love than the standard Android app.

I have the Telus Pik TV box, which I ordered specifically to stream Netflix on my TV. It worked fine until the last update and now it crashes after about 5 minutes of a show. So if I want to watch Netflix on my TV, I have to run it on my laptop and Cast to it :/

Netflix app does not work on AirTv Player (Android TV) since last March Update, it keep crashing,


I like the app, BUT it has a MAJOR issue. The app frequently gets stuck on the loading page with the spinning icon. The requires a hard reset of the TV.


Can't play 4k and HDR movies since March 6, 2019 update on my Sony Android TV, it stucks at 24% buffering forever. I have contacted help support, but thing just goes in the circle, they blame the ISP but the ISP is fine, try to sign-out and sign-in, factory reset my TV, nothing is fixed. I think it's this Netflix version issue, not ISP nor my devices. I would change my rating if Netflix fixes this issue. Nothing has been fixed, I decide to downgrade my plan to Standard.next month, it's non sense to pay for premium plan and you can not watch HDR, 4K movies


There are several issues on my Xiaomi Mi Box: - sometimes app hangs on a loading screen - sometimes presents random errors when I am choosing movie


I am using this subscription since month now, however with latest update of Android TV this application stopped working. I contacted Netflix support but they were blunt saying I can drop the subscription. However provided no solution to the issue I was reporting. With Android TV 8.0 Netflix application is not working. Do we expect any solution to the issue or we have to live with the same.


This app is not compatible with my android TV. I do not know why is there no support for android TV. I have a VU android TV.


I'm not sure why it's saying that my Android TV is not optimized for Netflix. It maybe has something to do with the app rather than the TV,

Overly good BUT.. Don't have the option "don't show/propose this movie again" No respect for movie makers. Credits cut off straight away.


Horrible implementation. Even worse than the Windows store app. There are no genres. Only the usual "Beacuse you watched this..." with rediculous relations.

hyper agressive drm detriments the experience. better off using a chromecast it seems. doesn't integrate well with local search agent, cast built it, or google assistant. i've put up with it for a long time as the ATV ecosystem was maturing, but netflix is pretty much the worst actor on the platform.


Just installed on my new Android TV. i have a different version on my phone even though both devices have Android 8. Works well even though I get an error saying it's not optimised for my TV with error code -14.


Not playing videos at all with the latest version on Sony TV Video starts loading and gets to 75% or 99%, starts playing the audio, but no video, just sits at the loading screen. Was working fine before the update.


Please update your app with regards to the Android TV and Smart TV in general. Consider the subscribers using those who are using the said devices. Very disappointing.

My Android Box (YokaTV KB2 Pro) is now not able to start the Netflix app. Just for your information, you lose one more customer. I will cancel my subscription. I give you 2 stars since I was able to use the app and watch for around 8 months I have this box.

Netflix has been becoming increasingly more hostile towards their users for quite some time now. I am fed up, will likely be canceling my account soon. I'm ok with price increases, I'm ok with changing content, and long time popular things getting cycled off. What kills me is that they continually make their UI less usable. Auto preview basically makes the app unusable. Let me hide content I'll never watch.


Netflix was working on my Mecool M8S Pro L Android TV till two days ago and now. I am getting an error NW-6-404, contacted the customer support and they said that the device is not compatible. Why was it working on the same device couple of days ago then? It seems customer service is over crowded there and they just give you the very standard answers to your questions and problems.


Automatically updated to v4.0.4 of this app, which does not play any videos on Android TVs. There's no way to uninstall updates to go back to the previous version, and the only solution that seems to work is to perform a factory reset and start with pre-installed version. Can't believe I'm still paying for the subscription.


Why does this app (Android TV) not support an obvious feature that would highly increase usability: voice control to search for stuff! I like the new sidebar navigation, because it's much easier.


Please add the ability to add to "play next" feature in Android Oreo on Android TV. Also please add the more options to channels like one for "my list" or "continue watching". I would love for the ability to add separate channels for different profiles. It gets old changing which profile shows up on channels on the home screen.


needs to support casting from multiple accounts, instead of just the account that is signed in. Really annoying to log out of my account so that my other siblings can use theirs when they stop by.


Bad judder using this app


They've come a long way. It rarely crashes anymore and I do not need to login all the time. The app is compatible with the Shield TV, where it usually works great! Only wish they had more content and that older stuff would not disappear all the time.

The sound and video are sped up on my google player (nexus player).


This app is on my TV. "My List" should be the first thing on the screen when I go into the application -- not the very last. I HATE that the app starts playing clips from things at the top of the screen when I merely navigate to them on the category screen. I need to be able to turn that off. Why do I have to select which user this is every time I enter the app? It's always the same user. If it was a different one, I could change it. Basically, the Android TV version is loud and pushy and poorly organized. The only reason I haven't canceled my service is that I'm unsure any of the other streaming services are any less obnoxious. Try signing up with someone else. Let me know if they're any better.

Netflix, this app is completely unusable on the Shield right now. See the Nvidia forums for many many complaints over the last few weeks. Like others, I am experiencing intermittent periods of buffering that last for 10 minutes or more. I have had to switch to other devices for Netflix. YouTube, Playstation Vue, and Amazon Video all work great on the Shield, it's just Netflix that is broken.


I had an Apple TV and was happy with my Netflix experience. Now I have an Nvidia Shield (2017) and the Netflix app for Android TV is absolute trash. It buffers inexplicably during playback and for a long time before playback. When it's playing the video quality is terrible. I pay for 4K and HDR content but I get compressed garbage. Chromecasting from my iPhone directly to the TV works fantastic, the buffering is quick and the video quality is on par with what I expect from streamed 4K HDR content but the Android TV app is BROKEN. I don't want to switch input sources just for Netflix. My network is a Cat6 wired 1000 Mbit beast with no problems in any other streaming service and I use a plethora of them. Again, my TV (LG B6) handles Netflix better than a premium set-top box running Android TV. Fix this abomination.


I have been trying to use this on my 4k tv and Mibox. Error code tvq-mp-100. I dont know who to blame for this but its getting a little ridiculous between Xiaomi and Netflix we cant get a fix out there. If only i could give No Stars!!!!


Can't get past the login screen, the password field is broken. I've tried several different hardware and software methods. Trying to use the AndroidTV app to copy my password in, results in a jumble of duplicated characters that don't represent the original copy. Other apps are fine with the remote app. Certain special characters in the built in app keyboard don't seem to work - the character representation bullets don't increase when used and sometimes decrease(!) when tapping on characters. Above a certain amount of characters, inputing characters sometimes just doesn't register.


I can't see any videos for more than 20 seconds on my Xiaomi Mi Box. I got the Tvq-mp-100 error. Netflix help center says they are working to solve the problem.

Using on nVidia Shield: it works, but... ...I can't use it because it outputs "Dolby Digital Plus" instead of "Dolby Digital". My TV won't decode "Dolby Digital Plus", so... I'm stuck with stereo sound instead of Dolby Digitial 5.1. no...I can't afford to buy a new receiver, be careful if your gear is older than 2 years...

Wish this worked like all other Google Cast enabled apps (in my case, NVIDIA Shield TV). This is the only one that I know of that doesn't support casting from a phone/device or PC. Attempting to Google Cast from another device will just prompt the profile selection screen even if I am logged into the same account and profile on the TV . Selecting a profile and attempting to cast again doesn't work either as the app on the device or PC times out with an error. A huge step back from the Chromecast which is 1/4 of the price a decent Android TV set-up costs.


No auto frame rate switching (we want to see films in their proper frame rate if our TV's support it, eg. 24p)!!!! Autoplay when reading details of a movie sucks, who told you that was a good idea?!!!! App is not appearing on the new multitask menu with Android Nougat (7)

Netflix does not work on MI Box. When trying to watch a show I keep receiving an error message. Support from both Netflix and Xiaomi are non existent. Maybe it is time to try another platform.

Horrible stability on Nexus Player.


While the content is still very good. The app lately got miserable. Constant crashes, unresponsiveness and sporadic app restarts.


Crashes after about 15 seconds of play on Nexus Player / Android 7.0.


A week ago stopped working on my nexus player. The app start but before start the movie the screen goes black and TV say "lost HDMI signal"

No Romanian translation on my ADT-1. Version used maxed out at 1.0.4 (10 August 2015)... On my Bravia TV Romanian translation is available. Please solve this issue. Till then 1 star rating.


Unstable. If I have NVidia sharing enabled (i.e., system camera) it just displays a red "X" and refuses to play content, because it thinks I'm stealing it by using an inbuilt system process.


Interestingly My Netflix app for Android tv, (Mi BOX) Does not list hdr, nor UHD programming. And my mi box android tv is official, with android tv official from google.


It is generally a nice application. But latest update on android TV (nvidia shield TV) is buggy. After one or 2 video sessions it suddenly shows red X saying they cannot playback the video, You have to put nvidia shield on stand by or restart it to solve this issue. This is really annoying. I never had such problems on any platform before than this with netflix.


4K and HDR are both work in this version but Netflix HDR doesn't look as good as local HDR. Recently i've been getting lots of "We're having trouble playing this title at the moment"


App is pretty good, works very well in my Shield Android TV. Although I wish I don't have to click 'Continue Watching' every now and then while I continuously play some TV series. Giving only 4 stars because the app sometimes stops without any notice, no crash report, nothing. It just quits ! Hope Netflix team would fix this soon. Update 21-Aug-2016: the app just keeps crashing every now and then. By now I have sent about a hundred crash report and still no fix. Reducing from 4 stars to 2 stars.

Doesn't work anymore. Split screen apears and other than using some G for password nothing is happening. I've rebooted the TV, close the app from Settings >> Apps >> Netflix >> Force close. No longer works with top level voice search on AndroidTV. No more Netflix results on Google Now search cards. App was supposed to be getting "in app" voice search, but now no voice search results at all. (Plex and Hulu work)


Doesn't support the basic functionality of being able to search across libraries in Android TV. Supports voice search in app but not at home screen with the search cards.


I love Netflix on all my devices, especially Android TV (4K programs on: XBR65X850C; XBR43X830C) But bedroom dumb tv has a Razer Forge TV and Netflix isn't installable.


It's been terrible since the April update. Crashes and skipped framerates. Downgraded to January update and it's better. Cm on netflix. I've submitted logs dozens of times a week.

Netflix what have you done???? Used to work ok (well the 5.1 sound didn't work very well, was clipping a lot). Now there is no 5.1 at all and the app crashes systematically after about 30 minutes of playing. It started crashing right about at the date you updated the sw. It's unusable now. Fix it Netflix!!!


Is netflix for AndroidTV/Sony at version 3.02 or 3.1? I apprently have 3.1, I'm a little confused since people are reporting 3.02 is the latest.


Can't play any shows or movies and Netflix support tries to blame it on me saying "the connection to [my] android box is being blocked by the data from old movies and shows streamed on it that were supposed to be deleted from the network". I was then recommended to ask my ISP to "do a full reset of [my] network". Maybe someone can make sense of this garbage recommendation.

It's okay. It gets the job done. You can watch Netflix. Yet it doesn't integrate well with the features of Android TV: voice search, global search, recommendations, and Live Channels. That's the difference between a mediocre app and a great app.

Odd stuttering and audio hiccups on Nexus Player on 6.0.1 which requires you to force close the app or restart the device to temporarily fix. Also 5.1 surround still not working, just a broken stream on receiver so have to switch audio stream to stereo every, single, time. In serious need of some work to fix all these problems. Now I'm getting error UI 800-3 cannot connect to Netflix and restarting, reinstalling and testing internet connection doesn't work!!! CAN'T USE IT AT ALL!


The autoplay feature is super annoying. I want to be able to read a show's description without it playing. Hitting 'B' button from main screen should exit, like every other app, not open a menu. When opening the app, I don't want to have to select a profile. I only have one profile; it should be auto selected. Android TV has voice search, but this app instead opts for a onscreen keyboard. Why is this a separate app? It should be the same app that runs on non-tv devices.


Pauses for buffering every 10-60 minutes and locks up at 25%. Requires complete reboot of TV to continue watching, making Netflix unwatchable on my new Bravia 4k TV. Very frustrating to drop $3500 for a TV and then have the primary content source be unusable. Sony support confirms this is a Netflix App issue, not a TV issue.


Good interface but missing on the strengths of Android tv like universal search, recommendation. The app freezes from time to time while playing video.
