The NABU Bird World is the free app for bird lovers and everyone else who cares about the protection of our nature and its diversity. The fully functional free basic version of the new NABU bird app replaces the previous NABU bird app, but contains 80 additional bird species and lots of new functions. There is a separate identification table for each species. These are the special wow factor of the app, because they consist of cut-out photos that can hardly be distinguished from the best bird drawings, but show a lot more details. The boards show the typical plumage of a species, the most important features are marked directly on the boards. Distribution maps for all 308 bird species as well as a search and updated identification function are already included in the free basic version. You can use the app to create watch lists and export them for your own use as well as for participation in the NABU “Hour of Winter Birds” and “Hour of Garden Birds” campaigns. These nationwide registration campaigns at the beginning of January and mid-May are aimed at all nature lovers. With your participation you help to record trends in the populations of the species and help to initiate the necessary protective measures. The basic version of the app can be expanded with in-app purchases: This includes bird calls, 3D birds, photos of eggs, and videos that show the typical behavior of birds in their natural environment. Thanks to the proceeds from these extensions, the app with its basic functions can be offered free of charge. Another part of the proceeds from in-app purchases goes to NABU's work for the protection of nature and, in particular, the local bird life. Die voll funktionsfähige kostenlose Basisversion der neuen NABU-Vogel-App ersetzt die frühere NABU-Vogel-App, enthält aber 80 zusätzliche Vogelarten und jede Menge neuer Funktionen.
