Can't even connect to the dash cam let alone use the app. It requires me to connect to the hotspot, which has no internet access, then tells me it's not connected. The other app (70mai) required me to enter a code sent by email within 60 seconds. I don't even receive the email within 60 seconds!

For those who cannot connect to app eventhough have connected to dash cam wifi, go to setting on your phone app, find mi dash cam, go to battery, and enable permission for files and storage also permission for location. Android phone will automatically disable this setting if you hasn't use the app for a period of time. It works for me after hours of trying to figure out. And enable your gps before connecting.

Ok recently tried to connect but cannot. The new app apparently require to turn on LOCATION. So it not yet give permission, you need to give. And you must turn ON location as well before running the app. WHY DOES THE APP NEED LOCATION???? DOES NOT MAKE SENSE, OTHER THAN TO TRACK USER LOCATION. But what the hell, if developer wish to know where I am, you can know it. Just don't bomb me.

Both dash cam and the app don't work properly. I've had successful runs with the device about 10% of the time. The device keeps on resetting the date and time, making all footage unusable in case of an accident. Most of the time I can't even access the footage through my phone. Had to reset it multiple times because it stops reading the SD card no matter what card is installed. We got it because it's the cheapest option but 90% of the time it's not even there. Save your money, buy something else

I cant connect initially. But after turning and allowing location service, app works just fine. I can now view and transfer video files to my android phone

Was working fine previously with Android 8. After updating firmware to Android 9.1, not able to connect to the Mijia even though connected via dash cam's WiFi hotspot as usual. Please fix. Error messages : (1) "Not connected to dash cam's Wi-Fi hotspot" (2) "Connected to unknown ssid"

for those who can't connect to the camera via the app: ensure you turned on Location and turn off Bluetooth. however, would appreciate if the developer continue to update the app as it has been quite a while since any update was made. otherwise, it does for what it's intended.

Absolute shite app. camera is fine and all however the app itself is practically a useless, after connecting to hotspot it does not do anything it just stays there and says "not connected to dash cam's wifi hotspot" even though in your phone its connected.DONT BOTHER WASTE OF TIME
