This app went from "amazing" to a "dud"! I get limiting the movies down to 3 a month, but unless you retrieve tickets earlier in the day, instead of at the actual time you want to see a movie, you won't be able to. It seems like moviepass is now limiting the number of tickets "sold" each day to it's customers (in total) and when that number is reached no showings are available anywhere! They're now ripping their customers off!!

Don't waste your money. It used to be great, but they cut down on coverage of movies and showtimes as well as ease of use, and communication is virtually nonexistent. Most weeks they cover movies that barely have showtimes any more, and today the app didn't list any showtimes available at my theater even though my theater listed several showings of several "covered" movies today. Customer "service" is a joke since you can't get in touch with anyone, and when you do they dance around questions anyway. I'm sad to say it, but I'm done with MoviePass. It's a waste of money for a service they say they provide but don't. :(

To Those Responsible: Your website doesn't work properly nor does the mobile app(yes I have the latest app). Unable to pick a theatre, etc., on and on, ad nauseum. In hindsight, should've cancelled in May '18 when Movie Pass as a business began having such monumental problems. Yet, I wanted to have faith in the company. We all want to see wonderful movies, at near incredible prices no less. Hey, for what it's worth, you are still in business aren't you? Do you actually care about your customers? Thousands of people like me, who paid one year in advance, in full, with trust in what you claimed your product to be. Running a large business is a complicated venture but in your preliminary business plan you must have foreseen very serious issues with it. And yet, you did it anyway... Yes, as a customer I deserve some blame. If it seems to good to be true, it probably is. And it was. Caveat Emptor. Sincerely, CJ

Used to be awesome, but now they dictate what movies you can see (mostly crappy ones) and limit you to only three a month. You might be able to see a blockbuster every once in a while. B, c, and d level movies are allotted one or two per day (to select from). If you're going to limit the quantity, don't limit the quality. If you're going to limit quality, don't limit quantity. A far cry from the original MoviePass - any movie any day once every 24 hours as it used to be. Truly sad what it has become. At least AMC allows three movies a week. My wife and I have cancelled after 3 years. Just sad.

It was great at the beginning and even when they started the 3 movie a month policy. Even when they had the peak pricing. But now it is just not worth it the movies that they post on their weekly movie schedule aren't always in theatres and even when they are the times disappear. For instance today I wanted to watch venom. At 10am I checked the app and it had 2 times listed, at 12:30 I checked again and it still had the times. I checked at 2pm and all the times were gone. Even though they were at like 7 and 8pm!!!!. This is like the 3rd time this has happened. This is a great concept and absolutely loved it at first but I am really frustrated with it and have canceled my subscription.

The service used to be great, but its been on a steady decline and is now horrible. The company is continually changing the service on almost a weekly basis, making it less and less useable. When I signed up, it was "One movie a day"", no restrictions. In the last few months, they've added thing like, you can't see the same movie twice, you must prove to them that you saw your movie, you can only see movies they approve (at times they approve), and new users can see only 3 movies a week. Me and my wife used to see just one movie a week, on bargain Tuesday so we could get cheap popcorn, which meant the movie tickets were $5. Somehow though, this fell into the App's "Prime Time Ticketing" category which means the tickets were too expensive and we couldn't see movies in the evening. We could have gone at 10 in the morning though, so if we didn't work the app may have remained useable. Their support is also atrocious, they respond once a week (Monday afternoons) without actually reading your support ticket, they just copy-paste a generic response. I highly recommend against getting this app/signing up for this service. Perhaps one day they will return to their original service which was actually pretty good.

Moviepass used to be good... I first got moviepass a year ago and it was great. We had unlimited movies for 9.99 a month and we used that all the time. Now moviepass is just a waste of money. We are limited to only a select few of movies to pick from. However, the app is broken somehow. I only have 0-2 available movies to choose from. Today, we were planning on seeing Venom since it was the only movie playing on the app. So an hour before we plan on seeing it, I go back in the app and find out the movie just plain out disappeared and every single movie says it's unavailable. This is way unacceptable. Moviepass is basically just taking your money at this point and wasting your time. It's the worst service ever. I was trying to stick around as long as I could and see if moviepass would pick up but I've just had too many problems with it. Another thing is I saw 2/3 movies in my month and it wouldn't let me see 3rd. It claimed I had already seen 3 when in fact I did not. It's a cheat. Moviepass needs to make some changes because it's super disappointing

Started it great, unlimited movies for $10, can't beat it. Completely unsustainable, so when they switched to only 3 movies for $10 I understood. Still a great deal. Then they started only showing certain movies on certain days. Annoying but I can still work around that. But now the last 2 times in a row I've gone to see a specific movie on a day when their website said it would be available, the app didn't even have it listed. I'll be cancelling soon, don't waist your money

I have to rate a 1 star because It might be useful to someone who wants to be told what movies they can watch. But definitely a horrible service and business, I bought a year long subscription, in the beginning it was great then every week or so there was a change to the subscription. It went from unlimited to restricted to 4 a month then surge rates for new movies then limited movie times and now they select no name movies that you can watch at certain times. I'm sorry, but don't know why we have to watch a movie that they choose on their time. I can't get a refund either, or I was told. their support service is highly unprofessional, they just stopped answering me. if you have time to watch random movies and like to see random no names then get this. But those who want to watch a movie they want on their schedule, I would definitely not recommend this. I don't mean to bash the service just give a transparent review.
