• There is a bug in the operating system only found in 7.1.1 Nougat which should be fixed in 7.1.2. Setting a background colour hides the app's graphics. This affects all apps on Android which don't use the default background colour. We have changed our app to correct this so it will now work correctly for 7.1.1 users.

How to install Magnetometer v1.1 on Android API 16+
Takes about 2 minutes. You'll need roughly 1.3 MB of free storage.
- Grab uk.co.spacerocket.magnetometer_15.apk — hit the Download button above (1.3 MB). If your browser warns about APK files, choose Keep or Download anyway — that warning fires on every APK, not just this one.
- Trust your browser to install — on Android 8+ go to Settings → Apps → Special access → Install unknown apps, pick the app you downloaded with (Chrome, Firefox, Files, etc.), and flip Allow from this source. On older Android, toggle Unknown sources under Security.
- (Optional) Verify the file — compute the MD5 of the downloaded APK and make sure it matches da7957a0e21a6c18…. Any difference means the file is corrupted or tampered — delete and re-download.
